Brillouin scattering measurements of the aggregate shear wave velocities in MgSiO3 perovskite and post-perovskite phase were conducted at high-pressure conditions relevant to the Earth’s lowermost mantle. Infrared laser annealing of samples in a diamond anvil cell enabled to obtain high quality Brillouin spectra and to extend the upper limit of pressure of Brillouin measurements. The large pressure range over which acoustic measurements of MgSiO3 perovskite and post-perovskite phase were performed has thereby allowed us to put tighter constraints on compositional models of the Earth’s lower mantle and enigmatic seismic observations in the lowermost mantle.

ロボットビジョンでは,取得する情報が湾曲面形状上に存在する場合がある.既存の情報解析手法を適用するには平面化処理が必要となる.形状情報を元に平面マッピングを行うことができるが,平面化情報を得るには形状情報として高精度な座標情報が必要不可欠である.一方でステレオ計測や Structure from Motion による手法では平面化のための十分な形状情報を得ることが困難である.本研究では,曲面を平面化処理した画像の歪み補正精度向上を目的に,精度が十分でない形状情報からの座標調整手法を提案する.実験により提案手法の有効性を示す.

富士山麓の溶岩洞の一つである蝙蝠穴とその付近で, サンロウドヨウグモの捕食行動と網構造の調査を行った. このクモはヤマジドヨウグモと同様に, 網にかかった特定のタイプの餌に対して糸の投げかけによって攻撃した (攻撃ラッピング). オオドヨウグモ属の各種は攻撃ラッピングを行わず, ドヨウグモ属の2種はそれを行うことから, 攻撃ラッピングはドヨウグモ属の行動上の一特性かもしれない.

本稿の目的は,EUおよびドイツにおける文化創造産業(以下,KKW)政策の策定経緯を注視しつつ,特に5州(N=W,ハンブルク,ブレーメン,ベルリン,ザクセン)のKKW産業構造と空間的特性をみることにより,ドイツのKKW政策の特徴を検討することにある.ドイツにおけるKKWは,経済危機時の経済的安定性や,欧州文化首都等,創造都市への国際的機運の高まりを背景に新しい産業としての認識が高まった.ドイツのKKW政策は,特に都市空間との関連性が顕著であり,都市経済および都市構造への影響と多分に関わると推測される.

本研究の目的は,看護師と嚥下障害者の身体を介した相互作用に焦点を当てて,食事介助のわざを明らかにすることである.研究方法は質的研究方法で,参与観察法と看護師による嚥下障害者への食事介助場面のビデオ視聴をもとにした対話を用い,質的帰納的に分析した.研究参加者は,経験年数が7年と30年以上の看護師2名と,脳血管疾患の後遺症で嚥下障害を伴う高齢者3名であった.嚥下障害者への食事介助における看護師のわざとして5つのカテゴリー 【食べる構えをつくる】 【舌との触れ合いを待つ】 【舌の動きを補う】 【噛む動きをつくる】 【飲み込みを助ける】 が見い出された.看護師は身体に触れ,客観的には見えない口の中などを視覚的イメージにより理解していた.嚥下障害者の身体の動きを声として受け止め,自身の身体の動きを変えて同調した.さらに,嚥下障害者が自ら身体を動かす機会をつくって食べる意欲を引き出しつつ,身体の動きを補完して支援した.

Middle and Late Permian (Capitanian and Changhsingian) radiolarians were obtained from chert blocks located within conglomerates of the Kamiaso Unit of the Mino terrane along Tsubogawa River, Gifu Prefecture, Central Japan. Previously, the Capitanian and Changhsingian cherts have not been reported from the sequences of the Akiyoshi terrane. Therefore, the collected chert blocks were not derived from the Akiyoshi terrane. The Capitanian and Changhsingian cherts have been recovered from the Permian sequences of Jurassic accretionary complexes in Southwest Japan; however, the characteristics of the Permian radiolarian fauna of the chert blocks are inconsistent with those from previously recovered Permian cherts. This indicates that the chert blocks were not derived from previously known units including Permian sequences. A previous study suggested that Triassic-Jurassic chert clasts within the chert breccias of the Kamiaso Unit were derived from the accreted Kamiaso Unit on the landward trench slope. As the Permian chert has not been identified in the coherent facies of the Kamiaso Unit, the Permian sequences must have been subducted during accretion. Our results suggest that the chert blocks were derived from the pre-accretion Kamiaso Unit located on the outer trench slope.

登熟期の気温と原料米の溶解性に密接に関係するデンプン特性の年次·産地間変動との関係について解析し,以下の結果が得られた。1 同一品種でも産地間でデンプン特性や蒸米消化性が異なるのは,産地の登熟期気温が影響したことが主な原因であると示唆された。2 25品種27産地の生産年度の異なる試料について,出穂後気温とデンプン糊化温度の関係について解析したところ,登熟期気温と糊化温度は高い相関性を示し,登熟期気温が低い年は糊化温度が低く,一方気温が高いと糊化温度も高くなることを確認した。以上,デンプン糊化温度は蒸米消化性と高い相関性を示すので,これまでと今回の研究結果から,原料米ごとの出穂後の気温に注目すれば,かなりの精度で原料米の溶解性に関する酒造適性を予測できると考えられた。

ATP is indispensable for all living organisms. Despite its importance, however, distribution and dynamics of ATP level inside living cells still remained unclear. We have developed FRET-based ATP biosensors, “ATeam” and “GO-ATeam”, which enabled us to visualize intracellular ATP level. Using these biosensors, we have successfully evaluated the effect of IF1 protein and Ca2+ on regulation of ATP level. Also, we found that replication of hepatitis C virus genome resulted in the declination of cytosolic ATP level of host cells and the formation of putative virus replication sites with high ATP levels.

The Exploratorium, founded by Frank Oppenheimer, has been regarded as one of the origins of hands-on 'science' museums, while its unique exhibition rationale described in its title 'the museum of science, art and human perception,' shows that it is not necessarily a simple 'science museum.' Why has it been perceived as a museum, not of 'science, art and human perception,' but of 'science'? In order to explore the question, the present study examined how the Exploratorium's exhibition rationale was reflected in the exhibition, 'Exploratorium in Japan' held in 1989. Through an extended examination of the exhibit selection process using a collection of recorded documents from the Japanese side as well as an archive from Exploratorium's official management record (US side), no concrete and detailed discussion on the exhibition rationale and/or exhibit policy between the two sides was found to have happened during the negotiation process.

症例は78歳男性.2004年8月前立腺癌経過観察中のCTで前縦隔腫瘍を指摘された.胸部X線で右肺門部に突出する腫瘤影,CTで前縦隔に60×28 mmの石灰化を伴う腫瘤を認め,超音波ガイド下針生検を施行した.胸腺腫との診断が得られ,胸腺摘出術を施行した.術後病理は胸腺腫WHO type ABで正岡II期であった.2008年7月から右前胸部に3 cmの硬い無痛性腫瘤が出現した.CTでは前胸壁に45×15 mmの腫瘤であった.胸腺腫の胸壁再発を疑い腫瘍摘出術を施行し,術中迅速で胸腺腫再発と診断した.術後断端陽性であったため放射線治療60 Gyを追加した.現在明らかな再発を認めていない.針生検による穿刺経路播種をきたした胸腺腫の1例を経験したので報告する.
