The ultrastructural changes with freshness decreasing of pink (P), white (W) and red (R) muscle in cultured carp were investigated during storage in ice in order to evaluate their ultrastructural characteristics and destruction after killing. The contents of ATP-related compounds in the three muscle types were higher in the order of W>P>R, and the increasing of K value was faster in the order of R>P>W. Destruction of zigzag structure of Z line, sarcoplasmic reticulum, and mitochondria was faster in the order of R>P>W. Disappearence of glycogen granule was also faster in the order of R>P>W. These results suggest that the interposition of pink muscle fibers into the dorsal ordinary muscle might accelerate freshness decreasing of fish.

 The capital Kabul is growing at a fast pace than any other city in Afghanistan, it experienced a dramatic expansion over the past decade. The population has increased by almost 10% per year which caused a significant increase in the number of slums, as an unwanted consequence today informal settlements have covered about more than 69% of the city. This paper explains an afghan model of Land Readjustment which applied on an informal settlement area of Kabul with a very minimum compensation and contribution ratio. It appeared more applicable due to the preservation of historical buildings and low destruction cost.

<p>This study investigated university teachers' engagement in students' problems by conducting a free description survey. The relationship between the teachers' personal attributes and their style of involvement with the students were analyzed. Of the 607 teachers surveyed, 207 responded (response rate: 34.1%). Of those, the responses given in the free description column by 78 teachers (12.9%) were coded into eight categories and analyzed, using quantification theory type 3. A scatter plot was formed, based on two axes, "Approach Management" and "Strict Protective." Cluster analysis identified the following clusters: strict relationship, proactive commitment, and situational plasticity. The mean sample scores of each attribute showed gender differences in teachers' engagement only in the "Strict Protective" axes, while other attributes, such as position and length of service, had no significant effect on the style of teachers' engagement with the students.</p>

Background: Because generic medicines reduce the financial burden on patients and medical insurance providers, they become more popular year after year.  However, there are still few reports that analyze the efficacy and safety of generic medicines, especially in terms of their characteristics and side effects.Methods: Paclitaxel is an antineoplastic frequently used with good results in the treatment of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, gastric cancer, and angiosarcoma, but fat solubility is high and various kinds of adverse events, such as myelosuppression and arthralgia, peripheral neuropathy, and alcohol hypersensitivity are known to develop.  We investigated the efficacy, characteristics, and the incidence of adverse events for the generic product of paclitaxel.Results: Differences were found for the generic version in terms of the characteristics and preparation time.Conclusion: The incidence of adverse events was not significant, suggesting that the generic version could be a reasonable substitute.

<p>試験用黒糖製造において,仕上加熱工程と冷却撹拌工程を連続して実施できる,卓上型の黒糖試験製造装置を開発した.この装置は,PC制御されたマイクロヒーターと水道水利用の冷却管を備えた加熱冷却容器,および撹拌トルクを検出できる撹拌装置から構成される.この試験製造装置を用いて黒糖を試作する過程で,冷却撹拌工程の終了時に品温が上昇する現象を見出した.この品温上昇は,温度上昇幅と糖蜜の推定比熱からショ糖の結晶熱が要因と推測された.</p>

新規マクロライド系抗生物質TE-031の体液内濃度測定法について検討した。検定菌としてMicrococcus lutescs ATCC 9341, 検定培地としてHeart infusion agar (栄研; pH8.0) を用いたペーパーディスク法が最適であった。血中濃度測定には, その標準液としてヒトプール血清 (Consera) を, 尿中濃度測定には, メタノール・リン酸塩緩衝液 (メタノール: 0.02Mリン酸塩緩衝液, pH7.4=4:1) と一部には1/15Mリン酸塩緩衝液を, 組織内濃度測定にはメタノール・リン酸塩緩衝液を用いTE-031の定量が可能であった。各サンプルの調製は各々のサンプルに応じた希釈液を用いて行った。また, TE-031ヒト主要代謝物で最も強い抗菌力を有するM-5も上記と同様の方法にてその定量が可能であり, TE-031とほぼ同様の検量線が得られた。TE-031の測定範囲は0.025~100μg/ml (但し1/15Mリン酸塩緩衝液; 0.2~100μg/ml) であった。また, これらbioassay法は高速液体クロマトグラフィー (HPLC) を用いるchemical assay法と良好な相関性を示した。

TE-031のin vitroおよびin vivo抗菌力をErythromycin (EM), Josamycin (JM) および他の抗生剤と比較検討し, 次の結果を得た。1. TE-031は, EMと同様の抗菌スペクトルを有し, 好気性グラム陽性菌, 好気性グラム陰性菌の一部 (B. catarrhalis, N. gonorrhoeu, H. influenzae), 嫌気性菌, L型菌およびマイコプラズマに対して優れた抗菌活性を示した。2. TE-031は臨床分離株388株に対して, EMと同等ないしやや強く, JMより強い抗菌力を示した。3. TE-031はEMと同様H.influenzaeに対して殺菌的に作用した。4. TE-031はマウス実験的全身感染症, 皮下感染症および呼吸器感染症に対してEM, JMよりも優れたin vivo抗菌力を示した。

通年性アレルギー性鼻炎患者211例を対象に, KW-467910mg/日 (KW群) の有効性, 安全性および有用性をoxatomide 60mg/日 (OX群) を対照薬として多施設二重盲検群間比較試験により検討した.最終全般改善度の「改善」以上は, KW群61-6%, OX群57.6%で, 両群間に有意差は認められなかつたが, 同等性の検証を行った結果, KW群はOX群と比較して同等ないしそれ以上と考えられた. 概括安全度の「安全性に問題なし」と評価された症例は, KW群68.0%, OX群61.4%で, 両群間に有意差は認められなかった. 主な副作用症状は両群とも眠気であった. 有用度の「有用」以上は, KW群54.9%, OX群50.5%であり両群間に有意差はなかったが, KW群の方がやや有用率が高かった.以上の成績より, KW-4679は通年性アレルギー性鼻炎に対して, 臨床的に有用性の高い薬剤であると考えられた.

量子情報処理における量子ビット列の状態は密度行列により記述される。本研究では複数の実験で得られた密度行列の集合から異常な行列を検知する問題を扱う。密度行列はその量子的な性質のために揺らぎを内包しており、異常を検知するには異常と揺らぎとを識別する必要がある。従来技術では行列要素の絶対値の変化しか検知できなかったが、本研究では機械学習のスパース正則化を用いて位相変化をも検知できる手法を提案する。
