Some of "Nagaya", the Japanese traditional townhouses, have survivied over a century, by undergoing several renovations. But the way of renovation is very temporary and gradual. Why the Nagaya survived in spite of the weak way of renovation? The purpose of this study is to find a reason of their long surviving with their weak renovational technologies.

2010年度においては研究計画通り、論文執筆・出版に向けての書籍執筆や修正を中心に活動し、『A Sociology of Japanese Youth : From Returnees to NEETs』共著書籍の出版が決定(2011年夏)、『Getthing Japanese Youth Back to Work : Negotiating Policy in a Post-Industrial Society』をRoutledgeと出版契約を結ぶことができた(2011年末)。研究論文については、『Social Politics』ゲンダーと福祉政策の分野で著名な雑誌に投稿。また、同じく家族政策やワークライフバランスをテーマにIs There Life after Work for Japan? 従来型およびダストフリータイプアルジネート印象材23種類の空気中, 100%湿度中および水中の寸法変化を, 無荷重直接法で測定した.その結果, 100%湿度中では, 材料固有の硬化反応の進行に伴うsyneresisによる収縮が認められ, その傾向と収縮量は, 製品によって異った.水中におけるimbibitionに由来する膨張は, syneresisの影響を強く受けた.ダストフリー化の寸法安定性に及ぼす影響は, 処理剤の添加よりも充填材の変更のほうが大きく表れた.

本研究では,臨床心理士や社会福祉士,臨床発達心理士,教師の資格を有し,総合病院や発達障害児者対象の相談機関,児童養護施設,特別支援学校で働いている5名の対人援助職者を対象に,クライエントの「家族」をどう考えているのか,家族と接する上でどのようなことに配慮しているのかといった,家族の視点について,主に質的分析により明らかにすることを目的とした。クライエントの家族に対する対人援助職者の視点として,以下の5点が見出された。①家族への情報等の伝え方に対する配慮~家族に分かってもらえたと思ってもらえるような伝え方,②家族への直接的な働きかけだけではなく,家族が主体的に考えたり活動したりできるための関わりの工夫,③クライエントが自分の家族をどう捉えているのかということを深く考えること。クライエントの家族を捉える視点に思いめぐらすこと,④家族を支援することが目的なのではなく,クライエントの最善の利益のために,クライエントの家族について関わっていくという視点,⑤家族の「今」だけではなく,家族の「その後」の生活や人生を見据えた上での関わり。左記の結果より,対人援助職者の職種や領域が異なっても,家族への視点として重要な点は変わらないということを考察した。なお,質的分析のあり方についても,若干の考察を行った。得られたインタビューデータは,インタビュー対象者(語り手)とインタビュアー(聴き手)との相互作用によって生じたものであり,本論では,インタビュアーの要因について考えていくことの重要性を指摘した。

Competence of professionals in personal services was investigated. There have beenmany investigations of theories and techniques in the fields of clinical psychology and socialwelfare. However, only a few studies have been conducted on variables related to the"professionals"that actually use these theories and techniques. Findings of studies onvariables related to professionals in clinical psychology were reviewed and the competenceof professional in human services was defined. It is concluded that competence isdependent not only a person's nature, but also on the process of improving that natureand talents through the process of living.

Palliative care is specialized health care for dying people which aims to maximize thequality of life and assist families and carers during and after the death. For the last decade,music therapy (MT) has been adopted as one of the holistic therapies in a palliative caresetting.The first author of the present study had practiced bedside MT for a total of 39patients in a palliative care ward of a private hospital for ten months. Most of themreported a decrease of physical pain by the intervention of MT. As the the sessions wererepeated, some became increasingly active so that they could request more songs or sing bythemselves. The others reported that MT caused a healing effect and facilitated emotionalexpression. We discussed the role of music therapist in palliative care through fourimpressive patients at the end of life.First of all, music therapists should have some medical knowledge about psychologicalor physical conditions in patients facing the end of life. Moreover, they should promotetheir performance skills of an instrument in order to effectively assist patients withdifferent needs, as well as communication skills to establish favourable relationships withpatients, their family or co-medical staff.

本論では高齢者の音楽療法に関する文献の中から、音楽が専門でない介護職の方や家庭で高齢者を介護されている方等、広く高齢者介護に携わる方々に向けて書かれた実践書をもとに、その内容と方法を分析することを通して、高齢者の音楽療法の実践について基本的な理解を図ることを目的とした。季節ごとの特徴を踏まえた12か月分のプログラムをもとに、「各月のテーマ例」「曲目の傾向」「回想を促す話題」「活動内容(種別、効果、活動例、留意点等)」「実践者に求められること」という視点から考察を進め、介護福祉士をはじめとする身近な介護者が高齢者の音楽活動を支援していくための方法の開拓に向けて、有用な示唆を得ることができた。

The palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction between different types of organoboron compounds and various organic halides or triflates in the presence of base provides a powerful and general methodology for the formation of carbon–carbon bonds. The Csp2–B compounds (such as aryl- and 1-alkenylboron derivatives) and Csp3–B compounds (alkylboron compounds) readily cross-couple with organic electrophiles to give coupled products selectively in high yields. Recently, the Csp–B compounds (1-alkynylboron derivatives) have been also observed to react with organic electrophiles to produce expected cross-coupled products. The overview of some of such coupling reactions is discussed here in this article.

The human life-span is increasing worldwide. During the 1970s, senior citizens comprised 7.1% of the population in Japan, and by 1994, they constituted 14% of the population. Life expectancy has risen to 79.19 years for men and 85.99 years for women. This extended lifespan of seniors brings with it an increased need for improvement in quality of life. One intervention that can be used to meet this need is long-term music therapy. The combination of singing and listening to "familiar music"or"reminiscent music"while utilizing social activity was explored in the context of an evidence- based medicine framework. A deep understanding of the elderly is important in order to determine the effects of the music therapy and their relationship with the life history of the patient.

福祉関係者の立場から言及すると,バイオメカニズム教育に重要な視点は,生活, QOL (Quality of Life),バリアフリー,支援技術,ユニバーサルデザイン,ノーマライゼーション(normalization)についての理解と実践であると考える.具体例として,重度障害児に対するシーティングシステムはバイオメカニズムと生活支援技術を駆使することによって成り立っている.シーティングの理論と技術は,固定的な姿勢保持からダイナミックで柔軟な姿勢保持へと発展してきた.シーティングに限らず,福祉や医療の領域ではまだ十分に研究されていないテーマが多く存在しているが,実際には歩行分析や動作解析などの分野に限局されている.結論として,バイオメカニズムを福祉の領域で活かすためには,福祉関係者と当事者である障害者,高齢者の現状を知ることと同時に,専門の研究分野からどのようなアプローチが可能かを検討し,実際の現場で応用できるような成果を導き出すことであろう.

車イス使用高齢者のシーティングについて, (1)「高齢者一軍イス」の関係を探るために, 車イス座面の変更が高齢者の座圧分布に与える影響を把握するとともに, (2)「車イス使用高齢者一生活環境」の関係を捉えるために, シーティングの改善が生活展開に与える影響を時系列的に探り, (3)高齢者が使用する車イスのあり方について若干の考察を加えた.以下にその内容を要約する.(1)車イス座面のスリングシートから固定シートへの変更と車イスの調整により, 座圧分布の改善がみられた事例がある一方で, 改善がみられない事例もあり, 1種類の座面による対応の限界が示された.(2)シーティングの改善による車イス環境の変化が, 生活展開にも影響を与えている傾向がみられた.(3)高齢者が使用する車イスは, モジュラー型車イス等の個別対応可能な車イスが必要である.また, シーティングの改善に際しては, 「高齢者一車イスー生活環境」に関連する現状での馴染みへの配慮も必要である.

心理臨床家にとって、自分自身の心理過程を検討することはクライエントを理解することと同様に極めて重要である。「セラピスト・フォーカシング」はセラピストがある事例を担当するうえでの自分自身のフェルトセンスに触れることによって、体験過程の推進が生じるのを促す方法である。本研究は、セラピスト・フォーカシングの1 セッションを提示し、初心心理臨床家にとってのセラピスト・フォーカシングの意義について、セラピストは「何を」「どのように」してその過程で体験していくかを考察し、その上でセラピスト・フォーカシングとスーパービジョンの組み合わせについて検討した。その結果、セラピスト・フォーカシングがフォーカサーとガイドとの2 者関係の相互作用によって事例の理解を促すという点と、セラピスト・フォーカシングによりセラピストが体験過程に触れることにより、スーパービジョンに主体的に望むことができるという点が示唆された。
