道路網の整備による自動車交通へのシフトや人口減少を背景とした利用者数の減少等により,鉄道路線の廃止が地方を中心に継続して生じている。現存する鉄道路線においても,鉄道事業者から廃止を提案されている事例が存在するなど,この先,維持が困難となる鉄道路線の数は増えていくものと考えられる。こうした鉄道廃止の提案に対し,「鉄道が無くなると街が寂れる」という意見が挙げられることもあるが,この考えを否定する意見もまた存在する。 本研究は,鉄道路線の廃止が鉄道沿線自治体の人口と所得水準に及ぼす影響を,パネルデータ解析のための回帰分析を用いて明らかにした。鉄道沿線自治体の廃線以前の状況を考慮する統計モデルを使用した分析の結果,先行研究で指摘されている鉄道の廃止が起こった地域で観察される高い人口減少率は,廃線以前からの状況を反映しているものであり鉄道の廃止によって引き起こされたものとは判断し難いことが示唆された。また,鉄道の廃止が所得変化率に及ぼす影響についても,廃止路線沿線と現存路線沿線の自治体間で統計学的に有意な違いは認められなかった。

本研究は,STEM/STEAM 統合の本質である構成概念のシステムをもとに,統合的なSTEM/STEAM 教育の各類型についてレビューし,それぞれの類型において成される研究と,その課題を検討した.歴史的に示された類型に加えて,統合がどこで起こるのかに焦点を当てた研究を基に,ディシプリンを中心に考えるDisciplined Approach と,学習者のあらわれ(Appearances)を中心に考えるCreative Approach を提示した.

The aim of this study was to clarify the grip strength and progress of development in infants aged 0 to 2 years old. The subjects were 396 infants and we measured their grip strength with grip dynamometer (T. K. K. 1269r) for the infants. Date on 313 subjects out of the 396 were analyzed. The average of grip strength was followed:0 to 5 months was 0.81 kg, 6 to 11 months was 1.05 kg, 12 to 17 months was 1.45 kg, 18 to 23 months was 1.72 kg, 24 to 29 months was 2.31 kg and 30 to 35 months was 3.00 kg. Significant difference between boys and girls were not shown. The relationships between grip strength and age was the most significant, then height and weight next to age. Grip strength increased with age, as a result, we were able to draw the growth diagrams for grip development in infants aged 0 to 2 years old.

Obesity is a condition resulting from excess body fat, and is associated with several risk factors for chronic diseases in later life. Hence, the prevention of obesity is a public health priority, with much of the concern focusing on childhood and adolescence. Recently, body mass index, calculated as weight divided by height squared (BMI, kg/m2), has been widely used as a surrogate measure of adiposity for children and adolescents, and international age- and sex-specific cut-off points to define overweight and obesity have been proposed. Various surveys using the international BMI criteria have revealed that the prevalence of child obesity is accelerating throughout the developed world. However, BMI is a measure of excess weight relative to height, rather than excess body fat. The interpretation of BMI among children and adolescents is further complicated by the changes that occur in weight, height, and body composition during growth. There is a now a considerable body of evidence that during the growth stages, weight increase is frequently due to an increase in fat-free mass rather than fat mass. Therefore, application of the BMI norm to define overweight and obesity in children and adolescents should be done with caution. Furthermore, it is necessary to be aware that adopting an international standard for a specific population may introduce error because the relationship between BMI and adiposity is race-specific. For this reason, it is expected that race-specific standards of BMI with additional body composition-related information for children and adolescents will become available in the future to ensure reliable assessment of adiposity levels.

後花園天皇は崇光院流皇統(伏見宮)の出身ながら、断絶した後光厳院流皇統を猶子相続したため、どちらの皇統の継承者なのかという点で見解が分かれている。この問題を解明するにあたり、鍵となる伏見宮貞成親王(後崇光院)の尊号宣下についても、後花園と貞成の続柄や、貞成の尊号辞退をめぐり、検討する余地が残されている。そこで本稿では同時期の政治状況を見据えつつ、これらの問題をあきらかにしていきたい。 永享五年(一四三三)、後花園は義父の後小松院が死没したさいに後光厳院流の継承者と再確認されたものの、生家の崇光院流との関係を絶ち切れず、文安四年(一四四七)の貞成親王の尊号宣下を「厳親」としておこなうのか、それとも「傍親」としておこなうのかが問題となった。結局、後花園は貞成の尊号宣下を「傍親」すなわち兄としておこない、自らが後光厳院流の継承者であることを明示した。これは康正二年(一四五六)の貞成の葬礼でも変わらなかったので、貞成の尊号宣下は後花園の皇統を決した節目と見なせる。また貞成は尊号辞退の報書を提出し、とくに慰留された形跡はないが、依然上皇として天皇・室町殿と並びたつ位地にあった。 このように後光厳院流の後花園天皇と崇光院流の上皇の貞成が並存する、一見矛盾した措置がとられたのは、後花園の実父として貞成への尊号宣下をしてはならないという後小松院の遺詔と、足利義教が貞成を後花園の実父と遇してきた政治路線との妥結による。この結果、伏見宮は当主が代々後光厳院流の天皇の猶子として親王位につきつつ、崇光院流の上皇たる貞成にもつらなる世襲親王家として皇位継承権を担保され、後花園は後光厳院流の系譜上の断絶を回避しつつ、崇光院流(伏見宮)の温存をも果たし、前世紀以来の両皇統の争いを終息させ、その融和と両立を実現させたのである。

においを表す語彙の少なさについてはよく知られている.しかし,香料開発の現場を始めとして,かおりやにおいの分類や表現にさまざまなことばが使われているのも事実である.本稿ではそうしたことばが使われる場面や目的を,同定,記憶,描写,評価に分けて考察し,分類用語を含めた言語表現の具体的な機能について考察する.また,共感覚表現やオノマトペが多用される意義や,評価において特徴的に見られる,ネガティブ要素の探索という行為が,においのことばを生成するのみならず,嗅覚感度に影響を与える可能性を検討する.

This paper discusses a philosophical answer about the question “in relativistic cosmology, is space really expanding?” In general cosmology which is called a big-bang theory, cosmological space is said to have been expanding like a balloon gradually pumped up since a big-bang, which is shown by a co-moving coordinate of which the scale gets bigger as a proper time of observers in the earth passes. In this paper, I would like to interpret this phenomenon from a structural spacetime realism's viewpoint in which spacetime is real as different whole structures for different coordinates you arbitrarily choose depending only on a metric/gravitational field. Through my remark, I get a new conclusion of what spacetime really means,thus the role of specetime in contemporary physics.

This study had two purposes: first, we investigated the effects of observer behavior on feeling of embarrassment of an individual, and second, we explained the process of that effect. Participants read a scenario in which they felt embarrassment in front of a friend and the friend responded with one of four types of behavior (helpfulness, avoidance, being humorous, and other-monitoring.) or did not react at all. Participants were then asked to respond to items describing their feeling of embarrassment (Higuchi, 2000) and causal factors of embarrassment (Higuchi, 2001). To examine whether participants' feeling of embarrassment differed, one-way ANOVA and multiple comparison were conducted. These analyses revealed that “avoidance” behavior heightened feeling of embarrassment compared to “helpfulness” or “being humorous” behavior. Moreover, mediation analyses showed three causal factors of embarrassment (apprehension of social evaluation, disruption of social interaction, and loss of self-esteem) could mediate between avoidance behavior and feeling of embarrassment.

多宗教・多民族帝国であったオスマン帝国は、19世紀から20世紀にかけて発生した叛乱や紛争の末に、陸軍による治安維持、さらには強制移住や虐殺など、民衆への暴力を伴いながら崩壊した。東欧・中東を支配したオスマン帝国が、暴力的に清算された過程を明らかにすることは、テロや紛争等の暴力という課題を抱える現代の東欧・中東を理解する上で、欠かせない問いである。本研究は、治安維持のための軍事作戦時、民衆への暴力の主体となったオスマン陸軍将兵の体験、そして暴力体験の報道等における再定義を分析する。これにより本研究は、陸軍将校はなぜ過剰なまでの暴力でオスマン帝国の清算を実行したのかという点を明らかにする。

A mathematical model of slope development is summarized by the relation _??_ where u: elevation, t: time, x: horrizontal distances, a: subdueing coefficient, b: recessional coefficient, c: denudational coefficient and f (x, t): arbitrary function of x and t, respectively. Effects of the coefficients are shown in figs. 1-(A), (B) and 2-(A). In order to explain the structural reliefs, the spatial distribution of the rock-strength against erosion owing to geologic structure and lithology is introduced into the equation by putting each coefficient equal a function, in the broadest sence, of x, t and u. Two simple examples of this case are shown in fig. 5. The effects of tectonic movements, for instance of faulting, are also introduced by the function f (x, t), which is, for many cases, considered to be separable into X (x) and T (t), where X (x) and T (t) are functions of x only and t only, respectively. An attempt to classify the types of T (t) has been made. Generally speaking, provided the coefficients a, b and c are independent of u, the equation is linear and canbe solved easily. With suitable evaluation of the coefficients (as shown, for example, in fig. 4-(A)), this linear model can be used to supply a series of illustrations of humid cycle of erosion, especially of the cycle started from faulting.

【目的】ホスピス・緩和ケア病棟で家族を亡くした遺族の複雑性悲嘆および抑うつ, 希死念慮の出現率と関連因子について明らかにする. 【方法】全国の緩和ケア病棟100施設を利用した遺族に対して自記式郵送質問紙調査を実施し, 438名(67.1%)からの有効回答を分析対象とした. おもな調査項目は, Inventory of Traumatic Grief (ITG), CES-D短縮版, Care Evaluation Scale (CES), Good Death Inventory (GDI)である. 【結果】複雑性悲嘆と評定された者は2.3%であった. 回答者の43.8%が臨床的に抑うつ状態にあると評定され, 11.9%に希死念慮が認められた. 重回帰分析の結果, ITGと, CESおよびGDIとの有意な関係性が示された. 【結論】緩和ケアや患者のQOLに対する遺族の評価が, 死別後の適応過程に影響を及ぼすことが示唆される.

世界を震撼させた東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の事故から二年近くが経過した.原子炉は冷温停止状態に至り,事故そのものは収束に向かいつつあるが,環境中に大量に漏洩した放射性物質の回収は容易ではなく,環境や人体への影響が憂慮されている.近年の分子生物学の進展により,放射線に対する細胞応答を分子レベルで理解できるようになったが,その一方で,長期にわたる低線量被曝や内部被曝の人体への影響については情報が少なく,社会に不安と混乱を生む一因となっている.本稿では,放射線の生物影響に関してこれまで得られている知見や,放射線防護のための規制値の根拠について解説する.
