粘膜防御機構は自然免疫の最前線であり,上皮細胞に加えて免疫系細胞などを含む複合的なシステムで構築されている。耳鼻咽喉科領域では扁桃・アデノイドに代表される粘膜関連リンパ装置は,その抗原捕捉機構を駆使して,免疫記憶の形成と特異的抗体産生機構に関与している。一方,上気道の最前線である鼻粘膜もまた抗原捕捉に伴う免疫反応を行っているとともに,ウイルス・細菌感染やアレルギー炎症の場としても重要である。われわれは,扁桃やアデノイド,そして鼻粘膜の上皮についての研究を行い,機械的バリアを含む自然免疫の新しい概念を提唱してきた。ここでは,われわれの研究より得られた知見をもとに,扁桃,鼻粘膜の基本的な免疫臓器としての機能解析と,それぞれの類似性・相違性,自然免疫・獲得免疫での位置づけについて言及する。

多発性硬化症(multiple sclerosis:MS)は,若年成人を侵す神経難病では最も多く,中枢神経髄鞘を標的とする自己免疫疾患と考えられているが,証明はできていない.近年,再発や新規病巣の出現を抑制できる疾患修飾薬が次々と開発され,日本でも4種類が臨床応用されるようになった.最初の疾患修飾薬であるインターフェロンベータ(interferon beta:IFNβ)は多面的な作用機序を有し,再発抑制は30%程度に過ぎなかった.しかし,最近では切れ味のよい分子標的薬が開発され,顕著に再発は抑えられるようになった.それでもなお,障害の慢性的な進行を抑制できると証明された疾患修飾薬は開発されておらず,大きな課題として残されている.

国際調査報道ジャーナリスト連合(ICIJ)は、パナマの法律事務所「モサック・フォンセカ」から流出した新情報の一部を公開した。今回のパナマ文書の最初の報道は2016年4月3日になされた。この文書はオフショア金融取引文書の機密文書で、アイスランドのグンロイグソン首相を含む多数の政治家周辺・著名人・企業幹部・スポーツ選手などが、タックスヘイブン(租税回避地)を利用していることがわかった。彼らは、アンフェアだか、法を犯しているわけではない。彼らにしてみれば、それを行使することは自由で、何のやましいことがあろうかと思っている。事実それを利用することは法律違反ではないのだか、税の源泉国である彼らの母国に納税すべきところを回避したモラルは問われるのではなかろうか。そして、いまも現実に多くの企業や富裕者がタックスヘイブンの有利さを享受している。これは世界的レベルで悪用されており、今回のパナマ文書はほんの氷山の一角と言えよう。問題は、世界の税秩序を規律するシステムが壊れており、現行の一国一法主義の税制では対応できなくなっていることだ。そこで、この投げかけられたパナマ文書の問題について考えることにする。

オリジナルコンテンツから次々と新しい派生コンテンツが制作されるN 次創作活動では,複数人のクリエータがコラボレーションをしてひとつのコンテンツを制作することが盛んに行われている.本稿では,動画共有サービスに投稿された,音楽に関するN 次創作動画を対象として,コラボレーションがもたらす効果について分析する.具体的には,以下の3 つの観点から分析を行う:(1)コラボレーションが動画の視聴のされ方に与える影響,(2)コラボレーションがクリエータのアクティビティに与える影響,(3)コラボレーション関係に基づくクリエータの特性.分析の結果,コラボレーションによって制作された動画は再生数がより多くなること,コラボレーション動画を制作したクリエータはより長い期間N 次創作活動を行うこと,コラボレーションをしたクリエータのペアの25%以上は複数回のコラボレーションをしており,コラボレーションには一定の継続性があることなどが明らかになった.

本研究は、大学生の観光ニーズを推定することを目的としている。実験として、大学生に対し、希望する旅行についての自由記述アンケートとライフスタイル調査を実施した上で、得られたデータを元に、テキストマイニング分析をおこなった。その結果、属性ごとで特徴的な語や対応分析から、女性は歴史好きな層を中心に世界遺産をゆっくり巡る旅行、男性は理系が一人旅、文系は個人ツアーを好むなど具体的な観光ニーズを推定することが出来た。The purpose of this research is to seek for needs of tourism among university students. We firstly conducted a free writing questionnaire and survey about the lifestyle of university students and then conducted text-mining analysis. From the analysis, we have discovered some interesting features that depended on personal attribution. For example, "Women, who love history, are fond of slow travels to see the world heritages," "Male science course students like to travel alone," and "Arts students choose personal tours" were some of the interesting inclinations obtained from the analysis.

This research examined gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer (GC/MS) measurements for nicotine and 4-ethenylpyridine, which are passive smoking markers of environmental tobacco smoke. Since the object ingredient was a polar compound, a comparison examination was performed using both a non-polar column (DB-5) and a mid-polar column (DB-17) for analysis. Of the two columns, as a result of comparing the peak shape, sensitivity, and linearity, it was found that DB-17 is suitable for measuring nicotine and 4-ethenylpyridine, which is a substitute compound of 3-ethenylpyridine. When the nicotine concentration determined by the GC/MS method was compared with that of the GC/FID method, which was the regulating method, the concentration as determined by the GC/MS method was about 30% lower than that of the GC/FID method. It was suggested that measurements by GC/FID include other organic components. When tobacco smoke (the gaseous and particle components of mainstream smoke and sidestream smoke) was measured using this GC/MS condition, nicotine was detected in all samples, except for the gaseous component of the mainstream smoke, and 3-ethenylpyridine was only detected in the gaseous component of sidestream smoke.

Environmental cleaning and disinfection plays an important role as a part of the standard precautions to prevent healthcare-associated infections, whereas hand hygiene is one of the most important strategies for breaking the chain of transmission. Cleaning and disinfection of high-touch areas in a health-care facility is emphasized. And wiping with an alcohol-saturated cloth which has features such as low corrosion and a wide range of antimicrobial activity is performed commonly for this purpose. Although alcohol provides immediate activity against enveloped viruses, its virucidal activity against certain non-enveloped viruses, including norovirus, is insufficient. We created a novel alcohol-based hand rub, MR06B7, which is safe for the skin, and is active against an extended spectrum of microorganisms including non-enveloped viruses. For environmental surface disinfection, a novel disinfectant MR13B15, which is based on MR06B7, has been developed. In vitro antimicrobial activity against a variety of pathogens, material compatibility, and simulated surface disinfection and decontamination efficacy of MR13B15 were investigated. According to the results, MR13B15 demonstrated potent bactericidal, fungicidal, mycobactericidal, and virucidal activity within a short contact time in addition to superior efficacy against non-enveloped viruses compared to ethanol for disinfection. Moreover, MR13B15 showed better material compatibility. Two simulation tests conducted for evaluating the disinfection and decontamination potency on environmental surfaces against feline calicivirus, a surrogate for norovirus, indicated that MR13B15 had superior efficacy for surface treatment compared to ethanol. These findings suggest that MR13B15, which satisfies most requirements of an environmental surface disinfectant, may contribute to accomplishing advanced standard precautions in preventing infections.

内田百間「サラサーテの盤」(一九四八)は、一見して日常的な世界によって構成されている。初期の小説群のように「夢」の非現実則に支配された荒唐無稽な印象をもたらさない。しかし同時に、死者と生者の境界線が絶えず引き直されるような危うさによって、その空間の遠近法は成立ぎりぎりの臨界にさらされている。本稿は、このテクストの構造を形成する核であり、かつそのような構造の不安定さを強いる<謎>としての「女」の位置を探るものである。特に、おふさ、きみ子につづいて、不思議な存在の異常性を放っている「奥様」という第三の「女」の意味を明らかにする。

A mass was found at the base of the dorsum linguae of a male 11-year-old Labrador retriever. The tumor comprised of ganglion cells and Schwannian cells with Verocay bodies. The ganglion cells were positive for neuron-specific enolase, S-100, nerve growth factor receptor, and beta III tubulin. The Schwannian cells were positive for neuron-specific enolase, S-100, nerve growth factor receptor, and glial fibrillary acidic protein. The lingual mass was diagnosed as a ganglioneuroma. To our knowledge, there has been no previous report of a lingual ganglioneuroma in a dog.

A case of radiation-induced cancer is presented. A 59-year-old woman underwent interstitial radiotherapy with radon seeds for the hemangioma of the hard palate 32 years ago. Although a complete response was achieved, the perforation of the hard palate occured 6 years ago because of the induced osteoradionecrosis. An ulcer and swelling in the hard palate was observed around the perforation. CT examination revealed extensive bony destruction of the maxillary sinus walls. Biopsy revealed mucoepidermoid carcinoma. More than 80% of radiation-induced cancer in the head and neck region are squamous cell carcinoma irrespective of the histology of the original lesions. This may be the first case reported of radiation-induced mucoepidermoid carcinoma in the head and neck region.

This article presents a story named Origin of highland barley’s seeds narrated in the Lhagang dialect of Minyag Rabgang Khams Tibetan with linguistic glossing, translation, and annotation. This story is not transmitted in the speech community of Lhagang Tibetan, but well known as one of the Tibetan traditional oral stories in Chinese, circulated as a part of books as well as online articles. The present version is artificially composed: after memorising several Chinese versions, the second author, native speaker of Lhagang Tibetan, narrated without referring to the Chinese text. Therefore, it is of an experimental nature as a linguistic material and we will examine how the narrative style has been influenced by the translation process other than a general analysis of a narrative.The analysis shows that:● this narrative version lacks a hearsay marker, probably because it is not orally transmitted;● aorist is a default TAM marker in the narrative; and,● irregular use of the ergative marker is attested.
