In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for position sensorless control in PMSM drives, and various methods have been studied. Switching noise is a problem in the low-speed sensorless control method that uses the current slope during PWM. Furthermore, another problem is that the inductance does not appear in a sinusoidal distribution owing to magnetic saturation.In this paper, we improve the sensorless control method that estimates the position from the current slope during PWM, which is greatly affected by switching. Additionally, we build a multi-layer neural network (NN) that directly estimates the position signals by learning a large amount of current data, and verify the driving results in the low-speed range when the learned NN is incorporated into real-time control.

本論文では,大型擦弦楽器において特定の音高を演奏した際に生じるウルフトーンを技術的に抑圧するための指針を示すため,擦弦条件(弓の速度や圧力の組み合わせ)と発生範囲の関係を数値計算により求めることを目的とする。まず楽器の等価モデルを用いてウルフトーンを再現した後,弓の速度や圧力を網羅的に変化させウルフトーン発生状態マップを作成し,これと実験結果を比較することでモデルの妥当性を検証した。その結果,弓の速度変化によるウルフトーンの周期変化の傾向や,圧力を維持したまま弓の速度を減速することで抑圧されるといった傾向が実験結果と定性的に一致し,本モデルの妥当性が示された。

This paper discusses female allegorical statues, that is, Motherland and the Lamenting Mother, as Soviet monuments and memorials about the German-Soviet War of the Second World War. In general, we do not meet female citizens in public monuments because modern nations purge women from public spaces to private areas, that is, family spaces. Instead of individual women, they use images of allegorical women, for example, the Archaic goddess Nike/Victoria as a symbol of an imagined community and Marianne in the French Republic.In Soviet war monumental/memorial space, we meet such a symbolic gender structure: Red Army soldiers and allegorical females. In this case, we consider the Archaic goddess featured in Motherland and the Lamenting Mother statue. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, in the process of restructuring war memorial spaces, newborn nations have removed male statues, for example, Lenin, revolutionists, politicians, generals, academicians, artists, and Red Army soldiers, which commemorate great Soviet hegemony. In contrast, female allegory stays in public spaces even today because female unindividual statues are an empty medium that can introject any concept.It was found from the result of fieldwork in the former Soviet Union that Motherland, which has occupied a position as national symbol in the Russian Federation, has lost power to unite nation and people. In fact, the Motherland statue had not been built in Estonia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, or Central Asia. Regarding Latvia, Moldova, Belarus, and Georgia, we meet small-size variants. On the other hand, Lamenting Mother statues, who mourn for the war dead, have been raised in the whole country, even today. Local communities find space to share the pain of loss of relations and friends, homes, property, and life, in memorials in the shape of the Lamenting Mother, who is similar to the Holy Mother.We are here concerned with the implications of social and cultural context of these two female allegories. In the first chapter, we focus on the period of Khrushchev. Stalin had oppressed all war memory and, after his death, people began to narrate personal experiences about war and build memorials for the dead in burial places. We cannot find a clear distinction in early female allegory statues. The 20th anniversary of the Victory, that is, the year 1965, brought a fundamental change in war memorial-commemoration spaces. In those days, Nike-type statues were raised as national symbols to unite the nation and people, such as The Motherland Calls at the top of Mamai Hill to commemorate the Battle of Stalingrad. In the second and third chapters, we illustrate distribution, location, size, shape of Motherland and Lamenting Mother statues in detail. Next, in the fourth chapter, we classify Lamenting Mother statues according to type of icons of the Holy Mother: Eleusa, Pieta, Our Lady of Sorrows, and Orans. We consider that the cult of the “Lamenting Mother” is based on the faith of the Holy Mother. Next, we surmise that early Christianity had united the faith of the Holy Mother with the cult of local great mothers in the course of Christian religion in Europe. Similarly, Islam assimilated local great mothers in Central Asia. It is possible that Soviet people, including Muslims, had a basis for accepting the Soviet secularized Holy Mother. And, finally, we examine threat factors inherent in the Lamenting Mother-type statue.

Keloids are chronic inflammatory fibrous tumors that cause excessive production of such extracellular macromolecules as collagen, due to the overexpression of various growth factors and cytokines. The etiology of keloids is unknown. They cause pain and itching, which together with the red mass leads to physical and mental stress in patients. No definitive treatment for keloids has been established, although various treatment methods have been reported, and the current consensus is that the recurrence of keloids cannot be completely suppressed. Elucidation is awaited of the pathologic mechanism of keloid development and identification of signal transduction pathways that will help establish a molecular targeted therapy for keloids.

本研究は,写真を読み取る力の育成を目指した小学校第6学年児童向けの教材に繰り返し取り組む学習指導の効果を検証した.この学習では,①児童が写真の読み取りを行った結果を文章でまとめ,②その内容を児童同士が話し合い,③最後に教師が1名の児童の読み取りの結果を学級に共有した.写真を読み取る力の育成を目指した小学校第6学年児童向けの教材に繰り返し取り組む学習指導を全14回実施した結果,10回目から写真を読み取る力が向上した.

A collection of the Hepaticae and Anthocerotae made by T. Makino was studied and 85 species were here reported. It included many specimens collected in the central area of Tokyo about 100 years ago; they are of great value in studying the drastic change of natural environment in the metropolis during this century. In the collection were found such epiphytic species as Frullania osumiensis, F. parvistipula, Macvicaria ulophylla, etc., and such terrestrial species as Chiloscyphus polyanthos, Jungermannia atrovirens, Lejeunea japonica, Mannia fragrans, Phaeoceros parvulus, etc.; they have not been found in the area in many decades. A biographical sketch of Tomitaro Makino (1862-1957) and Kiichi Miyake (1876-1964)was also given to show their activities in the early time of Japanese bryology.

This is a critical essay on Bill O’Reilly’s American best-seller, Killing the Rising Sun: How America Vanquished World War II Japan (2016), which, soon introduced through the Internet, shocked some Japanese intellectuals. Considering the pitiless, ill-intentioned content for the Japanese, the book will never be translated into Japanese and probably remain unknown to ordinary people in Japan, many of whom like the United States. The writer of this essay, a Japanese scholar of comparative literature, analyzes how the atomic bombings are justified in Killing the Rising Sun, and criticizes the book using relevant materials, like the TV drama The Pacific produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hunks, which describes how innocent patriots like Eugene Sledge were to become coldblooded killers through the bloody battles against Japanese counterparts in Pacific islands like Peleliu; such theme is so universal that the series still has fans in Japan. The Japanese translation of Tears in the Darkness: the Story of the Bataan Death March and Its Aftermath, a wonderful book by Michael & Elizabeth Norman, also has succeeded in moving the Japanese readers with the two different perspectives of America and Japan, and the authors’ sympathetic attitudes toward the ex-enemies. For example, the so-called beasts did not use Japanese swords so often as the fans of Killing the Rising Sun might imagine: in Mr. and Mrs. Norman’s book, a Japanese officer used his precious weapon just after he knew that the captive had stolen some money from one of his dead soldiers. Bill O’Reilly, on the contrary, only tells stories about good Americans fighting bad Japanese. Since he uses the present tense showing how America comes to drop the atomic bombs, it is understandable that his hatred is keen enough to appreciate Truman’s decision to kill hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians even though the president seems to have regretted to know that innocent women and children also died the most violent deaths ever known in human history. As Yuko Tojo, granddaughter of war-time prime minister Hideki Tojo, was welcomed by American veterans, offering flowers at the memorial service for the US marines in Peleliu in 1999, Japan and the United States are now close friends, having forgiven each other. Japan’s war crimes were severely punished at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East and other trials in foreign countries such as China, the Philippines, and Russia. Nearly one thousand Japanese were executed, some of whom had been wrongly accused and spent their agonizing last days. General Iwane Matsui, one of the unfortunate, had respected China and had ordered all his soldiers to maintain military discipline, but was hanged for the now-called Rape of Nanking. Having built Koua-Kannon (a statue of the Goddess of Mercy for the Rising Asia) in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, the retired general had prayed every day for the souls of both the dead Japanese and Chinese soldiers. The Kannon statue still exists tenderly preserved by an elderly nun and her supporters. The world will admit that the Japanese are now peace-loving people. The atomic attacks are justified in Killing the Rising Sun in four ways: 1) by insisting that the Japanese were beasts; Tojo was a Hitler; Emperor Hirohito was incompetent, 2) by regarding the bombings as rightful revenge to Pearl Harbor, 3) by stressing that the two bombs saved "hundreds of thousands" of American soldiers, and 4) by mentioning that Bill O’Reilly was born thanks to the atomic bombs which saved the life of his future father who was about to take part in MacArthur’s land invasion of Japan. In answer to these, 1) The Japanese soldiers were not beasts, let alone women and children. Their violent acts were due to the nature of war itself. View PDF for the rest of the abstract.

近年,マインドワンダリングに関する研究が盛んに行われている中で,意図的に行うマインドワンダリングと非意図的に生じるマインドワンダリングを区別して扱うことの重要性が強調されている。そこで本研究は,意図的なマインドワンダリング傾向を測定するMind Wandering: Deliberate (MW-D) と非意図的なマインドワンダリング傾向を測定するMind Wandering: Spontaneous (MW-S) の日本語版の尺度を作成し,その信頼性と妥当性を検討することを目的とする。総計357名の大学生を対象に質問紙調査を行い,翻訳した尺度の構造を確認したところ,原版と同様に2因子構造が妥当であることが示された。また,質問紙調査に加えて実験データ(総計N=60名)を用いて信頼性と妥当性の検討を行ったところ,十分な内的整合性と基準関連妥当性が示され,日本語版MW-DとMW-Sが一定の信頼性と妥当性を有することが確認された。

Current studies on the groundwater ages in Mt. Fuji are reviewed. Mt. Fuji is one of the largest Quaternary stratovolcanoes in Japan (volume of 1,200-1,500 km3). The large amount of precipitation on mountain slopes (annual volume of approximately 2 × 109 m3) suggests that Mt. Fuji contains substantial reservoirs of groundwater in its main body. In fact, numerous springs located around the foot of the mountain originate mainly from confined groundwater in Holocene lava flows. Early groundwater studies in the Mt. Fuji area focused on the development of groundwater resources, followed by studies on measures to address groundwater problems including depletion, salinization, and nitrate contamination. Application of isotope hydrological tools since the 1990s has provided valuable information on groundwater flow processes in Mt. Fuji. Groundwater age in Mt. Fuji has been a key issue since the 1960s, and relatively extensive data on tritium (3H) are available. Besides, new age-dating techniques including tritiogenic 3He (3H/3He method), chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), and bomb-produced 36Cl have been applied in the Mt. Fuji area in recent years. These groundwater age data are compiled and discussed in terms of the hydrogeological structure of Mt. Fuji (lava flows of the Younger Fuji volcano, and mudflow deposits of the Older Fuji volcano). Compiled multi-tracer groundwater age data show distinct differences between Younger Fuji (< 30-40 years) and Older Fuji (> 60 years) aquifers, although data on Older Fuji groundwater are still limited. Possible explanations relate to differences in permeability or volume between Younger Fuji and Older Fuji deposits.

It is widely recognized that fluid intake during exercise is effective in preventing heat stroke and maintaining exercise performance in a hot environment. However, kendo players have traditionally restricted fluid intake during training, even in a hot environment, in order to cultivate their spirit.Research involved a study of the fluid intake of kendo players of a college team participating in a summer training camp. Twenty-two kendo players (15 male, 7 female) participated in the summer camp of August in 1997. Trainings in the camp were held twice a day (once in the morning and in the afternoon, respectively). Fluid volume intake of each player in training was measured, as was body weight before and after training, and environmental conditions (i. e. dry-bulb temperature and relative humidity) during training session in the camp.The players took in fluids in a total of 1477. 1 ± 685. 7ml in each training (201. 7 士 256. 1ml, 320. 3 ± 178. 9ml / hr, and 537. 0 土 347. 5ml before, during and after training, respectively). The real body weight loss (i. e. body weight loss corrected by fluid volume intake) was 2. 4 土 1. 1kg, although body weight loss after training was 0. 9 ± 0. 8kg. There was a significant regression between fluid volume intake and the real body weight loss (r = 0. 614, p く 0. 05). The regression analysis showed a regression coefficient of 0. 401, indicating that the rate of fluid volume intake to fluids volume secretion from the body was 40. 1%. It is vital for kendo players to intake fluids much more frequently during training in a hot environment, and their coaches must design training programs in which the players are able to do so.

本研究は,公民科「政治・経済」の学習において,現代社会の諸課題の根底にある価値観の対立を調停していく能力を育成する単元展開を効果的なものにするためには,その前提として公民科「倫理」において価値概念そのものを対象化し,その含意を批判的に吟味することによって受容させる「批判的価値受容学習」が有効であると考え,その単元開発を試みるものである。開発した単元「"天賦人権"は外来思想か?」では,現代民主主義社会において普遍的価値と見なされ,所与のものとして捉えられている自由,平等などの価値概念と初めて対峙し,受容した際の明治期日本に焦点を当て,誰がどのような方法でそれらの価値概念を日本社会に受容可能な形にしていったかを批判的に探求させる学習活動を通して,それらの含意を理解させていく単元展開を構想している。本研究の成果としては,現行教育課程上,共に履修することが規定されている,「倫理」及び「政治・経済」の関連を図るという観点から「倫理」学習の意義を明らかにすることができたことが挙げられる。「倫理」において,現代社会の諸課題を探求するための基盤となる様々な価値概念の含意を批判的に受容させておくことによって,「政治・経済」で,価値観の重なる部分,異なる部分の双方を併せもつ他者との間で暫定的合意案を形成・提示し続けていく「多元的価値調停学習」を行う基盤が整うのである。

As scientific research and business utilizing satellites are spreading worldwide, strategic securing of national interests of satellite orbits is an important issue. Satellites are registered and managed in accordance with the technical standards and operational rules stipulated in the Radio Regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), but the actual status of satellites' deployment is not widely understood by the general public due to the high expertise of their related data. On the other hand, various efforts are underway to publish government-owned data and make data freely available, and among these, those efforts to visualize and publish data in a form close to the actual situation are still on their way. Therefore, this paper will clarify the actual usage of satellite orbits and consider how to solve issues to strategically secure their national interests by focusing on and visualizing buried data such as orbital positions from specialized datasets related to international standards for satellites.

L’île « déserte ouverte » de L’Empreinte à Crusoéles animaux naufragés chez Defoe, Tournier, ChamoiseauTaichi NAKAE   Chamoiseau creuse, pour renouveler le mythe de l’île déserte, « l’interstice » laissé par ses deux précurseurs, Defoe et Tournier. Si la plupart des recherches interrogent la réécriture de Chamoiseau du point de vue postcolonial, le présent article propose une lecture éco-critique de L’Empreinte à Crusoé, en comparant la description que fait Chamoiseau des animaux naufragés avec celles qui se trouvent dans les romans de Defoe et de Tournier.   Dans les romans de Defoe et Tournier, plusieurs animaux échouent sur l’île déserte en même temps que Robinson. Chez Defoe, les animaux venus de l’Occident n’ont de valeur qu’à la condition qu’ils ne s’ensauvagent pas et restent les compagnons de leur maître, qui craint l’envahissement de la nature sauvage dans son royaume civilisé. Les chatons, croisement des races européenne et indigène, sont donc victimes des massacres commis par Robinson Crusoé.   Certes Vendredi ou les limbes du Pacifique, souvent considéré comme l’expression d’un retour à la nature, marque un tournant écologique dans la robinsonnade, mais son île déserte est un espace clos, un écosystème exclusif où les êtres allogènes ne peuvent survivre, à l’exception de Robinson. Ainsi, les rats européens se font exterminer par les rats indigènes.   Dans L’Empreinte à Crusoé où le héros est amnésique, ce n’est pas le navire échoué, mais le courant marin qui transporte les animaux sur l’île déserte. À l’opposée de ceux de Robinson Crusoé et de Vendredi ou les limbes du Pacifique, les animaux allogènes comme le singe et les opossums se mêlent sans difficulté aux espèces indigènes. Cette vision de la nature créolisée, et de la perméabilité du monde extérieur et du monde intérieur, représente, pour reprendre une expression d’Écrire en pays dominé, une « île déserte ouverte » faisant contraste avec l’île déserte en tant qu’ « absolu » de Tournier, qui est complètement séparée du dehors.

過剰整備に対する批判を踏まえ,荒廃箇所の整備上の課題について,大雪山国立公園の登山道整備水準の策定過程に着眼し,登山道整備の理念,計画策定上考慮すべき要素,施工技術上の課題を明らかにした。論議の手順として,検討会の構成,過剰整備という批判の原因への対処,荒廃の原因と対策,登山道の管理水準の設定,路線区分と技術的対応の観点について,合理的妥当性を検討し,荒廃箇所の整備上の課題を総括した。その結果,手順の論理的脈絡の明確化,利用体験の視点の導入,科学的データに基づく判断という点で,策定の道筋を示したことは評価された。

両親媒性分子が形成する二分子膜閉鎖体であるベシクルは,細胞膜の構造との類似性から人工の細胞膜モデルや,ドラッグデリバリーシステム(DDS)における薬物担体としての応用の試みが活発に行われている。また,ベシクルはその内部に水溶性物質を保持可能であり,また二分子膜内部には油溶性物質をも保持(可溶化)可能であることから,最近では香粧品・食品・化成品など幅広い分野への応用も試みられるようになってきている。本稿では,ベシクルの形成条件やその安定性を支配する因子について概説する。さらに,両親媒性分子混合系における分散安定性に優れるベシクル・ニオソームの調製,さらにはベシクルを構造指向剤として利用したナノサイズのシリカ中空粒子の調製法について紹介する。
