地域間の生態的,政治的,経済的,社会的,軍事的な諸要素の相互浸透的な相互作用は地域連環と定義され,在地の遊牧民が地域社会を自ら変容させつつ外的要因を選択的に取り込み,社会の持続性を維持するシステムを生活安全網と定義される。後者の概念はすぐれて地域社会に根ざすものであるが,複雑な地域連環を視野に入れてはじめて理解できるものである。1.遊牧生態系のGIS/RSによる解析:SRTM成果を標高値,DEMから計算された水系網の評価によって,基盤地図データの整備,地理情報の視覚化,自然環境のモデル化,遊牧民研究への応用が可能であることが検証された。2.地域社会の生活質リスクの解明:個々の遊牧社会が直面している問題のうち,家畜の略奪,市場経済化による社会的平準化機構の脆弱化,貧富の格差増幅による地域社会の変質,町場形成による牧野生態の劣化,就学と就労の増加による牧人不足と家計の多角化による家族構造の変化,伝統的政治体系と儀礼体系の変質などが,実証的資料によって明かにされた。3.地方的社会経済の広域的枠組みとその歴史的背景の解明:エチオピアでは,経済自由化によっても,社会的紐帯に制約された皮流通経路は開放されないことが判明した。ジブチのFRUD(ジブチ民族統一回復戦線)結成の背景,ならびに13〜15世紀のスルタン国家アファルに由来するアファル人のアイデンティティが文番資料によって明らかにされた。ケニアの政治的動向を,大統領の権限縮小,地方分権化をめざす現行憲法の見直し問題の経緯,国民投票(2005年11月実施)の選挙区党派別分布,憲法見直し問題とNARCの本格的分裂の3点について分析した結果,政党組織が意見集約機能を喪失して地域化していく過程が明らかとなった。今後の課題として,地域社会の生活安全網と地域連環を統合的に理解できるモデルを精緻化する作業が残されている。

本研究課題では,高血圧ラットSHRの驚愕反応に関する行動的特徴と,その生理学的基礎,特に循環器機能との関連を明らかにすることを目標としている。昨年度に行ったSHRとWKYの驚愕反応と恐怖増強(fear-potentiated startle, FPS)を調べる実験について,追加実験を行って,データを追加した。各セッションの前半と後半の試行とで別個に平均を集計したところ,恐怖条件づけ後24時間では,セッション前半の試行のFPSの指標(%FPS)には有意な系統差はなく,後半でのみ,SHRの%FPSが大きかった。この結果より,SHRの情動的性質について,情動的な興奮性が一般に高まっているというよりはむしろ,情動喚起刺激に対する慣れが遅いと推定できた。この研究成果については平成18年10月に開催された北米神経科学会(米国Atlanta)にて発表するとともに,驚愕反応ならびに恐怖増強の世界的権威Michael Davis教授のラボ(Emory大学)を訪問し,実験手法についてアドバイスを受けた。また,同年11月の日本心理学会においても,SHRの驚愕反応に関する研究成果の発表を行った。今年度には新たな実験も開始した。昨年度からの予備実験の結果を踏まえながら,Davis教授から受けたアドバイスも参考に実験をデザインした。血管拡張薬ヒドララジンの静脈内投与により,血圧の低下したSHRでは,FPSの程度が有意に減少していた。また,少数の個体に対して,別種の降圧剤を投与したところ,同様にFPSが小さくなった。SHRで比較的大きなFPSがみられる生理学的背景として,心臓血管系の高い機能水準が寄与している可能性が示された。この成果は平成19年度の国内外の学会において発表するとともに,論文投稿を準備している。なお,本研究における動物飼育と実験実施にあたっては,東北大学文学研究科心理学研究室の設備を借用した。

Through this focus will be seen how mercantilism has changed in various countries (especially in France and England) and according to policy and era.

経済学における富の概念が、重商主義学説から古典派経済学に至るにつれて、貨幣素材としての貴金属から各種使用価値の堆積へと移ってゆく過程を追う。むろんさほど斬新な試みではない。しかも、富概念の発展と唱えたくとも本質的には変遷であり、学説の系譜と控えようとしても継承関係を明示できない場合が多い。作業としては、諸説の時間的順序に従った羅列だと自称するしかない。それでもこれは、ペティからスミスやリカードに至る古典派経済学形成過程、未だに明確な図式化をできない過程の一側面である。そして、富概念と価値概念がいわば表裏の関係にあるところから、古典派における価値論成立史を、裏面から照射する手がかりにもなる。その程度の意味は持つであろう。

We suggest a few points on mercantilism. First, we should distinguish between the econmic policies and economic ideas of the 17th and 18th centuries. The English economic policies will be understood with relation to the hegemony of Holland and its decline. Second, we will abandon the term 'mercantilism' in the history of economic thought. Instead of it, we propose a new classification of the early history of economic thought, that is, I. a practical economic discourse (from 1600 to 1740), II. protoclassical political economy (R. Cantillon, D. Hume, J. Steuart, A. Smith), III. classical political economy (D. Ricardo, T. R. Malthus, J. S. Mill and so on).

対義関係にあるいくつかの代表的な感性語対(基本感性語)の組合せで他の感性語を表現して,その感性語にあてはまる画像を検索するシステムを提案する.まず,対義関係を利用すると,基本感性語について画像との適合度を対義語対ごとに独立に評価しても,適切な評価が行えることを実験により示した.次に,各対義語対における画像との適合度を結合して対義語対からなる特徴空間(対義語空間)を構築し,検索に利用した.対義語空間における表現を感性語ごとに独立に学習することにより,新たな感性語を追加することが容易になった.また,1つの感性語が複数の異なるイメージを表す場合を考慮して,対義語空間における教師画像群のクラスタリングを導入し,検索結果を改善した.さらに,ユーザによる検索要求の違いに対応するため,システムにフィードバック機構を設け,ユーザの希望する画像を効率的に検索できるようにした.本研究で提案した手法に基づく画像検索システムを構築し,実験によって提案手法の有効性を確かめた.We propose a system for image retrieval using emotional adjectives.The system employs adjectives to represent emotionalfeelings as a combination of basic adjectives, so that the systemis able to accept various kind of adjectives.We adopt pairs of antonym as basic adjectives, and build the feature space consisting of antonymous pairs of adjectives.The system has high extensibility of adjectives since the system can learn each adjective independently.The system also detects clusterscorresponding to each idea at the time of retrieval since oneadjective may express several different ideas. Furthermore, thesystem has feedback mechanism in order to retrieve wanted imagesefficiently. Experimental results show the effectiveness of theproposed system.

The renewable energy laboratory of Kitami Institute of Technology is a facility for the research of space heating, cooling and hot water supply using solar energy and underground water heat by means of a solar system and a heat pump system. Measurements for two types of combination of series-and parallel-solar heat pump systems has been carried out during the last five years. In this study, based on the measured data of the solar heat pump systems, a simulation program is produced to estimate the thermal performance of the systems, and the results calcuated by a personal computer are compared with the experimental results. The correlation between two dimensionless factors of X_H(=COP_<HP>Q_<EMAX>/Q_<TL>) and Y_H(=F_W/F_<WMAX>) can be obtained in order to calculate easily the performance of a stand along heat pump system.

This paper presents a new common-mode stabilization method for a CMOS differential cascode Class-E power amplifier with LC-tank based driver stage. The stabilization method is based on the identification of the poles and zeros of the closed-loop transfer function at a critical node. By adding a series resistor at the common-gate node of the cascode transistor, the right-half-plane poles are moved to the left half plane, improving the common-mode stability. The simulation results show that the new method is an effective way to stabilize the PA.

家庭用冷凍庫で蔬菜類を冷凍保存した場合のビクミンCの経時的変化ならびに色,味,香りの変化について検討した。1.前処理としてのゆでる操作によりビタミンCは10%〜50%減少した。2.冷凍保存中のビタミンCの減少は,比較的緩やかであった。3.非加熱で冷凍保存した場合のビタミンCの減少は著しかった。4.色は,冷凍保存により,ほとんどの緑色の蔬菜で幾分色濃くなったと感じられるものの,加熱直後と大差はなかった。5.味ならびに香りは,さやいんげん,ブロッコリーでは,加熱直後と大差はなかった。

鳥取大学における学力試験を課さない入試区分(AO入試,推薦入試Ⅰ)の合格者に対し,合格直後から入学直前まで,インターネットに接続されたPCを用いて自学自習ができるe-ラーニングを実施させた.合格後と入学後に学力試験の結果から,e-ラーニングの進捗率が高かった者や一定のペースで学習した者の成績は良好であった.また,卒業までの成績追跡の調査で,AO入試,推薦入試Ⅰの合格者は,一般入試合格者と比較して,大学在学中の学業成績や卒業率などに有意差は見られなかった.その結果,e-ラーニングは学習習慣を継続させるために有用なツールで,リメディアル教育として十分に利用可能である例を示した.

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate that a barren parous Thoroughbred mare with lactation induced by hormonal treatment can be introduced to an orphan foal at the same farm and that the mare can become pregnant after the end of the hormonal treatment. An additional purpose was to investigate the changes in the plasma concentrations of prolactin, estradiol-17β, progesterone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone before, during, and after hormonal treatment. The difference in body weight between the adopted foal and the control foals, which were at the same farm and raised by their natural mothers, was 17 kg at 24 weeks old, when the foals were weaned. However, the adopted foal and the control foals had almost the same weight at 35 weeks old and later. The first ovulation after hormonal treatment was confirmed 10 days after the end of hormonal treatment and then the normal estrous cycle resumed. Furthermore, the changes in plasma progesterone, estradiol-17β, follicle-stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone showed regular patterns after the first ovulation. Conception was confirmed in the fifth ovulation. Meanwhile, another study demonstrated that conception was confirmed in the first ovulation after hormonal treatment. The present study is the first to demonstrate the hormonal profiles during and after induction of lactation in a Thoroughbred mare. This approach is useful for solving the economic and epidemic problems of introducing a nurse mare to an orphan foal.
