本研究は,ニホンツキノワグマ(Ursus thibetanus japonicus,以下ツキノワグマと略す)による針葉樹幹の摂食量と,他の食物の摂食量との関係ならびにツキノワグマの栄養状態の年次変動を把握することにより,クマハギ被害の発生原因を食物環境面から解明し,さらに被害防除に向けた施策を提案することを目的とした.ツキノワグマの糞内容物分析の結果,クマハギ被害の指標となる針葉樹幹の重量割合は,1998年より1999年および2000年の方が有意に高く(p<0.05),逆にツキノワグマの重要な食物種の一つであるウワミズザクラ(Prunus grayana)の果実の重量割合は,1999年および2000年より1998年の方が有意に高かった(p<0.05).また,ツキノワグマの血液学的検査の結果,1999年および2000年より1998年の方が,血中尿素濃度は低い傾向にあり,血中ヘモグロビン濃度は有意に高かった(p<0.05)ことより,1998年はツキノワグマの栄養状態がよかったと考えられる.以上のことから,クマハギ被害は,ツキノワグマの食物量が少なく低栄養の年に発生しやすく,ウワミズザクラの果実の豊凶が被害の発生の指標となる可能性が示唆された.したがって,クマハギ被害は,被害発生時期にツキノワグマの食物量を十分に確保する食物環境を整えることにより,その発生を抑えられる可能性があると考えられた.

宿題を忘れた級友が叱責されるという仮想場面で、小学2、4、6年生の反省の程度を調べた。すべての場面で学年とともに反省の程度が減少した。4、6年生では、叱責に対して反発する子どもよりも萎縮する子どもの方が反省するが、宿題を忘れた理由を聞くと、前者の子どもの反省が促された。教師の機嫌が悪いからと認知する子どもよりも、励ますためと認知する子どもの方が反省するが、理由を聞くと前者の子どもの反省が促された。反発感情と機嫌認知、萎縮感情と励まし認知はそれぞれ反省に対し類似した効果があった。

本研究は、路面電車芝生軌道の多面的な整備効果を実証的に明らかにし、今後の他都市における芝生軌道整備検討の参考に供することを目的とする。本研究は、鹿児島市において整備された延長約2.8_km_のわが国初の本格的な芝生軌道を事例として、その整備効果を多面的に把握することを試みたものである。その結果、軌道面の温度測定によりヒートアイランド現象緩和の効果が、また、騒音レベルの測定により沿線騒音を大きく低減させる効果があることが確認された。さらに、市電利用者や沿線住民等へのアンケート調査により、景観やまちの魅力の向上に寄与していると評価されていることが明らかとなった。近年、まちづくりの中で路面電車を改めて評価する機運が高まり、路面電車の有効活用や高度化への取り組みが増加しているところであるが、本研究により、そのメニューのひとつとして芝生軌道整備が有効であることが実証されたといえる。

According to the guidelines of Japanese Society of Hospital Pharmacists, pharmacists should prepare medicine bags or labels for dispensing injectable medicines. However, it is not easy to establish a new system for printing these bags and labels quickly and efficiently all hospitals. At the moment many hospitals seem to let nurses write the information by hand directly on the transfusion bottles. This involved the risk of serious accidents due to miscommunication between pharmacists and nurses. Because we established a successful advanced system to achieve a maximum output with a minimum effort, its effectiveness is herein reported. We prepared labels using the data of our audit manual for the dispensing of injectable medicines. These labels included essential comments and information for both doctors and nurses. It takes 60-120 minutes to creating labels for 60 to 90 inpatients, while some additional time is needed to double check of the labels. As a result, this system has increased our workload by one and half times. In contrast to our increased workload, clear printed letters and useful comments and information has contributed to a decrease in the workload of the nurses in the ward. This cost effective, efficient system has received high acclaim from the staff members of other departments, and strongly confirms the role of pharmacists as risk managers. We now intend to further improve this system for proper dispensation of injectable medicines more properly and efficiently in the future.

【目的】抗好中球細胞質抗体(ANCA)関連血管炎におけるびまん性肺出血合併例の予後は一般的に不良である.強力な免疫抑制療法が推奨されているが,感染症による死亡が多くみられることから,免疫抑制の程度についてはなお明確な基準はない.肺出血合併ANCA関連血管炎に対し,免疫抑制薬を使用することなく,ステロイド治療に血漿交換(PE)を併用し,その有用性について検討した.【方法】過去10年間に当院で経験したMPO-ANCA型急速進行性腎炎22例中,肺出血を合併した7例(男性2例)を対象とした.全例にPEを施行し,肺出血が改善するまで継続した.全例にステロイドパルスおよび後療法としてステロイド内服治療を行った.【結果】平均年齢は72&plusmn;9歳,入院時MPO-ANCA titer 569&plusmn;581EU,血清Cr 5.7&plusmn;3.3mg/dL,観察期間は34&plusmn;22か月であった.肺出血の初期症状として全例に血痰があり,低酸素血症を伴う強い呼吸困難,急激な貧血の進行,胸部CTにてびまん性間質影を認めた.3例に人工呼吸管理を要した.血痰出現から血漿交換開始までの期間は2.9&plusmn;2.0日,平均3.5&plusmn;1.3回のPEを行った.肺出血は全例治癒し,退院時に人工呼吸や酸素吸入を要する例はなかった.入院時全例に腎機能障害を認め,腎生検を施行した2例はpauci-immune半月体形成性腎炎で,5例が透析を必要とした.そのうち3例は維持透析に移行したが,ほかの例では腎機能の改善を認めた.重篤な感染症は認めず,16か月後に誤嚥性肺炎で失った1例を除き全例生存中である.【まとめ】肺出血合併ANCA関連血管炎は予後不良とされているが,早期診断の上,PEとステロイドの併用療法により予後を改善させ得ると考えられる.

複雑な作業への適用を考え,閉リンク5自由度マスタスレーブマニピュレータの開発を行った.開発した機構の運動学を解き,機構の特徴が腹腔内での作業に適していることを示した.また,その機構の特徴を活かせるバイラテラル制御則を提案し実機により有効性を示した.

<p>A lot of rehabilitation devices for fingers are researched, currently. After leaving a hospital, an intervention by therapists decreases significantly. Therefore, the rehabilitation device is required functions not only the rehabilitation but also the automatic evaluation function. In this study, we aim to develop the finger rehabilitation device for home rehabilitation. Especially, in this report, we propose automatic evaluation system of the finger independent movement. Movements from index finger to little finger, are measured by pressure sensors on the prototype we developed. Measured data are used as time-series signals, states of each finger are quantified by calculating dissimilarities between healthy subject signals and patient signals. Finally, an entire finger movement is quantified by integrating all dissimilarities. From the experiment conducted with hemiplegia patients and healthy subjects, we could show the change of the integrated dissimilarity corresponding to the level of the hemiplegia.</p>

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Setsunan University, offers the Self-improvement and Participatory Career Development Education Program: Internship and Volunteer Training Experience for Pharmacy Students to third-year students. We previously reported that the training experience was effective in cultivating important attributes among students, such as a willingness to learn the aims of pharmacists, an awareness of their own role as healthcare workers, and a desire to reflect on their future careers and lives. A follow-up survey of the participants was carried out three years after the training experience. The questionnaire verified that the training experience affected attendance at subsequent lectures and course determination after graduation. We confirmed the relationship between the participants' degree of satisfaction with the training experience and increased motivation for attending subsequent lectures. Through the training experience, participants discovered future targets and subjects of study. In addition, they became more interested in subsequent classroom lessons and their future. The greater the participants' degree of satisfaction with their training experience, the more interest they took in practical training and future courses. The present study clarified that the training experience was effective in cultivating important attributes such as a willingness to learn and an interest in future courses. Moreover, the training positively affected the course determination after graduation.

We have found the new types of photonic liquid crystal, SmBP_<Iso> Phase, which shows the uniform isotropic iridescent color strongly dependent on the concentration, chirality and temperature for the first time. SmBP_<Iso> has both the finite local order parameter of the helix of the orientation and the smectic layer simultaneously, but spontaneously achieves complete isotropic nature in optical wave-length without any discontinuity in mesoscopic length scales. It was confirmed by visco-elastic measurement that the SmBP_<Iso> should be originated from the anomalous softening of the smectic layers due to the freezing effect on the molecular fluctuation induced by the introduction of the connection of the molecules. We expected that the random distribution of the distinct helix in 3-dimensional space can be stabilized by the apparent elastic long-range interaction "field" produced by the deformation of the smectic order. We have also first recognized two different types of thermodynamic phase transitions among SmBP phases, order-disorder transition for the spatial arrangement of the helix and the transition of the connectivity of smectic layers, which are attributed to the transition of the spatial distribution of the both orders, not belong to the order parameters themselves.

The surfaces of roll material were dulled by Nd-YAG laser machining under some conditions of focal length cooling and number of beams for laser irradiation, and the rolling and sliding wear experiments were made in order to investigate the wear resistance of crater rims formed on the dulled surfaces. Then, the effects of distances from a focusing lens to a roll material, cooling conditions of air and water and combined irradiation of 2 beams on the wear resistance of crater rims were clarified. As a result, it has been found that the condition of 1 beam irradiation, water cooling and appropriate focal length is the best for the wear resistance of crater rims in the present series of experimental conditions.

本稿では、画像をブロック分割し、それぞれのブロックの画像中における独自性の高さを画素値とするレア度画像を提案する。レア度の計算は局所特徴量の発生頻度分布を基として行い、算出に用いる特徴はディジタル画像におけるもっとも原始的なものとして輝度値、勾配強度、最大勾配方向とした。また、レア度情報を用いることによるパターン情報等の教師を必要としない領域分割手法を提案し、3種のレア度画像それぞれにおける領域分割結果について考察する。

かつては大きく重く、長時間持ち運ぶことも苦労だったノート型のパーソナルコンピュータも、ウルトラブック、タブレットPC、スマートフォンになり、常時携帯する道具となってきた。これらの携帯電子機器は、最先端のデバイス開発によって性能を競い合っているが、結局は性能だけでなく、機能そして造形まで画一化してきている。そのため、携製品を薄く軽量に仕上げるための高剛性の素材、良い触感の表面仕上げに加え、差別化された高級感、先進性を表現する加飾技術が必要とされている。実際に製品例を示しながら、携帯電子製品のCMF加飾技術の動向を検証する。
