Mohsペースト(以下,MP)は,悪性腫瘍による皮膚自壊創の症状を緩和させる.MPの使用は患者のQOLを改善させる一方でさまざまな使用障壁が報告され,とくに在宅医療での使用報告は少ない.われわれはガーゼを支持体としてMPを厚さ約1 mmにシート化する工夫により,在宅医療でMP処置を実践している.本報ではその具体例を,訪問診療を受ける乳がん患者への使用を通して報告する.患者の主な症状は滲出液による痒み,臭気,自壊創そのものによる左上腕の動かしにくさであったが,週1回の処置を3回実施した後,いずれの症状も改善した.MPのシート化により,物性変化や正常皮膚への組織障害リスク,処置時間や人員配置といった使用障壁が下がり,MP処置を在宅医療にて開始できた.MPはシート化により,居宅でも初回導入が可能であり,既存の報告と同様に症状を抑える効果が得られる可能性が示唆された.

Background: A large-scale prospective study of the efficacy and safety of warfarin for the treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE) has not been conducted in Japan. Therefore, we conducted a real-world prospective multicenter observational cohort study (AKAFUJI Study; UMIN000014132) to investigate the efficacy and safety of warfarin for VTE.Methods and Results: Between May 2014 and March 2017, 352 patients (mean [±SD] age 67.7±14.8 years; 57% female) with acute symptomatic/asymptomatic VTE were enrolled; 284 were treated with warfarin. The cumulative incidence of recurrent symptomatic VTE was higher in patients without warfarin than in those treated with warfarin (8.7 vs. 2.2 per 100 person-years, respectively; P=0.018). The cumulative incidence of bleeding complications was not significantly different between the 2 groups. The mean prothrombin time-international normalized ratio (PT-INR) during warfarin on-treatment was <1.5 in 180 patients, 1.5–2.5 in 97 patients, and >2.5 in 6 patients. The incidence of bleeding complications was significantly higher in patients with PT-INR >2.5, whereas the incidence of recurrent VTE was not significantly different between the 3 PT-INR groups. The cumulative incidence of recurrent VTE and bleeding complications did not differ significantly among those in whom VTE was provoked by a transient risk factor, was unprovoked, or was associated with cancer.Conclusions: Warfarin therapy with an appropriate PT-INR according to Japanese guidelines is effective without increasing bleeding complications, regardless of patient characteristics.

This paper clarifies the process of the formation of stores on Gabu River after WW II in Naha City, the actual conditions before and after redevelopment, and examines the characteristics of transformation from temporary buildings into permanent stores.There were many rights holders, the size of the buildings varies depending on the location and type of business. In redevelopment, the same parcels of land were converted as before, but some of them expanded. The background is their economic accumulation, and the fact that Naha plunged into economic growth while still operating on a small scale and temporarily is a characteristic.

The purpose of this study is to find the problems caused by the United States military base in Okinawa pref. focusing Allotted Land Law (Wari-ate-tochi Law). This law was enacted in 1951 by the U. S sovereighty. We firstly review the historical process of Allotted Land Law. Secondly investigate the actual conditions in two districts, in Urasoe City. We find that the land-owners have complain on the Allotted land and disagree with lease holders about the use of their lands. As that result, many old houses remain still in the Allotted Land area. We conclude that local and central governments should have responsibility to solve special structural problems caused by the U. S military base. For conversion plan of military bases, the participation and consensus formation of relevant people is essential.

本研究では、戦後の新幹線駅の新設が市区町村人口に与えた個別の処置効果をSynthetic Control Methodにより分析し、以下のことが示された。第一に、新幹線開業の効果は正負が混在する。第二に、処置効果は開業時の人口と正の相関を持つ。第三に、処置効果は経年的に、特に1980年代以降弱まっている。第四に、処置効果は現在の政令指定都市からの距離の増加に対して急激に弱まる傾向にあるが、減少は単調ではない。本研究は、Difference in Differences法や操作変数法によって分析された交通インフラ投資の効果計測に関する研究を補完するものである。

本稿は, 第22回日本科学技術情報センター丹羽賞の授賞式における特別講演の収録である。生物を一つの情報システムと見なし, その仕組みを説く。例えば, 遺伝子でたんぱく質をつくると, 出来たホルモン, 酵素といった「物」自身がすべて情報を持つ。遺伝子は動くことなく, 情報を持った「物」が体中を巡ることにより, 生物のシステムは動く。このような生命科学の視点から, 情報を「心」と「物」とを結びつけるものとして考え直す必要があろうと問題提起する。

本稿では,視聴者によるテレビに対するネガティブな反応全般を「テレビ批判」と定義し,その規定因を検討する。テレビ批判の規定因として「他者がテレビから影響を受ける程度の見積り」と「第三者効果」に注目し,仮説1「テレビが他者に与える影響を高く見積る傾向にある人は,テレビを批判する」,仮説2「他者への見積りが高く,さらに『自分も影響を受けない』と見積る人(=第三者効果傾向の人)は,テレビを批判する」を設定した。20~60代の男女520名を対象にオンライン調査を実施した。分析の結果,因子分析によってテレビに対する批判態度を「危険・下品描写への批判」「報道への批判」「犯罪助長・過激表現への批判」「ドラマへの批判」に分類した。さらに仮説の検証のために相関分析,重回帰分析を行った。結果,他者への見積はすべてのテレビ批判に効果が認められ,仮説1は支持することができる。一方,第三者効果は報道のみに効果が認められたが他の3つの批判との関連は確認できなかったため,仮説2は一部支持という結果になった。しかし,犯罪助長・過激表現への批判には第三者効果と逆の概念であるFirst-person effectが認められた。

本稿の目的は、京都市の小学校で起きたプール事故をめぐる出来事を、遺族とそれを取り巻く人々の実践を中心に記述することを通して、道徳/倫理をめぐる近年の人類学的議論に新たな視座を提示することである。本稿の検討と考察の主軸となるのは、第1に、了解不可能な出来事に一定の意味を与えようとする物語の作用に抗して、事故に関する事実を追求しつづけ、我が子の死をめぐる「なぜ」「どのようにして」という問いを投げかけつづける遺族の実践のもつ意味である。第2に、事故に関する事実の検証や理解をめぐってしばしば立ち現れる、主観性と客観性、あるいは一人称的視点と三人称的視点の対立を調停する、エンパシー的な理解の可能性である。本稿でみるように、事故をめぐる出来事に関わった人々に倫理的応答を要請するものは、亡くなった少女の存在である。遺族をはじめとする人々は、物語の創りだす時間の流れの中に出来事を位置づけるのではなく、あえて「止まった時間」の中に留まり、喪失の痛みとともに生きることで亡き人の呼びかけに応えつづけようとする。このような人々の生のあり方を考察することを通して本稿は、苦悩の経験に意味を与え、混沌にテロスをもたらす物語の作用に注目する道徳/倫理研究の視座を相対化し、物語論に回収されない倫理的な実践の可能性を提示する。

This paper investigates the activities of early Chinese students who were dispatched by the Imperial University of Peking (京師大学堂) to the First High School (第一高等学校) in Japan. It is based on original sources which remain partly unsorted. First, the correspondence between the Late Qing's minister of Education Zhang Baixi (張百煕) and the Imperial University of Peking's Japanese teacher Hattori Unokichi (服部宇之吉) will be analyzed, which reveals details about motives and circumstances of the dispatch project. Secondly, documents preserved at the University of Tokyo show the study life and, in particular, mathematics education offered to the foreign students in the First High School. Thirdly, the contribution of the whole project to the modernization of mathematics, natural science and technology in China will be examined, on the basis of achievements of those students after their return.

Basic assumptions made in the present paper are that a passive sentence be considered to be a marked form as against the corresponding active sentence and that the meaning of a marked sentence can be described on the basis of its unmarked counterpart. In order to elucidate the meaning of passives, it is necessary to clarify what is added to the meaning of an active sentence by passivization. Thus, we must concern ourselves with the question of what motivates passivization, i. e., what the functions of passivization are.Toward that goal, this paper first sets forth the proposal that two types of passives be differentiated: they are here referred to as the ‘promotional passive’ and the ‘demotional passive’, where passivization is motivated by the promotion of a non-subject NP to subject position and the demotion of a subject NP to non-subject position, respectively. It is further argued that the principal motivations for the promotions involved in passivization are the foregrounding of affectivity and the characterization of a certain NP. Hence, two subtypes of the promotional passives are distinguished, the ‘affective passive’ and the ‘predicational passive’. On the other hand, the motivation for demotions lies in the backgrounding of an agent NP.

In June 2019, basal petiole rot of wasabi seedlings with withering symptom was observed in Iwate, Japan. Isolates from diseased tissues were identified as Rhizoctonia solani anastomosis group (AG)-2-1·Subset 2 and AG-2-1·clade HK on the basis of cultural morphology, temperature-dependent growth characteristics, hyphal anastomosis reactions, and DNA sequences of the rDNA-ITS region. Artificial inoculation with three isolates resulted in basal petiole rot and withering of wasabi seedlings. The occurrence of damping-off on wasabi caused by R. solani has been reported in Japan (Suzuki, 1976); however, details of AG and locations were not clarified. Since the AGs of R. solani causing this damping-off were initially found in Japan, we propose to the inclusion of R. solani AG-2-1·Subset 2 and AG-2-1·clade HK as one of the pathogens of the disease.

インド最古の讃歌集『リグヴェーダ』(前1200年頃)のドイツ語全訳計画(ヴィッツェル教授と共編)中,研究代表者の担当分(全体の約半分)について作業した。四年間にリグヴェーダ全10巻を四巻に分けて出版する予定であったが,取り組みの深化,出版社の移転などの事情から,第一巻(I-II)の出版を見るに留まった。第二巻(III-V)は校正中,第三巻(VI-VIII)は原稿作成中であり,全巻完成には3-4年を要する見込みである。研究の基礎作業として『古インドアーリヤ語歴史文法』を英語で作成,間もなく出版される。
