During spring 2014, we drilled an ice core on the northwestern Greenland Ice Sheet, recovering a core of total length 225m. We also conducted stratigraphic observations, measurements of the density of the ice core, near-infrared photography of the ice core, preparation of liquid samples for chemical analysis, and measurements of borehole temperature. The pore close-off depth was 60m, and the temperature in the borehole was −25.6°C at a depth of 10m. In addition, we conducted snow-pit observations, ice-velocity and surface-elevation measurements using the global positioning system (GPS), meteorological observations, and installation of an automated weather station (AWS).

本論文は、子ども時代の貧困の持続性について考察する。具体的には、子ども時代に児童養護施設などの社会的養護を経験し、なおかつ施設退所後にホームレス生活を経験した11名を対象にインタビュー調査を行い、子ども時代からホームレス生活に至るまでの生活史を分析した。その結果、第1に、ほとんどのケースにおいて社会的養護からの離脱後には施設や家族との関わりはなく、勤務先の寮などで生活している。保護者も頼ることができず「帰る場所がない」居住環境にあるため離職がホームレス経験に直結している。第2に、子ども時代から大人になりホームレス生活に至るまで社会的養護の事由となる家族基盤の脆さは一貫してある。すなわち、子ども時代は社会的養護というシステムに包摂されるが、社会的養護が発生する問題自体は、子ども時代を経て大人になった時点においても解決されず、施設での生活や高校卒業等の教育歴を獲得することによっても生活の立て直しが容易ではないことが示唆された。

J. Edmonds and D. R. Fulkerson defined a blocking system as a pair of subset families, i.e., a clutter and a blocker, in which the bottleneck theorem holds true (Journal of Combinatorial Theory, 1990, 8(3), 299-306). Blocking systems have been studied in several combinatorial problems, such as those including graph, matroid, network flow, optimal assignment, and multi-person games. In this study, blocking systems are applied to cognitive modeling of a single decision maker. The domain of the blocking system corresponds to aspects in the multi-dimensional comparison of alternatives, and the models are discussed including choice under risk, consumer brand choice, and reasoning task.

本研究は、発達障害児の親に対するペアレント・トレーニングにスタッフとして参加した大学院生のうち、親面接を担当した5名を対象に、参加後の変容について検討した。親面接担当スタッフは、事前にペアレント・トレーニングに関する学習や演習を行い、実際のペアレント・トレーニングでは親への講義やグループワークにおける面接を担当した。ペアレント・トレーニング参加後、子育て支援に対する効力感に関して、託児担当スタッフには変化がみられなかったが、親面接担当スタッフは5名中3名で有意に向上し、「育児不安に対する支援」と「支援環境の整備」は5名全員に向上が認められた。また、面接の進め方に対する親からの評価が高くなり、スタッフの面接技術や話し方が変化したと推察された。これらの結果から、ペアレント・トレーニングにスタッフとして参加し、親への講義や面接を行うことが、発達障害児の親および子育てに対する支援者を養成する一助となる可能性が示唆された。

<p>This study aims to investigate Nakajima Aircraft Company's airframe business and its production efficiency during WW II in comparison with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.</p><p>During the Pacific War, Japanese aircraft production was essentially based on job shop system for parts fabrication and sub-assembly. Nakajima Aircraft Company the largest aircraft manufacturer of war-time Japan and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries the second largest utilized both job shop and production line systems for their airframe final assembly lines depending on each plant situations. The United States Strategic Bombing Survey reports evaluated that Nakajima's airframe production system was more developed than that of Mitsubishi, which adhered to original, old-fashioned job shop system. This was substantiated from the fact that Nakajima expanded its production by 1944 to more than eight times of its 1941 production, and Mitsubishi produced only three times for the same period.</p><p>However, in production efficiency measured by airframe weight produced per month per employee, Mitsubishi was predominant until August to October 1944. A positive correlation was observed between production efficiency and monthly number of airframe production. Mitsubishi's improvement degree of production efficiency agreed well with the estimation by learning curve theory, but Nakajima's improvement of production efficiency far exceeded the estimation. This is considered to be the effect that Nakajima's labor utilization rate, which was approximately half of that of Mitsubishi in September 1943, might have increased rapidly as the monthly airframe production increased. The difference of the final assembly line did not have decisive influence on the production efficiency, but the increase in the number of monthly airframe production was influential.</p><p>The production efficiency continuously increased as the monthly airframe production increased, and then dropped sharply from the end of 1944 and after due to the rapid decline of monthly production, which was caused by shortages of essential materials and engines, US air raids from November 1944 and after, factory evacuation, and labor shortage.</p>

鈴木三重吉は、どのような<古事記>を参照して『古事記物語』を執筆したのか。発刊以来長期間に渡り広範囲の年齢層に受容され続けている『古事記物語』は、児童向け『古事記』に与えた影響を考えるとき享受史において重要な意味をもつ。本稿では、古事記研究と児童文学研究の狭間で特定が困難であった同書の参照本を、本文異同の手法、三重吉の周辺や当時の新聞広告を探ることで渋川玄耳(しぶかわげんじ)『三體(さんたい)古事記』と特定し、近現代における<古事記>享受と『古事記物語』研究の進展に繋げた。

犬の取り扱いについては, 従来より針金による方法が用いられているが, 腕1本を頼りとした非常に危険をともなう作業である. 今回著者らは, 野犬の捕獲および大型犬の取り扱いに対して, 吹き矢麻酔の応用を行ったところ, 有効な結果が得られたので報告する.

社会的ジレンマにおいて協力行動を取ろうとする「道徳意識」を獲得するためのカードゲーム教材である「The irreplaceable Gift」を開発した.ゲームは,参加者にこれまでのゲームでは体験できなかった「社会的ジレンマによる悪影響の時間的遅れ」を体験させ,協力行動を取ろうとする道徳意識を獲得することができるようにデザインされた.「The irreplaceable Gift」を用いた実験群と,「時間的遅れ」の要素を除いたゲームを用いた統制群との比較実験の結果,本ゲームの参加者は「道徳意識」を獲得しており,その獲得はゲーム終了時のリフレクションを通して「未来への世代」への影響を参加者が判断した結果によることが示唆された.

Significant leakage of the primary containment vessel (PCV) occurred on March 15, 2011 at Unit 2 of Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Station, causing land contamination over a large area. From the radiation dose rate map of Unit 2 and the temperature trend of the PCV, degradation of the PCV top head flange gasket was identified as the cause of the leakage. The design set point of the rapture disc and operability of the valves in the hardened containment venting system were further identified as factors contributing to the leakage. Based on the lessons from the leakage, the gasket material was improved to have greater heat resistance in a steam environment, the PCV cooling system was diversified to improve reliability, and the operability and operation methods of the PCV venting were improved for greater robustness of the PCV in severe accidents.
