ペラグラは3D(dementia,diarrhea,dermatitis)と表現され,主としてビタミンの一種であるナイアシン(niacin)の欠乏により発症する疾患で,食糧事情の改善された現在では極めて稀な病態だが,本症例は単純糖質を主とした特殊な偏食による状態で発症した.診断,治療には精神神経症状や消化器症状など全身的な代謝障害の1つに,本症名称の皮膚科疾患が位置づけられていることの認識が重要である.

The resistance and the efficiency of the glottis as the generator of voice production are important factors, but it has been impossible to measure them, because we have no practical measuring method of the subglottic pressure except in the patients with a tracheostoma.The intention of this paper is to offer the measuring method of the subglottic pressure in normal persons and to develop the investigation of the regulation mechanism of voice.The relation between the intraesophageal pressure and the subglottic pressure was examined and a new interruption method was tried.The change of the intraesophageal pressure during the phonation has a close relation with the expiratory level and it is not parallel with subglottic pressure. But both pressures have equal deviations and synchronized changes only in the beginning or the stopping of voice. Van den Berg's intraesophageal method-measuring the pressure deviation at the abrupt stop of voice, with the relaxed diaphragm and thorax and the open glottis-is certified as an almost accurate method. In this method, it is not always easy to swallow the esophageal balloon, and the complicated technique is required.The interruption method-at first devised to measure the alveolar pressure in the respiration- was examined.The examiner let the subject put on a mask, which is airtight and connected with shutter and pneumotachograph. During the phonation, the pressure elevation was produced in the mask by the momentary interruption of the air-flow by means of the shutter. This pressure elevation was equal to the subglottic pressure. This fact was ascertained in the patient with a tracheostoma and the interruption of air-flow gave little effect to the subglottic pressure. This method was painless and easily performed.As is stated, we have two methods concerning the measurement of the subglottic pressure. The interruption method is better for the measurement of the resistance and the efficiency of voice production, and the intraesophageal method is better for the observation of the changes of subglottic pressure in the beginning of phonation or in the production of consonants in which the change of the expiratory level is little.

According to dual process theory, there are two systems in the mind: an intuitive and automatic System 1 and a logical and effortful System 2. While many previous studies about number estimation have focused on simple heuristics and automatic processes, the deliberative System 2 process has not been sufficiently studied. This study focused on the System 2 process for large number estimation. First, we described an estimation process based on participants’ verbal reports. The task, corresponding to the problem-solving process, consisted of creating subgoals, retrieving values, and applying operations. Second, we investigated the influence of such deliberative process by System 2 on intuitive estimation by System 1, using anchoring effects. The results of the experiment showed that the System 2 process could mitigate anchoring effects.

本研究は,日本文学・日本語学分野の学会誌に掲載された論文がその内容に対応する学会発表を経ているか否かを調査し,当該分野の研究における論文と学会発表の関連性を明らかにすることを目的とする. 調査対象は,日本文学・日本語学分野で重要視されている学会誌 9 誌に 2005 年~ 2014 年の 10 年間に掲載された論文 1,958 本である.調査項目は,論文の内容に対応する学会発表の有無,学会発表が確認できた場合は,その学会名,学会発表と論文出版のタイムラグ,の 3 点である. 結果は,対応する学会発表を経た論文は 729 本で全体の 37%であった.その内訳は,論文が掲載された学会誌を出版する学会での発表を経ていたのが 420 本で全体の 21%,論文が掲載されたのと別の学会での発表を経ていたのが 309 本で全体の 16%であった. 全体的な傾向としては,論文出版と学会発表の関連性は低かった.しかし,一部の学会では,学会発表と論文出版の関連性が高い傾向があることが明らかとなった.

(目的)Meniett20Rはメニエール病の携帯型中耳加圧治療器具である,本論文では,本邦で初めてMeniett20Rを薬物療法に抵抗する難治性めまいを反復し,人退院を繰り返す高齢メニエール病患者に対して用い,めまいに対する治療効果を報告した.(方法)対象は,高齢重症メニエール病患者2例であった.Meniett20Rによる治療開始から1年間の経過を評価した.(結果)治療開始からめまい発作消失までは約3カ月であり,めまい係数からいずれも改善と評価された.(結論)Meniett20Rは,鼓室換気チユーブ留置術を必要とするが,めまい制御に対する有効性が期待でき,簡便で安全性が高い.したがって,薬物療法に抵抗する重症メニエール病に対する治療方法の選択肢の一つとなる可能性がある.

Aphasia greatly influences a patient's quality of life (QOL). Recovery from aphasia requires a long time, and improvements in anterior language function can be difficult to achieve. Aphasia is a major obstacle for returning to work and thus can have serious economic consequences.The diagnosis of aphasia requires a qualitative assessment (classification of type of aphasia) and a quantitative judgment (severity assessment). Importantly, the various symptoms that constitute the pathology of aphasia must be understood when making a qualitative assessment. Quantitative assessments must also be evaluable using a systematic objective test.The mainstream of aphasia treatment is the classical stimulus–facilitation method. Recently, a cognitive neuropsychological approach, a pragmatic approach, and Melodic Intonation Therapy have also attracted attention as possible therapies. Furthermore, studies on pharmacotherapy and noninvasive therapy for aphasia are proceeding.The psychosocial study of aphasic persons and their families has become a very important theme. Lately, a depression rating scale and a QOL rating scale for people with aphasia, a family's communication burden scale, and a communication self–efficacy scale have been developed. Clinically, it is important to provide hospitable support to both people with aphasia and their families.

本論文では『初会金剛頂経』降三世品における思想背景を他経典との関連を中心に考察を行った。まず「理趣経」類本との関係を探り、『理趣経』との成立関係についても私見を述べた。次に栂尾祥雲によって指摘されたDevīmāhātmyaとの関係について考察を行った。また両経典において重要となるスンバとニスンバについて、仏典には降三世品以前から既に説かれており、特に「降三世明王の大呪」の前身が『蘇悉地羯羅経』に説かれていることから、栂尾氏が主張するDevīmāhātmyaから降三世品へという成立の順序に対して異見を示した。最後に『金剛手灌頂タントラ』における諸天降伏との関連について考察を行った。降伏のプロセスなど類似している点がある一方、諸尊の数やグループなど、降三世品において発展的に整理が行われていることが理解された。 以上の内容を総じて降三世品の思想背景について考察を行った。

中東呼吸器症候群(Middle East respiratory syndrome:MERS)は,2012年から3年以上,サウジアラビアを中心に患者発生が継続し,2015年8月27日までに,世界26カ国から1,511人の患者が報告されている.アラビア半島以外での患者発生は小規模にとどまっていたが,2015年5~7月に韓国で発生したアウトブレイクでは186人が感染した.MERSは,重症急性呼吸器症候群(severe acute respiratory syndrome:SARS)と比較し,ヒトコブラクダでウイルスが維持されている動物由来感染症であり,同時多発的な国際伝播,航空機内での感染,市中感染などが起こっていないことなどの特徴があり,SARSで2~3とされている基本再生産数は1未満と推定されている.現在,SARSのように大規模で国際的な拡大の予兆は認められていないが,未知なことも多く,今後,ウイルスの変異に伴い,感染性が高まる可能性も否定できない.動物からの感染予防,院内感染対策などを強化するとともに,発生動向の国際的な監視が必要である.

本報告の目的は、強壮剤(精力剤)から見たヘテロセクシュアルな男性身体の分析である。具体的に考えたいのは勃起不全(ED)の男性身体である。あえて本質主義的な表現を使えば、勃起不全は、ヘテロセクシュアルな男性の否定であり、「死」を意味する。この「死」をいかに克服し、蘇ることができるだろうか。その方法のひとつが強壮剤である。強壮剤の分析を通じて、いままで隠蔽されてきた男性身体にあり方に迫りたい。

本研究の目的は,多元的無知の先行因を検討することである。具体的には,「集団メンバーの行動を観察したとき,その行動が彼ら自身の選好と反していると推測する者ほど,却って当該行動の『規範性』を認知し,それに沿って振る舞う」という仮説を検討した。研究1では大学生の時間厳守規範に焦点を当てて通時的調査を行い,仮説に合致する現象を確認した。研究2では,実験室実験によって当該現象の生起プロセスをより精緻に検証した。参加者は5人1組で実験室に入り,2種類の水を試飲して品質の評定を行うという課題をひとりずつ順番に行った。このとき,すべての参加者が,自分は4番目に配置されていると信じており,先行する3人が「不味い」水を「より高品質である」として選択する様子を観察した。結果,「先行の参加者は(前の人に合わせて)個人的選好と反する行動をしている」と推測する者ほど,当該の行動の規範性を知覚しており,それゆえに自らも規範に沿って振る舞う(「不味い」水を選択する)ことが示された。

Changes in the antioxidative activities and contents of sesame lignans and polar components, and in free amino acids of two kinds of sesame seed during germination were investigated. Gold sesame (Turkey), which is marketed as germination sesame, and gomazou, which contains large amounts of sesamin and sesamolin, were used. The sesamin and sesamolin contents of the two kinds of sesame seed during germination didn't decrease by any notable extent, and it is presumed that their physiological functions were retained. The contents of polar components in gold sesame increased during the first 24 hours of germination, but suddenly decreased 48 hours later. Although their contents in gomazou also decreased with germination, more remained than in gold sesame. It is presumed that the changes in DPPH radical-scavenging and SOD activities of both types of sesame seed during germination were both correlated with change in polar components. The organoleptic evaluation produced the highest score for the germinated gold sesame, but the taste score was not correlated with the content of free amino acids. GABA was found to increase during the germination of gomazou.

近年、ハイヒールやミュールの着用により外反母趾や扁平足などの足のトラブルが増えている。本研究はヒト足型の形態的特徴を明らかにするために、82名の女子看護大学生を対象に足型測定器「Foot Grapher」を用い、足型を調査した。その結果、足型からみた足の異常は、中等度5名 (6.1%) 、第5指の浮き指33名 (40.2%) 、鉤足6名 (7.3%) 、扁平足7名 (8.5%) に認められた。上記の4項目のいずれかに該当した女子看護大学生は44名 (53.7%) であり、約半数以上の足に何らかの問題がみられた。

Agathidiini族Besuchetionella属は,ANGELINI and PECK(2000)によって記載された属で,東南アジアから日本にかけて18種が記録されている.今まで琉球からは,Agathidiini族に含まれる属の分布は,Agathidium属とCyrtoplastus属の2属のみが知られていた.今回,著者は琉球からBesuchetionella属の1新種を採集し,本論文においてB. kamiyai(カミヤツブタマキノコムシ)として命名・記載した.本種は,タマキノコムシ亜科の中では世界で最も体が小さい種の一つである.
