In part (2), the central type (1/2•3/4/5) is described. It covers a wide area over most of the Kinki districts around Kyoto and Osaka. The relationship between sexism and mate preference was investigated to elucidate characteristics of sexist courtship styles. A relationship with an opposite-sex partner is a contradiction for sexist individuals because they seek an opposite-sex partner despite their discriminatory attitudes and beliefs regarding the opposite sex. Therefore, this study hypothesized that there would be a tendency for sexist individuals not to seek emotional bonds with their partners, but to seek egocentric and instrumental relationships. Questionnaires were administered to university students (n=400). The results indicated that male sexists tended to emphasize the partner's physical attractiveness and female sexists tended to emphasize the partner's financial situation, physical attractiveness, and the desire for short-term relationships. These results were discussed in terms of sexist adaptation to opposite-sex relationships.

The proper use of condoms is one of the most effective types of protection against HIV. One of the major factors that negatively affect the use of condoms is embarrassment caused by using or negotiating to use condoms. To clarify the causes and effects of embarrassment on using or negotiating to use condoms, 186 undergraduate student volunteers were investigated. The results showed that patterns of types of embarrassment were unclear when they used or negotiated to use condoms. Moreover, structural equation modeling revealed that the embarrassment felt by males was strongly promoted by apprehension of the partner's evaluation, while the embarrassment felt by females was strongly promoted by vagueness in the kind of guidelines aimed at behavior regarding condom use or negotiation to use condoms. Implications of this study on HIV prevention, especially the intervention method of promoting condom use or negotiation to use condoms, are also discussed.

エジソンが録音機器を1877年に発明した12年後,ブラームスがピアノで〈ハンガリー舞曲第1番〉をシリンダー録音し,後で「ブラームス」と叫んでいる声を放送で聴いた記憶があるが,この声は自身によるものか,他者が紹介している声なのか判別が難しいとされている.この頃,ドイツ音楽の巨匠の3大Bの一人である彼が,日本音楽と出会い,興味を示したといわれている.白いあごひげを蓄えたブラームスが,妙齢な女性の奏でる『六段』の箏の調べに耳を傾け,楽譜に見入る姿が四曲一隻の屏風に描かれている.プラームスの真髄は,ドイツ音楽そのものの伝統が隅々にまで浸透していることは言うまでもない.慎重な計画性と入念な仕上げは,重厚な表現を生み,絶対的な孤独や諦念に満ちた抒情性と秘められた憧れの表出が,質朴な人間性となじみながら深化し,浄福の味わいを持つに至っている.その彼が,日本文化の到来に刺激を受け,作品構造のひとかけらに,にじませていったものがあるのではないかと,その発見に取り組むことにした.そこで,1888年頃,『六段』をウィーンで聴取した年に一致する彼の作品《二重協奏曲》に焦点をあて,日本文化の作風への波及について論じたものである.

This paper shows that the famous western-style house called “The Former Guggenheim House” was actually built by J.Lyons in Shioya, Kobe, from the end of 1907 to 1908. “The Former Lyons house,” also known as the former Takeuchi house, was built by J.Guggenheim. For a long time, those two houses have been mistaken. J.Lyons established J.Lyons & Co., and this company will later become Nickel and Lyons Ltd.. F.M.Jonas and P.Watson, who were deeply connected with J.Lyons, joined his company and acquired land in Shioya. We can affirm that J.Lyons influenced the development of Shioya into a resort area.

Just before the large earthquakes in Bohai, Haicheng, Luhuo, Tangshan, and Songpan in northern and southwestern China, anomalous changes in radon content in groundwater from wells and springs were recorded at most of the observation stations. From the compilation of the records of radon anomalies, characteristic features of the imminent radon changes prior to a large earthquake are derived: (1) spike-like anomalous changes; (2) inhomogeneity of the spatial distribution of the anomalies around the epicentral area; and (3) migration and spatiotemporal evolution of anomalies. Understanding of the characteristics of radon anomaly is of importance and will contribute much to the prediction of an impending large earthquake.

目的: 若者に対するエイズ予防介入プロジェクトの一環として, 地方A県の女子高校生が, なぜ性交渉時にコンドームを使わないようになってしまうのかを質的研究法を用いて分析する.対象と方法: A県の女子高校生41名に対し, フォーカス・グループ・インタビューを8グループ実施した. 対象者として, 交際相手を有すると思われる友人同士6名前後を, スノーボール・サンプリングによりリクルートした. 分析は修正版グラウンデッド・セオリー・アプローチを使った.結果: 対象者は「治る性病より直らない妊娠」をより心配しているにも係わらず, 実際のコンドーム「使用は相手次第」であり, 結果的に膣内・膣外射精を繰り返し, それでも簡単には妊娠しないことを経験的に学習して「独自の避妊意識」を形成し, コンドーム不使用を定着させていた. また, 交際相手が社会人の場合は「妊娠してもかまわない」と考えたり, コンドーム購入を恥ずかしさ等による「購入阻害」要因により回避したり, 不快経験から「コンドーム嫌悪」に陥ったりして, 不使用に至っていた. さらに, 対象者が仮にSTDに関心を抱いても, 入手できる「予防学的情報の不足」から, コンドームを使わない「独自の予防認識」を形成し, やはり不使用に終っていた.結論: コンドーム不使用における相互作用プロセスを含む若者の多様な性文化の把握なしでは, 包括的なエイズ予防法を開発しがたい可能性が示唆された.

Candida aurisは2009年に我が国において患者の外耳道から分離・報告された新しいカンジダの一種である。多くの菌株で高い環境生残性・抗真菌薬耐性傾向を示し,商業ベースの検査方法では診断できないという特徴がある。そのため,真菌では初めてとなる汎世界的流行を引き起こし,世界40か国,6つの地域で検出報告がある。すでに500近い論文が発表され,そのうちいくつかではout breakも報告されている1)。急速な世界的拡大,多剤耐性による高い死亡率を持つことから,2016年Centers for Disease control and Prevention(CDC)はC. aurisを「薬剤耐性脅威レポート」においてurgent threats(もっとも優先度の高い脅威)に位置付け,警告をしている。ここ10年で世界的脅威となりつつある,C. aurisについて概説する。

This article sets out the classification of stretching techniques as the basic physical therapy approach for the limitation of joint motion. To achieve adequate stretching for muscle shortening, it is necessary to evaluate joint instability, laxity and alignment, and muscle conditions, such as the limit to joint movement imposed by muscle contraction. And in this article, the concept of muscle stretching for lateral hamstring muscles and triceps surae muscles is introduced.

本稿では、統一教会信者の入信・教化過程をジェンダー論の視点から考察する。ジェンダー秩序の形成が女性信者の宗教実践、教団戦略とどのように関連しているのかを明らかにすることで、従来「マインド・コントロール」として告発されている心理的・社会的影響力行使の中身と意味が明らかになるのではないかと考えている。以下の知見を得た。未婚・既婚を問わず、女性信者の入信・教化の過程において、統一教会は自己啓発・運勢鑑定の装いの下に、統一教会独特の家族観を問題解決の方法として提示する。信者はこのようなイデオロギーを宗教実践において内面化し、最終的な救済財である祝福を目指す。信者が活動に熱心になればなるほど、現実の家族と教団が提示する「真の家庭」という理想の家族像に乖離、葛藤が生じる。教団はその克服を信者に促し、信者はそこに信仰の意義を見いだした。なお、本稿では世界基督教統一神霊協会の略称「統一教会」を用いる。
