In The Old Curiosity Shop (1841), Charles Dickens (1812_70) used the same method as he had used in Oliver Twist (1838). He gave a strong impression of goodness to readers by showing the contrast between goodness and evil until the end of the story ; Nell's innocence, purity, beauty, and goodness, became more striking by the grotesqueness of Quilp, the evil.Quilp could scarcely be said to be of any particular trade or calling, though his pursuits are diversified and his occupations numerous. He collects the rents of whole colonies of filthy streets and alleys by the water-side, advances money to the seamen and petty officers of merchant vessels, has a share in the ventures of divers mates of East Indiamen, smokes his smuggled cigars under the very nose of the Custom House, and makes appointments on Change with men in glazed hats and round jackets pretty well every day.Quilp is also a malevolent dwarf who lends money to Nell's grandfather, takes over the Old Curiosity Shop in payment, and then pursues Little Nell and her grandfather when they flee from him. Dickens represented Quilp's appearance: `His head and face were large enough for the body of a giant. His black eyes were restless, sly, and cunning. What added most to the grotesque expression of his face, was a ghastly smile, which revealed the few discoloured fangs that were yet scattered in his mouth, and gave him the aspect of a panting dog.' One can safely state that Dickens created the sadistic Quilp by Punch and Richard III. First, the source of Quilp is, as Paul Schlicke supposes, Punch in Punch and Judy. Quilp who gives a lot of blows to Kit and Tom Scott with hiscudgel and says, `I'll beat you to a pulp, you dogs' in Chapter 6, reminds readers of the destructive power and the sadistic aspect of Punch who hits the characters with his stick and kills Toby, his child, Judy, the doctor, and the Devil. The feature of Punch can be seen in Quilp in his relationship with his wife. The words of Quilp to his wife in Chapter 4 (`Oh you precious darling! Oh you de-licious charmer!') are similar to the words of Punch to his wife (`What a pretty creature! Isn't she a beauty?). Not only the relationship between Quilp and his wife but also the relationship between Quilp and Nell is similar to the relationship between Punch and Judy. Dickens seems to intend to represent a male chauvinis and an obedient woman in the relationship between Quilp and his wife and the relationship between Quilp and Nell. The difference between Judy and Nell is that Judy is killed by Punch while Nell escapes from the menace of Quilp. Richard III is thought to be the other model of Quilp. As Philip Collins describes Quilp as an exultant bourgeois Richard III, there are some common points. The appearance of Richard III overlaps with the appearance of Quilp. Richard III tells us about his appearance, `I, that am curtailed this fain proportion, heated of feature by dissembling Nature, Deform'd, unfinish'd sent before my time Into this breathing world scarce half made up-And that so lamely and unfashionable That dogs bark at me, as I halt by them-', while Dickens represented Quilp as `a dwarf whose head and face are large enough for the body of a giant, whose black eyes are restless, sly, and cunning, and whose finger-nails are crooked, long, and yellow'.Quilp, the hideous dwarf, terrifies and dominates all who come into contact with him. His power of sexual invasion reminds us of Richard's power of sexual invasion. Ann is urged to make a definite decision by Richard III : `Take up the sword again, or take up me'. His persistence wears her down, and she gives in. Quilp admires the sexual attraction of Nell and says, `To be Mrs. Quilp the second, when Mrs. Quilp the first is dead, sweet Nell'. In The Old Curiosity Shop, the bird symbolizes Nell who has escaped from Quilp and dies at the ending ofthe story. Quilp's words, `Wring its neck', show his sadistic aspect. Dickens created the sadistic aspects of Quilp, dexterously making use of the sadistic aspects of Punch and Richard III. The sadistic aspects of Quilp contribute to the emphasis on Nell's femininity. What has to be noticed is that Quilp's death presents a contrast to Nell's death. Quilp's shout in the water is equivalent to Richard's shout, `My kingdom for a horse'. Richard notices that he is trifling before his death, and Quilp's death gives the impression of his pettiness. Nell's death presents a contrast to Quilp's death. The little bird, `the poor slight thing the pressure of a finger would have crushed', symbolizes Nell. It reminds us of the words of Quilp, `Wring its neck'. We can say that Dickens represented the condition of Nell who has been released from the sadistic Quilp by the little bird as a symbol.

The purpouse of this research was investigate effective sport service and future management by an open class,Smile tennis, which is supplied by Japan women's college of P. E.. Especially,it forces on quality of sport service and the way of new club activities support in the future. There are three results from its research. 1. The investigation of tennis lesson program as open class The target market of students was a housewife between thirties and forties.Because the program is opened in the weekday mornings, they were able to make good use of their own time after children go to school. Therefore, the concept of smile tennis can adapt to needs of the target market. 2. The possibility of management and promoting club activities support Smile Tennis can supply high quality service to student, especially 'A course'. A lot of people could take its class again, and its class helps students having good communication. Tennis is not a kind of sport which can play alone, people play tennis with friends. If people enjoy tennis with a companion, it is easy to continue club activity, and it can be higher quality for the formation of sport activity. However, in the case of Smile Tennis, the primary student is a housewife who is a kind of busy for child care,and then it is better to be less strict club activity like Smile Tennis for them. 3. The possibility of high quality service There is one of the advantages for university and people to have open class, because university can have good human, physical and systematic service skills. It is important for university to supply these service skills as open class.

本稿では Robert J. Sampson の集合的効力感に関する理論を検討し,日本の都市において個人レベルの集合的効力感がコミュニティにおける活動意欲を促すのかという点について検証を行った.具体的には名古屋市の6学区における質問紙調査から得られたデータを用い,集合的効力感の規定要因とその効果に関する基礎的な分析を行った.個人レベルの変数や居住学区のダミー変数を含めた重回帰分析を行った結果として,以下の3つの結論を得た.(1)社会的紐帯の豊富さと移動性の低さは集合的効力感を高める.(2)居住学区は集合的効力感に影響を与えている可能性が高い.(3) 個人レベルの変数や居住学区の効果を統制しても,集合的効力感はコミュニティにおける活動意欲に正の効果を持っている.今後の研究の展望として,日本でも集合的効力感が重要な意味を持つ可能性は高く,居住地区間の格差や不平等を解明する際の糸口を提供すると考えられる.

目的 東日本大震災被災地,岩手県陸前高田市において震災後から継続して未来図会議(保健医療福祉包括ケア会議から名称変更)が実施されている。この会議が果たしてきた役割を分析し,今後の災害対応計画への一助とする。<br/>方法 未来図会議創成期の保健医療福祉関係者10人(行政 6 人,行政以外 4 人)への聞取り結果,既存資料による情報収集を基に,経済協力開発機構開発援助委員会(OECD/DAC)による評価 5 項目を用いて分析した。<br/>結果 被災直後,市関係者は支援調整対応に追われ現状確認と情報集約が出来ない状況にあった。元市職員の支援者が調整役となり初回会議が2011年 3 月27日に開催され,参加者は官民区別なく全保健医療福祉関係者とされた。各方面の現状情報共有と支援調整が行われ,5 月には復興に向けた課題共有を開始した。6 月末までほぼ毎週開催され,災害援助法救護班派遣が終了した 7 月より月 1 回の開催となった。参加者はその頃より現地職員を主とし,地元市民団体,外部支援団体となり,中長期的課題共有と対応検討をし続け,現在に至る。<br/> DAC 評価 5 項目別に以下の結果が得られた。①妥当性:被災後の現状把握,情報共有,支援調整の場として機能した。②有効性:行政,民間,支援関係者が共通認識をもち役割を確認し,支援連携を生む機会となった。③効率性:支援の需要と供給のマッチング機会を創出した。知恵が集積され新たな視点や効果的な活動を生み,支援の効率化に貢献した。④インパクト:関係者への知識普及と課題の共通理解を促進した。包括的ニーズ把握が施策化に活かされた。⑤自立発展性:早期からの復興イメージ提示により課題共有がされ,行政・民間双方において復興に関し検討する必要な場として認識されている。<br/>結論 災害時の国際協力では効率的支援と最大限の支援効果を目的とするクラスターアプローチが実施される。専門分野ごとにパートナーシップを構築し支援調整を行うものだが,未来図会議は,緊急期,復旧期においてこのクラスターアプローチの役割を担っていた。復興期以降は全関係者が中長期的課題を共有し検討できる場として役割を担っている。このような未来図会議の取組みは今後の災害対応計画において一つのモデルとなり得る。<br/> 提言として①早期に情報交換の場を立ち上げること,②会議参加者の資格は問わず自由参加とすること,③地元既存組織を含め民間組織との平時からの関係構築,が挙げられた。

Based on the previous research by Yano and Han (2020), this study conducted a pretest for the development of the "School QOL Scale for Children" to evaluate the school life of children and the reliability and the validity of the scale was verified. As a result, 19 items in 4 areas were set by expert consultation regarding the composition of the scale. Regarding the question items, we asked for opinions on the content of the questions to be asked during the pretest for elementary and junior high school students, but there was no particular opinion. The pretest was conducted from February to March 2021 and 140 data were collected from elementary and junior high school students (recovery rate 100%). Of these, 136 data were analyzed, excluding missing values. In the reliability verification of the scale, the Cronbach's α value was calculated using internal consistency. As a result, the α value of the region was 0.645 to 0.842, and the overall α value was 0.890 and α > 0.700, confirming the reliability. Next, as a result of verifying the validity of the construct using SEM, GFI = 0.839, CFI = 0.883, and RMSEA = 0.072, which are not high goodness of fit. In the future, it will be necessary to conduct an unbiased survey of elementary and junior high school students who will be evaluated by the scale and expand the number of data to be analyzed to re-verify the validity of the constructs that could not be obtained in this study.

<p>植物の育種や栽培管理技術の高度化には,植物の成長や環境応答性を定量的に計測し,評価するための技術が求められる.最近では,ICTの目覚ましい発展を背景に,植物の生育特性の計測を高速に行えるフェノタイピング技術の開発研究が盛んに行われている.本研究では,廉価なIoTデバイスに加えて,オープンソースとして提供されている画像処理・解析ライブラリなどを用いることにより,植物の生育情報を自動計測可能な植物フェノタイピングロボットを開発した.本ロボットは,水耕栽培ベッド両側に配置したレール上を走行する構造で,ARマーカを用いてロボットの走行制御と位置認識を行うことにより,植物の生育画像をスケジュールに合わせて自動計測する機能を有している.ホウレンソウを対象に,幼苗定植直後から収穫までの生育画像を毎日4時間毎にロボットに搭載されたRGB-Dカメラで撮影する試験を行い,植物フェノタイピングロボットとしての性能を評価した.その結果,開発したロボットの位置制御性能は3 mm程度であることがわかった.本ロボットを用いて,栽培ベッド全体の画像および深度情報の自動計測を行い,成長予測や生育不良検知などへの応用に対する可能性を示した.</p>

<p>This study, using both the cross-lagged and synchronous effects models, examined the temporal and causal relationships between attachment and other critical psychological variables (loneliness, mental health) in university students under the restrictive conditions of campus activities due to COVID-19. The participants of the analysis were 150 university students (88 males, 62 females) who responded to two web surveys three months apart: one in early May 2020 and the other in late July or early August 2020. The main findings were: (a) AIC and BIC indicated that the cross-lagged effects model fit the data better than the synchronous effects model; (b) attachment anxiety had a negative cross-lagged effect on mental health three months later; and (c) loneliness had a positive cross-lagged effect on attachment avoidance three months later. This study's academic contribution was to extend the previous findings about the interrelationships over time in a potentially attachment-related threat situation, the COVID-19 pandemic, and to clarify whether attachment influences loneliness and mental health in this situation or vice versa.</p>

<p>With the improvement of earthquake resistance and large scale of buildings, the number of cases where it is difficult to fill the form work with conventional slump-managed concrete is increasing. In addition, slump flows 45 cm, 50 cm, 55 cm, and 60 cm have been added due to the JIS (Japanese industrial standard) revision made in March 2019. In the future, it is estimated that the use of slump flow managed concrete will increase. Furthermore, in recent years, new admixtures have been actively developed, and it is necessary to correctly grasp the flow characteristics of concrete using these admixtures from a rheological point of view. It is the cement paste in concrete that is most affected by the flow properties of the admixture. Therefore, it is useful to be able to grasp the flow characteristics of cement paste. </p><p>We have already examined the relationship between the rheology constants obtained from the rheology test and the flow characteristics obtained from the paste flow test, and we proposed a rheology constant estimation method. In this study, we reexamined the rheological constant estimation method based on the correlation analysis findings using the visco-plastic finite element method (FEM). </p><p>First, flow analysis was performed by FEM using any combination of rheological constant and paste density (yield stress: 10 patterns, plastic viscosity: 7 patterns, paste density: 3 patterns, total 210 patterns) as input values. Next, based on the analysis results, the relationship between the paste flow characteristics (flow value, each flow arrival time, flow stop time) and the rheology constant and paste density was examined by correlation analysis. </p><p>As a result, it was found that the yield stress can be estimated by the flow value, and the plastic viscosity can be estimated by the multiple regression equation of the paste density and the 150 mm flow arrival time. </p><p>Furthermore, we proposed a new rheological constant estimation equation using the actual test results of the cement paste for the relationship obtained from the correlation analysis. After that, the rheology constant was estimated from the actual paste flow test results using the rheology constant estimation equation. Finally, a paste flow simulation was performed using the MPS method, which can consider the influence of the flow cone, and it was compared and examined: the actual paste flow test results and MPS analysis results. </p><p>As a result, the actual paste flow test results could be reproduced by MPS analysis, and the validity of the rheological constant equation was confirmed. </p><p></p>

1999年以来、「司法制度改革」が行われている。これは、利用者である国民の視点から、司法の基本的制度を抜本的に見直そうというものであり、裁判制度自体や国民に対する司法サービスの提供など、多くの改革が進められてきた。その中で、いわゆるADR機関や法テラスの創設によって、国民の権利救済機関へのアクセス強化が図られたことは、大いに歓迎するところである。しかし、かねてより司法過疎が問題となっている中で、いわゆる「ゼロワン地域」に対して、いくつかの制度的支援策が講じられてきたが、とくに島嶼を多く抱える地域にあっては、ゼロワン地域の枠からは外れるものの、今なお「司法過疎」の状況にある地域も多く存在している。本資料は、全国の裁判管轄区域毎に居住する人口と、同区域の実務法律家(行政書士)数を集計し、一人の実務法律家が受け持つ担当人口を算出したものである。もとより、実務法律家の活動が、その所属地域を超えて行われていることは承知している。しかし、本資料で集計した数値は、司法過疎地域を抽出するための一応の目安となるのではないかと考えてい。

Build systems are essential tools for developing large software projects. Traditionally, build systems have been designed for high incremental-build performance. However, the longer build times of recent large C++ projects have imposed a requirement on build systems: i.e., unity builds. Unity builds are a build technique for speeding up sequential compilation of many source files by bundling multiple source files into one. Unity builds lead to a significant reduction in build time through removal of redundant parsing of shared header files. However, unity builds have a negative effect on incremental builds because each compiler task gets larger. Our previous study reported existing unity builds overlook many better bundle configurations that improve unity-build performance without increasing the incremental-build time. Motivated by the problem, we present a novel build system for better performance in unity builds. Our build system aims to achieve competitive unity-build performance in full builds with mitigating the negative effect on incremental builds. To accomplish this goal, our build system uses sophisticated bundle strategies developed on the basis of hints extracted from the preprocessed code of each source file. Thanks to the strategies, our build system finds better bundle configurations that improve both of the full-build performance and the incremental-build performance in unity builds. For example, in comparison with the state-of-the-art unity builds of WebKit, our build system improves build performance by 9% in full builds, by 39% in incremental builds, and by 23% in continuous builds that include both types of the builds.
