10歳齢,去勢雄のシベリアンハスキーが,臨床的および病理組織学的に粘膜皮膚尋常性天疱瘡と診断された。ステロイドの投与後,症例はシクロスポリンおよびビタミンEによって23カ月間は,2回の軽度な再発だけで維持された。著者らの知る限り,これは シクロスポリンおよびビタミンEによって長期間管理された,初めての犬の 尋常性天疱瘡の症例報告である。

Gel pads are commonly used in skin ultrasonography; however, the effects of their thickness are unknown. This study investigated the effects of pad thickness on measurements of skin thickness in 10 beagle dogs. Sonograms to measure neck skin thickness were captured without pads and using pads with thicknesses of 3, 5, 10, and 20 mm. Without pads, acoustic shading was observed due to air bubbles in the coupling gel. With 20-mm pads, echogenic artifacts were observed on the skin surface. Entry echo with 20-mm pads was significantly higher than with 3-mm pads. This suggests that visibility of the skin structure could be affected when a gel pad is not used or when a thick gel pad is selected.

Domestic shipping accounts for 40% of all Japanese domestic freight transportation on a ton-kilometer basis. In recent years, ships have attracted attention as an eco-friendly transportation method since ships emit less carbon dioxide per cargo than trucks. In addition, even if transportation on land is temporarily halted during largescale disasters such as the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake of 2011, ships can effectively transport goods between ports. The Japanese domestic shipping industry currently has many problems. This paper examined the current state of domestic shipping in Japan.

Neuronal systems are dynamical. In the dynamical system, the externally-driven responses, called transient dynamics, are stimulus-specific but reproducible. Under the assumption that the neuronal system is deterministic, we here hypothesized that such reproducible transient activities could produce computational capability in a chaotic dynamical system. To test this hypothesis, we estimated the maximal Lyapunov exponent of neuronal activities in the primary visual cortex (V1) of mice, and quantified their information processing capacity in the transient dynamics. Consequently, V1 was characterized as a chaotic system, where almost identical input time-series led to different trajectories. We also demonstrated that, when mice were visually stimulated with drifting gratings, the trajectories contained the input time-series information for at least 5.2 s after stimulation. These results suggest that computational capability in V1 emerges from reproducible transient activities in the chaotic system. Yet, the estimate information processing capacities in V1 were much lower than those in theoretical studies. Further verification is still required to elucidate the discrepancy between theoretical and experimental results.

3カ月齢の雄のラグドールが突然の四肢の起立困難を主訴に主治医を受診し,翌日に紹介来院した.麻酔下のX線検査では異常所見が認められなかったが,MRI検査にて環軸椎背側領域の脊髄実質における信号強度異常,脳脊髄液検査にて出血を示唆する所見が認められたことから,外傷性環軸椎不安定症が疑われた.頸部の外固定,運動制限,投薬,理学療法といった内科的治療により,経過は良好であった.経時的なMRI検査にて損傷の疑われた脊髄実質における病変部位が空洞化していたことから,神経症状の将来的な残存が示唆された.猫の環軸椎不安定症に対して継時的なMRI検査によって脊髄実質の評価を行うことは,予後判断に有用であると考えられた.

2008~2018年に犬の皮膚病変から分離したStaphylococcus属菌に対するセフォベシンナトリウム(CFV)の薬剤感受性を調査した。分離した菌に対して菌種同定を行い,犬膿皮症の主要な原因菌種であるStaphylococcus pseudintermediusについて耐性率を算出した。2008年~2014年にかけて耐性率は約5倍に上昇したが,2014年以降は20%前後で推移していた。今後は耐性率を上昇させないためにも,CFVの適正使用について引き続き留意する必要があると考えられた。

【背景】LaFargeの表は、統計から得られた式より年齢と心拍数から体表面積当たりの酸素消費量(VO2)を導き出す方法である。近年、先天性心疾患患者群において、LaFargeの式では、3歳未満の症例では、VO2を過大評価する、という報告が散見される。【目的】LaFargeの式の正確性並びに、年齢層による酸素需要の傾向を明らかにする。【対象】先天性心疾患を有し、当院において2013年6月から2014年12月までに心血管MRIと心臓カテーテル検査を受けた34名(平均年齢7.7±4.1歳)。【方法】心血管MRIの主要血管のphase contrast法から測定された心拍数(HR)を用いて、そのHRをLaFargeの式に当てはめたVO2値(LFVO2)と、心臓カテーテル検査時のSaO2値・SvO2値・Hb値とMRI検査時の体血流量を酸素需要式に当てはめる事によるVO2値(MRIVO2)とを比較・検討した。【成績】全症例におけるMRIVO2とLFVO2では相関が認められなかった(r=0.09, p=0.60)。年齢と、LFVO2とMRIVO2の比の相関関係は、弱い負の相関を示した(r=-0.24, p=0.15)。4.5歳未満の症例に限ると、LFVO2はMRIVO2より明らかに高値を示し、有意差が生じた(159.6 vs. 121.5, p<0.01)。4.5歳以上の症例に限ると、LFVO2とMRIVO2は弱い正の相関を示した(r=0.39, p=0.04)。また、Bland-Altoman解析では、VO2が低いとLFVO2が過大評価され、、VO2が高いと過小評価する傾向が認められた。【結論】LaFargeの式は、低年齢層には、不正確になる可能性が示された。今後MRIによる血流測定をもとにした簡便かつ正確なVO2予測式の確立を考える余地がある。

Webサービスを提供する企業において,システムの開発者やサーバの管理者には,実践的なセキュリティ教育が求められている.本研究では,ハッキング競技CTFの一種である攻防型のゲームを提案する.題材は,複数人でプレイするWebゲームサイトとする.主催者は,脆弱性を残したサイトを競技環境として用意し,管理権限を防御側に与える.攻撃側は,ゲームのプレイヤとして,サイトにアクセスする.脆弱性に気付いたら,チート行為を行い,サイトの運営を撹乱させる.防御側は,ログを監視し,チート行為への対処を行う.主催者は,両者の状況をポイント化し,勝敗を競う.ゲームの終了後,講評と検討を行い,セキュリティに対する技術と意識を高める.

三重県桑名市の不法投棄現場は有機溶剤系の廃棄物が多く投棄されており、それらVOCを含む汚染地下水が周辺に拡散したサイトである。そのサイトでは、2002年度から遮水壁による汚染物質の囲い込みおよび揚水循環浄化法により環境修復事業を実施している。その経過については既に本学会で発表した。今回は、高濃度汚染除去後に微生物分解による減衰を低濃度汚染残留地の浄化に採用するため、三重県では微生物叢によるモニタリング方法、および微生物分解によるVOC汚染浄化の調査研究を行っており、これまで行った試験結果について報告する。 クローンライブラリー法により汚染サイトの土壌等の菌叢調査を実施した。VOC含量の高い土壌中ではAciobacter sp.の存在比が高かった。また、現場地下水にVOCを添加した系でベンゼン、トルエンの微生物分解試験を行った結果、約50時間で分解された。

This study finally aims to clear the appropriate lighting conditions for kitchen work. In this report, we conducted the experiment on the subjective evaluation for cutting and peeling, under a variety of conditions of light source, illuminance, light color, and light direction. Subjects evaluated &ldquo;Brightness&rdquo;, &ldquo;Visibility&rdquo;, &ldquo;Task Performance&rdquo; and &ldquo;Satisfaction&rdquo;.<br>As the results, it was cleared that the evaluation for &ldquo;Task Performance&rdquo; is high, under conditions that task light is diffused light and high color temperature light, and that the evaluation of&lsquo;the satisfaction of lighting environment for kitchen work&rsquo;was different by the light direction under the same conditions of illuminance on the work table.
