治水対策は国が国民に対して備えなければならない必須の最重要施策である。これは国の責任において国民の命と資産を守る安全保障と捉えるべきである。気候変動に関する政府間パネル(IPCC)の第4次報告によれば,気候システムの温暖化には疑う余地がなく,大気や海洋の全球平均温度の上昇,雪氷の広範囲にわたる融解,世界平均海面水位の上昇が観測されていることから今や明白である。このことにより干ばつ,熱波,洪水など極端な気象現象のリスクの増加,水災害の危険性も増大している。台風の大型化,降雨強度の増大などによりこれまで100~200年確率を目指してきた河川でも実際には既に,治水安全度は著しく減じていると言える。さらに,地球温暖化というさらなるリスクの増大を捉えたとき,これまでの計画高水流量という指標に対し行ってきた水災害対策を,超過洪水をも視野に入れて検討する事が求められている。このような状況から超過洪水はもはや起こることが確実であり,これに備えることは予断を許さないところまで来ていると考える。首都圏のように中枢機能が集積している地域では,国家機能の麻療を回避するため,被害の最小化を目指すことが必要である。

Large and prolonged shaking with long-period ground motions having periods of about 7 sec were observed in central Tokyo during the Off Niigata-ken Chuetsu, Japan, M6.8 earthquake on 16 July, 2007. The observed ground motions from a dense nationwide strong motion network (KNET and KiK-net) demonstrate clearly that the long-period ground motions consist of Rayleigh waves, which developed at the northern edge of the Kanto Basin and were induced by conversion from the S waves radiating from the earthquake source. The amplitude and the duration of the long-period surface waves were enhanced dramatically as they propagated in the Kanto Basin, which has a thick cover of sedimentary rocks overlaying rigid bedrock. Observed ground motions of long-period signals at the center of Tokyo from the 2007 Off Niigata-ken Chuetsu event correlated well with observations from the Chuetsu earthquake on 23 Oct. 2004 (<I>M</I> 6.8). By analyzing waveform data from the main shock and aftershocks of the 2007 Off Niigata-ken Chuetsu earthquake and the Chuetsu earthquake in 2004, it is found that the long-period surface wave having a dominant period of about 7 sec at the center of Tokyo is developed efficiently by a large earthquake with a magnitude greater than about M6.5-7, but it is not developed by small earthquakes of less than about <I>M</I>6.5.

In this study, response spectra of long-period earthquake ground motion (approximately from 5 to 15 seconds) at several cities in northern part of Japan due to Nihonkai-chubu Earthquake 1983 are estimated from sloshing height of oil storage tanks and recorded data of acceleration and displacement type strong motion seismographs. Especially in Niigata city which is about 270km away from the epicenter, very high sloshing is observed, from which equivalent velocity response spectrum is predicted to be more than 200 kine for 10 seconds structures with 0.1% damping. Mended and corrected displacement and acceleration. type strong motion seismograms are found to give much higher response spectra than design values for long period (5-10 seconds) structures with 2-5% damping.

We studied the source model and the underground velocity structure model for quantitative estimation of long-period (3-20s) ground motion in the Oita Plain due to a hypothetical Nankai earthquake. First, the deep subsurface velocity structure of the Oita sedimentary basin was validated by a long-period ground motion simulation of the 2000 western Tottori earthquake records. The simulated waveforms reproduced the amplification and duration of the observed waveforms and peak periods of pseudo response spectra at strong motion stations both in and out the Oita Plain reasonably well. Then we combined the subsurface velocity structure with a crustal velocity structure and performed long-period ground motion simulations of a Nankai earthquake by a three-dimensional finite-difference method. The source model has a total area of 34,000 km<SUP>2</SUP> with total seismic moment of 6.24&times;10<SUP>21</SUP> Nm (<I>M</I><SUB>W</SUB> 8.5). In addition to the scenario in which rupture propagates from the east (east-hypo model) that have been generally accepted, we investigated another from the west (west-hypo model). For the east-hypo model, the maximum amplitudes of the simulated horizontal ground motion in the Oita plain was three to four times as large as that on a rock site beside the plain. Especially in the bay area, the maximum ground motion reached 100cm/s and the pseudo velocity response spectra at period 6-8s were more than 400cm/s. On the other hand, the ground motion simulated by the west-hypo model was roughly one fifth smaller than that by the east-hypo model. It is also pointed out that in the east-hypo model simulation, the seismic waves generated by the two asperities near to the Oita plain are enlarged due to the directivity effect and amplified and prolonged by the sedimentary basin structure.

2011年東北地方太平洋沖地震の本震と余震の強震記録を用いて、首都圏および周辺地域に於ける周期2秒以上の地震動特性とサイト増幅特性を評価した。約650点の本震記録を用いたPGVとPGAから地震動が首都圏で複雑な分布を示すこと、擬似速度応答スペクトル分布から川崎~品川付近の東京湾沿岸部で周期2秒と3秒の速度応答が極めて大きいことが分かった。地表/地中の速度応答スペクトル比から算出したサイト増幅特性は、周期3秒以上の地震動に対して震源の位置に依存し、首都圏およびその周辺地域では東北地方の地震よりも長野県北部や静岡県東部の地震による地震動が大きく増幅されることが分かった。

本研究は、中国の日本語専攻大学生の語彙学習の実態を解明することを目的とし、どのような語彙学習方略が使われているか、日本語能力とどのような関連性があるかを検討したものである。語彙学習方略を測定するためのKVLSSを使い、使用頻度に関するアンケート調査を3年間連続で行った。その結果、語彙学習の方略使用における10種類の因子項が見出され、日中同形語に関する中国人学習者の特徴的な学習方略を確認できた。また、因子項の中で、日本語能力に役に立つ可能性がある方略は、「ノートテイキング方略」「同形語の形態意味への注意」「人的リソースの活用」「支援要請」であることが明らかになった。学習者の語彙学習の実態を踏まえ、有効な方略を語彙教育活動に取り入れる必要性が示唆される。

<p> 日本の女子サッカーは、2011年のFIFAワールドカップ優勝により、急激に知名度が高まった。このような競技成績によって急激に注目が集まった結果、少し成績が落ちた現状では、試合の集客やメディアによる情報量も減少している。しかし、女性が競技としてサッカーをプレーすることは、違和感なく受け入れられるようになったと言える。</p><p> 国際的な競技活動を行うためには、国内を統一した競技組織が必要となる。現在、女子サッカーは男子サッカーと同じく、日本サッカー協会の傘下にある。しかし、国内で定期的、継続的に女子の試合が行われるようになった当初は、異なった組織が統括していた時期もある。</p><p> そこで、本研究の目的は、1979年から1989年までの10年間、日本の女子サッカーを統括する役割を担った日本女子サッカー連盟の設立と解散の経緯を明らかにすることである。</p>

長時間運転して疲労を感じている際に,その疲労がさらに大きくなる要因を検討した.ドライバー100名にアンケート調査を行い,高速道路や高速道路走行後の一般道での交通状況等で疲労の蓄積に影響を与える要因を分析した.その結果,5つの因子が抽出された.この因子を基に,ドライバーの感じる疲労のタイプ分類を試みた.

今年、国際政治を舞台にしたTBSドラマ「運命の人」が話題になった。原作は山崎豊子氏。敏腕記者が日米の沖縄返還交渉での密約情報を、外務省の女性事務官から入手するところからドラマが始まる。野党議員に機密文書を託すが、そのネタ元が突き止められてしまう。当初、マスコミ各社は記者を擁護するが、女性事務官と関係があったと追及され、非難の嵐に巻き込まれる。

要旨: 新型コロナウイルス感染症が世界的に拡大する状況下で, 移動や受診に伴う患者の感染リスクおよび対面診療による医療者の感染リスクを軽減する観点からも, 遠隔医療の導入が急速に進みつつある。人工内耳装用者にとって, マッピングや言語訓練のために遠方から受診することが, 患者やその家族に負担となっていたことから, われわれは遠隔地の人工内耳装用者を対象とした遠隔マッピングを行ってきた。遠隔地の装用者には地元の病院や医院を受診し, ビデオチャット用とマッピング用のそれぞれの端末を, 大学病院サイトと遠隔サイトでインターネットを介して結び, 対面式と遜色ない遠隔マッピングを実施できている。これまでのマッピングソフトウェアでは, マップ書き込み数などいくつかの制限があったが, 新たにリリースされた Custom Sound Pro においては問題点が改善されており, さらなる対象拡大と満足度の向上が期待されている。
