In the present paper we analyzed factors of the social background responsible for the rise and decline of dressmaking schools, which played a major role in the westernization of clothes in postwar Japan. Our analysis was based on statistical data arranged in chronological order, from which we obtained new knowledge and insight.   In connection with the rise of these schools, we clarified the influence of various factors on the dressmaking boom. These factors were: (a) the supply-demand structure such as the production volume of the textile industry and the household spending situation; (b) the popularization of fashion; and (c) various mass media.   In connection with the decline of dressmaking schools, we also clarified the influence of various factors on the boom convergence. These factors were: (a) the commercialization of synthetic fibers and automation of the manufacturing process; (b) the rise of the apparel industry by mass production and development of distribution sales channels; (c) the spread of ready-to-wear through marketing; and (d) the increase of students receiving higher education.

Le processus d'expertise preparatoire a l'amenagement de rivieres etait comparativement plus lent et plus decentralise dans la France du XVIII^e siecle que daps d'autres parties de l'Europe telle l'Angleterre ou l'Italie. Au milieu du siecle, ce manque de structure decisive au sein de l'administration permet a l'Academie royale des sciences de Paris de s'imposer progressivement sur ces questions, en jouant un role consultatif aupres du gouvernement sur differents projets de canaux. Cet article examinera deux de ces projets-celui du canal de Picardie et celui du canal de l'Yvette, jamais etudie pour lui-meme en histoire sociales des sciences. Tout d'abord, ces projets permettent d'observer une dynamique de concurrence entre les academiciens pour determiner la personne qui dirigera l'expertise. Ensuite, cette rivalite, qui s'explique par des milieux socio-professionnels d'origines differentes, bat son plein dans les annees 1770 notamment entre, d'une part, des personnes dotees d'un savoir-faire technique avere par leur arriere-plan institutionnel tel J.-R. Perronet du corps des Ponts et Chaussees et, d'autre part, des savants theoriciens tels D'Alembert et Condorcet. Chacun adopte une approche differente du probleme: une tentative mathematiquement plus elementaire mais plus pratique et qui permettra la decouverte de la formule de Chezy pour les techniciens, ou bien une combinaison entre analyse et experimentation hydraulique pour les mathematiciens. Mais au-dela d'une simple opposition binaire, on montrera comment le cas du projet du canal de l'Yvette correspond plutot a l'apparition d'une nouvelle division du travail entre les savants theoriciens et techniciens dans les annees 1780.

本研究では,無彩色の平面で表現された写真,絵画などの作品の印象や季節感を演出する要素として,作品を照らす展示照明の活用可能性を検討するため,照明の色温度と照射位置を要因として取り上げて,これらがモノクロ写真作品の印象と季節感に与える影響を評価実験によって確かめた.実験では,20枚のモノクロ写真作品を1枚ずつ無作為な順番で壁に展示した状態で実験参加者に呈示し,5枚ごとに作品を照らす展示照明の色温度と照射位置の組み合わせを変更したうえで,それぞれの作品に対して7段階SD 法による印象評価と5段階評定尺度法による季節感評価を求めた.その結果,展示照明の色温度や照射位置によって,作品の印象や季節感に有意な差が認められた.また,照射位置は季節感に直接的な影響を与え,色温度は明るさ感の印象を変化させることで間接的に季節感に影響を与えるという有意な因果関係が認められた.ただし,これらの影響は小さく,作品に対する評価や解釈をまったく異なる方向に変化させるようなものではないと考えられる.

2021年8月13日,小笠原諸島の海底火山「福徳岡ノ場」が噴火した.この噴火により発生した大量の軽石が2021年10月17日頃から沖縄本島北部を中心に漂着し,漁業,海運,観光業に著しい影響をもたらした.そこで2021年10月28日には沖縄本島北部,本部半島の北側に位置する屋我地漁港周辺を対象として急遽現地調査を行った.UAVにより漁港周辺での軽石の漂着状況の映像を取得するとともに,漁港周辺海岸での漂着軽石の現地調査を行った.北側から運ばれてきた軽石は,漁港防波堤により移動が阻止されたため漁港の北側に大量に堆積したことが分かった.

This paper is an attempt to study on the evoluting process and the spatial characteristics of the residential quater in Yagoto hills. They are commonly called "Higashiyama" and had been famous for the excursional point since the Edo era. But in the early part of the 20th century, they were turned into the treeless hills. Over against this situation, Tatsutarou Sasahara began to reforest since 1910's and developed as the the residential suburb during 1920-30's. This town was desighned with the gentle curved roads corresponding to the small lay of the land and affected by Ryotaro Kurotani's "Forest City".

Anterior cervical disc replacement (ACDR) using cervical artificial disc (CAD) has the advantage of maintaining the range of motion (ROM) at the surgical level, subsequently reducing the postoperative risk of adjacent disc disease. Following the approval for the clinical use in Japan, a post-marketing surveillance (PMS) study was conducted for two different types of CAD, namely, Mobi-C (metal-on-plastic design) and Prestige LP (metal-on-metal design). The objective of this prospective observational multicenter study was to analyze the first 2-year surgical results of the PMS study of 1-level ACDR in Japan. A total of 54 patients were registered (Mobi-C, n = 24, MC group; Prestige LP, n = 30, PLP group). Preoperative neurological assessment revealed radiculopathy in 31 patients (57.4%) and myelopathy in 15 patients (27.8%). Preoperative radiological assessment classified the disease category as disc herniation in 15 patients (27.8%), osteophyte in 6 patients (11.1%), and both in 33 patients (61.1%). The postoperative follow-up rates at 6 weeks, 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years after ACDR were 92.6%, 87.0%, 83.3%, and 79.6%, respectively. In both groups, patients' neurological condition improved significantly after surgery. Radiographic assessment revealed loss of mobility at the surgical level in 9.5% of patients in the MC group and in 9.1% of patients in the PLP group. No secondary surgeries at the initial surgical level and no serious adverse events were observed in either group. The present results suggest that 1-level ACDR is safe, although medium- to long-term follow-up is mandatory to further verify the validity of ACDR for Japanese patients.

The Global Assessment of Internet Trolling- Revised (GAIT-R) has been developed to assess internet trolling. We developed the Japanese version of GAIT-R (J-GAIT-R). First, the eight items of GAIT-R were translated into Japanese. Then, we conducted an online survey of Japanese people (N = 535). In Study 1, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses indicated that J-GAIT-R had a unidimensional structure. The internal consistency of J-GAIT-R was adequate. Moreover, partial correlation coefficients indicated adequate concurrent validity of the scale. In Study 2, we confirmed a good test-retest reliability for J-GAIT-R. It was concluded that J-GAIT-R was suitable for assessing internet trolling in Japan.

本論ではマイケル・パウエルとエメリック・プレスバーガーがコンビを組み「アーチャーズ」として製作したイギリス映画、『その信管を抜け!』(1949)の分析を行う。本作は「傷ついた男性性」を主題としており、その描写は同時代の他のイギリス映画と比較しても、他を圧倒するほど露骨に描かれている。そこで本論では、戦後映画という横断的な視点に『その信管を抜け!』を位置づける。そのうえで、『我等の生涯の最良の年』(1946)における第二次世界大戦後の傷ついた男性性の描写を「歴史的トラウマ」という概念から解き明かしたカジャ・シルヴァマンの考察から、作品に登場する特徴的な男性性を分析するために、映画においてとりわけ象徴的なウィスキーの瓶と爆弾のシークエンスを細かく確認し、それらがファルス的役割を持つことを明らかにした上で、本作における傷ついた男性性の特性を見出す。さらに、主人公をめぐる男性と女性の関係を、イヴ・K・セジウィックの「ホモソーシャルな欲望」を参照しながらテクスト分析することで、この作品が一見異性愛主義的なナラティヴを持ちながらも、実際は男性同士の強いつながりと、女性の徹底的な排除という特異なジェンダー構造を持つことを証明する。

北海道中川郡音威子府村から中川町を結ぶ全長 19.0 kmの一般国道 40号音威子府バイパスの建設が 2007年から始まっている。北海道大学中川研究林を通過する区間では、周辺地域のトドマツ及びミズナラ、シナノキ、オヒョウなどが生育する北方針広混交林生態系に対してより影響の少ない管理手法の開発が検討されている。 2010年より検討を開始し、翌年より施工手法や装置の開発、施工対象予定地での事前調査を行った。 2013年に試験施工を行い 2014年よりモニタリングを開始した。本研究では表土ブロック移植に注目して、 1)これまでより安価な表土ブロック移植の簡易工法の開発、 2)すき取り表土と比較して簡易表土ブロック工法が施工初期の草本層植生や土壌動物群集に与える影響、 3)それらの回復について 2014年と 2015年の 8月下旬に調査を行った。本工法では装置開発を最小限にして、一般的に用いられる建設機械を利用したことから、施工費が大幅に削減された。表土ブロック区では在来種の被度がより高かったが、すき取り土区では外来種の被度がより高かったため、植物全体の被度は処理間でそれ程大きな違いはなかった。ヒメジョオンのような 2年生草本の種数はすき取り土区でより多かったが、多年生草本と木本の種数は表土ブロック区でより多かったため、植物全体の種数は表土ブロック区でより多かった。さらに、移植元の植物相との類似度も表土ブロック区でより高くなった。一方、リター層も土壌層も土壌動物の個体数は表土ブロック区でより多く、種数も表土ブロック区でより高かった。リター層を除く土壌層のみ表土ブロック区において移植元の土壌動物相との類似度がより高くなった。本研究の結果から、開発した表土ブロック移植の簡易工法は植物と土壌動物に対して早期の回復効果を持つことが示された。
