来る2009年6月12日、 "腰痛症に対する鍼灸治療効果のエビデンスの現状"と題して、 埼玉で第2回JSAM鍼灸国際シンポジウムが開催される。 このシンポジウムのテーマの背景と、 議論になると予想されるポイントについて概説する。 シンポジウムでは、 (1)腰痛に対するRCTの現状、 (2)日中韓におけるデータベースに基づいた腰痛治療法の紹介、 (3)Sham鍼、 という3つのセッションが設けられている。 EBMの枠組みの中で鍼灸の腰痛に対する有効性を検討する場合、 次のような議論が予想される。 1) 偽鍼の治療的効果:プラセボ効果は区別できるのか? 2) 偽鍼によるマスキング:ダブルブラインドは可能か? 3) 具体的な治療テクニック:鍼灸施術の優劣に影響する因子は何か? 招待発表者の多くは、 RCTや偽鍼開発で世界のトップジャーナルに鍼の論文を掲載している。 今回のシンポジウムで、 EBMの時代における他の医療職種との連携や医療政策への反映など、 今後の鍼灸の発展ために取り組むべき課題がより明確になることを望んでいる。

横顔を含む被検査画像中の顔をテンプレートマッチングにより検出する手法の検討を行う.顔部品を含むセグメントに分かれた顔テンプレートを作成し,これと被検査画像双方に対して二次元Harr-like変換の特徴抽出を行い,相関強度と顔検出率および検出正誤率との関係を評価する.顔テンプレート集合は,正面向き左右45°左右90°の5方向を作成する.テンプレート枚数を減らし処理時間を短縮するため,テンプレート集合のグルーピングを行い,各グループ代表を選ぶことで元の約1/4のコンパクト集合を生成する.これを使って各方向単独の検出特性と,5方向を統合したテンプレートによる検出特性と顔の向きの識別特性を測定する.各方向単独の検出特性では,正面向き,左右45°に関しては適切な閾値を設定すれば比較的高い顔検出率と低い誤検出率が実現できるが,左右90°ではこの特性が劣っている.また,顔の向きの識別に関しては,1〜数%の誤り率の範囲で識別可能である.処理時間の更なる短縮や総合的な顔検出系の性能についても議論する.

本研究は、1994年の経済政策によって規制が緩和され、増加したビール・発泡酒のマイクロブルワリー(以下、MB)に着目し、MBが地域とどのように、どのような繫がりを構築しているかについて明らかにすることを目的とする。アンケート調査より、マイクロブルワリーは製造工程、提供工程、さらには提供空間で多様な地域との繫がりを構築していることが明らかになった。さらにヒアリング調査より、MBと地域の繋がりはMBが自ら繋がりを構築するものと、地域内の主体からの依頼によって構築されるものがあり、地域産品の活用や観光客誘致、住民のコミュニティ創出など多様な役割を果たす可能性を有していることが示唆された。

動物の社会構造解明のためには,個体識別を行い,個体間の相互作用を観察することが必要である.しかし,背びれも体色パターンもない野生下のスナメリでそれを行うことは困難である.そこで,飼育個体を対象に行動観察を行い,個体間関係とその頑強性を明らかにすることを目的とした.鳥羽水族館と南知多ビーチランドで飼育されているオス5個体,メス6個体を対象に,個体同士の社会行動を目視とビデオ録画により,計54日間,437時間観察・記録した.観察された社会行動のうち,背擦り行動についてバウト構造が認められたため,バウト分析を行い,2分以内の背擦り行動を同一バウトとした.水槽内の同居個体の構成が変化することを社会的撹乱とし,撹乱の有無や前後で個体間関係の変化を比較したところ,撹乱がない時に社会行動を行った8ペアのうち3ペアは,長期的に安定した親和的な関係性を示し,この関係性と性別や年齢などの組み合わせには明確な関連はみられなかった.また,これら3ペアには,撹乱の前後で関係性が変化しなかったペア,いったん敵対的に変化しても撹乱翌日には元の関係性に戻ったペアがいた.以上の結果から,飼育下のスナメリには社会的撹乱に対して頑強な,安定した個体間関係を持つペアが存在する可能性が示唆された.

This study reports a case of a paraplegic stroke patient who had difficulty walking with an ankle–foot orthosis, but was able to walk independently with a short knee–ankle–foot orthosis (semi-KAFO). A 34-year-old man presented with right hemiplegia due to left putaminal hemorrhage. At 143 days after the stroke onset, he could not obtain sufficient support for the paralyzed leg and required assistance during his walk with an ankle–foot orthosis because the knee joint of the paralyzed side was always flexed due to knee flexor hypertonia. Conversely, he was able to walk with a semi-KAFO under observation. He practiced putting on and taking off the semi-KAFO, standing, sitting, walking, and toileting with a semi-KAFO for three weeks. At 164 days after stroke onset, he was able to walk and toilet independently with a semi-KAFO. This study’s results indicate that a semi-KAFO is useful as a daily living orthosis for hemiplegic stroke patients who have difficulty walking with an ankle–foot orthosis due to increased knee joint flexor muscle tone.

This study examined the relationship of the human resources in the STEM field that were nurtured through school education with an analysis of the current state of the labor force in the STEM field in order to investigate the ideal way of STEM education in Japan. The results showed that the Japanese STEM human resources analyzed through a comparison with the United States accounted for about 6% of the labor force, which was about the same as that of the United States. In addition, the characteristics of the engineers included in Japan’s main STEM human resources showed that the number of information processing/communication engineers and medical engineers increased in recent years. Engineers who specialized in the humanities and science fields have also become important in addition to the human resources development of conventional engineering. Regarding STEM human resources in Japan from the viewpoint of human resource development, it was found that the development of engineers in specialized fields other than that of conventional engineering was added in an overlapping manner.

「国際社会」(international community)という概念は国際関係を理解する上で極めて重要な概念でありながらも、既存研究においては同概念についての歴史的・動態的な分析は極めて不十分であった。すなわち、「国際社会」概念が外交当事者からどのように用いられてきたのかという分析は、全くと言ってよいほど為されてこなかった。それに対し、本研究では計算社会科学の先端的な手法を取り込み、条約のテキスト分析という新しい方法を用いることで、「国際社会」概念に対して、①動態的分析、②実証的分析という二点を実現することで根本的に画期的な貢献を試みる。

要旨: 近年, 国民の難聴対策の必要性の増加に伴い, 政府や関連学会より言語聴覚士の活用や雇用の促進が訴えられている。今後は言語聴覚士 (以下 ST) の聴覚医療における貢献や活躍が期待されている。今回, 補聴器外来を医師1名から医師と ST の協力体制に移行する前後を比較し, 患者, 医師, 医療機関にどのような影響を与えたかについて検討した。補聴器購入後の補聴器全体の満足度は医師 1 名体制で平均82点, 医師と ST の協力体制で平均80点と同等の結果で, 高い患者満足度を維持することができた。1週間の最大患者枠数は14人から54人に増えた。1年間の補聴器適合検査数は1回目が2.2倍, 2回目以降が3.2倍に増加した。医師と ST の協力体制に移行しても満足度が維持できたことから, ST の積極的な参加は, 補聴器医療の需要に対応していく上で有効な選択肢で, 今後, より一層の ST の補聴器医療への関与が期待される。

本研究では,学習方法や学習形態を選択しながら学習している様子をイメージすることができるマルチアングル授業映像を,日常的に1人1台の情報端末を活用し学習の個性化に取り組もうとしている児童が視聴した際に,「学習の個性化」をイメージすることが可能であるかを,質問紙調査で評価を行い検討した.その結果,26名中23名の児童が「学習の個性化」をイメージできたと回答した.具体的には,自由記述で31件と最も多くみられた「学習方法」に関する気づきから,児童の情報収集の方法の違いなどをマルチアングルで確認することで,「学習の個性化」をイメージできた可能性が考えられた.

In this study, the agricultural utilization of coffee grounds was examined. The results were as follows. 1. The application of coffee grounds in soils inhibited the seedling growth of Chinese mustard. From experiments on nitrogen and toxic substance alleviation, it was suggested that this inhibition is rcsultant of nitrogen starvation and the existence of toxic substances. However, in the summer, when 2.5kg m^<-2> of coffee grounds was applied together with nitrogen fertilizer at 15 to 20g m<-2>, the coffee grounds didn't inhibit the seedling growth of Chinese mustaard with a maturing period of more than one month. 2. When more than 10 kg m<-20> of coffee grounds was applied into soil, the aggregated structure of soil was developed.

The aim of this study is to clear the aspects of spacial images by studying the relation between visual axis, emotional states of hero and spacial images that are affected by them in Kobo ABE's works. We selected the works on the subject of visual axis from his works this time. In our investigation of the relations between visual axis, emotional states of hero and spacial images, we found that spacial image of the hero were affected not only by visual axis and emotional states of hero but also by character which are gainsaid by the position of day-to-dayness in his story. Furthermore, Kobo ABE expresses suspicions to day-to-dayness and the aspiration for character which are gainsaid by the position of day-to-dayness in his story.

A 4-year-old girl, who showed velopharyngeal (VP) incompetence associated with bilateral striatal necrosis, received speech therapy with a palatal lift prosthesis (PLP). CDVP function was improved three months after insertion of the PLP, normal articulation and an increase in speech intelligibility were obtained. RImproved velopharyngeal efficiency was maintained, and the PLP was removed two years and five months later. RAfter practice at setting the normal tongue position at rest to improve oral dysfunctions of speech, chewing, swallowing, and tongue movement, she recognized that she was able to close her lips and produce normal speech.

中谷宇吉郎先生は雪氷学の世界的な研究者である.天然雪の結晶の分類,人工雪の作成,種々の結晶形の生成条件など世界に先駆けた独創的な研究は,戦後発展した雲物理学,人工降雨,結晶成長などの基礎となった.中谷ダイヤグラムは現在も世界の科学者が結晶成長,形の物理の立場から研究されている.先生は更に積雪,凍土,着氷雪,霧など,寒冷地における自然現象と人間との関わり合いを総合的に研究する新分野「低温科学」を創始された.これは「雪氷寒冷圏の環境研究」の先駆けとなった.先生は実用研究も重視され,雪氷災害の軽減防除,水資源の調査などを広汎に行なった.戦後,先生はアメリカに招かれ,雪氷永久凍土研究所(SIPRE)の創設の指導をされる傍ら,念願の雪氷三部作(雪,積雪,氷)の完結を目指し,グリーンランドを舞台にして積雪の氷化過程,深層氷の物理研究を開始された.その途上,病に倒れられ,未完に終ったのは残念至極である.先生は寺田寅彦を師と仰ぎつつ,講演,文筆を通じて科学を一般に普及した.誰にも分かり易く面白く,かつ哲学や教訓も含む中谷独自の世界を展開した多数の随筆は,今も広く愛読されている.先生は今なお生きておられるのである.

On October 13, 1894 the ballet "Rund um Wien" by Josef Bayer was performed in the Vienna Court Opera in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the musician life of Johann Strauss junior. After that, this work continued being performed at the Vienna Court Opera over 64 times till 1906. But the ballet may have been revised after the premiere, because of the vulnerability of the story. In fact, the Austrian National Library posesses the three handwriting scores of the ballet. By solving the genealogy of sources, the author got the proofs that the ballet was revised after the premiere. It is concluded that "Rund um Wien" was revised several times. By revisions, the whole work became shorter and the scene where Strauss's motifs were quoted was especially reduced 30 percent.
