2015 年10 月にコウノトリの再導入を行った福井県越前市において,市民を対象にアンケート調査を2回実施した。アンケート票の自由回答欄に書かれたテキストには市民の生の声が現出していることを前提とし,それらを切片化した上で分類する作業を行った。その結果,賛否に関する記述は「賛成・支持」「反対・不支持」「無関心」という3つのカテゴリーに,また課題をめぐっては,「課題の指摘」「課題の認識」「課題の知識」「課題への態度」という4つのカテゴリーに,それぞれ類型化することができた。この方法によって,量的データでは把握することができない市民の再導入をめぐるさまざまな考えの分布が,量的分析との比較で差異があることが明らかになった。

2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災により,東北大学附属図書館において地震当日に職員や利用者がとった行動,施設や書架,蔵書等に受けた被害,その後のボランティアとの協働による復旧作業や図書館サービス再開の経過及び今後の復興に向けた取り組みについて,10か月が経過した時点での状況を報告する。

症例は40歳,男性.平成11年12月頃より, 37度台後半の発熱と感冒様症状が出現した.市販薬にて対処していたが,発熱と解熱を繰り返し,体重減少を認めたため,平成12年5月,近医受診.感染性心内膜炎および僧帽弁閉鎖不全症と診断され,保存的治療を行うも軽快せず. 8月10日弁置換術目的で当センター紹介入院となった.術前待機中の8月16日,突然の腹痛,意識消失,ショック状態となり,腹腔内出血による出血性ショック疑われ,緊急血管造影検査施行.脾動脈瘤とその破裂所見を認めたため,同日緊急開腹手術となった.開腹時,約2,000mlの血性腹水と3cm大の脾動脈瘤(破裂)を認め,動脈瘤とともに脾摘出術を行った.術後経過は良好であり,その後の全身状態の改善を待って,二期的に弁置換術を施行し,軽快退院した.感染性心内膜炎に合併した感染性単発性脾動脈瘤は極めて稀であり,現在まで3例の報告をみるのみである.

Background and objective: Plant-derived glucosylceramides (GlcCer) have been clinically reported to enhance skin barrier functions. GlcCer and ceramides (Cer) interact with immune-stimulating receptors on antigen-presenting cells, such as c-type lectin receptors and toll-like receptor 4. However, the clinical and immunological efficacies of orally ingested GlcCer remain unknown. Therefore, we herein conducted a clinical trial on the effects of rice-derived GlcCer (Oryza Ceramide®: OC) on cold symptoms, immune parameters, and SF-36 scores. Methods: OC (type PCD, 60 mg daily) containing 1.8 mg of GlcCer and 0.09 mg of Cer [t18:0/24:0] was used as the active sample. We enrolled 44 healthy Japanese individuals who are prone to catching colds and a low immune score. All subjects were randomly allocated to an active group (n = 22) or placebo group (n = 22). Capsules containing OC or the placebo were administered for 8 weeks. Cold symptom scores during the intervention were the primary outcome, while immune parameters and SF-36 scores measured after the 8-week intervention were the secondary outcomes. Results: Forty subjects completed the trial, and the per protocol set comprised 19 and 21 in the active and placebo groups, respectively. Regarding the primary outcome, cumulative days with cold symptoms, such as nasal congestion, throat irritation, a cough, headache, muscle pain, and diarrhea, was lower in the OC group. Among the secondary outcomes, physical functioning in SF-36 scores was improved in the OC group. Regarding immune parameters, a negative correlation was observed between changes in blood T-lymphocytes and cumulative days with cold symptoms. Laboratory tests revealed no abnormalities to suggest adverse effects of OC. Conclusions: OC consisting of GlcCer attenuated typical cold symptoms, such as nasal congestion, throat irritation, a cough, headache, muscle pain, and diarrhea, and improved physical conditions. Changes in T-lymphocytes may be one of the mechanisms by which OC ameliorates cold symptoms.

In this paper, the spurious modes and quality-factor (Q) values of the one-port dual-mode AlN lamb-wave resonators at 500-1000 MHz were studied by theoretical analysis and experimental verification. Through finite element analysis, we found that optimizing the width of the lateral reflection boundary at both ends of the resonator to reach the quarter wavelength (λ/4), which can improve its spectral purity and shift its resonant frequency. The designed resonators were micro-fabricated by using lithography processes on a 6-inch wafer. The measured results show that the spurious mode can be converted and dissipated, splitting into several longitudinal modes by optimizing the width of the lateral reflection boundary, which are consistent well with the theoretical analysis. Similarly, optimizing the interdigital transducer (IDT) width and number of IDT fingers can also suppress the resonator's spurious modes. In addition, it is found that there is no significant difference in the Qs value for the two modes of the dual-mode resonator with the narrow anchor and full anchor. The acoustic wave leaked from the anchor into the substrate produces a small displacement, and the energy is limited in the resonator. Compared to the resonator with Au IDTs, the resonator with Al IDTs can achieve a higher Q value due to its lower thermo-elastic damping loss. The measured results show the optimized dual-mode lamb-wave resonator can obtain Qs value of 2946.3 and 2881.4 at 730.6 MHz and 859.5 MHz, Qp values of 632.5 and 1407.6, effective electromechanical coupling coefficient (k2eff) of 0.73% and 0.11% respectively, and has excellent spectral purity simultaneously.

本研究の目的は、エクソーム解析にて原因を同定できなかった知的障害/発達遅滞患者における新しい疾患発症機序を明らかにすることで、患者管理や遺伝カウンセリングに貢献することである。網羅的遺伝学的解析において、様々な最先端のインフォマティクス解析や機械学習を導入したマルチオミクス解析を行い、膨大なバリアントのフィルタリングや解釈を行う。特に、病的なレトロトランスポゾン挿入やリピート配列伸長を含めたゲノム異常の網羅的検出に挑戦する。更に、RNA解析の検体として尿由来細胞を用いるという新しい取り組みにより、小児神経疾患の新たな遺伝子解析スキームの確立を目指す。

Lately the issue of child abuse is becoming a serious social problem. Child abuse is the complicated problem which is caused by many factors. It is likely to be considered a very contemporary problem. On the other hand, child abuse in prewar days is thought to be a labour problem and to be quite different from the modern one. Indeed, the labour problem of child was the center of child abuse in those days. But children were abused by their carers in the family, too. And it was the first time that the maltreatment of children in the family was recognized as child abuse. This paper deals with two points about child abuse in the prewar days. One is the reason why child abuse in the family existed at that time. The other is the background that the maltreatment of children in the family was recognizedas child abuse and social problem.

仙腸関節障害の多くは保存療法で解決するが,一部難治化した症例では仙腸関節固定術を要すことがある.低侵襲仙腸関節固定術のためのデバイスが開発されたことで,手術治療可能な腰臀部痛として仙腸関節障害が注目されるようになり,欧米を中心に手術件数が急増している.術後の成績を左右する因子として最も重要なのが,仙腸関節障害の確定診断である.本邦では日本仙腸関節研究会が診断アルゴリズムを提唱しており,最終的に仙腸関節ブロックで70%以上の疼痛軽快が得られれば確定診断に至る.低侵襲仙腸関節固定術として,iFUSEインプラントシステムⓇ(SI-BONE社,US)が欧米では最も多く使われ,多くの報告で成績が良好である.本邦で行われたパイロットスタディにおいて,手術の簡便さと低侵襲性が優れていることが確認できたが,側方アプローチによる骨盤内血管,神経損傷のリスク,高齢女性では仙骨側でのインプラントの緩みにより長期的な成績が不良となる可能性があることが分かった.インプラントが緩んだ際には,同じ側方アプローチでの低侵襲revision手術が困難であるため,慎重に手術の適応を選ぶべきであると考えられた.

日本産ミジントビムシ亜目1科2属2種およびマルトビムシ亜目6科(2亜科を含む) 19属63種1亜種について,同定に必要な形質について説明するとともに,検索図と形質識別表を示し,種類別の特徴を解説した。識別のための主な形質は体の色と模様,体形,特殊な体毛,小眼の数,触角の長さと各節の比率,触角第3,4節の分節数,雄の触角把握器,触角後毛の有無,雄の顔面毛,脛跗節の先の広がった粘毛の方向と,各肢の粘毛の数,脛跗節器官の有無とその形態,爪(外被,偽外被,側歯,内歯の有無)や保体(歯や毛の数)の形態,跳躍器茎節の毛の形質,端節の形態,雌の肛門節付属器,胴感毛の数と配置などである。

The term Genteel Tradition or Victorianism has been used widely and with various meanings. Genrally, however, it refers to that literature in America from about 1870 to the turn of the century which was molded by the 'polite' manners and rigorous taboos of refined society. In the literary world 'genteel' writers and critics, supported by william D. howells, tried to keep the tradition under the slogan 'Be concerned with more smiling aspects of life' and 'Never, never write anything you would be ashamed to read to women.' And they severely attacked L' Assommoir and other novels by Emile Zola, a founder of Naturalism for the reaso that his works were dirty in description and harmful to healthy youg men and women, When Stephen Crane, Frank Norris and Theodore Dreiser published Naturalistic novel at home, many 'genteel' critics openly attacked them. But their attacks were out of place, because they didn't have clear perception of the social change of that day, nor could they appreciate the real purpose of these young writers. It is certain that the Genteel Tradition waas followed by Naturalism as its antithesis. Therefore, as the former declined in its power at the beginning of 20th century, the latter gave place to muckrakig novels and disappeared. Neither the Genteel Tradition nor Naturalism enjoyed longevity but it is certain that they have left something essentiaal in contemporary literature.

This paper provides a new criterion to distinguish the genuine science from the pseudoscience. Morita (2008; 2009) discussed that there are two demarcation criteria between science and pseudo-science: experimental and theoretical. In this essay, I focus on the theoretical criterion. This criterion is an application of a new view of scientific explanation shown in Morita (2007; 2008 ch. 1). The point is that scientific explanation must unify the phenomena in question into common framework, and new elements which is added to model in order to deduce explicandum must be observable or be able to promote unification.
