近年、「ハードな土木」に対し、土木政策や事業決定のプロセスなど「ソフトな土木」を解明することも土木史の重要な課題と考えられるようになった。本研究は、日本の高度経済成長の牽引役を果たしてきた高速道路に焦点をあて、欧米で普及しているオーラルヒストリーの手法を用いて、1)関係者がご存命のうちに、話を聞き、整理し、資料として後世に残すこと、2)あわせて土木史研究に適用できる方法論を確立することを目的としている。本研究成果の概要は、次の通りである。本研究は、土木学会土木史研究委員会オーラル・ヒストリー研究小委員会がおこなった。1)インタヴューの実施及び証言記録の作成と保管本研究では、4箇年の研究期間をとおして、戦後の道路行政の黎明期を代表する3人の技術官僚にインタヴューを実施し、証言記録の作成と保管をおこなった。(1)平成14〜15年度は、高橋国一郎氏(元建設省事務次官・元日本道路公団総裁):通算7回(2)平成15〜16年度は、井上孝氏(元建設省事務次官・元参議院議員・元国土庁長官):通算6回*井上氏は平成16年5月以降、体調をくずされ、11月に逝去された。今回のオーラルヒストリー・インタヴューが氏の最後のお仕事になった。(3)平成16〜17年度は、山根孟氏(元建設省道路局長・元本州四国連絡橋公団総裁):通算10回2)土木史研究におけるオーラルヒストリー手法の構築3人のインタヴュー対象者へのインタヴューをとおして、オーラルヒストリーの方法論構築に向けての内容蓄積と検討をおこなった。そして最終年度に、5冊の報告書(「実践編」3冊と「理論編」2冊)を作成した。それぞれのインタヴューは、「実践編」として3冊の速記録にまとめた。また蓄積したオーラルヒストリーの方法論を「総括編」とし、ワン・デイ・セミナー(16年度開催)の速記録とともに、2冊の「理論編」としてまとめた。

浮腫とは,組織間隙(Interstitial space)に生理的な代償能力を越えて過剰な水分の貯留した状態を指し,臨床でもよくみうけられる症状である。しかし,発症の機序をよく理解しないまま慣習的に行われている理学療法に終始し,十分な治療効果を挙げられないことが少なくない。その対策には,なぜ浮腫がおこるのか,どうすれば改善できるのかを解剖・生理学的知見を踏まえ,理学療法における介入方法を構築し直すことが重要であると考える。

本稿は、1935年の天皇機関説事件を契機に近代天皇制と教育との関係に大きな質的転換があったことを、御真影と学校儀式の取り扱いを検討する中で明らかにしようとするものである。具体的には、国立公文書館所蔵の文部省関係資料を再検討するとともに、筆者が調査した府県庁文書をその検討の対象に加え、(1)昭和天皇・皇后御真影下付手続きに関する諸事項とそのとき発覚した御真影汚損の実態とそれに対する府県レベルでの対応、(2)上述の事態を深刻に受け止めた文部省が各府県に係官を派遣し「御真影奉安状況視察」を実施し「奉護」形態状況把握に努め、その上で「行政指導」とでもいう形で御真影「奉護」規程の「統一化」を図ったこと、(3)さらに、1936年以降の文部省は、神社様式奉安殿の普及に努めると共に、「強制」下付という形で高等教育機関から初等教育機関すべてを対象に御真影の「強制」下付を実施するのと同時に、四大節学校儀式挙行を通牒で強制的に推進したことを明らかにした。

経営科学の分野で世界最高峰の学術雑誌であるManagement Science誌(2014年Vol. 3)に仲川の離散最適化に関する新解法の論文が掲載された。最適化の分野での掲載は日本人として40年ぶりである。また、非凸問題が離散最適化解法で容易に解けることを利用して、金融工学の難問やゲノム科学の「次元の呪い」や「失われた遺伝率」と呼ばれよく知られた難問の解決に向けて、すでに顕著な成果が得られている。ゲノム科学の難問の克服は、高血圧、がん、統合失調症等の複雑な病気の治療を大きく前進させる可能性がある。

弱酸性次亜塩素酸水溶液は本来アルカリ性の次亜塩素酸ナトリウムを塩酸でpHを5.5~6.5の弱酸域に調整し,殺菌作用の強い非解離型の次亜塩素酸の比率を増加させたもので,醸造食品の現場において問題となる芽胞菌のBacillus属菌やClostridium属菌に対しても殺菌効果が強い。そこで,著者に実際の食品加工現場における適用事例について解説頂いた。弱酸性次亜塩素酸水溶液は次亜塩素酸ナトリウムよりも低濃度・短時間で殺菌が可能であるために,食品や部材に対するダメージが少なく,塩素臭も低減されるので,これを醸造食品工場において適用し,各種麹の一般細菌を含め特に芽胞菌を低減頂けるならば幸いである。

Delayed sleep phase disorder (DSPD) comprises a persistent or recurrent pattern of sleep disturbances, sleep disruption that leads to insomnia and/or excessive daytime sleepiness, and impaired functioning in social, occupational, or other spheres. Three techniques are typically used to treat DSPD : chronotherapy, phototherapy, and exogenous melatonin administration. Antipsychotics have not been reported in the treatment of DSPD, aripiprazole (APZ), which is a second generation antipsychotic, manifests a novel mechanism of action by serving as a partial agonist of D2 receptors. Depression is reported to be the most common psychopathology associated with DSPD, and APZ is reported to be effective in major depressive disorder as adjunctive therapy. Therefore, we speculated that APZ might be effective to treat DSPD, and we observed how APZ works for the treatment of DSPD.Methods : 18 subjects (including 7 women) who are 14–48–year–old (the average is 31.6) were included. The patients were prescribed 0.75–4.5mg APZ at once a day.Results : We prescribed 1.5–3.0mg/day of APZ, all subject reduced total sleep time (9.6 +/− 2.3h → 7.8 +/− 2.0h, p=0.03), many cases got up earlier (9.1 +/− 1.9h → 6.7 +/− 1.4h, p=0.005) in the morning and advanced their sleep phase within one week. The sleep onset was not significantly changed (23.5 +/− 2.0h → 22.9 +/− 1.9h, n.s.).Conclusion : Low dose of APZ would reduce nocturnal sleep time in the subjects who had prolonged sleep time and DSPD symptoms. The mechanism of action would be dopaminergic up regulation due to dopamine D3 agonistic activity. Since it is difficult for physicians to treat prolonged sleep time and DSPD symptoms, this medication would become a new therapeutic tool for these patients.

The construction of Meiji Kyuden (the Imperial Palace) was commenced in 1883 and completed in 1888. The Bureau of the Imperial Palace Construction was the largest system of constructions in Meiji Era which was set up in 1882 and employed many engineers. These engineers were constituted writh the engineers of the Department of Public Works and the Imperial Household Agency and the other office. This paper describes on the change of the organigaation, the number of engineers, their past record, their careers in the construction works and considers on the significance which the Imperial Palace Construction had in the process of the development of Meiji Era's architectures.

One-dose packages are useful for managing complicated medication regimens for older patients. We experienced a case of Bayaspirin® tablet 100 mg (BA) and Micardis® tablet 40 mg (Mic 40) that were fused in a one-dose package at the time of medicine reconciliation. To our knowledge, there are no previous reports assessing the quality of these tablets caused by this physical incompatibility. Therefore, we aimed to examine this phenomenon and its impact on the drug compositions, as well as to identify the mechanisms.BA and Mic 40 in one-dose packages were stored at 30℃/75% relative humidity (RH) or 93%RH condition for 1 week. The stability evaluations were performed on appearance change, hardness, content, and dissolution rate. The active ingredients in each tablet were investigated to determine the mechanisms.Mic 40 showed changes in appearance and hardness, while BA showed a changed appearance, and reduced content and dissolution rate. The enteric coatings of BA and the additive in Mic 40 had an influence on the mechanism of incompatibility.Mic 40 contains meglumine, which is hygroscopic and deliquescent. Therefore, meglumine absorbs moisture and becomes a basic solution. Methacrylic acid copolymer LD dissolved in this basic solution results in adhesion with Mic 40 and leads to a decrease in both the content and the dissolution rate in BA. This is the first study to analyze the physical incompatibilities of enteric-coated aspirin tablets with non-coated telmisartan tablets in one-dose packages and provides useful information for clinical practice.

COBAS TaqMan HBV Test (real-time PCR method) is a new method to detect HBV-DNA with higher sensitivity and broader range of quantification than conventional methods. We evaluated HBV-DNA load by COBAS TaqMan HBV Test in comparison with Amplicor HBV Monitor Test in chronic hepatitis B patients undergoing administration of nucleoside analogue. Forty chronic hepatitis B patients were recruited. In 33 patients with less than 2.6 logcopy/mL by Amplicor HBV Monitor, Taq Man HBV Test showed less than 1.8 logcopy/mL of HBV-DNA and no amplified reaction signal in 22 patients, whereas amplified reaction signal was detected in 11 patients (33.3%). COBAS TaqMan HBV Test is more sensitive and preferable for evaluation of HBV viral load in anti viral therapy.

近年,気候変動と犯罪の関連への懸念が増している.本研究では,1967 年から2011 年までの東京都における気温と犯罪件数の関係を調査した.強姦と猥褻が夏季に多いことが判明した.強姦と猥褻の月別犯罪件数比(当該年における1 カ月あたりの平均件数に対する当該月の犯罪件数の比)は,それぞれ冬季,夏季に平均気温の上昇とともに有意に上昇した.気温の上昇は強姦と猥褻のリスクの増加をもたらす可能性があることが示唆された.

脳は複雑なネットワークであり,特性や状態によって変化する動的な存在である。グラフ理論解析により,こうした脳ネットワークを神経生物学的に有意義な,かつ計算の簡単な指標によって特徴づけることが可能である。本稿では,脳の結合データからネットワークを構築する手法に関して議論し,脳機構の機能分離,機能統合,中心性などを定量化するネットワーク指標を説明する。最後に,グラフ理論解析に用いられるツールを紹介する。

日本のジャンケンは,グー(石),チョキ(鋏),パー(紙)の3つの手によるものが一般的であるが,世界には4手以上からなるジャンケンが数多く存在する.しかしその中には明らかに他の手と比べ弱く,使うべきでない手(無駄な手)が含まれるものも多々ある.伊藤らは無駄な手のない4手以上のジャンケン(一般化ジャンケン)について有向グラフとしての特徴づけを行った.本研究では,一般化ジャンケンを2人ゼロ和ゲームとして定式化し,最適混合戦略の観点から一般化ジャンケンについて考察を行う.伊藤らの定めた無駄な手のないジャンケンであっても, 戦略的には無駄な手が存在し得ること, 戦略的に無駄な手が存在しないジャンケンは必ず奇数手からなることを示す.

Objectives: There are several recommendations on the prevention of hypothermia during snow shoveling. However, there seemed to be insufficient evidence supporting these recommendations because they are not based on data from actual snow shoveling research. The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in brain temperature (tympanic temperature) and visceral temperature (rectal temperature) during snow shoveling among healthy young males. Methods: Eight healthy young males (age, 23.6 ± 2.4 years; weight, 69.7 ± 6.1 kg; height, 172.8 ± 7.3 cm) performed snow shoveling with an ordinary-size shovel for 15 min at their own pace in a rural snowfall area in December, 2009. Rectal temperature (Tre) and tympanic temperature (Tty) were measured 5 times (at rest, 5th (Ex5), 10th (Ex10), and 15th (Ex15) minute of snow shoveling; and 5th (Rec5) minute of recovery phase). The room temperature was 18.6 ± 0.7°C and the atmospheric temperature was 3.8 ± 2.6°C. Results: Tre continued to increase from at rest to Ex15. Tre at Ex15 (37.7 ± 0.3°C) was significantly higher (p < 0.05) than that at rest (37.2 ± 0.3°C). Tty at rest (36.7 ± 0.2°C) and Tty at Ex5 (36.6 ± 0.3°C) decreased significantly (p < 0.05) at Ex10 (36.2 ± 0.6°C). A significant negative correlation between changes in Tre and Tty were observed during snow shoveling (r = -0.49, p < 0.05). Conclusion: Discrepancy between changes in brain temperature (tympanic temperature) and visceral temperature (rectal temperature) should be taken into consideration in the prevention of disease development during snow shoveling in a cold environment.
