This study focused on casual conversation as a component of companionship at nursery schools with the aim of assessing its influence on nursery teachers’ stress reactions. We conducted a questionnaire survey among 312 nursery teachers. Factor analysis of the content of casual conversation identified the following four factors: light small talk, state and development of children, complaining about interpersonal relationships, and thoughts and beliefs about childcare. Similarly, factor analysis of the effect of casual conversation identified the following four factors: pleasure derived from sharing and empathy, smooth communication and awareness, reconfirming one’s specialty as a nursery teacher, and exhaustion from providing sympathy unwillingly. Covariance structure analysis indicated that light small talk reduced nursery teachers’ stress reactions. In addition, casual conversation about the state and development of children as well as thoughts and beliefs about childcare promoted pleasure derived from sharing and empathy, thereby reducing stress reactions. Meanwhile, complaining about interpersonal relationships at the nursery school increased stress reactions. The findings suggest that the effect of casual conversation depend on the content.

サミュエル・ベケット(1906~1989)の戯曲が興味深いのは、それらが優れた作品であると見なされているだけでなく、上演を前提として書かれる「戯曲」と、文学的(あるいは芸術的)に完成された「作品」との間の埋めがたい溝に、「作者」がどの程度まで介入できるかという問題を提起しているからでもある。ここでは文学「作品」と「テクスト」の関係をめぐる、ポスト構造主義以降のさまざまな議論を検討する余裕はないが、少なくとも文学「作品」と、演劇における「作品」の違いとして言えることは、前者が物質的なレベルにおいて紙に書かれた(印刷された)インクの染み、あるいは電子的な記号の配列として存在するのに対して、後者は一定の時間の流れの中にしか存在せず、「作品」を同定することは本質的に不可能だと言うことである。その意味において、演劇における戯曲は、上演を実現するための他のさまざまな媒体(俳優の身体表現、舞台美術、演出プラン等)と同様に、まさにロラン・バルトのいう「テクスト」(さまざまな解釈に向かって開かれた表現)を構成すると言ってよい。ところがベケットは、そのいくつかの作品の上演において、自らの戯曲がこの種の「テクスト」として自由に解釈されることに強い抵抗を示した、その典型的な例が『勝負の終わり』である。ではわれわれはこの戯曲を、彼が構想した通りにしか解釈できないのであろうか。この小論では、ベケットが自らの作品において見落としていた要素に注目し、この「テクスト」の拡大解釈を試みてみたい。

絞り染め模様は染色における繊維や染料などの物理的特性と,染色技法の要素が組み合わさって形成されるため,完成時の模様を予測することは熟練の職人でも困難である.本研究では,染色過程における糸間の隙間での染料の浸透と、糸間の隙間から糸内部への染料の拡散を,毛細管作用と拡散現象をもとにモデル化した.また,布の折り畳みと道具を用いた防染をモデル化して組み合わせることで,絞り染め模様の創発を試みた.

本研究は都市のコンパクトさに着目し、コンパクトな都市が人々の生活や経済活動に与える影響を分析することにより、今後の人口減少時代に対応した都市構造を考察することを目的とする。25地方都市を対象とし、人口や都市機能の広がりを定量的に把握した。また、都市のコンパクトさと活動の活発さの関係性を分析した。分析より、コンパクトな都市ほど生活利便性、職住近接性を要因として消費活動や、就業活動が活発となることが明らかとなった。さらにコンパクトな都市を実現するために都市レベルでは複合型土地利用、空間容量の設定、逆線引き、市街化調整区域での規制強化の4点、広域レベルでは都市計画区域マスタープラン、市町村合併の2点からその方策を述べた。

レトロウイルスの一種であるフォーミーウイルスは、宿主に終生持続感染するものの、いかなる疾病を引き起こさない。本研究は、フォーミーウイルス由来miRNAの抗腫瘍ポテンシャルに着目し、このウイルスがいかにして宿主にがんを引き起こすことなく宿主と共存しているのかを明らかにする。また、フォーミーウイルスが宿主のmiRNA産生系を乗っ取り、大量のmiRNAを産生するメカニズムを明らかにする。そしてこれらの知見を利用して、腫瘍抑制性miRNAを強力に発現しうる新規ウイルスベクターを開発し、家畜や伴侶動物を対象とした新規がん治療法へ道を拓く。

Iwateite, Na2BaMn(PO4)2 is a new mineral, which was found in the manganese ore of the No. 3 (Matsumaezawa) deposit in the Tanohata mine, Tanohata Village, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Iwateite has a glaserite structure, which occurs as granular to anhedral inclusions of 10-100 μm in the main constituent minerals in manganese ore and sérandite crystal. It is colorless with white streaks, non-fluorescent, and it displays very weak pleochroism. Iwateite crystallizes in the trigonal system and belongs to the P3 space group where, a = 5.3642(10), c = 7.039(2) Å, V = 175.41(8) Å3, and Z = 1, with a calculated density of 4.06 g/cm3.

Appreciation is a communicative act with intervention of art works, and mutual interchange by 'seeing' art works. Most cases of former appreciation learning, however, were done by one-way transmission with 'language communication' as a supplementary means. If we think of appreciation from the view of recognition, of course we can recognize act of 'seeing' by 'language'. Peculiar communication of art creation activities is, however, non-language, and the 'error', which exists there is important. The error is embodied images of a viewer, therefore it contains rich educational value. In this paper, I examined the educational meaning of 'communication through art creation' paying attention to that error, which was applied into classroom practice.

Avifauna in urban matrix may be influenced by forests and farmlands surrounded by the matrix. How does the matrix in the city center with few forests and farmlands work for birds? The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of the green coverage ratio in the matrix of the city center on the birds appearing in small urban parks. We selected 29 urban parks ( area : 2561.21±371.97 ㎡ ) in the center of the Osaka City as study sites. Each site was visited three times for bird surveys in each of breeding and wintering seasons. Using the satellite images taken by Sentinel-2, we calculated the green coverage ratio around 29 urban parks. Moreover, we clarified the relationship between the appearing birds and the green coverage ratio in the matrix based on the hierarchical Bayesian model. As a result, the presence of large habitat patch in the urban matrix affected the appearance probability of some species. Furthermore, the result also showed that the green coverage ratio in the matrix during the wintering season influenced the probability of appearance of Hypsipetes amaurotis and Turdus pallidus which have features about eating fruits.

A simple potentiostat can be designed using three operational amplifiers. In this technical note, we will consider some basic circuits of operational amplifiers and the potentiostatic circuit. Controlling of the voltage in the potentiostatic system has been observed experimentally.
