Adaptive behaviors that living things show are thought to be generated from brain / body / environmental interactions. However, in order to understand this essence, it is necessary to pay attention to a minimalistic set of interactions of the brain, the body, and the environment, and to extract the underlying control structure there. Therefore, in this research, we propose a novel methodology to observe behavior by stepwise inhibiting (zombizing) the upper brain functions of living things.

To evaluate the effect of overfeeding on fatty acid distribution and metabolism, especially stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD-1) indices, 8 cats in the experimental and control groups (4 per group) were evaluated in this study. The experiments involved feeding the experimental group cats twice their daily energy requirement with a commercial diet for 4 weeks. The control group was fed the estimated daily energy requirement with the same diet. Body weight, feline body mass index, body condition score, several zoometry measurements, and plasma metabolites/hepatic injury markers were measured in all the cats before and after the experiment. In addition, the fatty acid profiles in the liver and subcutaneous adipose tissue were measured after the experiment. After 4 weeks of overfeeding, the experimental group demonstrated significant increases in hepatic C18:1, plasma triglyceride, and nonesterified fatty acid (NEFA) concentrations and in alanine aminotransferase activity. Furthermore, hepatic SCD-1 indices were positively correlated with body weight, feline body mass index, body condition score, and plasma NEFA concentration, although subcutaneous adipose tissue did not demonstrate any increase in SCD-1 indices in this study. The increase in hepatic SCD-1 indices might be enhanced by the inflow of plasma NEFA into the liver, and NEFA toxicity might stimulate C18:1 synthesis by SCD-1.

最も普遍的に存在するカビのひとつ,A. niger にマイコトキシンの産生性が発見され,食品工業上重要な役割を担う A. niger や沖縄で泡盛の醸造に伝統的に用いられてきた黒麹菌の安全性が問題視されている. また,A. niger とその近縁種である黒麹菌は形態的に類別することは困難であることから,ミトコンドリアチトクローム b DNA 遺伝子などを用いて分子遺伝学的に解析し,これらの菌を正確に分類するとともに,マイコトキシン産生性との関係を明らかにすることによって黒麹菌など実用株の安全性についての検証を行った.

Battery Energy Storage system (BESS) is prospective energy storage in Smart Grid and Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESS) composed of two different kinds of battery is also studied to achieve better performance and lower cost than single kind of BESS. The cost issue, however, has not been evaluated explicitly so far. On the other hand, BESS is studied and expected for ancillary service although HESS has not been applied to frequency control in power system. This paper focuses on HESS application to frequency control and its economic analysis. In this paper, the important battery characteristics in the application to power system are introduced and two kinds of HESS are evaluated in terms of their cost when they are applied to frequency control. In addition, the cost is analyzed for when HESS is used for Peak Shift as well as frequency control.

2019.3.16に本会全国大会において開催された,情報処理学会初等中等教育委員会主催の初めての「中高生ポスターセッション」には日本全体から37の発表があった.いままで中高生が参加することが稀であった全国大会の場においてたいへん新しいことである.そのうち優秀な発表8件を表彰した.これは,学問への誘い,さまざまな交流,研究・教育力の向上,学会のプレゼンスの向上など,多くの効果があった.今後は,運営の改善による効果の最大化と,若い世代の才能についての指導と環境の提供が期待される.

高専カンファレンスは,高専と高専生をテーマとした勉強会イベントなどの活動を行うコミュニティで,勉強会イベントとしては2008年に始まり2019年3月までに日本全国各地で通算118回開催している.毎回,20〜200人ほどが集まり,話者がスライドを使ったプレゼンベースでの発表をしており,発表の内容は,高専生らしいものづくりの話から,科学やキャリアに関する話など多岐に渡る.参加者,発表者は当初は高専生,OB,教職員を対象としてきたが,現在では高専とは直接関係がない方の参加,発表もある.またプレゼンテーション形式に拘らないスタイルも試みられている.本稿では,活動が始まってから11年近くが経過し,高専関者の活動の場の1つとして定着してきた,この高専カンファレンスについて解説する.

光による眼の傷害事例を紹介した.13 歳男子はレーザーポインターによる熱傷害により,中心暗点と網膜外層の形態異常を来したが,変化は可逆性であった.15 歳男子はLED による光化学傷害により,不可逆性の視力傷害と網膜萎縮を来した.33 歳男性は日食観察に伴う光化学傷害により,一過性の眼痛,違和感と網膜外層の軽微な異常を来した.

本研究では、ちんどん屋の街頭宣伝において、ちんどん屋と街の人々とのコミュニケーションに着目し調査を行った。調査ではちんどん屋を追跡調査し、街廻りの様子をビデオに記録した。ビデオを元に街廻りでの出来事を地図に描き、分析を行った。分析結果からちんどん屋と街の人々とのコミュニケーションを「ついてくる型」、「応答型」、「目を配る型」、「引き寄せ型」、「声かけ型」の5類型にまとめることができた。場所によって見られる類型やその出現数に違いがあり、ちんどん屋は場所の様子を読み取り、街頭宣伝を行っていることがわかった。

Several formulas to determine the magnitudes of earthquakes with shallow foci from amplitude and focal distance in the regional range up to about 1, 000km, were newly derived by using the data observed at the Abuyama Seismological Observatory and its array stations, and compared in the cases from displacement and velocity seismograms.The patterns of maximum amplitudes versus focal distances show that the manner of decay of the displacement amplitude is practically similar to that of velocity amplitude in the distance range up to 200km, but markedly different in the range over 200km, because the phase of the seismic wave corresponding to the maximum amplitude varies from the body wave to the surface wave at the focal distance around 200km and the long period surface wave is sharply cut off with the steep slope of the frequency response curve of the velocity seismograph.The amplitude-distance curves at the close distance range up to about 40km, however, are folded in the case of displacement amplitude. This phenomenon may arise from the effect of exitation of refracted or reflected, or both phases having longer periods, resulting in an increase of about 0.3 in the magnitude value. Taking no account of these slight folds, the decay of the maximum amplitude is supposed to be nearly uniform throughout the distance range concerned. Thus, the decay factor, including the geometrical spreading, is estimated as r-1.73, which is just the same as in the Tsuboi's (1954) formula.The periods corresponding to the maximum amplitude were found to increase according to the earthquake sizes alone, when the same type of phase was traced. On the basis of this finding, an attempt was made to infer the relation between the source factor of displacement spectral density and the magnitude.

画家パウル・クレー(1879-1940)は、その制作論の基礎に形態学的な「生成(Werden)」を掲げた。本研究はまず、その背景に世紀転換期の実験発生学の研究、とくに生物学者ハンス・ドリーシュの新生気論の活動を指摘した。つぎに、19世紀半ばから発展したドイツの生理心理学のエルンスト・ヴェーバーらの研究による体性感覚の「ハプティク(内触覚Haptik)」の様態を検証し、クレーの多種多様な作品も、こうした内触覚的な様態の反映にほかならないことを解明した。

数aから数haの紋羽病地の土壌消毒を安全かつ高能率に行うため,四輪トラクタ(23PS)に装着できる土壌消毒機を開発した.本機はトラクタ中央部右側に装備する噴射装置と三点リンクでけん引するサブソイラおよびちん圧装置の3部からなるもので,トラクタの後輪駆動で作動する噴霧装置から圧送されるクロールピクリンは,深さ40cmまで切開して進みサブソイラ背面から走行30cm毎に地中20cmと40cmの2段に噴射され,サブソイラで初期膨軟化された土壌は,ちん圧装置で圧密し,ガス飛散を防止する機構となっている.

高齢化が世界最高水準で進行する日本の都市では,高齢者が社会・生活保障 の対象となり,各種の対策によって彼らの社会的孤立や孤独死・孤立死のリス ク軽減が図られている。しかし,高齢者の抱える健康面の問題および高齢者へ の支援制度のあり方をおもな関心事とするこうした従来の視点がある一方で, 高齢者の地域社会への主体的参加のあり方も多方面で議論されている。退職や 子どもの他出を経た高齢者は役割縮小過程にあるが,その8割以上は健康な自 力生活者であり,自らの意志で地域社会に多様なかたちで参加して新たな役割 を得,生きがい増進を図ることができるからである。 本稿では地域性と共同性に着目する社会学の伝統的コミュニティ論の立場か ら,札幌市での高齢者の地域社会参加の現状と課題を考察する。同市をはじめ とする都市では,従来の地域社会参加経路としての自治会の機能は減退傾向に あり,それを補完・代替する新たな社会参加経路が求められている。検討する 札幌市の2事例では,高齢者が自己充足や対価の獲得ではなく多世代交流こそ を目的として自ら培った経験・知識を主体的に活用する活動を創始し,それが 地域社会のコミュニティ形成過程で有効に機能している。本研究はこれを高齢 者主体の「交流型義捐的社会参加」によるコミュニティ・モデルとしてその特 徴と課題を考察し,高齢者の地域社会での生きがいづくり研究の流れに位置付 けたい。
