【要旨】日本脳炎(Japanese encephalitis:以下 JE)は、日本脳炎ウイルス(Japanese encephalitis virus:以下 JEV)の感染によって生じる中枢神経感染症である。JE 患者から急性期に採取された髄液中からでも JEV 遺伝子が検出されることはきわめてまれであるため、JE を正確に診断するためには、急性期に採取された髄液だけでなく、急性期血清と回復期血清(ペア血清)を採取、保管しておくことが重要である。2019 年、2020 年に日本で報告された JE 患者から検出された JEV の遺伝子型はⅠ型であった。JEV Ⅴ型株が近年、中国、韓国で検出されており、日本への侵入に注意を払う必要がある。

本研究の目的は,《体験》(ドイツ語の《Erlebnis》の日本語訳)を自己の哲学の鍵概念としているドイツ語圏の哲学者たちが用いる《体験》という語の哲学的意味を明らかにし,日本の質的看護研究において使用する「体験」と「経験」を考察することである。 Dilthey,Husserl,Heidegger,Shütz,Gadamerの文献を検討した結果,質的看護研究が追究しようとする《体験》の多くは,Diltheyがいうところの〈心的生〉であり,かつ研究の対象となる患者・家族や看護師が,自らの体験を反省的な眼差しによってとらえなおした〈有意味な体験〉であると考えられた。さらに,そうした研究は,その理論的基盤をDiltheyからHusserl,Heidegger,Shütz,Gadamerに引き継がれてきた生の哲学や解釈学に置いていることが示唆された。

This paper analyzes the question “How can we give feedback on learning assessment to promote learners’ active learning?” based on the results of class practice. In this class, we designed and implemented a system that allows learners to check the results of their assessments online. In this paper, we analyzed the impact of visualization and sharing of assessments on learning behavior from the perspective of self-regulated learning and engagement, based on online logs of learning behavior, records of assignment submissions, assessment records of learning behavior and assignments, and responses to a questionnaire survey by learners. The results suggest that students’ learning behaviors are characterized by their goals and types of self-regulation, and that the visualization and sharing of assessments leads to the maintenance of motivation and proactive learning planning.

About forty years ago, Edgar Wickberg, in his pioneering and seminal work on the nineteenth-century Philippines, established how the Chinese had emerged as a commercially powerful foreign group in a Spanish colonial setting, while the Chinese mestizos had risen as a “special kind of Filipino” to support Philippine national awakening toward the turn of the century. Recently, scholars such as Richard T. Chu have questioned the identity of the Chinese mestizo as a “special kind of Filipino.” Chu argues that Chinese mestizos at the turn of the century had multiple, fluid, and ambiguous identities and cannot be said to have had a simple Filipino identity. He concludes that the Filipino identity as a nation was only established definitely after 1910. This paper identifies some of the particular historical factors that brought about the social rise of the Chinese mestizo as an uniquely Spanish colonial being distinct from the “chhut-sì-á” or “tsut-sia” of later years. This paper also shows that the “Chinese mestizos” Wickberg had in mind were not the same “Chinese mestizos” that Chu deals in his recent works, and suggests that the study of overseas Chinese or Chinese overseas can be relevant to Southeast Asian Studies only when it is placed in a historical context and perspective.

食酢は食後血糖値の上昇を抑制すると言われている.一方,食後血糖曲線は同一食品をほぼ同一条件で摂取しても個人差が非常に大きい.そこで健常な21歳の女子大学生13名を対象に,糖質を50 gに統一した検査食に食酢を組合せ,簡易型自己血糖測定器で食後の血糖値を経時的に測定し,個人別に食酢の食後血糖上昇抑制効果を検討した.炭水化物単独で摂取するより食酢を組み合わせた方が,食後血糖値の上昇は抑制された.米飯摂取後の血糖上昇曲線下面積で順位づけし,2分割とした下位の群を血糖低上昇群,上位の群を血糖高上昇群に分け検討した.血糖低上昇群では食酢の効果は軽度であったが,血糖高上昇群では食酢摂取後の血糖値は有意に低下した.また,食酢の食後血糖上昇抑制効果は10 mlでも認められるが,20 mlの方がより効果的であった.血糖高上昇群に食酢の効果が認められたことから,耐糖能異常に対して食酢が有効である可能性が示唆された.

片側声帯麻痺を呈する症例では,嗄声による会話・歌唱の困難により生活の質が低下する。声帯麻痺は,発症後半年を経過しても回復が得られない場合は治癒する可能性は低く,何らかの手術治療が必要となることがある。現在の医療では声帯可動性を回復させる治療は未だ実用化されていないため,嗄声の改善を目指すのであれば発声時の声帯位置を正中方向へ移動させる手術を行うことにより音声改善を目指すこととなる。片側声帯麻痺に対する手術治療は大きく分けて,披裂軟骨内転術あるいは声帯内方移動術があげられるが,本稿では治療の最適化に関連して,術後成績の評価方法,手術方法の選択基準,各手術方法の具体的な方法について説明する。

柿の実が酒酔いを軽減したり, 悪酔い, 二日酔いに効果のあることは昔から知られていたが, 今回著者は科学的にそれを実証された。さらにアルコールの体内での吸収と代謝機構, 悪酔いと二日酔いの違いとそれの発現機序などについて, 医学, 生化学の立場から最新の知見を述べておられる。是非一読をおすすめしたい。

As people age, geriatric syndromes characterized by frailty significantly impact both clinical practice and public health. Aging weakens people's immune functions, leading to chronic low-grade inflammation that ultimately contributes to the development of frailty. Effectively managing geriatric syndromes and frailty can help alleviate the economic burden of an aging population. This review delves into the intricate relationship among aging, infection-induced inflammation, chronic inflammation, and frailty. In addition, it analyzes various approaches and interventions to address frailty, such as smart rehabilitation programs and stem-cell treatments, offering promising solutions in this new era. Given the importance of this topic, further research into the mechanisms of frailty is crucial. Equally essential is the devising of relevant measures to delay its onset and the formulation of comprehensive clinical, research, and public health strategies to enhance the quality of life for elderly individuals.

In this paper, we propose a new personalization method for a dialogue system using external knowledge and Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs). The proposed system is divided into a personalize-part and a response-generation part with Japanese Transformer model. The personalize-part consists of a learned GCN, which can estimate the user’s interests, and a knowledge graph as external knowledge. The personalize-part can add an appropriate template to the response by Transformer according to the dialogue situation and user’s interests. Estimating a topic interesting for each user, the new system can provide an intimate dialogue reflecting individualized interests. We carried out extensive evaluation experiments, and it has shown that the proposed system exceeds the conventional Transformer dialogue model by 35.6% in the variety of information and by 34.0% in the level of desire to use the system.

The accident between Atago and Seitokumaru has been reproduced using a ship handling simulator and 13 captains of patrol crafts of Japan Coast Guard have observed the target vessel Atago from the view point of Seitokumaru and they have answered a questionnaire on the target vessel in length, the crossing angle between Atago's course and Seitokumaru's course and on a method of a collision avoidance with Atago. Where, the overall length of Atago is 165 meters and the horizontal distance between her two masthead lights is about 10 meters. In order to investigate effects of the arrangement of the masthead lights, the target vessel is replaced by an ordinary cargo vessel which is almost same size of Atago and the same simulation has been conducted. In case of Atago, 10 captains have estimated her length to be at least 50m shorter than the real value and 10 captains have estimated the crossing angle to be at least 35 degrees larger than the real value and 8 captains have selected to pass Atago's bow.In case of the cargo vessel, 3 captains have estimated her length to be at least 50m shorter than the real value and 2 captains have estimated the crossing angle to be at least 35 degrees larger than the real value and 11 captains have selected to pass the stern of the cargo vessel.

本稿の目的は二つである。一つはこれまでの日本における大学組織研究のレビューを行うこと,もう一つはそのレビューを通じて,関連諸学との関係性や,大学組織が持つ組織慣性の点から大学組織研究の展望を行うことである。 大学組織の研究には,考慮すべき前提がある。それは大学組織の複雑性と,大学組織に関連する基礎概念の混用である。前者は大学という組織の目標の曖昧さや,組織の構成員である大学教員が自律性と自由を強く求めることに起因している。後者は大学の管理・運営・経営や,ガバナンス・マネジメント・リーダーシップといった現代の大学組織を取り巻く種々の用語について,必ずしも共通理解が伴っていないことに起因している。 以上の前提を考慮した上で本稿では,大学組織に言及したテキストやリーディングスを対象にレビューを行った。その結果,現状追認型の考察となっていることがあり,不確実な環境の中での大学組織の動態性やダイナミズムが十分に考察されずにいるとの見解に至った。 今後の展望では,第一に関連諸学である教育経営学や組織社会学に注目し,その知見や理論の援用可能性について検討した。第二は組織慣性に注目し,大学組織特有の組織慣性を学術的に見出すことが必要であるとした。それは期せずして,大学の再編・統合・連携や,大学経営における問題など,学術的のみならず高等教育研究に求められる実践的問題の解決にも寄与することが期待できるとした。

本研究の目的は,(a)輪廻転生信念と環境配慮行動の関連,および(b)これらの関連を政 府に対する信頼が調整するかどうかを検証することであった。167 名 (Mage = 46.13 歳, SD = 13.66; men = 73, women = 94) の参加者が,インターネット調査で自記式質問紙に 回答した。階層的重回帰分析の結果,政府に対する信頼の調整効果は確認されなかった ものの,輪廻転生信念と環境配慮行動との間には,有意な正の関連が示された (β= 0.15, p ‹ .001,95% CI [0.03, 0.28])。今後の課題として,より精緻化された手法を通じて,環 境配慮行動と輪廻転生信念のような宗教的信念の関連を明らかにする必要性が論じら れた。
