In the 19th century, dance music in Vienna prospered since people enjoyed dancing regardless of their social status. During the time of the Viennese Classic period from 1750 to 1830, the music of Haydn(1732-1809), Mozart(1756-91), and Beethoven(177-1827) was followed by the music of Schubert(1797-1828), one of the first of the Romantic School. This was, in turn, followed by the music of Bruckner(1824-96), and Brahms(1833-97), and other Post-Romanticists who were active in Vienna. However, Johann Strauss II(1825-99) established a new music culture in Vienna despite working in Vienna during the same time period. Although the music of Johann Strauss II was popular music, it also had the support of many great composers. Despite being music for entertainment, his works were evaluated highly by other artistic musicians. An analysis of the works of Johann Strauss II was taken to understand the essence of his music as well as the reasons why he was so highly respected by other composers. The conclusion is that the music of Johann Strauss II had an unmatched "nobility" or "refinement." This was a result of his tenderness and intelligence, originating in his Viennese background.

本誌は老健施設を対象に介護保険の経営への影響を調査した。約6割の施設で総収入が増加し、おおむね順調な滑り出しとなっている実態が明らかになった。ただし、ショートステイに力を入れるなど、本来、高い評価がなされるべきの在宅支援型の施設の中には、減収になったケースがある。

1. 地形的にその存在が推定されていた跡津川断層は,少なくとも庄川-神通川の分水嶺から北東へ常願寺川上流までたしかに存在する.長さ60km以上,部分的にゆるくを彎曲するがほぼ直線状で,その平均走向N60°E,断層面の傾斜はほぼ垂直,断層面上の断層条線はほぼ水平である. 2. この断層線に沿って,古生代の飛騨変成岩類から第四紀の河床堆積物までの地層および隆起小起伏面や段丘面などの地形面が変位している.この断層の変位の向きは多少の垂直成分を伴った右ずれである.この断層が示す変位の水平成分は断層の主部で約3km,垂直成分は,概して北側の相対的隆起でその量は1km以下である.すなわち,この断層は右横ずれ活断層である. 3. 第四紀の地層・地形面は古い時代のものほど大きく変位しているが,それ以前に生じた岩石では,時代が古くなっても変位量はそれ以上増加しない.したがって,現在この断層が示す変位量3kmは第三紀後期以後に生じはじめたと考えられる.数万年前に生成した河岸段丘が20m以上変位しているから,最近の数万年間における平均の変位速度は1~数m/1000年位と考えられる. 4. 段丘の変位や谷の喰違い現象は,この断層が最近地質時代に数十m以下を単位とする小刻みのほゞ同方向の変位を繰返してきたことを示している。また,この断層沿いにみられる断層崖などの断層地形は大地震時に生じる地形によく似ている.これらのことから,この断層の約3000mの変位量は地震時の変位の集積と考えられる.安政5年(1857)の飛騨地震はこの断層の最近の活動の1つと思われる. 5. 断層線上での谷の屈曲・転移のむきは概して右であるが,その量はその断層線から谷頭までの距離の大きな谷ほど大きい.このことは,この断層が活発な右ずれ変位を繰返していること,谷の喰違い地形は変位のむき・量を大略反映していること,谷の古さは断層線よりも上流の部分の長さにほゞ対応していること,を示唆している.このような谷の累進的転位現象の有無・程度は,未知の断層の活動性を知る1つの目安になると思われる.The Atotsugawa fault in central Japan lies about 70 km north of the Atera fault which has recently been described by Sugimura and Matsuda (1965). Although both faults are strike-slip faults of Quaternary age in central Japan, their directions of displacement are opposite to each other. The Atera fault is NW-SE in trend and left-lateral in displacement, while the Atotsugawa fault concerned here is NE-SW in trend and right-lateral.

本研究の目的は,熱布清拭と石鹸清拭が気分とストレスに与える影響を明らかにすることである.研究方法は対象者10名に対して熱布清拭と石鹸清拭を行い,日本語版POMS短縮版と唾液アミラーゼ活性にどのような変化があるかを比較した.また,熱布清拭と石鹸清拭の影響を比較するために,両清拭における日本語版POMS短縮版のT得点の変化量を比較した.その結果,熱布清拭前後における日本語版POMS短縮版のT得点はすべての項目において有意な差は認められなかった.一方で,石鹸清拭前後における日本語版POMS短縮版のT得点は「抑うつ-落込み」「混乱」で有意な減少,「活気」で有意な上昇が認められた.熱布清拭と石鹸清拭の日本語版POMS短縮版T得点の変化量の比較は,石鹸清拭が熱布清拭と比較し「活気」に及ぼす影響が有意に高い結果となった.なお,唾液アミラーゼ活性は両清拭とも有意な変化は認められなかった.この結果から,石鹸清拭は熱布清拭と比較し精神的効果が高い援助方法であることが示唆された.

We have proposed the one-shot learning algorithm called SOLAR (Supervised One-shot Learning Algorithm for Real number inputs) which needs only a single presentation of training examples, and the learning speed is extremely fast. However, the generalization ability is not satisfactory. In this paper, we propose SOLAR 2 which has good generalization ability. To improve the generalization ability, we introduce the concept of Adaptive Similarity for grouping the training examples. Adaptive Similarity adapts the similarity measure on the course of training. The characteristics of SOLAR 2 are as follows: it learns extremely fast, constructs the network automatically, and it has no local minima problem.

ゼロショット学習は,1度も学習したことのないカテゴリの画像を,補助情報を頼りに分類する手法である.ゼロショット学習を実現する様々な手法の中でも,補助情報に属性を用いた属性ベースゼロショット学習が最もよく知られている.しかし既存研究では,各属性の画像特徴量への現れやすさを考慮していなかった.本稿ではこのような度合いを属性ごとの観測確率と呼び,観測確率を含めた新たなモデルを提案した.そして提案したモデルの妥当性の検証および既存研究との比較実験によって,提案手法が既存手法と比較して有効性の高いモデルであることを示す.

本研究の目的は、金城安太郎(1911年12月10日-1999年1月13日)の業績のうち、新聞小説の挿絵について検討することである。金城安太郎は1951年から1969年の間に18作品の小説の挿絵を描いている。総数は4369点に上る。このうち、1765点が発見されている。金城安太郎は、「挿絵は小説と表裏一体である」と述べている。これが、安太郎の挿絵観の中心思想である、と考える。This paper closely examines Kinjo Yasutaro's illustrations for newspaper novels. Among his many other artistic achievements, Kinjo began illustrating newspaper novels at the age of sixteen. From 1951 to 1961, Kinjo illustrated 18 novels. His work ranges from contemporary themes to historic ones. In all, Kinjo illustrated over 4000 pieces of which only 1765 are extant. The artist suggests that both the novel and the illustration itself represent "two sides of the same coin." We believe that this aphorism is central to the artist's approach to his work as an illustrator.

人間特性と生産システムの適合性を評価するうえで, 種々の機能検査が応用されているが, その測定条件によって異った測定結果をうることが少なくない.<br>その一つの方法として多用されるフリッカー・テストは, 大脳活動度を指標として, 作業者がシステムの側からうける不利な影響を検出するのに適している. しかし, 従来の測定装置には, 精度や取扱いのうえで, あるいは保守の点などで, 測定条件が必ずしも均一とならない問題があった.<br>こうした問題点を解決するためにフリッカー値自動測定装置を開発した. 試作した装置は, 視標光源には発光ダイオードを用いた光源点滅方式とし, リセットボタンを押すことによって, 連続5試行のフリッカー値測定がおこなわれ, ディジタルに直示, または, 磁気記録されるよう, 安定した電子回路によって測定精度の向上をはかった. また, この装置は, 被験者自身でも単独測定できるのが大きな特徴であって, 測定条件が均一であり, 広く応用が可能である.

Mass spectra of excess-kinetic-energy ions(KE ions)formed under electron impact have been studied by using a commercial mass spectrometer with the modified ion source. Parent ions of KE ions may be so much excited than those of thermal-energy ions that they may decompose more quickly and give much simple cleavage ions and less rearrangement ions. Therefore the mass spectrum of KE ions must be different from the ordinary mass spectrum. Several compounds of alcohols and ethers have been studied. Simple relations have been found between the mass spectra of KE ions and the structure of these compounds. Generally, fragment ions which are smaller than a half of a molecule can be observed as KE ions and the terminal groups of a compound, such as CH3CO, -CH2OH, HCO-, C2H5-and so on, give the intense peaks. It has been proved that the mass spectra of KE ions show less rearrangement and are useful for the structure determination of organic compounds

症例は30歳,男性.2006年6月,スポーツジムのランニングマシンで運動中に突然,心窩部不快感が出現し,運動を中止したが痙攣を伴う意識消失をきたし倒れた.スポーツジムのトレーナーがただちに心肺停止を確認し,施設内の自動体外式除細動器(AED)を装着した.AEDの音声に従い除細動ボタンを1回押し,すみやかに自己心拍が再開したが,AED使用後にリセットボタンを押したため,メモリーが消去され,心肺停止の原因として致死性不整脈の関与は確認できなかった.<BR>入院後,トレッドミル運動負荷心電図検査で広範囲の誘導でST低下を認め,冠動脈造影検査を施行し冠動脈瘤を伴う重症多枝病変を認めた.心肺停止の原因は心筋虚血による心室細動もしくは無脈性心室頻拍と推定し,冠動脈バイパス術を施行した.<BR>AEDの普及に伴い非医療従事者によるAEDを使用した救命例が本邦でも徐々に報告されており,本症例は現場にあったAEDをただちに使用したことが社会復帰に大きく貢献したと考えられる.ただし,本症例で使用したAEDのように,一部機種ではリセットボタンを押すことによりメモリーが消去され,事後検証が困難になることは注意すべき点であり改善を要する.

3-フェニル-8-トリフェニルホスホイミノ-1-アザアズレン(1)とイソシアナート類との反応を検討した。1とアリールイソシアナートとの反応では2-アリールイミノジアザシクロペンタ[cd]アズレン誘導体と1,8-ジヒドロ-8-アリールイミノ-1-アザアズレン誘導体が得られた。1とトシルイソシアナートとの反応では、イオウが脱離し、トリル基が転位した環化生成物が得られた。生成物の構造はX線結晶解析により決定した。得られる8-アミノ-1-アザアズレン誘導体の互変異性について、X線結晶解析と分子軌道計算により検討したので、これについても述べる。

A rare case of intratendinous ossifications of the bilateral patellar tendons was reported. A fourteen-year-old boy, who was a superior short runner, visited our office, complaining of pain in both knees after running. Physical examination revealed hard masses in bilateral patellar tendons and tenderness of those. No other abnormalities were noted. Roentgenograms of both knees showed ossification in the area of the patellar tendon. Of course, those were extra-articular, arthrographically. Differential diagnosis was made from patella biprtita, Osgood-Schlatter disease and others. Conservative therapies consisting of anti-inflamatory drugs, local injection and others were effective, but the symptom arose repeatedly because he trained hard. We are planning to resect the ossifications after the running seasen.

Antillatoxin is an ichthyotoxic cyclic lipopeptide isolated by Gerwick and co-workers from the marine cyanobacterium <I>Lyngbya majuscula</I> collected in Curacao. Although we have finished the stereoselective total synthesis of antillatoxin having the proposed structure with (4<I>S</I>, 5<I>R</I>) -configuration, we have found that the synthetic sample was not identical with the natural one and the proposed structure should be revised. Further our synthetic efforts have culminated in the first total synthesis of antillatoxin in its natural form, proving that the natural one has (4<I>R</I>, 5<I>R</I>) -configuration. In this account, our total synthesis and synthetic studies by other groups will be discussed.
