血液透析患者では, 栄養障害が予後を悪化させるため, 栄養状態を評価して積極的に治療介入することが勧められている. Mini nutritional assessment short form (MNA-SF) による栄養障害スクリーニングの有用性を検討するために, 65歳以上の維持血液透析患者82人をMNA-SF, malnutrition-inflammation score (MIS), geriatric nutritional risk index (GNRI) で評価し, 2年後までの全死亡を前向きに調査した. MNA-SFのスコアはMISやGNRIと有意に相関し (ρ=−0.660, p<0.001, ρ=0.482, p<0.001), MNA-SF, MIS, GNRIにより, それぞれ55%, 59%, 35%が栄養リスク群に抽出された. 2年間で14人が死亡し, 栄養リスク群の相対危険度はそれぞれ10.7, 2.6, 4.6であり, MNA-SFとGNRIの栄養リスク群が有意 (p=0.002, p=0.004) に死亡と関連した. Receiver operating characteristic解析では, MNA-SFのスコア, MIS, GNRIのいずれも有意に死亡と関連したが, MNA-SFのarea under the curveが最大 (0.829, 95% confidence interval 0.723-0.935) であった. ロジスティック解析で, MNA-SFは食事量 (p=0.048) と神経・精神的問題 (p=0.005) が, MISは食事量 (p=0.033) と身体機能 (p=0.035) が有意に死亡と関連した. 高齢者向けに開発され, ベッドサイドで実施できるMNA-SFは, 高齢血液透析患者において, 予後と関連した栄養障害スクリーニング法であると考えられた.

An atmospheric low temperature plasma flow using a coaxial cable for microwave transmission has been applied to sterilize Escherichia coli to investigate the relationship between gas temperature and sterilization rates. The plasma source mainly consists of a cavity, a quartz discharge tube, a coaxial cable, a microwave power source and a gas supply system. The sterilization rate shows 100% in the center region of plasma exposure when the exposure temperature is 333K. The rate is decreased in the outer region of the plasma exposure. The gas temperature distribution shows the same tendency of the sterilization rate. This implies that the gas temperature is one of sterilization indicators.

近年、多くの使用済み家電製品が市中回収業者経由で回収されており、資源性の損失・散逸や不正輸出、輸出先での環境汚染等の問題を引き起こしている。リサイクルシステムには各ステークホルダーの多様かつ複雑な意思決定が含まれており、故に問題の解決に向けて施策を打つ場合には、それが各ステークホルダーの行動に及ぼす影響、及びその結果生じるシステム全体としての挙動の把握が必要不可欠である。そこで本研究ではマルチエージェントシミュレーションを用い、システムの複雑かつ多様なフローを再現した上で、各ステークホルダーの行動やシステム全体に対する施策の効果の定量的な検証を行った。結果として、家電エコポイント制度導入や消費者の環境意識の違いによる廃棄行動の変化について定量的に把握することができた。このようにステークホルダーの意思決定や製品のフローをモデル化し、定量的な分析を試みた点が本研究の最大の成果であると考える。

A new type of atmospheric low temperature plasma source was developed utilizing a coaxial cable for microwave transmission rather than conventionally used waveguides. The plasma source has advantages such as portability, simple configuration, and ability to operate with wide range of gases and its mixtures. It mainly consists of a cavity, a quartz discharge tube, a coaxial cable, a microwave power source and a gas supply system. Using this plasma source, we tried to clarify sterilization characteristics of Bacillus subtilis. The log reduction numbers of Bacillus subtilis was obtained at least 5 (10^<-5>) under the following operation conditions: gas flow rates of Ar (14 SLM) with mixing oxygen of 0.5 SLM and input power is 400 W. Distributions of temperature and gas velocity were also measured two-dimensionally by using E-type thermocouple and Pilot tube, respectively. The temperature distributions and the peak value of temperature were influenced by the gas flow rate and the kinds of mixing gas. The effective sterilization is obtained under the condition of the substrate surface temperature of 353 K.

Generally, cemented carbides (WC-Co) that consist of tungsten carbides and cobalt are used for cutting tools. But since cemented carbides are made of import dependent rare metal, reuse and recycling are required. If cylindrical shanks that the cutting edges are cut off can be combined, it is possible to reuse those shanks as new cutting tools. But in this case, the joining strength of brazing method tends to be rather weak for being used as cutting tools. Instead of the brazing method, the diffusion bonding will be expected with the high strength and the small deformation. Many studies on the diffusion bonding were reported, but there were few studies on the diffusion bonding of cemented carbides.In this study, a potential for applying the diffusion bonding of carbides was investigated. So the effect of the bonding condition on the bending strength, the microstructure of the bonding line and the distribution of tungsten and cobalt were examined. As a result, the strength of the diffusion bonding was higher than that of the brazing at higher than 1100°C, and at 1200°C, it was almost the same as the base metal's strength. Cemented carbides were successfully joined by the diffusion bonding.

卵巣摘出牛7頭に,エストラジオールおよびプロゲステロンを単独あるいは混合注射して,牛子宮におけるフラクトースとソルビトールの産生に及ぼす卵巣ホルモソの影響を調べ,次の結果を得た。<BR>1.卵巣摘出30日後には子宮内フラクトースおよびソルビトールは消失していた。<BR>2.エストラジオール2mgを8時間間隔で5回筋肉内注射した場合,48時間以内に発情が誘起されたが,フラクトースおよびソルビトールの生産は認められなかっな。<BR>3.プロゲステロン5mgを8時間間隔で5回子宮実質内注射した場合,子宮内でフラクトースおよびソルビトールが産生されたが,エストラジオール2&mu;gとプロゲステロン5mgを混合注射した場合には,両成分の産生がさらに促進され,両ホルモンによる協同作用が明らかに認められた。

1.はじめに 自律神経系(植物神経系または不随意神経系とも呼ばれる)は,生体にとって最も基本的な,循環,消化,代謝,分泌,体温,生殖等の諸機能を調節する重要な働きを荷っている。すなわち,自律神経系は,心臓とか腺などの器官系統,およびすべての器官の平滑筋を神経支配しており,生体の植物的機能を不随意的に統御して,ホメオスタシス(生体の恒常性)を維持している。これに対して,意識的,あるいは随意的に行われる多くの過程は体性神経系の支配を受けている。 自律神経系の中枢は脊髄と脳にあり,その信号は交感神経系と副交感神経系の遠心路を介して末梢の効果器に伝えられる(図1,左)。いずれの系においても,中枢から出たニューロンは効果器に至る間に自律神経節において最低一度ニューロンを換える。自律神経節には交感神経節あるいは副交感神経節のどちらかが知られているが,消化管においてはさらに壁内神経叢があり,そこでニューロンを換える例もある。一方,内臓からの情報は自律神経系の求心路を介して自律神経中枢に伝えられる。

【はじめに】<BR>日本福祉用具・生活支援用具協会による2002年度の福祉用具産業市場動向調査において、福祉車両の供給率は1993年度と比較して9.53倍と急増しており、福祉車両に対するニーズの高さを示している。しかし、ニーズは高いが、実際に触れる機会の少ない福祉車両について、宇城地域リハビリテーション広域支援センター(以下、支援センター)において、福祉車両展示会を企画・実施したので以下に報告する。<BR>【目的・開催に向けて】<BR>この会は支援センターとして初の試みであり、(1)福祉車両に実際に触れ、知識と情報を得る場とする(2)各参加者間の情報交換・交流の場とする等、今後も継続的に行う事を視野に入れた目的設定をした。<BR>目的を踏まえ、出展車両は市販車とし、第6回西日本国際福祉機器展にて4社に依頼し、3社が展示可能となった。出展車両は、基本的に各社の出展可能な物を依頼し、後方スロープ1台、リフトアップシート3台、リフト仕様2台、両上肢操作仕様2台の計8台の展示となった。<BR>【開催当日】<BR>会は3時間行い、各企業より1台5分程度の車両の説明を行った後、自由に見学・質問の時間とした。<BR>参加者は計98名(内訳は入院・外来患者、当法人在宅系サービス利用者やその家族、他事業所、当法人職員)であった。当法人職員以外の参加者には、外出の回数・車両を取り扱う上での問題点・展示会についての感想等のアンケートを依頼した。<BR>【アンケート結果】<BR>アンケート回収は26名(男性6名・女性20名)。結果として、自動車の使用頻度は、「毎日」11名・「1・2回」8名と比較的外出を頻回に行われる方が多かった。車両の取り扱いで困る点は、「乗車や下車時」9名・「車椅子の乗せ降ろし」5名と運転自体より、乗降の際の問題が多く見られた。展示会の感想は「大変良かった」6名・「良かった」13名・「普通」5名だった。<BR>【考察及びまとめ】<BR>会全体を通して、参加者の福祉車両への興味が非常に高い事が伺われた。高齢・障害者や介助者にとって外出は、日常生活の中で直面している問題の一つである。しかし、当地域は郡部であり公共の交通も不便なため、外出における選択肢も少ない。そのため、外出する際の問題は直接的に介助者へ掛かり、生活範囲の狭小化につながる。地域住民の生活の幅を広げるために、会を定期的に開催し、情報の提供・共有や問題の共有をしていく必要性があると思われる。<BR>車両そのものについては、企業により車種に偏りがあり、参加者の関心にばらつきが見られた。また、車両の特性が介助者へ着目したタイプが多く、自操車タイプを目的に来場した方より物足りないという意見も聞かれ、今後の課題としたい。<BR>今回の展示会を開催して、福祉車両へのニーズの高さ・外出に対する意識の高さを再認識した。今後も支援センターとして、地域住民のニーズを反映させながら、発展的な生活支援の場にしていければと考える。

PEG化技術はこれまでにさまざまな医薬品開発に用いられてきたが、その効果としては、1)薬剤の分子量が大きくなることで腎排出を抑制し、薬剤の体内動態を改善する、2)酵素による分解を防ぐ、3)不溶性化合物・タンパク質が可溶化する等があげられる。これまでに小分子薬剤・タンパク質・核酸・ナノ粒子等がPEG化され、そのうちのいくつかは医薬品として認可されている。

In 1979, a bronze tablet called "Tabula Contrebiensis" was found at Botorrita, 20 km south of Zaragoza, in the middle Ebro valley in Spain (Roman Hispania). There inscribed 20 lines of Latin text, including a dispute over irrigation among the indigenous people. It can be dated 87 B. C. Hispania had its first contact with Rome in 218 B. C., the date of the outbreak of the Second Punic War, and was conquered completely in 19 B. C. by Vipsanius Agrippa. In the course of Roman conquest, it has been assumed that a cultural change, referred to as "Romanization" or "Latinization", was carried out, and it really had profound effects on Hispania. In fact, now in Spain, we can see many traces of ancient Rome. And so, this inscription, at first glance, can be interpreted as signifying advances of uses of Roman law procedure or Latin language by indigenous people. On the other hand, however, when we examine the text taking account in detail several terms used in it, in the light of other contemporary Latin inscriptions and the conditions in which it was inscribed, we can identify clearly indigenous people in Hispania experiencing Roman Empire and not bound by such an interpretation. In this sense the author shows in this article that "Romanization" is not cultural change that took place only between militarily and culturally superior Rome and indigenous Spaniards. It's a more complicated phenomenon. This paper is the author's first step toward the work of inquiring into "experienced Rome" by contemporary people.

The poems written by Louis MacNeice in the 1930s often deal with social problems in contemporary England. It can be considered that a loss of individuality was one of the most serious concerns amongst them, with its relation to the rise of Communism. Although a considerable number of intellectuals including young poets and writers in England became communist, it is difficult to categorise MacNeice as belonging to the Left, as he expressed his suspicion about the sustainability of the trend and questioned the communists' idea of subsuming one's individuality in a group ideology. However, it is also true that MacNeice recognised that the individualist's escapism and epicureanism should no longer be possessed by poets. He suggests that individuals choose action with others. In relation to this, what is notable in MacNeice's poems is the various forms of "communication" between the speaker and others. He wrote several poems of a similar nature, in which the speaker mentions the personal experience shared with his lover after hinting of approaching danger. Analysing those poems, it can be seen that the speaker's verbal message for a particular person is aimed at soothing his anxiety about contemporary society. The poem-sequence Autumn Journal (1939) proves this tendency. Particularly notable are the sections in which the poet directly mentions the Munich Agreement – the biggest political upheaval in 1938 – and depicts how a person's private life and the public events were intermingled. It is revealed that the desire for the union with others was based on MacNeice's poetics rather than his political attitude. In his prose essays written in the period, he theorises that poetry itself is a form of "communication" with others, which means that the poet should be a mediator between information and readers. This concept defies the existing view of poetry as something isolated from society. Therefore, the aspects of "communication" in MacNeice's poems in the thirties can be said to reflect his attempt to integrate the poet into society as a whole.
