Galvanic Tongue Stimulation is the technology which can enhances the taste sensation. Our previous study has already demonstrated that repetitive square current stimulation enhances salty and umami taste induced by NaCl and glutamic sodium water solution during stimulation. However, it is not clear whether the repetitive square current stimulation is effective or not in other three basic taste i.e., sweetness, sourness, and bitterness. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that repetitive square current stimulation enhances all five basic tastes induced by electrolyte water solutions with psychological method adhering to our previous works.

Background: Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is recognized as a clinical diagnostic marker for cardiometabolic disease. Thicker EAT may be associated with recurrence of ventricular tachycardia after ablation. The association between EAT volume and recurrence of premature ventricular complexes (PVC) following ablation has not been clarified. We investigated the association between EAT volume and PVC recurrence following radiofrequency catheter ablation.Methods and Results: This retrospective study included 401 patients with PVC undergoing catheter ablation with preprocedural non-contrast computed tomography between 2017 and 2022. The impact of EAT volume in predicting PVC recurrence after ablation was analyzed. The mean (±SD) age of patients was 50.2±13.3 years. Multivariable Cox analysis revealed that a large EAT volume was an independent predictor of PVC recurrence after ablation during a median follow-up of 16.3 months. Kaplan-Meier analysis showed a difference in postablation PVC recurrence between the 2 groups dichotomized around the EAT volume cut-off. The risk of recurrence increased with increasing EAT volume according to restricted cubic spline regression. Furthermore, PVC originating from epicardial locations had larger EAT volumes than those originating from the right ventricular outflow tract.Conclusions: A large EAT volume was independently associated with PVC recurrence following ablation. Patients with PVC originating from epicardial sites had large EAT volumes. EAT volume may help stratify patients according to their risk of PVC recurrence after ablation.

リチウム中毒は双極性障害の治療に用いられるが, 有効血中濃度領域は比較的狭く中毒域が近いこと, 多岐にわたる中毒症状が注意点としてあげられる. 今回われわれは, 炭酸リチウム24gを内服し, 意識障害およびQT延長をきたした急性リチウム中毒を経験したので報告する. 症例は26歳女性, 希死念慮を認め, 炭酸リチウム24gを過量服薬した. 意識障害を呈したため当院救急搬送され, 過量服薬後1時間程度で胃洗浄を施行, 心電図で軽度のQT延長を認め, 急性リチウム中毒を疑い, 持続的血液透析を開始した. 開始後, 症状改善し, 血中リチウム濃度の再上昇を認めず, 経過良好にて第7病日に退院となった. リチウムは非常に透析性の高い物質であり, 循環動態が不安定な場合には持続的血液透析が望ましい. 急性中毒に対して早期の血液透析開始により, 血中リチウム濃度を低下させ, 脳内および各組織におけるリチウム濃度の上昇抑制が可能となることが示唆された.

近年、鉄道の駅周辺では、超高層集合住宅を伴う都市再開発事業が多く実施されており、このような都市再開発事業は、コンパクトシティの形成に寄与すると考えられている。しかし、その影響について十分な評価がなされないまま承認されてきた。そこで、本研究では、超高層集合住宅を伴う都市再開発事業がコンパクトシティの形成に与える影響とその効果を検討し、鉄道駅周辺の都市再開発事業の今後のあり方を検討することを目的とする。指標を設定して、その指標に則り、首都圏郊外における超高層集合住宅を伴う都市再開発事業の29事例の評価と、駅周辺の超高層集合住宅居住者へのアンケート調査の結果による評価を実施した。その結果、超高層集合住宅を伴う市街地再開発事業自体のコンパクトシティ形成に対しての影響は、事業により直接もたらされる効果である歩行者環境や交通広場などの整備による効果は大きかったが、駅周辺への人口の集約、生活利便性の向上、地域経済の活性化などについては大きな効果があるとは言い難い結果となった。また、駅近くの超高層集合住宅への転居による効果についても、もとから駅近くに居住していた人が多く、大きな効果はなく、かつ効果があったものも、超高層集合住宅という住宅の形態ではなく、駅の近くという場所の特性による効果であったと考えられる。

This study evaluates three bioethanol production pathways that are composed by saccarification and fermentation process (SFP), gasification and chemical synthesis process (GCP), gasification and biosynthesis process (GBP). These pathways are designed by process simulator PRO/II, and these material and energy balances are calculated. From the simulation results, the CO2 emission reduction of each process is evaluated. It becomes clear that the CO2 emission reduction of the process via syngas is larger than that of the process via sugars. The ethanol yield of GBP is the maximum, and GBP can support oneself a power and thermal energy in the process. In three processes, therefore, the CO2 emission reduction of GBP is the largest. The ethanol yield of SFP and GCP is almost the same. Because the residue including lignin contains moisture, the thermal energy from which SFP can be recovered is not large. On the other hand, GCP can use the thermal energy generated by chemical synthesis for the power production. It is indicated that GCP has the possibility of increasing the CO2 emission reduction more than SFP.

To investigate the practicality of using own-rooted trees in pot culture, the growth, yield, and fruit quality of pot-planted ‘Irwin’ mango trees, propagated by air layering versus grafting, over an 11-year period after planting were measured. The trunk diameter of the own-rooted trees propagated by air layering was significantly smaller than that of the grafted trees propagated by conventional methods until six years of age, after which there was no significant difference between the two tree types. The trunk diameter of the own-rooted trees was significantly greater than that of the scion diameter of the grafted trees after seven years of age. The total length of green branches was significantly longer in the own-rooted trees than in the grafted trees after nine years, and the number of leaves was significantly greater on the own-rooted trees than the grafted trees after six years. The height of the own-rooted trees was 35 cm shorter than that of the grafted trees. The fresh and dry weights of the leaves, green branches, thick branches, scaffold branches, and fine roots of the own-rooted trees were significantly greater than those of the grafted trees. However, the fresh and dry weights of the trunks and thick roots of the own-rooted trees were significantly smaller than those of the grafted trees. The weights (fresh and dry) of the aboveground parts of whole own-rooted trees were significantly greater than those of the grafted trees, but the weights of the underground parts did not differ significantly between the two tree types. The T-R ratio (the weight of the aboveground part of the tree excluding the leaves/the weight of the underground part of the tree) of the own-rooted trees was significantly greater than that of the grafted trees. The yield per tree of the own-rooted trees was significantly lower than that of the grafted trees for two years after fruiting; however, this difference resolved after 10 years. The average yield per unit land area over nine years was 2.46 kg·m−2 for own-rooted trees and 2.32 kg·m−2 for grafted trees. The numbers of fruits per tree did not differ significantly between tree types, except during years 4 and 5. The average fruit weight did not differ significantly between the tree types up to nine years, with one exception in year 5. However, the average fruit weight of the own-rooted trees was significantly greater than that of the grafted trees after 10 years. Fruit quality did not differ significantly between the two tree types. Since the height of the own-rooted trees was shorter, and their growth and yield were equal or greater than those of the grafted trees, pot culture using own-rooted trees of ‘Irwin’ mango appears to be highly beneficial.

Three rose varieties, ‘Meivildo’, ‘Meikatana’, and ‘Korcut0122’ were grown using an “arching” method for three years. The relationship between temperature and light intensity, and the yield and quality of cut flowers, were analyzed. Flowering flushes were observed 18 times in ‘Meivildo’ and ‘Meikatana’ and 16 times in ‘Korcut0122’ during the experimental period. In three varieties, significant negative linear regressions between the interval of flowering flush (growth period, GP) and the mean temperature per GP were observed. Significant positive correlations and linear regression were observed between the number of cut flowers per plant and the mean temperature in ‘Meivildo’ and ‘Meikatana’, and the total light integral per GP (TLI) in ‘Korcut0122’. In three varieties, significant positive correlations and linear regressions were observed between the total cut flower weight per plant, and the mean daily light integral per GP (DLI) and TLI. Highly significant positive correlations and linear regressions were observed between the daily gain in flower weight (DGW) of cut flowers per plant (the total cut flower weight divided by the number of days of GP) and the mean DLI in all three varieties. In ‘Meivildo’ and ‘Meikatana’, cut flower weight per stem had significant negative correlations and linear regression with mean temperature and positive ones with TLI, while ‘Korcut0122’ showed no significant correlation with the three environmental factors. Significant positive correlations and linear regressions existed between the specific cut flower weight (the cut flower weight per stem length) and TLI in all three varieties, and negative ones existed between the specific cut flower weight and mean temperature in ‘Meivildo’ and ‘Meikatana’. The relationship between the results in this experiment and previous reports on the relation between the environment and cut flower yield quality are discussed. Finally, we present the significance of the method used in this experiment for 1) prediction of flowering and shipping of cut flowers, 2) evaluation of differences in characteristics among the rose varieties, and 3) contribution to the development of a growth model.

本研究の目的は,離別母子世帯における非同居父と子との交流が子にどのような影響を及ぼすのか,を検討することである.無作為抽出にもとづく確率標本データを用いて,中学校3 年生の子のいる母子世帯について,非同居父と子との会話頻度,非同居父から子へのサポートが子の自己肯定感に及ぼす影響を計量的に検討した.会話頻度,サポートどちらの項目も欠損値が過半数を占めていたが,欠損値を含めておこなった分析,欠損値を示したデータを除外して無回答傾向を統制しておこなった分析,いずれにおいても女子においては父と「友達のこと」について会話する頻度が高いほど,また父が「自分のことをわかっている」と思えるほど,有意に自己肯定感が高い傾向が示された.ただし,以上の傾向は男子には示されなかった.非同居父は女子に対して表出的なサポートの提供者として少なからぬ役割を有し ているように思われる.このことは,非同居父と子との関係の継続が子どもにとって利益となる可能性を示している.

Lake Ogawara is located in the eastern part of Aomori Prefecture, north Japan. The authors obtained the Holocene lake sediments by all-cored borings at two sites of lake-side lowland, and presumed the Holocene water level changes of Lake Ogawara through diatom analysis of the sediments. At the Loc. A near the Chushi (I) shell-mound site formed early to middle Jomon period, the succession of three diatom zones can be subdivided. Zone I (-1.8_??_+1.0m); marine species constitute about 90%, and Paralia sulucata, Diploneis smithii are dominant. Zone II (+1.0_??_+2.6m); the rate of marine species decreases from lower to upper horizon, and Cyclotella striata v. subsalina, which lives in brackish lagoon, is dominant. Zone III (+2.6_??_+5.0m); fresh water species accounts for more than 90%, and marine species cannot be observed. Navicura radiosa, Fragilaria construens and Eunotia veneris are dominant. At the Loc. B near Futatsumori shell-mound site formed early to middle Jomon period, the succession of three diatom zone can be subdivided. Zone I (-0.5_??_-0.0m); Cyclotella striata v. subsalina accounts for about 50%. Zone II (0.0_??_+3.0m); fresh water species constitute more than 90%. Navicula radiosa, Melosira ambigua, which live in fresh-water pond, are dominant. Zone III (+3.0_??_+5.0m); fresh water species constitute more than 90%. But Eunotia veneris, which lives in a boggy environment, is dominant. On the basis of the result of diatom analysis, 14C date and tephrochronology, water level of Lake Ogawara was 2m higher than that of present about 4, 500_??_5, 000 y. 8. P., and it had lowered to the same level as present till 3, 500 y. B. P.. Since then water level has been stable.

本稿は,2022年2月24日に開始されたロシアによるウクライナ侵攻について,間メディア社会における「言語戦争」という側面から分析をおこなう.「間メディア」とは,後述するように,多様なメディアが重層的に相互干渉し合う包括的メディア環境をさす.また「言語戦争」とは,覇権をめぐる闘争(戦争)が,広い意味での「言語」いいかえれば「状況の記述」によって生成・決定される様態をさすものとする.
