Recently, much attention has been focused on the syntesis of dehydrooligopeptides (DHP), containing one or more α-dehydroamino acid (DHA) residues, and the correlation between the structure and the bioactivity of DHP. Today, we have a lot of commercial photos, and find out the scene of the city in these photos. We think of these scene as the urban space which consumers like, investigate of the women's magazines from 1960's onward, and show that the scene plays an important role in the magazines. Moreover, this study makes clear the scene of the city by analyzing commercial photos in a popular graphic magazine "Non-no". By using quantification theory, we abstract 2 axis and make clear the structure of the elements. We classify the scene into 7 groups and examine each appearance rate. The result is that consumers have the tendency to like scenes which have well-ordered volume space and humanscale elements, but these scenes don't have the element which represents the human actibities.

This article is intended to give a brief review of synthetic methods of penems, ranging from Woodward's first penem synthesis to the most recent penem synthesis appearing in current papers. The antibacterial in vitro activities of a variety of penem derivatives are also described, together with structure-activity relationships of penems prepared in our laboratories.

<p>水準測量の2000年度平均成果を用いて,外洋に面する全国の沿岸で,東京湾平均海面基準の1998年から2007年までの10年間の平均水位分布を求めた。1969/1972年度平均成果によるものとの大きな違いは,九州沿岸で18~36 cm,四国沿岸で10~24 cm平均水位が高いと見積もられたことである。その結果,北海道を除く九州・四国・本州の沿岸は,10年間の平均水位が空間的にほぼ一様な4つの区間に分けられた。これらの4区間は,平均水位の高い順に,東シナ海・日本海沿岸,潮岬以西の太平洋沿岸,潮岬以東の本州南岸,そして本州東岸である。4つの区間の4つの境界における水位差は,流れが接岸する岬付近に集中して生じていた。北海道沿岸の10年平均水位も,日本海側の方が太平洋側よりも高く,その水位差は流れが接岸する岬付近に集中していた。本州沿岸と北海道沿岸の10年平均水位差は,日本海側,津軽海峡内ともに14 cmであった。本州沿岸と北海道沿岸の水位差は11月がピークとなる季節変動を示すが,津軽海峡周辺の5つの岬を挟む水位差は,津軽海峡通過流・津軽暖流の岬付近での流速の季節変動を反映して,それぞれ異なる季節変動を示していた。九州・四国・本州南岸では,本研究で扱った期間に生じた2回の黒潮の大蛇行開始時に,黒潮の分枝流が潮岬よりも東の岬へ接岸し,潮岬以東の水位が上昇して非大蛇行時よりも高くなった状態が数か月続いていた。その後,黒潮の分枝流が岬から離岸し,潮岬以西の水位が潮岬以東の水位と同じように下がり,非大蛇行時よりも低くなるという変化をしていた。</p>

Recently much attention has been focussed on ene reactions, and their synthetic utility has been increased because of their high regio- and stereospecificity. Ene reaction is based on addition of a compound with electron-deficient multiple bond (an enophile) to an olefin possessing an allylic hydrogen (an ene).Intermolecular ene reactions are classified by functional groups in enophiles. The differences between thermal reactions and Lewis acid catalyzed ones are discussed.Intramolecular ene reactions including metallo-ene systems are reviewd according to the classification (Type I- III) reported by Oppolzer.

Purpose: Chronic diffuse sclerosing osteomyelitis (CDSO) is a non-suppurative inflammatory bone disease diagnosed based on combined clinical, histopathological, and radiological findings. Accurate diagnosis is important since CDSO is more refractory to treatment than suppurative osteomyelitis. The purpose of this study was to determine the diagnostic efficacy of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in the quantitative assessment of CDSO to distinguish it from acute suppurative osteomyelitis (ASO) and chronic suppurative osteomyelitis (CSO) of the mandible.Methods: Using a retrospective cohort study design, we analyzed MRI data of 6 patients with CDSO and 34 patients with ASO and CSO. The mean apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of the three groups (CDSO, ASO, and CSO groups) were calculated, and differences were analyzed using Kruskal–Wallis and post-hoc Mann–Whitney tests with Bonferroni adjustments. We performed a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis to evaluate the ability of the ADC to predict CDSO. P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results: The mean ADCs in the CDSO, ASO, and CSO groups were 1.22 ± 0.04 × 10–3 mm2/s, 1.28 ± 0.08 × 10–3 mm2/s, and 1.06 ± 0.09 × 10–3 mm2/s, respectively. Significant differences were observed between the ASO and CSO groups (P < 0.001) and CSO and CDSO groups (P < 0.01). However, there was no significant difference between the ASO and CDSO groups (P = 0.21). The ROC analysis revealed a cut-off ADC value of 1.19 for distinguishing the CSO group from the CDSO group. Sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and area under the ROC curve were 1.0, 0.92, 0, 95, and 0.94, respectively.Conclusion: The results suggest that ADC may be useful in distinguishing CDSO from mandibular suppurative osteomyelitis.

本研究では,研究代表者がこれまでに開発してきた持ち運び可能な小型の表面プラズモン共鳴(SPR)センサーと研究分担者が見出したエクソソームと人工生体膜の膜融合現象を利用して,呼気中に含まれるエクソソームの膜タンパク質を高感度かつ網羅的に計測することが可能な新規分析法を開発する。また,マスフローコントローラーを備えた呼気凝縮液サンプラーと内在物質を用いた呼気凝縮液の希釈度補正法を開発する。

This account describes the CD exciton chirality method which is useful for determination of absolute stereochemistry of various natural and synthetic chiral compounds. Chiral exciton coupling between two or more chromophores gives rise to two split CD Cotton effects of opposite signs to each other, from the signs of which absolute configuration of chiral compounds is nonempirically determined, if the direction of transition moments in interacting chromophores is known.Applications of this versatile chiroptical method to various organic compounds are exemplified ; in Part II, chiral exciton interaction between different chromophores are discussed.

歯周疾患は歯周病関連細菌が引き起こす感染症疾患であり, 治療法として最も有効なのはブラッシングやスケーリング·ルートプレーニング (SRP) である。特にSRPは歯肉縁下プラークをコントロールする上で重要な位置を占める。しかし, SRPは通常数回に分けて行われ, SRPを終了した部位にまだSRPを行っていない部位から歯周病関連細菌が伝播し, 処置した部位が再細菌感染を起こし, 歯周疾患の再発を招く危険性が考えられる。そこで我々は, 抗菌内服薬としてアジスロマイシンを術前投与することで細菌数を減少させ, 薬剤濃度が維持された状態で, 全顎のSRPを1回で行うone-stage full-mouth SRPを行い, 通法に行なわれる1/3顎ずつのSRPと検出可能な総菌数, 黒色色素産生グラム陰性桿菌数 (BPRs) および各種臨床パラメーターを術後3カ月まで比較検討した。その結果, 総菌数の変化に差は見られなかったが, one-stage full-mouth SRPを行った群ではBPRsが検出されなかったのに対し, 1/3顎ずつのSRPを行った群では術後3カ月以内に検出された。また, 臨床パラメーターは術後3カ月まで, one-stage full-mouth SRPを行った群が1/3顎ずつのSRPを行った群よりも良好な状態を示した。以上の結果から, アジスロマイシンを用いたone-stage full-mouth SRPは臨床的にも細菌学的にも優れた術式であることが示された。

Charlotte Brontëの『ジェーン・エア』(Jane Eyre, 1847)は出版当初から傑作として高く評価された一方, 話の展開が不自然, また主人公Janeの行動が不自然で一貫性がないといった批判がなされてきた. 特に, Janeが一度Rochesterの元を去りながら, ある日突然遠く離れた彼の呼び声を聞き, 彼のもとに戻って結婚するという筋書きには反発が多い. これらの批判はJaneの行動原理が正しく理解されていないことに起因する. 本稿では, Janeの行動原理を分析する手掛かりとして, 第12章で彼女が口にする"power of vision"という表現に注目し, このvisionの力こそがJaneの求めるものであり, Rochesterとの結婚がその願望を充足させるという仮説を立てる. ここでのvisionは従来視覚の意味で捉えられてきたが, 本稿ではこれに留まらず, 予示, 想像という別の解釈を導入する. これにより, Janeの行動は一貫して不思議な予示の力に導かれていること, また, 彼女の成長は作者Charlotte Brontëの想像力の表現の発展と呼応していることが示される. JaneがRochesterと結婚するのは, 彼となら彼女が求めていたvisionの共有が叶うからであり, またそれは, 読者とvisionを共有したいという作者本人の欲求に根差すものである.

<p> 創作ダンスの基本的内容とされる即興表現を、北京林業大学と上海東華大学の初体験の大学生80名4クラスにアクティブ・ラーニングを活用して実施し、その有効性を探る事を目的とする。教材は「幸せ体操、彫刻家、ダイヤモンドウォーク、鏡、群像、新聞紙、英雄、花は咲く」等の典型教材から、筆者が受講生の様子に合わせ取捨選択して行った。1クラスの時間は90–120分とし、レジリアンス尺度と受講生の感想並びに指導者の振返シートから、把握する方法を取った。なお、初心指導者による上海海洋大学生40名への即興表現授業も参考にした。その結果、レジリアンス効果は肯定的な変容が見られた。自由記述からは「初体験、心身の解放、楽しい、自信、自他の新しい面、自分の可能性、大学に入って1番素晴らしい授業」等、前向きに受け止める様子が伺えた。指導の課題としては、振付に慣れている中国学生にとっては初めから即興表現をするのではなく、ある程度やり方が決まっている部分と自由に工夫できる部分を織り交ぜ、他者と関わりながら即興表現に慣れていくやり方がよく、日本の初心者への指導でも同様の観点であった。以上の事より即興表現の有効性が明らかになった。</p>

経済学教育において数学の利用が増加しているいっぽう,経済学部学生の数学の学力にはむしろ低下が見られ,早期に基礎学力の回復と向上のための数学教育が必要である。 そこで,経済学学習に支障をきたす恐れのある数学の学力が十分でない新入生を対象とする入門授業を開講した。入学直後の新入生全員を対象に,数学についてのプレイスメント・テストをおこない,とくに成績下位の学生には受講を強く勧めた。中学高校の教科内容を中心に,努めて経済学からの例題を教材として活用した。また演習と質疑に重点をおくために,大規模人数の講座を避けて複数の講座を開講した。 この授業の効果を3ケ月後に調べると,同一問題についての正解率は着実に向上している。とりわけ成績が下位であった学生において顕著に効果が現れたことからも,早期に学力回復・向上を目的とする数学の講座に効果があると言える。
