A work-family balance scale was developed for middle-aged and elderly individuals. Employed people (N =1,351, 788 men and 563 women; age range, 40 to 85 years; mean age, M = 54.82, SD = 9.86 years) in the seventh study-wave of the National Institute for Longevity Sciences-Longitudinal Study of Aging participated in the study. We hypothesized a four-factor structure consisting of “work-to-family conflict,” “family-to-work conflict,” “work-to-family facilitation,” and “family-to-work facilitation.” An item pool based on previous studies was developed and administered to the participants, and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted on their responses. The results identified 16 items related to work-family balance with a four-factor structure, which supported the hypothesis (GFI = .924, RMSEA = .073). Multiple-group analysis of populations based on age group (middle-aged, elderly) and gender established the configural and measurement invariance of the scale. Moreover, reliability (α = .69―.85) and criterion-related validity were confirmed based on mental health. Furthermore, age (the 40s, 50s, 60s, over 70) and gender differences were partially identified in the four subscales that were developed.

殺虫剤であるクロラントラニリプロールの実態調査を行った.試験溶液は,QuEChERS法を応用した抽出とC18/GC/PSAによる精製により調製し,LC-MS/MSにより測定・定量を行った.8食品で分析法の性能評価(n=5)を行ったところ,回収率は50.2~93.4%, RSDは9.7%以下であった.本分析法を用い,野菜207検体および果実163検体を分析したところ,検出限界(4 ng/g)を超える検体数(検出率)は野菜で17検体(8.2%),果実で2検体(1.2%)であった.なかでもオクラ(10検体中4検体),パプリカ(23検体中4検体)およびトマト(6検体中2検体)の検出率が高く,さらに葉菜類では高濃度に残留している検体があり,最も高濃度の残留が認められたのは国産のみず菜(571 ng/g)であった.また,国産を含めてアジア圏の検体からの検出が大半を占めた.しかし,いずれの検体においても,MRLを超える残留は認められなかったことから,クロラントラニリプロールの適切な使用が伺えた.

フェオホルバイド等クロロフィル分解物の通知試験法の検証と改良を行った.フェオホルバイド等クロロフィル分解物は,環食第九九号(昭和56年5月8日)「フェオホルバイド等クロロフィル分解物を含有するクロレラによる衛生上の危害防止について」において通知試験法が示されているが,複数の問題点が見受けられた.まず,乳鉢を用いた抽出は,長時間均一な力を加え続けることが必要であり,操作性の向上が課題であった.次に,飽和硫酸ナトリウム溶液の調製に用いる試薬により,吸収極大波長が測定波長である667 nmより高波長側にシフトして吸光度が減少し,729 nm付近に新たな吸収を生じることが確認された.この現象により,フェオホルバイド等クロロフィル分解物を過小評価することが確認された.最後に,吸光度測定前の含水ジエチルエーテルを20 mLに定容することが困難であった.上記3点を改良した試験法を検討し,妥当性確認を実施した結果,平均添加回収率82.7%,室内精度5.8%,と良好な結果が得られた.

欧米とほぼ同時期の2000年頃に臨床試験が開始されたロボット手術1), 2) も, わが国においては医療機器に対する薬事法での製造販売承認に時間を要したものの, 2014年12月現在, 200台近いda Vinci®システムが導入され, いよいよ今後の外科系の各領域での普及が期待される. この約15年間で, わが国における低侵襲外科治療は内視鏡外科手術を中心に飛躍的な発展を遂げ, 世界有数の内視鏡外科手術の技術を有する国となっている. このような状況下で, 今後ロボット手術が本邦で普及するにあたっては, ロボット手術のコストに見合う診療報酬を確保できるかという医療制度の問題と, 手術のクオリティを担保する医師の教育・トレーニングが課題となると考えられる. 本稿では, 現在のトレーニングの状況に関して解説する.

今後、ネット世代と称される図書館利用者が増加する。彼らは、インターネット接続可能な携帯電話などの情報端末を用いて、必要なときに必要な情報を入手したり、友人などと連絡をとることを当然のことと考えている。そのような人達が構成するネット社会において図書館はどのような役割を果たすべきであろうか?本稿では、利用者が必要とするときにいつでもどこからでもサービスを提供できる図書館とはどのようなものかを考察する。また、多くの携帯で読み取ることのできる2次元コードを利用した蔵書管理およびそれを利用したサービスを提案することにより、ネット世代向けに有効であろう図書館サービスについても考察する。The number of library patrons who are called "Net Generation" is increasing. They think it is natural to access to the necessary information whenever they need. They always carry PDAs and/or cell phones that are able to connect to the Internet. What role should libraries play in such a network society which consists of such people? This paper discusses what libraries should be like in order to provide services for these people who would ask for help to the libraries whenever they need help. It also proposes and discusses new library services for such people of net-generation by using 2-dimentional code that can be read by most cell phones.

In this study, we investigated the effect of high temperature on spear sprouting and elongation in asparagus to explore new approaches to control the harvest period in asparagus production. Four-year-old rootstocks of ‘UC157’ were grown in chambers in the dark at 30°C (30°C treatment), 34°C (34°C treatment), 38°C (38°C treatment), and 42°C (42°C treatment) for 14 days, and then at 25°C for 18 days. In the 42°C treatment, no spear sprouting was detected, and all rootstocks died. During the high temperature period, the number of sprouted spears was significantly lower in the 38°C treatment than in the 30°C treatment, whereas after the high temperature periods, the number was significantly higher in the 38°C treatment than in the 30°C and 34°C treatments. The total number of sprouted spears during and after the high temperature periods was not significantly different between the 30°C, 34°C, and 38°C treatments. The elongation rate of the spears during the high temperature period was significantly lower in the 38°C treatment than in the 30°C and 34°C treatments, whereas there were no significant differences in the mean spear elongation rate after the three high temperature treatments. These results suggest that a temperature of 38°C can be used to control spear sprouting reversibly by its application and cancellation.

When we review the modern settlements in Hokkaido began in Meiji Era, Tondenhei-muras are considered to be composing the first among the layers of developments. Here we would like to reveal the planning theory of them and evaluate how it worked up to now. By the method of overlay mapping analysis with field survey and reference of documents, we succeed to describe the general spatial model of Tondenhei-mura. Different from the established theory that explains the settlements emphasizing the reasons of national defense, it is made clear that most of settlements were carefully planned rather by rational reasons for cultivating farm fields, managing colonized communities, protecting from the severe climate conditions on topography. The model can be described of the composition of territorial orders of land use, oriented by the axis with the careful setting of central zone, creating spiritual symbol as a Shinto shrine, preparing common property for various purposes and common reservation land.

Calcified tendinitis is a common shoulder disease accompanied with severe pain. We experienced many cases of calcified tendinitis over some short periods in a year. We examined the correlation between the occurrence of calcified tendinitis and seasons. 212 patients (males 72, females 140) with acute calcified tendinitis visited to 12 hospitals during two years (January. 2005-December. 2006) in the Chugoku and Shikoku area were investigated. The average age was 57.1 years old. The day of the 1st medical examination and the numbers of cases were examined. The correlation between the occurrence and 4 seasons (March-May, June-August, September-November, December-February) and the correlation in the occurrences between each areas were statistically analyzed. The correlation between the occurrence and seasons was not seen (Wilcoxon signed-rank test). In winter, the mean value of the number of cases of calcified tendonitis tended to be fewest. There was a strong correlation in occurrence between the Sanyo West and Shikoku Setouchi areas (Spearman correlation coefficient ; 0.53997, P=0.0065). More cases and analysis in various points of view are needed for evidence of the correlation between the occurrence and season.

本研究の目的は,現実適合性が高く信頼性・妥当性を確保した看護学教員ロールモデル行動自己評価尺度を開発することである.尺度の質問項目作成には,質的帰納的研究の成果である学生が知覚する看護学教員のロールモデル行動を示す35カテゴリを基盤として用いた.また,内容的妥当性の検討に向け,専門家会議とパイロットスタディを実施し,その結果に基づき,56質問項目の5段階リカート型尺度「看護学教員ロールモデル行動自己評価尺度(試作版)」を構成した.さらに,この試作版を用いて全国の看護学教員1457名を対象に本調査を実施した.本調査から得た有効回答815部に対する項目分析の結果に基づき35質問項目を選定し「看護学教員ロールモデル行動自己評価尺度」を構成した.自己評価尺度のクロンバックα係数は0.955であり,因子分析の結果は,尺度が質問項目の作成基盤とした35カテゴリを反映していることを示した.これらの結果は,開発した自己評価尺度が信頼性・妥当性を確保していることを示唆した.
