Fair trade has been divided into two types; the partnership-type and the certification-type. The purpose of this article is to clarify the fundamental turning point between the two by means of an analysis of the “Certified Label Controversy.” This controversy has been understood as a conflict between “qualitative deepening” and “quantitative expansion,” but this interpretation cannot explain the core of the problem. This article, therefore, presents an alternative interpretation. Here, the point at issue is whether or not commercialism and social justice are compatible. This means that the controversy includes the argument over “the formation of orders.” In short, this watershed for fair trade arises from a difference of view on the relation between “being free” and “a regard for society.”

Using long-term behavioral data recorded between1950 and 2010, we studied cases of change in the alpha individual and its social background in a captive troop of Japanese macaques (Macaca fuscata) housed in Ueno Zoological Gardens, Tokyo, Japan. During this period, nine alpha males and four alpha females were recorded. Among the alpha males, three were juveniles. All alpha males except for one continued to keep their position until they died or were removed from the group. Alpha females, on the other hand, lost their position when they were in estrus/pregnant/nursing, after which time they continued to stay in the group. Unlike cases in free-ranging populations, captive male Japanese macaques are included in the social hierarchy of their natal group, and dominance relationship between males and females were unclear. Under such conditions, dominant females and their juveniles can become alpha individual when the former alpha disappears and/or there are no dominant male(s) present. Appearance of female/juvenile alpha individuals in the Ueno Zoo troop seems to be one of the bi-products of a captive environment and in order to keep social relationships of captive animals similar to those of free-ranging populations, artificial transfer (removal/introduction) of adult males should be considered.

本稿では大学進学率における都道府県間格差の要因構造を時点間の変容を考慮しながら明らかにする。そのことを通して,近年の都道府県間格差がどのようなメカニズムによって生じているのか,その特質を浮かび上がらせる。 そこで1976から2006年の4時点マクロデータに基づき,共分散構造分析の下位モデルである多母集団パス解析を行った。 結果,(1)1976年には「所得」と「職業」によって格差が生じていたものの,(2)1986年には「地方分散化政策」(供給側要因の格差是正)の効果もあり「所得」と「職業」の影響力が弱まった。だが(3)1996年に入ると,男子で「所得」の影響力が,女子で「大学収容率」の影響力が増し始め,さらに(4)2006年には,男女ともに「所得」と「大学収容率」が影響力を持ち始めただけでなく,男子のみではあるが「学歴」も大きな影響力を持っている。加えて,「大学収容率」を介した「所得」の間接効果ももっとも大きい。 以上から,こんにちの大学進学率の都道府県間格差のメカニズムには,社会経済的条件が持つ影響力の大きさ,供給側要因の「実質化」と「機能変容」,両者の「相乗効果」の増大という特徴があることが浮き彫りとなった。

In this study, we proposed three image analysis methods (wavelet transform, singular value decomposition, and Fourier transform) to evaluate drawings of the tree test quantitatively, and demonstrated the analyses to three images of the tree test drawn by schizophrenic patients. Wavelet analysis suggested that information about the position of drawn trees (direction, depth and width of drawn lines) can be captured. Fourier analysis suggested that information about the direction and depth of drawn lines can be captured. Singular value decomposition suggested that information about the position and direction of drawn lines can be captured. Further research is needed to consider the features of mathematical image analysis in detail, and apply them to analysis of the tree test.

本研究は,東京,高松,ウィーンを対象に,自動車および自転車の外部費用を比較している。外部費用として,走行時空間機会費用,駐車時空間機会費用,道路建設費用,道理維持管理費用,駐車場建設・維持管理費用,交通事故費用,大気汚染費用,地球温暖化費用,放置自転車対策費用を考慮した。費用の単位については1 人当たり・1 日当たりとした。分析の結果,どの都市においても自動車の外部費用は自転車のそれの5倍程度であること,東京では空間機会費用,高松では交通事故費用の割合が高いこと,自転車の外部費用は利用者の行動によって大きく削減できる余地があることが明らかとなった。

パソコンを中心にして、3DCGアニメーションが民生用途へ広がりをみせている。一方で、コンピュータ音楽の標準規格としてMIDIサウンドが定着しつつある。このような背景から、3DCGとMIDIとの融合が今後加速であろうと予想する。そこで、本書は3DCG通信カラオケをターゲットに、以下の項目について報告する。(1)MIDIサウンドと3DCGアニメーションとの同期方式:MDIと3DCGとの1拍単位の同期により、同期遅延を軽減する。(2)3DCG力ラオケコンテンツ制作環境:CGデータの部品化により、制作期間を短縮する。(3)3DCGカラオケコンテンツデータ配信方式:(2)を利用してデータ転送量を限定し、転送時間を短縮する。(4)弊社のM2システムでのプロトタイプ開発。By using Personal Computer(PC), applicable usage of 3DCG-animation has been large. On the other hand, MIDI-based sounds is formalized as standard of computer music. We expect that combining MIDI and 3DCG has been one of important topics. In this paper, we report the following issues; (1)CG-animation synchronized with MIDI-based sounds. By synchronization with MIDI-based shounds on each tempo, CG-animation can recover from AV inconsistency caused by dynamic change of tempo. (2)Authoring environments for 3DCG KARAOKE software contents. By making motions parts that is reusable for multiple contents, the average time of authoring for single 3DCG KARAOKE software content is reduced. (3)Delivery methodology for 3DCG software contents via networks. By using advantage of (2), the amount of transferred data via networks is restricted. As a result, transfer time is decreased. (4)Prototype development of "Server-Based KARAOKE Player" on M2 system produced by our company.

本稿は、東京都町田市の横浜線旧原町田駅周辺の中心市街地で、行われた市街地再開発事業等のケーススタデイを通じ、その再開発構想・計画及びその実施過程をあとづけ、これらを規定した諸条件を明らかにしようと試みたものである。特に、この事業を通じ実現された諸権利・諸利益の空間的再編成の意義を考察することにより、商業・業務及び公共スペースの空間的な構成の特徴点を明らかにする。また、事業権利者及び関係者の当該再開発事業に対する立場、果たした役割等を市長との関係を中心に再構成しこれを位置づけ、その分析・評価を試みる。これらにより、この再開発をめぐる政治過程を再構成しつつ、横浜線及び小田急線の両駅の統合、商業中核の形成及びタウンセンターの整備といった事業計画との関連において、市街地再開発の意義を考察し、町田市の繁栄の要因を解明したものである。In this paper, the authors describe the conception, planning and implementation of the urban redevelopment project, and specify the conditions that shaped these processes. The description involves case studies of this project and related ones in the central business district of Machida City. Machida, a thriving commercial district, is one of Tokyo's suburban cities(became a city in 1958), and has a population of about 360 thousand. This redevelopment project involved the moving of Haramachida Station (JR Yokohama Line) closer to Machida Station (Odakyu Line). The two stations were 650 meters apart, creating great inconvenience for people wishing to transfer from one line to the other. Shops around Haramachida Station strongly opposed the plan. This opposition developed into a major battle between local stores, politicians and big businesses wanting to establish department stores and other large commercial facilities. The authors place particular emphasis on clarifying the characteristics of the spatial arrangement of commercial and public spaces, by analyzing the meaning of spatial rearrangement of rights and interests created through the development projects. The authors also analyze and evaluate the positions and roles of titleholders and other interested parties by focusing on their relationship with the city mayor. To show clear reasons for the prosperity in Machida City, the authors attempt to describe the political process of the redevelopment, the meaning of urban redevelopment in relation to the redevelopment plans, the formation of ac ore commercial district, and the improvement of the town center.

The present paper focuses attention on an influence of Darwinism as seen in the discourse of Felix Holt, the Radical. True George Eliot's early and middle-period novels show signs of a vision of Natural History with its emphasis on scientific observation of the natural world. But as the impact of The Origin of Species (1859) sent a shock wave among the intellectual circle across Europe, she became growingly aware of its farreaching implications. Inevitably Eliot's novelistic discourse has become permeatedwith the evolutionary outlook and terminology. Felix Holt marks a turning point in thesense that it is structurally conceived by the method of experimental science, and isclothed in its phraseology. We see how the writer's moral and religious vision finds itselfsubtly reconciled with scientific world view.

この論文では、初級日本語の授業において教師と学習者がどのようなインターアクションを行っているのかを、教師の教授行動と学習者の反応、特に自発的行為としての学習者の発話に焦点を当てて明らかにする。インターアクションの分析の枠組みとしては、教師の教授行動の中の「質問の技術」「説明の技術」「学習者への指示の技術」の3つ、学習者の行動からは「教師の質問への反応」「学習者による自発的言語行動」の2つと、「それらに対する教師の対応(フィードバック)行動」の計6つのカテゴリーを取り上げる。この論文の目的は、教師側と学習者側の2方向の行動からクラス内のインターアクションの様相を把握することによって、より効率的で、複数の学習者間のインターアクションが活発に行われる授業を構築する方法を提案することである。

【背景・目的】内皮細胞は種々の増殖因子・サイトカインを産生・分泌することで, 血管機能を調節している。TGF-β1は,内皮細胞の増殖を抑制的に制御し,動脈硬化などの血管病変の進展に関与する。一方,メタロチオネイン(MT)は重金属の毒性軽減や細胞内の亜鉛代謝などに寄与する多機能な生体防御タンパク質であるが,細胞機能調節因子によるMTの誘導に関する報告は少ない。本研究では,TGF-β1による血管内皮細胞のMT遺伝子の転写誘導とそのメカニズムについて解析した。【方法】培養ウシ大動脈内皮細胞をTGF-β1で処理し,MTアイソフォーム(MT-1A,MT-1EおよびMT-2A)mRNAの発現をreal-time RT-PCR法により解析した。Smad2/3,ERK,p38 MAPKおよびJNKのリン酸化はWestern Blot法で検出した。siRNAはリポフェクション法により導入した。【結果・考察】血管内皮細胞において,TGF-β1の濃度および時間に依存してMT-1A/2A mRNAレベルが上昇したが,この上昇はTGF-β1中和抗体の同時処理により消失した。TGF-β受容体ALK1またはALK5 siRNAを導入した内皮細胞では,ALK5の発現抑制によりMT-1A/2A mRNAの発現の上昇が抑制された。ALK5下流のSmad2およびSmad3のsiRNAをそれぞれ導入したところ,Smad2 siRNAによりMT-1A/2A mRNAの発現上昇が抑制された。またnon-Smad経路としてMAPK経路を検討したところ,TGF-β1により全てのMAPKsが活性化したが,p38 MAPKおよびJNK阻害剤によりTGF-β1によるMT-1A mRNAの発現上昇のみが抑制された。以上の結果より,TGF-β1は内皮細胞のMT-1A/2A遺伝子を転写誘導すること,この誘導はALK5を介したSmad2シグナルの活性化に介在されること,およびp38 MAPKおよびJNKの活性化はMT-1Aの転写誘導を選択的に介在することが明らかになった。

&nbsp;This research focuses on the &ldquo;historical routes policy&rdquo; by the Cultural Affairs Agency in Japan. This paper aims to clarify 1) its philosophy, 2) the policy's influences on local areas and 3) this policy's difficulties.<br>&nbsp;The results are as follows;<br>&nbsp;1) The policy aims both conservation of the routes in the regional scale and walkable environment.<br>&nbsp;2) Not only the historical routes but also the heritage along the routes were listed and conserved.<br>&nbsp;3) Changes of the framework and the character of the historical routes made this policy difficult to succeed.
