The subject of this paper is to improve on parameterization for conceptual design method of three stage hybrid rocket. Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm (MOGA) is employed to solve multi-disciplinary design exploration of a three-stage launch vehicle concept using a hybrid rocket engine. MOGA which is used as the optimization methods for multi-objective problems utilizes real-number cording and the Pareto ranking method. According to our previous study, the propulsive performance of MOGA's solution was as low as the lower limit of design space. The design space of a conceptual three-stage launch vehicle hybrid rocket engine was reconsidered based on the results of multi-disciplinary design optimization. The design variables of the nozzles were reconsidered by exploring the design space. Specifically, the nozzle expansion ratio was considered as the ratio of the nozzle exit radius to the body radius. In this way, there are no solutions which violate the design constraints about the geometric condition of the nozzle exit. Consequently, the new conceptual design method can effectively explore solutions which have higher propulsive performance than previous method. As the result, the combustion chamber pressure is increased in the first stage. In the second stage, the solutions which are explored, modified parameterization are shown larger thrust level than previously.

本稿の目的は,PC 製品における製品アーキテクチャの変化を検討し,その背後にある企業の組織能力について明らかにすることである.本稿は,1970年代から90年代の米国デスクトップPCを対象にして,アップル(アップル系PC)とマイクロソフト(インテル系PC)のアーキテクチャの違いを観察することにより,従来強調されてきたような組み合わせ能力の巧みさだけではなく,擦り合わせ能力も適切に活用することがPC産業における競争力につながることを明らかにする.

The pharmacological effects of the anesthetic alfaxalone were evaluated after intramuscular (IM) administration to 6 healthy beagle dogs. The dogs received three IM doses each of alfaxalone at increasing dose rates of 5 mg/kg (IM5), 7.5 mg/kg (IM7.5) and 10 mg/kg (IM10) every other day. Anesthetic effect was subjectively evaluated by using an ordinal scoring system to determine the degree of neuro-depression and the quality of anesthetic induction and recovery from anesthesia. Cardiorespiratory variables were measured using noninvasive methods. Alfaxalone administered IM produced dose-dependent neuro-depression and lateral recumbency (i.e., 36 ± 28 min, 87 ± 26 min and 115 ± 29 min after the IM5, IM7.5 and IM10 treatments, respectively). The endotracheal tube was tolerated in all dogs for 46 ± 20 and 58 ± 21 min after the IM7.5 and IM10 treatments, respectively. It was not possible to place endotracheal tubes in 5 of the 6 dogs after the IM5 treatment. Most cardiorespiratory variables remained within clinically acceptable ranges, but hypoxemia was observed by pulse oximetry for 5 to 10 min in two dogs receiving the IM10 treatment. Dose-dependent decreases in rectal temperature, respiratory rate and arterial blood pressure also occurred. The quality of recovery was considered satisfactory in all dogs receiving each treatment; all the dog exhibited transient muscular tremors and staggering gait. In conclusion, IM alfaxalone produced a dose-dependent anesthetic effect with relatively mild cardiorespiratory depression in dogs. However, hypoxemia may occur at higher IM doses of alfaxalone.

Detection of poisonous shellfish, asari and oysters, was carried out by the phenolphthalein reaction, in place of mice test, for two years from January 1950 to December 1951. It was thereby concluded that poisonous shellfish give positive phenolphthalein reaction.

This paper reports experimental results on a surgical grasping forceps that equips a vibration actuator to enhance a tactile perception ability. A short-time exposure of tactile receptors to sub-sensory white-noise vibration is known to improve perception ability. This phenomenon, called stochastic resonance (SR) in the somatosensory system, is expected to enhance the sense of touch when the weak vibration is applied, and thereby improve associated motor skills. To investigate the effect of the noise intensity, a summing network of FitzHugh-Nagumo model neurons was built. The simulation results showed that appropriate noise intensity improves the coherence between the input stimuli and the network response. To confirm the efficacy of the proposed method on the surgical grasping forceps, passive and active sensory tests have been conducted. A lead zirconate titanate (PZT) actuator was attached on the grip of the forceps to generate the physical noise. The experimental results show that the appropriate noise improves the detection capability of the stimuli.

本稿は、強い海外子会社の「強さ」の定義と、強い海外子会社を構築するためのマネジメントについて議論するために、海外子会社のパフォーマンスに関する文献を40 本レビューした。結果、「1) 海外子会社の強さは、財務パフォーマンス、市場パフォーマンス、組織パフォーマンス、ポジションの四つに分けられること」、「2) 海外子会社の強さの要因としては、親会社要因、海外子会社要因、全社要因、現地環境要因、産業要因の五つが挙げられること」「3) 強い海外子会社の構築要因に関する研究はまだ少ないこと」が明らかになった。

Auナノ粒子をHe不活性ガスで搬送し、基板上のレジストホールに対してノズルから高速にAuナノ粒子を堆積させると、ホール底面部のみならず、ホールエッジ部にもAuナノ粒子が堆積しひさしを形成する。このひさしが成膜過程においてホールを狭窄する方向に成長することで自己形成的に錐形状のバンプがホール内に作製される。このときのひさしの成長過程をレジストホール近傍におけるHeガス挙動のシミュレーションと合わせて考察した。また、φ10μmサイズのAu錐形バンプ作製し、対向する基板上のAlもしくはAuパッドにフリップチップ接合し、バンプ接合部の断面SEM観察、ディジーチェーン接続による直列抵抗を評価した。

Der Zusammenbruch des Romans in den zwanziger Jahren dieses Jahrhunderts muß in Bezug auf den Verfall der bürgerlichen Gesellschaft, der durch den ersten Weltkrieg offenbar wurde, betrachtet werden. Natürlich war der Verfall der bürgerlichen Gesellschaft in den Großstädten, die früher industrialisiert waren, am schnellsten. Im Jahre 1910 machten Rilkes "Aufzeichnungen des Malte Laurids Brigge“ Ansätze zu einer Beschreibung des Grosßtadtlebens und enthüllten ihre Anonymität. Aber sie fanden leider keine Nachfolge. Die sozialen Romane Heinrich Manns stellten zwar die Wilhelmische Gesellschaft dar, aber sie ließen die Großstadt als die zu kritisierende Welt in den Hintergrund sinken, weil er diese stark ablehnte. Um den wahrhaftig blutigen Kampf zwischen der Stadt und dem Menschen anzutreffen, mußte man lange warten, bis im Jahre 1925 der New Yorker Roman "Manhattan Transfer“ von John Dos Passos und im Jahre 1929 Alfred Döblins großes Buch "Berlin Alexanderplatz“ erschienen."Berlin Alexanderplatz“ hat den Untertitel "Die Geschichte vom Franz Biberkopf“, der von Döblin erst auf Drängen des Verlegers hinzufügt wurde; das ist ein ironischer Fehler. Denn wenn Döblin die Spur der Schicksale Biberkopfs in Zeitlupe verfolgt, zeigt sich dort nicht die "Geschichte vom Franz Biberkopf“, sondern die groteske Existenz der Großstadt Berlin. Die Großstadt nimmt zunächst Biberkopf ein und laßt ihn erst dann ihr wahres Gesicht sehen, als er schließlich vor ihrer Macht "Ja!“ sagt und niederkniet.In "Berlin Alexanderplatz“ beherrscht Döblin fast alle Stile der Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts: des Expressionismus, des Futurismus, des Dadaismus und des Surrealismus. Seine an Bindewörtern armen Sätze wirken expressionistisch. Das folgende Beispiel dagegen ist dem "Technischen Manifest der Futuristischen Literatur“ treu. Das Geschrei der mißhandelten Mietze, der Freundin Biberkopfs:"Schreien, Schreien unaufhörlich aus ihrem Mund, quallvolles Schreien, gegen das hinter dem Rauch auf dem Bett, eine Schreimauer, Schreilanzen gegen das da, höher hin, Schreisteine……Quellendes Schreien, Schreimassen, gegen das da, keine Zeit, keine Stunde, kein Jahr.“Der nächste Satz, der wahrscheinlich den Geschlechtsakt vertretbar ausdrückt, ist wiederum surrealistisch:"Zauber, Zucken. Der Goldfisch im Becken blitzt. Das Zimmer blinkt, es ist nicht Ackerstraße, kein Haus, keine Schwerkraft, Zentrifugalkraft. Es ist verschwunden, versunken, ausgelöscht die Rotablenkung der kinetischen Gastheorie, die Verwandlung von Wärme in Arbeit, die elektrischen Schwingungen, die Induktionserscheinungen, die Dichtigkeit der Metalle, Flüssigkeiten, der nichtmetallischen festen Körper.“Montage ist ein wichtiges Mittel in diesem Roman. "Berlin Alexanderplatz“ lebt vor allem von der Montage in ihren verschiedenen Formen. Die Photomontage aus Zeitschriftenausschnitten, Reklame, Plakatwänden, amtlichen Publikationen und anderem spielt eine große Rolle, die nackte Wirklichkeit der Großstadt darzustellen.Montierte Sätze aus der Bibel, aus dem klassischen Drama, aus dem Volkslied oder aus dem Schlager verwendet Döblin als Mittel, alltägliches Geschehen und Gedanken in etwas Universales zu verwandeln. Zum Beispiel führt er in der Schilderung von Reinholds Mord an Mietze immer wieder den folgenden Satz aus dem Alten Testament an:"Ein jegliches hat seine Zeit und alles Vornehmen unter dem Himmel hat seine Stunde, ein jegliches hat sein Jahr, geboren werden und sterben, pflanzen und ausrotten, das gepflanzt ist, ein

The G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs) form the largest and the most versatile superfamily that share a seven-transmembrane-spanning architecture. GPCR-signaling is involved in vision, taste, olfaction, sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous functions, metabolism, and immune regulation, indicating that GPCRs are extremely important therapeutic targets for various diseases. Cellular dielectric spectroscopy (CDS) is a novel technology that employs a label-free, real-time and cell-based assay approach for the comprehensive pharmacological evaluation of cells that exogenously or endogenously express GPCRs. Among the biosensors that use CDS technology, the CellKeyTM system not only detects the activation of GPCRs but also distinguishes between signals through different subtypes of the Gα protein (Gs, Gi/o, and Gq). In this review, we discuss the traditional assays and then introduce the principles by which the CellKeyTM system evaluates GPCR activation, followed by a perspective on the advantages and future prospects of this system.

Specimens were electrolyzed by AC with various current waveform (sine wave, square wave and saw-tooth wave) and frequencies (10∼kHz) in NH4OH-NH4F system bath and NaOH-H2O2 system bath at a current density of 2A/dm2 for 30min, at 20°C.The use of a 10Hz square waveform resulted in a formation of a thicker film (5∼6μm) in both the NH4OH-NH4F and NaOH-H2O2 system baths. In the former case (NH4OH-NH4F system bath), film thickness decreased at frequencies above about 200Hz, reaching about 1∼2μm at frequencies above 1kHz. In the latter case (NaOH-H2O2 system bath), film thickness decreased according to increase of frequency, and it was about 0.5∼1μm in thickness at high frequency more than about 500Hz.The films anodized in the NaOH-H2O2 system bath with square current waveform was much rougher than those fromed using with sine or saw-tooth waveforms and larger pores were observed by microscope.Many large pores were observed in the coatings formed at high frequency and those formed in NaOH-H2O2 system bath had larger pores than those fromed in NH4OH-NH4F system bath.

This study illustrates a new strategy to fabricate arbitrary cross-section honeycombs. These types of honeycombs are usually manufactured from normal flat honeycombs by curving or carving, but the proposed method enables us to construct objective shaped honeycombs directly. We first introduce the concept of the kirigami honeycomb, which is made from single flat sheets and has periodical slits resembling kirigami (Japanese art of study folding and cutting). In previous studies, honeycombs having various shapes, including tapered and aerofoil honeycombs, were made using this method, and were realized by only changing folding line diagrams (FLDs). In this study, these 3D kirigami honeycombs are generalized by numerical parameters and fabricated using a newly proposed FLD design method, which enables us to draw the FLD of arbitrary cross-section honeycombs

By folding a thin flat sheet with periodically set slits or punched out portions into the third dimension, ultra-lightweight strong and functional core models are newly devised. The basic idea of this modeling arises from the application of origami technique to engineering. Based on the space filling models, fundamental flat cores and skew type sponge cores have been newly developed. By applying these models, such modified core models as curved cores and 3D honeycomb core are newly devised.

Deoxypheganomycin D, a specific inhibitor of mycobacteria, inhibits the growth in vitro of Mycobacterium smegmatis ATCC 607 (M. 607) bacteriostatically at concentrations as high as 7×10-5M. It shows no cross-resistance to paromomycin, capreomycin, viomycin, streptothricin, kanamycin and streptomycin. Deoxypheganomycin D at 2.8×10-7M where the cell growth of M. 607 is only partially inhibited does not significantly inhibit DNA, RNA or protein synthesis but leads to marked decrease (13 % of control) in [14C]glycerol-derived radioactivity in cell-walls. In the presence of 7×10-6M deoxypheganomycin D, the influx of leucine but not thymidine is affected while the reverse is true with efflux. The data suggest that the effect of deoxypheganomycin D on M. 607 may be related to both the cell membrane and specific mycobacterial lipid like components of the cell-wall.
