視野の中心部あるいは周辺部を被った状態を実現する装置を構成し, 中心視か周辺視のいずれか一方で図形を観察する実験を行った. 中心視の範囲は視線を中心とする直径が3°の円形の領域と定め, 15°の大きさの図形を自由に眼を動かして観察した.中心視および周辺視のそれぞれの場合について, 視野の制限のない通常の観察条件での見え方とは, 異なった見え方をする図形が存在することを見出した. これらの結果は, 人間の図形認識機構の特徴抽出の部分に, 多層のニューロン回路網を想定したモデルにより一貫した説明の可能であることを示した. このモデルに基づいて, 図形知覚における中心視と周辺視の役割を検討した.

Background:Outcomes with prasugrel single antiplatelet therapy (SAPT) vs. dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in Japanese percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) patients with high bleeding risk (HBR) are currently unknown.Methods and Results:Data from 1,173 SAPT and 2,535 DAPT patients from the PENDULUM mono and PENDULUM registry studies (respective median DAPT durations: 108 vs. 312 days) were compared. The adjusted cumulative incidence of Bleeding Academic Research Consortium (BARC) 2, 3, or 5 bleeding from 1 to 12 months after PCI (primary endpoint) was 2.8% (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.9–4.2) and 4.1% (95% CI, 3.3–5.1), respectively (hazard ratio [HR], 0.69; 95% CI, 0.45–1.06; P=0.090). The adjusted cumulative incidences of BARC 2, 3, or 5 bleeding from 0 to 12 months after PCI (secondary endpoint) were 3.8% (95% CI, 2.7–5.3) and 5.6% (95% CI, 4.7–6.7), respectively (HR, 0.68; 95% CI, 0.47–0.98; P=0.039). There was no significant difference in major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) from 1 to 12 months after PCI (HR, 0.93; 95% CI, 0.63–1.37; P=0.696) and at 12 months after PCI (HR, 0.85; 95% CI, 0.61–1.19; P=0.348) between the groups.Conclusions:Prasugrel SAPT may reduce BARC 2, 3, or 5 bleeding, without increasing MACCE, in Japanese patients with HBR.

明治前期における宗教概念形成過程のなかで、浄土真宗本願寺派の僧侶・島地黙雷(一八三八-一九一一)が果たした役割の重要性は、先行研究においてすでに指摘されている。その理由の一つは、「信教の自由」の先駆者として捉えられてきた島地が明治五年、実際にヨーロッパを遊学したことであるが、彼がヨーロッパで具体的に誰と会い、どのような経験を通して「ヨーロッパ」の影響を受けたかは、必ずしも解明されていない。本論文の目的は、島地がフランスやドイツで明治五・六年に出会った人物とその思想を明らかにすることを通じて、帰国後の彼の思想展開を分析するための手がかりを得ることである。特にこれまでの研究において謎であった、島地がベルリンで面会した「リスコ」の人物像を解明し、プロテスタント牧師であった彼から島地が学んだ自由神学の影響を検討することによって、近代日本における宗教概念形成研究への貢献を目指すものである。

Drug delivery system (DDS) research has contributed greatly toward improving chemotherapy efficacy and reducing its adverse effects through the development of approaches to optimize pharmacokinetics, such as controlled release and targeting. On the other hand, the remarkable progress of this latest life science research has altered the concept of what constitutes medical supplies. A change in this concept would allow for the consideration of medical materials that use not only conventional low molecular-weight organic compounds, but also biomacromolecules, including nucleic acids and proteins, that constitute living organisms. Although these biomacromolecular drugs are expected to demonstrate excellent efficacy based on their intrinsic bioactivity, they quickly degrade when administered in vivo and only a limited number have therefore been developed into medicines. In addition, most biomacromolecular drugs are ineffective until they are delivered to particular cells within a tissue or to particular organelles within a cell. To develop effective biomacromolecular medicines, it is necessary to introduce a DDS that is capable of ensuring internal stability as well as precise control of internal and intracellular dynamics, and to establish a new fundamental technology for DDS that can accommodate the material properties and mechanisms of action of the biomacromolecular drugs. In this context, this review introduces our approach to the design and creation of “Intracellular DDS” using fusogenic liposomes for application to gene therapy and tumor peptide vaccines. We suggest that this technology is very important for controlling the intracellular pharmacokinetics of biomacromolecular drugs.

We wish to present a tabulation of the shoulder joint disorders we encountered in the last two years. The degenerative Changes in the rotator cuff which consist of a wide variety of diseases, which we consider important to differentiate.<br>The subjects were 406 outpatients with shoulder joint disorders. In cases of impingement syndrome, elevation disturbance without contracture, impingement signs and the impingement test were used as a diagnostic criteria. Frozen shouldrs were taken into account only in cases with contracture.<br>There were 170 cases (average age of 57.3) of the impingement syndrome. Rotator cuff tears were observed in 23 of the cases resistant to treatment. There were 77 cases (average age of 58.5) with a frozen shoulder. There were 55 cases (average age of 64.2) of rotator cuff tear or 78 cases when the 23 cases were corrected from the impingement syndrome were included. Then there were 36 cases (average age of 55.2) of calcified tendinitis, 10 cases (average age of 49.8) of bicipital tendinitis and 8 cases (average age of 71.5) of osteoarthrosis of the shoulder joint. There were 50 other cases.<br>The findings of a survey on the patients' backgrounds revealed the existence in many cases with the impingement syndrome and the rotator cuff tear to be among farm and blue-collar workers and that of many cases with calcified tendinitis among females.<br>When treating an impingement syndrome and a rotator cuff tear, we limited the patients' work and encouraged rest. Kinetic therapy was the basic therapy for a frozen shoulder. Steroid injections into the subacromial bursa proved efficacious in cases of impingement syndrome. Attention ought to be paid to the advance of degenerative changes in the rotator cuff and the existence of its tears. Conservative therapy was not satisfactory enough for more than half of the cases with a rotator cuff tear, and about one third of all the cases required surgery. Satisfactory results were obtained with steroid injections into the subacromial bursa for calcified tendinitis.

本研究課題では,ムカデなど多足歩行生物の蛇行生成メカニズムの解明と工学的応用に向けて,次の 4 つのテーマを実施した.1.ムカデの数理モデルに基づく力学特性の把握2.シンプルモデルに基づく力学構造の明確化3.ロボット実験に基づく工学的実証4.ムカデ計測データに基づく生物学的妥当性の検証.これらの結果から,数理モデルやロボットでは,ある速度を超えると超臨界ホップ分岐を介して蛇行が出現し,速度に依存する蛇行の出現や蛇行の振幅や波数の変化などムカデと同様の傾向を持つことが明らかにされた.これらの研究成果をまとめたものは Physical Review E に採録され,更には,Nature Physics の News & Views で紹介された.

「自動びん詰機のどこが自動なのだ!」これは他産業に部分的オートメ化が導入されて以来, 30年以上にもなる長い間の嘆きの声である。そして今日, 一貫した自動制御方式を駆使した, いわゆるFA化時化に突入した。高短蒸煮, 機械製麹, 大型屋外醸酵タンク, 自動計量とケージ方式による圧搾装置等, 醤油製造装置の革命も一段落を見, ここに新しいFA化時代を迎えようとしている。常に最先端技術に取り組まれて来られた筆者に解説していただいた。

弓浜半島は過去の商品畑作農業の結果,過少農の卓越する人口稠密地域となり,特に開発の早かった半島北部では農業生産は既に副次的な意味しか有していない。これに比べて近世以降に開発の展開をみた半島中部では耕地細分化が北部ほど進行していないことや,地元の小都市とも距離を置き農業部門の地位は相対的に高い。ここでは蔬菜の輸送園芸が戦後盛んとなり,大阪を主とした関西市場へ共同出荷がなされている。透水性の大きい砂土に覆われた弓浜半島で蔬菜栽培を技術的に成立せしめているのが,江戸時代に開かれた米川用水路の働きである。そして普通の畑作物の中で,より労働集約的で土地使用的な性格を持っている蔬菜部門が戦後採択されたのは,過小農が卓越する弓ヶ浜農業の経営経済上の必然であった。この場合,共同出荷の推進母体たる農協は当初の販売担当機関に止ることなく,産地形成上の条件整備機関としての活動まで必要となった。このような共同出荷体制の組織化が社会的規制の形で進むか否かは,管内農家に対する農協の経済的比重の大小によって決定される。この点半島中部の農村は優良農協を中核とする生産-流通の体制が確立されて蔬菜の輸送園芸の中心地区となっている。これに対して,専業農家の少ない半島北部や共同化への関心の低い(米子)近郊は農協による個別経営の結合が弱く,程度の差はあれ輸送園芸の集団的形成を阻害している。弓ヶ浜産蔬菜の代表である葱は需要との関係が生産上の大きな条件となった。特有の農業気象によって早期収穫の可能性は秋の葱消費市場(大阪)を独占し有利な価格を保持している。ただ葱そのものの需要は限界があることや,弓ヶ浜からの出荷蔬菜中に市場での優越を誇る品目が他に見当らないことが問題である。新しい市場を求め,新しい品目を求めて蔬菜産地はその発展に努力しているのであるが,内外の状勢が何時までそれを許すのであろうか。
