本稿は二つの目的を持つ.一つは所得格差と一般的信頼の関係を検討することであり,もう一つは一般的信頼と福祉国家への支持の関係を検討することである.寛大な福祉国家は一般的信頼の醸成に寄与するが,それは福祉国家の正統性にとって必ずしも望ましいわけではないというのが,本稿の主張である.国際社会調査プログラム(ISSP)のデータを用いたマルチレベル分析によって,以下の知見が得られた.第一に,所得格差が大きい国に住む人ほど,他者を信頼する傾向が弱い.第二に,一般的信頼が高い人ほど,福祉国家を支持する傾向が弱い.第三に,福祉国家への支持に対する一般的信頼の効果は,積極的労働市場政策に関する支出が多い国ほど小さい. 寛大な福祉国家は,自国の所得格差を縮小することによって,一般的信頼の醸成に寄与する.それにもかかわらず,「連帯と協力の基礎」としての一般的信頼は,コミュニティにおける相互扶助の精神を促進することによって,福祉国家の正統性を掘り崩す可能性がある.しかし,福祉国家への支持に対する一般的信頼の効果には,無視できない国家間の差異がある.こうした国家間の差異は,各国の積極的労働市場政策の規模によって説明される.すなわち,一般的信頼が福祉国家の正統性を掘り崩すかどうかは,福祉国家の制度的特徴に依存する.本稿の結果は,受益者と拠出者の水平的連帯を促進する福祉国家が,高信頼者の離反を防ぐ可能性を示唆している.

Polymetallic sulfides deposited in seafloor hydrothermal vents have recently attracted attention as potential deep-sea mineral resources for base, rare, and precious metals such as Cu, Zn, Pb, In, Ga, Ge, Au, and Ag. For future exploitation of this type of deep-sea mineral resources, development of effective methods for exploring seafloor hydrothermal activity is a key to provide the most promising list of fields. However, conventional exploration methods are likely laborious and time-consuming, and a more efficient methods for exploration of seafloor hydrothermal vents are to be further developed. In the last decade, water column observation using multibeam echo souder (MBES) systems have become successfully applied to exploration of seafloor hydrothermal vents. In 2013 and 2014, we conducted extensive water column surveys using MBES systems in the mid-Okinawa Trough. During the surveys, we detected 10 hydrothermal vent sites, including previously known sites, belonging to four relatively large hydrothermal vent fields, located at the Izena Hole, Iheya North Knoll, Iheya Small Ridge, and a seamount 15 km northwest of the Izena Hole. All of the hydrothermal vent sites are in groups of 2–3 vent sites belonging to a hydrothermal field. Morphological features of the acoustic water column anomalies (rising vertically up to ~1000 m from the seafloor without a significant change of width) implied that the acoustic water column anomalies were not caused directly by hydrothermal vent fluid flows. The depth of the top of the acoustic water column anomalies (~500 m) corresponded rather well to the depth of the CO2 phase transition from liquid/clathrate-hydrate to vapor. This suggests that the acoustic water column anomalies are attributed to water mass including dense liquid CO2 droplets with clathrate-hydrate crusts, which are originally derived from the seafloor hydrothermal fluid discharges.

本稿は、沖縄戦以降の米国統治下において、沖縄に存在した統治機構である、琉球政府及びその前身組織により作成・取得された資料群(琉球政府文書)が、施政権返還、保存環境、保存場所等の課題を乗り越え、沖縄県公文書館で永久保存に至った経緯と、その後の資料を巡る動向について概観を試みるものである。当時の実務担当者の論考や記録等を中心に、①復帰前、②復帰後~沖縄県公文書館設置前、③沖縄県公文書館設置後の3つの時期における、琉球政府文書の保存・利用に係る経緯及び動向を整理した。これらの結果から、今後の可能性として、デジタルアーカイブ構築後の継続的な運用及び利活用推進に向けた取り組みの重要性や、次世代へのアプローチの視点を示唆した。

要旨 脳梗塞の約23%が一過性脳虚血発作によって引き起こされる.活性酸素種産生による酸化ストレスの亢進は,脳虚血による神経障害を悪化させる要因の一つである.現在臨床適応されている抗酸化薬はエダラボンのみである.しかしながら,エダラボンは急性腎不全および肝障害などの重篤な副作用や治療可能時間域の短さが問題となっている.故に,一過性脳虚血発作に続く重篤な脳梗塞発症を予防するために新たな治療薬の開発が望まれる.本稿では,生体内で合成される抗酸化物質グルタチオン(GSH)に着目し,脳においてGSH 生合成を高める薬物の基礎および臨床研究結果と,われわれのGSH 経口投与による一過性脳虚血に伴う脳機能障害を改善効果について紹介する.

ディサースリアについて,その動態・背景となる運動制御機構・介入の視点を概説した.発話明瞭度の改善のためには,明瞭度の低下をもたらしている発話の動態を解析し,その自動的な運動遂行過程へ介入する必要がある.その過程は知覚情報を能動的に識別するなかで遂行されるので,構音訓練のなかで適切な知覚情報をもたらし運動そのものに介入することが必要である.対象者のレベルによっては発話に必要な運動要素を実現するために対象活動の利用や徒手的な調整が行われる.医療におけるリハビリテーションの短縮化のなかで,医療と介護,他職種との連携の必要性とともに,STの専門性をさらに高め効果的で効率のよい治療を行うことが求められていると考える.

ヘカテは、シェイクスピアの『マクベス』に登場する魔女の首領の名である。ブリッグズはイギリスにおける魔女と魔女裁判について、学者の理論によるよりも、むしろ民俗学的な手法、即ち当時の魔女裁判の記録などを入念に調べることで、魔女の実像を浮かび上がらせようとしている。この論考では、魔女裁判の実状を、「使い魔」「呪詛」「悪魔憑き」「サバト」「子供の告発」などに亘って論じ、最後に魔女狩りと大衆心理の解剖にまで及んでいる。

As we approach the latter half of the twentieth century, many social problems have arisen on a sale that affects our world, especially in American society. There is vague anxiety everywhere in modern life, especially in family relationships. Presented here are results obtained from a survey of American university students on actual conditions in the days of 1983, considered in the light of extreme individualism, the base is for the American spirits and ethos. Problems considered include changes in family structure such as the fact that the traditional nuclear family of husband, wife and children is no longer considered to be the basic family structure in the U.S., due to new types of family structure, and such as gay couple families which include adapted children and children are reduced through artificial insemination, which are new beginning to be accepted, and so on. This study highlights aspects that have a bearing on social life in the twenty-first century which are discussed from the viewpoints of clinical social psychology.

Albino mutants (white coat and red eyes) of tanuki (Nyctereutes procyonoides viverrinus) have been repeatedly found in the Central Alps area of Japan. We recently reported that an albino tanuki from Iida, a city in this area, lacks the third exon of the TYR gene encoding tyrosinase, which is essential for melanin synthesis. The absence of this exon was due to the chromosomal deletion of a complex structure. In the present study, we analyzed TYR of another albino tanuki that was found in Matsusaka, a city located outside the mountainous area. In this animal, the third exon was also lost, and the loss was due to a deletion in which the structure was identical to that of the Iida mutant. Our results indicate, in consideration of the complex structure of the deletion, that the two albino animals inherited a single deletion that arose in their common ancestor. Iida and Matsusaka are approximately 170 km apart. This is, to our knowledge, the first report of an albino mutant gene that is widely distributed in mammalian natural populations. As the origin of this mutation is not known, the distance covered by the mutant gene remains unclear. If we assume that the mutation occurred halfway between Iida and Matsusaka, we can predict the migration distance to be approximately 85 km; however, if the mutation occurred at any other place, a longer distance would be predicted. Natural selection against albino tanuki may be relaxed because of a recent increase in food resources and refuge in urban areas.

近年,ゼロ金利下におけるニューケインジアンモデルでの政策効果が,従来のマクロ経済理論で考えられていたものと大きく異なることが指摘され,パラドックスとも呼ばれている。本稿では,このゼロ金利下の政策効果のパラドックスが「右上がりの総需要曲線(AD 曲線)」によって説明できることを示す。またパラドックスの多くは,学部教育でも使用可能なフォワードルッキングな要素を持たないケインジアンモデル(IS-MP モデル,AD-AS モデル)による可視的なアプローチによって説明できることを示す。

都内外の法外施設等への入所を余儀なくされる都内被保護高齢者への支援の実態を、(1) 法外施設等への入所につなぐ福祉事務所、および (2) 被保護高齢者を受け入れる法外施設等への事例調査によって明らかにした。その結果、法外施設の利用が少ない福祉事務所では、(1) 被保護高齢者へのきめ細かい支援、(2) 法外施設を極力利用をしない方針の共有、(3) 高齢所管課や社会福祉協議会等との連携、(4) 地域内外の居宅サービス、民間宿泊所、一般住宅施策などの活用、といった点が共通して確認された。一方、法外施設等への調査からは、(1) 都内施設における物理的、経済的制約によるハード面の整備の困難さ、(2) 有料老人ホームにおけるディスカウントの実施、(3) 福祉事務所による入所後のモニタリングや施設との連携をめぐる差異の存在が明らかになった。さらに、被保護高齢者が住み慣れた地域における介護サービスから排除される要因として、被保護高齢者における社会的排除の累積、行政責任の後退と「施設の論理」の一般化、貧困ビジネスの台頭、制度や機関間の連携不足といった点が指摘された。最後に、これらの議論をもとに必要な方策を提言した。

パブリッククラウドの仮想マシン(VM)上で重要なデータを扱うと,クラウドの内部犯などから VM 内の機密情報を盗まれる可能性がある.このリスクを低減するために,AMD プロセッサでは SEV と呼ばれる VM のメモリを透過的に暗号化するセキュリティ機構が提供されている.一方,クラウドにおいて VM の中でVMを動作させるネストした仮想化を用いた様々なシステムが提案されているが,ネストした仮想化を用いるシステムには SEV を適用することができない.本稿では,ネストした仮想化に SEV を組み合わせることを可能にする Nested SEV を提案する.SEV の適用方法によって 4 種類のシステム構成が考えられるため,Nested SEV は透過的 SEV,SEV パススルー,SEV 仮想化の 3 つの方式を提供する.透過的 SEV は外側の VM に適用されている SEV の機能を用いて内側の VM のすべてのメモリを暗号化する.SEV パススルーは内側の VM に外側の VM の SEV をそのまま適用する.SEV 仮想化は内側の VM に専用の仮想 SEV を適用する.これらを Xen,KVM,BitVisor に実装し,I/O 性能を調べる実験を行った.
