The survey on the variety, amount and producing countries of crude drugs for medicinal use was conducted among member companies belonging to Japan Kampo Medicines Manufacturers Association in fiscal 2017 and 2018. The results showed that total amount of use and number of items of crude drugs were 25,326 tons of 263 items in 2017, and 26,391 tons of 264 items in 2018, respectively. Comparing production ratios among countries, Japan, China and the other countries produced 10.0%, 83.2% and 6.8% of total amount of use in 2017, respectively. Similarly, each ratio turned to 10.4%, 83.6% and 6.0% in 2018.

ネットワークで結合された複数の計算機による発想支援用グループウェアGUNGENを開発した.本システムはKJ法と知的生産の技術カードを融合したものである.本システムにおいては参加者が,提案された発想を共用するウィンドウの画面上で類似性によってグループ化し,島を作り,結論を導く.その際に,技術カードシステムに蓄えられたデータを参考にすることが可能となった.

Artificial Insemination by Donor (AID) has been performed in secret in Japan for about 50 years. However, we have recently seen an increasing number of problems regarding the welfare of people conceived through AID. The aim of this paper, which uses a social constructionist approach, is to clarify how these people became “claims-making actors.” By analyzing newspaper articles, it was found that Japanese newspapers forced donor offspring to become “actors” who had to go through the newspapers to claim the right to know their origin. Also, the paper suggests, newspapers in Japan both perform the social function and possess the political power to set agendas for the society as a whole.

Canine hemangiosarcoma (HSA) is one of the most common mesenchymal tumors in dogs. Its high metastatic and growth rates are usually associated with poor prognosis. Neoplastic cells of HSA can show various levels of cellular atypia in the same mass and may consist of various populations at different differentiated stages. Up to present, however, there is no report analyzing their differentiation states by comparing cellular atypia with differentiation-related protein expressions. To evaluate whether cellular atypia can be used as a differentiation marker in HSA, we analyzed correlation between cellular atypia and intensities of CD31 and von Willebrand Factor (vWF) staining in HSA cases. We also compared cellular atypia and expression levels of CD31 and vWF in each growth patterns. Our results show that cellular atypia was negatively correlated to CD31 and vWF expression levels but no significant correlation was found between growth patterns and cellular atypia or CD31 and vWF expression levels. Our study suggests that cellular atypia is useful for identifying differentiation levels in HSA cases. This study also provides useful information to determine differentiation levels of cell populations within HSA based only on morphological analysis, which will aid further HSA research such as identifying undifferentiation markers of endothelial cells or finding undifferentiated cell population in tissue sections.

本稿では,1990年代以降,ボトムアップ型・内発型の農村開発の推進を図ってきたEU・LEADER事業に関する学術研究の展望を行った.これらの研究は,農村開発をめぐるアクター間の権力関係の問題や,効果的なパートナーシップ構築における専門的な支援者の重要性,事業評価を通じた学習やエンパワーメントの重要性を明らかにしている.また,現場の動きを踏まえた理論化を通じて,内発型・外来型の二分論を超えた新内発型農村開発論の提起も行われている.こうした成果は,地域的・制度的な文脈の違いはあるものの,現代の日本の農村においてボトムアップ型・内発型農村開発を進める上での重要な論点を示している.また,現場の動きと社会理論の双方を踏まえて,より精緻な農村開発理論を提示しようとする試みは,農村開発に関わる研究者の研究戦略を考える上でも多くの示唆を与えるものである.

長崎市の斜面市街地は都市基盤の整備の遅れや人口減少など多くの問題が指摘されている.一方,斜面地特有の夜景は長崎の景観資源として位置づけられるなど,今後の長崎市において斜面への対応は重要な課題であろう.そこで本研究では,これまでに策定されてきた一次から四次までの総合計画に着目し,長崎市の斜面に対する捉え方の変遷を整理することを通じて,地形的特徴が総合計画の記述に与えた影響について考察することを目的とする.具体的には,各計画内の斜面に関する記述を全て抽出したうえで,記述の定量的な分析ならびに年代ごとの記述内容の変遷について分析を行った.その結果,長崎市の斜面の記述を構造化でき,斜面の捉え方の変遷から長崎市の総合計画を3つの時期に分けることができた.

This paper aims to clarify characteristics of aesthetic experience of blind people. Aesthetics has long treated the blind as people who have extraordinary ability of sense of touch under the strong influence of Molyneux’s problem. As Derrida advocated, sense of touch has played a fundamental role in the tradition of Western metaphysical thought because it can grasp an essence directly without any interference of preconception. This study questions this connection between blind people and sense of touch by conducting field research. The result of interview shows that blind people rather tend to avoid to touch objects by hand so as to follow the code of conduct of sighted people. Instead, they like to use another sense modality such as audition or sense of smell. Of course they sometimes rely on sense of touch too, but the way of using it is completely different from what aesthetics has expected to be. This misunderstanding about blind people was strengthened because aesthetics has referred to them only in the limited context and has paid little attention to their real life. This paper argues the possibility of aesthetical approach to handicapped people and evaluates its significance from the viewpoint of disability studies.

サハリン島(樺太)北部の先住民ニヴフ民族は、第二次世界大戦終了まで一部が旧日本領南樺太の住民だった。彼らはウィルタ民族とともに、日本の行政当局が敷香(現ポロナイスク)に設置した集住地「オタスの杜」の主要な構成員となり、アイヌ民族とは異なった扱いを受けていた。比較的知られたニヴフ人奥田桃太郎とその息子奥田長次の足跡が表すように、日本に「引き揚げ」ずサハリン島にとどまった旧日本領南樺太のニヴフ民族は北部のニヴフ人社会に再統合された。

免疫染色では凍結保存した脂肪組織の脂肪細胞はすべて死亡していることが明らかとなった。脂肪幹細胞についても、生存しているものの、割合は小さかった。さらに、脂肪移植の動物実験において、新鮮脂肪組織の移植と比較して、大きく劣ることがわかった。今回の研究によって、現存する脂肪組織の凍結保存方法では、一定の幹細胞は保存できるものの、脂肪細胞は不可能である。幹細胞についても細胞としての凍結保存に比べて、大きく劣ることが分かった。再生医療の重要な細胞源とされる脂肪組織の利用法の最適化について、新しい知見を与えた。組織としての凍結では効率が悪いため、何らかの方法を開発する必要があることが明らかとなった。

ポーカーや麻雀など上がりの手により得点や勝敗を決定されるゲームでは、誰よりも速く上がりかつ高い得点の手をそろえるという相反する二者の両立をいかに果たすかが課題となる。この実現方法はプレイヤーの性質により大きく左右されるものである。このゲームでは開示される情報 (捨て札や自分の持ち札) がある方向を指し示しており、これをいかにして抽出し活用するかが重要な点である。そのうえでプレイヤーに堅実型や博打型などの性質をうまく利用すれば良い結果が得られることが期待できる。

梅加工品中に含まれる抗酸化・抗変異原活性を有する機能性成分として梅果実成分リオニレシノールの含量を検討し, 以下のような結果を得た.市販の調味梅干のリオニレシノール含量は製品の塩分濃度が低い製品ほどリオニレシノールの含量およびラジカル消去能が低い傾向がみられ, 調味工程における脱塩操作における流出が主たる原因と考えられた.調味梅干製造の漬け込み工程において, 調味液が果肉に浸透する調味の初期においては, 果肉からのリオニレシノールの溶出とその含量の減少に伴うと考えられるラジカル消去能の低下が認められたが, 調味液が浸透する2週目以降においては, リオニレシノール含量, ラジカル消去能共に増加が認められ, 浸透圧による種からのリオニレシノールの再移行が生じたと考えられた.以上の結果より, 調味液に添加が不可能なリオニレシノールなどの機能性成分の調味行程における低下を防ぎ, 有用成分を多く含む調味梅干を製造するには, 塩濃度を低下させるための過剰な脱塩を避け, 十分な浸透圧を持つ調味液を用いて十分な時間をかけて調味を行うことが必要と考えられた.
