筆者らは,害虫防除業者によって駆除されたスズメバチの巣を用いて,自然史博物館の普及イベントの中でハチの巣の解体ショーを実施した.博物館と防除業者が連帯することによって,イベントを円滑に実施することができた.双方の連帯によって,博物館としては,一般市民の興味の高い素材の入手経路を確保できる点,防除業者としては廃棄物の有効的な利用法と啓蒙活動への参画となる点でメリットがある.イベントの実施は,大型の巣が入手しやすくなる9月以降に企画するのが理想的であり,計画的に確保しておく必要がある.また,自然史博物館におけるスズメバチ駆除虫のその他の活用事例も紹介した.

症例は65歳男性.慢性腎不全,下壁心筋梗塞の既往あり.慢性心不全の増悪で入退院を繰り返していた.2002年徐脈性心房細動のためVVIペースメーカー植え込み術を施行された.その後2003年3月から心不全が再増悪し,ドブタミン持続点滴から離脱困難となった.来院時BNPは1560,心エコー上LVDd78mm ,LVEF26%であった.両室ペーシング(BiV)の急性効果を検討したところ右室ペーシングと比較して,LVdP/dt maxが約41%改善した. 後日BiVへのupgrade手術を施行. 術後心不全は著明に軽快しドブタミンから容易に離脱可能となった.術後6日目にCL320msの非持続性心室頻拍(10連発)が1度のみ認められた.メキシレチン200mg/日を開始したところ以後心室頻拍は認められないため退院となった。退院後心不全症状はなく経過良好であったが2カ月後自宅で午睡中に突然心肺停止状態となり死亡した.経過から致死的不整脈が死因と考えられた.うっ血性心不全に対するBiV治療においてはICD機能付き両室ペースメーカーを必要とする症例が存在するが,その鑑別が重要と考えられる.

The purpose and method of this study have been outlined in part 1. In this study, high school students' consciousness of family and child rearing after the introduction of coeducational home economics is compared with the consciousness of students before the introduction of coeducational home economics. In this second part, high school students' views toward sex roles and participation in household work are analyzed. The major findings of this part are as follows. Male students who studied home economics had views toward sex roles less influenced by gender. Furthermore, they do not appear to be tied down to consciousness of the "Ie" institution. 2. Female students who studied home economics in a coeducational class room had views toward sex roles less influenced by gender. And they too do not appear to be tied down to consciousness of the"Ie" institution. 3. Male students who studied home economics participated in household work actively than male students who did not study home economics.

本稿では,ユーザとシステムが相互に演奏を予測することで合奏を進行させるジャムセッションシステム「BayesianBand」について述べる.このシステムでは,コード進行をあらかじめ決めておかずに,ユーザの演奏をリアルタイムに予測してコード進行を決定する.ユーザはシステムが決定するコード進行を予測しながら即興演奏をすることで,相互予測に基づくジャムセッションを楽しむことができる.This paper describes a jam session system, called BayesianBand, where the user and system mutually predict each other's performance. Not assuming that the chord progression is determined in advance, this system predicts the user's melody and then determines the chord progression in real time. By improvising while predicting the chord progression generated by the system, the user can enjoy a jam session based on the mutual prediction.

9カ月齢の雌のスフィンクスが全身性のそう痒を伴った丘疹を主訴として来院し,皮膚生検の結果色素性蕁麻疹と診断した。初期には抗ヒスタミン剤とプレドニゾロンを用いて治療し,維持にシクロスポリンを用いて良好に経過した。シクロスポリンの投与量は症状に応じて減量し,第417病日に完全に投薬を中止した。その後も再発もなく第466病日現在良好に維持している。

特集 : 論集 美学・芸術学 : 美・芸術・感性をめぐる知のスパイラル(旋回)Nicolas Poussin, a French painter, was highly influential in the formation of French classicism in the arts. He spent most of his life in Rome, Italy, and from the 1640s, he produced works mainly aimed at amateurs in Paris. He left about 18 paintings focusing on the life of Moses as depicted in the Old Testament. Among these include The Finding of Moses, which he painted for the Parisian silk merchant Jean Pointel, and The Exposition of Moses, which he created for Jacques Stella, a French painter and old acquaintance. These works depict two episodes related to the birth of Moses as well as feature a sphinx as an attribute of the River God of the Nile. In these works, Poussin rendered two noticeably different types of sphinxes for each recipient. For Pointel, he concealed typological meanings in the Egyptian sphinx to embody prophesies from the Old Testament, whereas for Stella, he depicted the statue of a lion along with the statue of Moses in the fountain of the Acqua Felice( one of the aqueducts of Rome), in which he included syncretistic connotations while drawing on the works of Kircher. The relationship between providence of nature and fortune indicated in this particular work is a theme that Poussin dealt with through his so-called ideal landscape. Therefore, he sent this work to Stella, who understood his paintings more than anyone else, in order to receive critical appraisal.

本論文では,次世代シーケンサから得られた大量のデータに対して,大規模なゲノムのアセンブリが可能となるように,消費メモリ量の少ない de novo アセンブリアルゴリズムを提案する.実験では,E. coli K-12 strain MG1655 及びヒトの 14 番染色体から得られたリードに対してアセンブリを行った.その結果,本手法は E. coli に対しては従来手法の約 20%,ヒト 14 番染色体に対しては他手法の約 60% の消費メモリ量で de novo アセンブリが可能であることを確認した.In this paper, we propose an algorithm for de novo assembly with lower memory. In our experiments using the E. coli K-12 strain MG 1655, the average maximum memory consumption of the proposed method was approximately 20% of that of the popular assemblers. Moreover, in the experiments using human chromosome 14, the average amount of memory of our method was approximately 60% of that of the popular assemblers.

This paper discusses how to formulate the reliability analysis of an inspected structure to make the best use of the experience, taking into account the uncertain factors in inspection, proof-load test and statistical characteristics of random variables involved. Two typical cases are taken as examples; one in which basic information is avairable for the analysis including detailed output of NDI and another case where simple visual inspection is only source of data. For both cases, Bayesian method is applied. Monte Carlo simulation demonstrates the use of present method.

本研究は、暑熱環境における温度変化による体温調節負荷を与える顕著な温度差のある温熱環境を移動させる実験を通して、更年期女性と青年女性を比較検討し、更年期女性の生理的心理的反応の特性を明らかとすることを目的とした。実験は屋外と空調された室内を出入りすることを想定し、屋外想定気温35.0℃の前室から18.0、22.0、26.0、30.0℃の実験室へ移動させ、生理的心理的反応を測定した。結果として、更年期女性は青年女性に比べ、末梢部皮膚温の低下が小さいことが観察された。全身温冷感についても、更年期女性の感覚の鈍さが観察された。末梢部の温冷感は、末梢部皮膚温の変化量の大小に対応しており、更年期女性は末梢部皮膚温が青年女性に比べて変化量が小さいことから、末梢部温冷感の鈍さに影響していると考えられる。
