We consider multiclass Markovian polling systems with feedback and analyze their average performance measures. Scheduling in polling systems has many applications in computer and communication systems. We utilize the framework that has been effectively used to analyze various composite scheduling algorithms in many types of multiclass queues systematically in conjunction with the functional computation method (Hirayama in Naval Research Logistics 50:719–741, 2003; Journal of the Operations Research Society of Japan 48:226–255, 2005; Advances in queueing theory and network applications, pp. 119–146, Springer, New York, 2009a; Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization 6:541–568, 2010).We define the conditional expected values of the performance measures such as the sojourn times as functions of the system state and find their expressions by solving some equations. Then from these expressions, we derive the average numbers of customers and the average sojourn times for all service stages of customers circulating the system. We consider their application to a packet scheduling problem where multiple categories of packets share a resource.

近年、インクルージョンという理念が障害者福祉の分野に浸透しつつある。しかしながら、インクルージョンは具体的などのような実践によって、達成できるのかについて、研究および紹介されたものは少ない。本稿では、インクルージョン実現に向けた「ちょこさぽ」の実践を紹介することにより、知的障害のある人たちが地域で生きるとは何かを考察したものである。「ちょこさぽ」の実践を重ねていくうちに、学生と知的障害者の間に自然な関係ができていった過程を紹介した。知的障害のある本人が参加を希望していても、 「ちょこさぽ」への参加の可否は親に委ねられていることを問題点として指摘した。その課題を解決するためには、知的障害のある子どもの将来の生活について、どのような悩みをもっているかということについて、支援していくべきであると結論づけた。そのような親をサポートするネットワークをつくることは、知的障害のある人たちが親亡き後も地域で生活していくことにつながると思われる。

Dynamics of ablation of fused silica by multiwavelength excitation process using F₂ and KrF excimer laser has been investigated by energy analyzed mass spectrometry of ablated species. The number of generated Si⁺ ion by multiwavelength excitation process corresponds to that by single-F₂ laser ablation and to approximately 2.1 times higher than that by single-KrF excimer laser ablation. In addition, kinetic energy distribution of Si⁺ ablated by multiwavelength excitation process shows almost same as that by single-F₂ laser ablation. We regard that absorption of KrF excimer laser by excited state generated by F₂ laser (excited-state absorption: ESA) causes effective photoionization, resulting in enhancement of Si⁺ with higher kinetic energy and then in high-quality ablation.

小学校や中学校における『学級崩壊』や『校内暴力』『いじめ』などの問題は,長年にわたり教育現場の課題となっている。 こうした子どもたちの『荒れ』を整え,より安定した心の状況を図るために,特別支援教育の知見をいかした実践を学校での教育活動に取り入れていくことは,学校運営の安定化を図るツールとして,非常に大きな力になる。即ち,特別支援教育の知見を通して,認知レベルまで『子ども理解』を深めることは,子どもたちの『困っているところ』をとらえるだけではなく,教師自身の『指導理解』を深め,より適切な指導や支援につながるからである。しかしながら,特別支援教育の知見を活用し,教師が長年続けてきた指導法を改善・改良していくことは決して容易ではない。なぜなら学校組織の問題教師の仕事上の特性に伴う心理上の問題など,『大人(教師)の側の問題』を克服していく必要があるからである。私自身が校長として赴任したM小学校での取り組みをもとに,まずは特別支援教育の知見の活用を阻む諸原因について明らかにした。
