本研究では,「寄付金控除」による還付施策と「マッチング寄付」による上乗せ施策が寄付行動に与える影響を,経済実験を使って比較した.インターネット調査会社の回答モニターから,性別と年代(20歳から69歳まで)の割合が均等になるように抽出して,金銭的報酬で動機づける経済実験を行った(N=2,300).分析の結果,たとえ優遇率が同じであっても,寄付するときの自己負担額を還付によって下げる寄付金控除に比べて,第三者の上乗せによって下げるマッチング寄付の方が高額の寄付を誘発する効果が大きいことが分かった.具体的に,50%の寄付金控除の群に割り当てられると,実際の寄付支出額が統制群に比べて約126円下落したのに対して,100%のマッチング寄付の群(優遇率は50%控除と実質的に同じ)に割り当てられると,逆に実際の寄付支出額が約56円上昇した.この結果は,海外の一連の先行研究で観察された結果と一致している.日本でも,マッチング寄付が寄付行動を促進する効果が相対的に大きい可能性が示唆された.

The power saving effects of telework were paid attention to soon after the East Japan Great Earthquake but they are scarcely reported in newspapers recently. Although the power saving in the office with telework is expected in air-conditioning, lightening and electronic appliances, energy use at home may be increased at the same time. In this study, 11 literatures which estimate the energy effects of telework are examined and compared. As for the literatures, the average increase of energy at home is 6.0kWh while the average decrease of energy in the office is 6.4kWh. The difference is not significant statistically and the power saving effects of telework are not clear. It is important to consider the condition of teleworking at home and the effects of the reduction of commuting in order to grasp the energy-saving effects of telework totally.

本研究では子どもの選択・意思決定を支援するプロセスの全体像を理解するために,幼稚園教諭9名を対象に幼稚園における選択場面での支援について半構造化面接によるインタビューを実施し,修正版グラウンデッド・セオリー・アプローチ(M-GTA)によって意思決定の発達への幼稚園教諭の支援について質的に検討した。この結果,24の概念と5つのカテゴリーが生成された。子どもの選択・意思決定場面において幼稚園教諭の行う支援のプロセスは次のようなものであった。「支援の準備」では幼稚園教諭は日常の保育で子どもを理解し,選択肢について教育する。次に個々の選択場面で「子どもが選べる選択肢を設定」する。「迷いへの支援」では迷う子どもを見守り,選択を促す。「拒否への支援」では選択を拒否する子どもを見守り,必要ならば説得をする。「こだわりへの支援」では適切な選択をするよう誘導する。

全国より収集されたレセプト情報は,レセプト情報・特定健診等情報データベース(NDB)に格納されている.厚生労働省は汎用性が高く,様々なニーズに一定程度応えうる基礎的なデータをNDBより抽出し,NDBオープンデータとして2016年より公開した.この医療ビッグデータは全国規模での医薬品使用実績を知りうるエビデンスレベルの高い情報源であり,薬学教育に反映させることが有益であり,実状把握能力の育成が課題発見能力への発展に繋がると考えた.本稿では,年齢別処方実績,市場動向推移,複数の効能・適応を持つ医薬品に焦点を絞り,NDBオープンデータ・薬剤データの薬学教育への有用性と限界点について述べる.

Aim: Pulse wave velocity (PWV) has been regarded as the “gold standard” measurement of arterial stiffness (AS), but it is still only used in the assessment of central and peripheral arteries. We constructed a new method to evaluate cerebral AS by measuring PWV using transcranial Doppler (TCD).Methods: In all, 90 healthy subjects who received annual health screening were consecutively enrolled in this study between January 2011 and June 2013. Data on clinical characteristics, brachium–ankle (ba) PWV, and carotid–cerebral (cc) PWV measured with our newly constructed method by two experienced operators were recorded. cc PWV was calculated as the distance between two points in the common carotid artery and proximal part of ipsilateral middle cerebral artery, which was divided by the pulse transit time between these two points where the pulse was measured using TCD.Results: The value of cc PWV was 499.3±78.6 cm/s. Correlation between cc PWV and ba PWV in the assessment of AS was r=0.794 (P<0.001). The concordance between both the above mentioned methods was good. Interobserver and intraobserver reliability using interclass correlation for measuring cc PWV were 0.815 (P<0.001) and 0.939 (P<0.001), respectively. In multivariable analysis, older age (β=4.51, P<0.001) and increased diastolic blood pressure (β=2.39, P<0.001) were independently associated with higher cc PWV.Conclusion: cc PWV measured using TCD may be a promising method for the assessment of human cerebral AS, which is independently associated with age and diastolic blood pressure.

本稿では、江戸川乱歩が登場する以前の雑誌『新青年』の探偵小説言説を分析し、ジャンルが動的に形成されていく過程を明らかにした。まずは創刊当初の『新青年』という雑誌空間における探偵小説を定位した上で、同誌が盛んに主張した「高級探偵小説」の内実を明らかにした。さらに、その一方では、探偵小説を愛好する新たな層に許容されることで自身が「低級」だと規定したはずの種類の探偵小説が次第に掲載数を増やしていくという事態が存在していたことを指摘した。そして、そのように「低級」探偵小説を経由することで探偵小説に芸術性を見いだす価値観が形成され、「高級探偵小説」は後のジャンル状況に繋がる形で再編成されていったと結論付けた。

本稿の目的は情報検索研究における評価方法の歴史的な変遷を概観し,評価の高度化のために探究されるべき課題を論じることにある。最初にクランフィールド実験・TRECという2つの画期的な検索実験を紹介する。これらは現在の検索実験の標準的な枠組みを提供した。次に,検索実験における評価指標について論じる。特に,順位付き出力の評価用に開発された平均精度について詳しく説明し,その問題点を議論する。最後に,評価尺度としての「適合性」概念について述べ,その客観的な解釈と主観的な解釈との相違を明確にする。

本研究では、テキストを解釈し批評する行為を科学的にとらえるためのケーススタディとして、著名な文芸批評家個人の批評テキストを網羅的に収集し、計量的な分析を行った。テキスト中の評価的語彙の共起情報の分析からは、「新しさ」「美しさ」「深さ」などが重要であることが分かった。また、テキスト中の人名から、批評家が影響を強く受けている作家・思想家を分析し、テキストの評価軸となる思想的な背景を抽出することができた。

本論は,鹿児島県奄美大島の瀬戸内町嘉鉄において,Iターン者の価値観と集落の機能に注目し,Iターン者を取り入れた集落の維持形態を明らかにした.1990年代末以降,嘉鉄には大都市圏からの移住者が継続的に流入している.彼らは島内の都市的地域を避け,選択的に嘉鉄に居住する.Iターン者が嘉鉄に住居を確保するには,住宅所有者の社会的ネットワークに参加することが求められる.また移住前,住民は会合を開き,移住希望者に対し集落行事への参加を確認する.閉鎖的な住宅市場と集落行事に関する合意形成は,地域社会に適合する人材を選別する役割を果たす.移住後,集落行事は従前の住民がIターン者を受け入れる場所となる.非都市的生活を希求するIターン者と彼らを選別して受け入れる集落の機能が結びつき,嘉鉄ではIターン者を空間的・社会的に取り入れた集落維持が行われている.本論は,限界集落論を反証する事例として位置づけられる.

The impact of stratospheric sudden warming event in September 2007 on the tropics was investigated based on satellite data (CALIOP, MLS and TRMM PR). Equatorial temperature and water vapor at 100 hPa decreased by about 1 K and 1 ppmv within 10 days, respectively. Changes in tropical clouds are observed together with the occurrence of the SSW as i) frequent formation of higher-level cirrus clouds over the Maritime Continent, to where water vapor was transported from Asian Monsoon and where the lowest temperature occurred, ii) intensification of deep convective activity in the TTL over African continent, and iii) southward shift of the convective clouds over South American continent.

In Japan, local legislators often seem inactive and redundant. In fact, they introduce much fewer bills than local governors. However, why don't these local legislators devote themselves to legislative activities, especially introduction of bills?   Using the panel data of 47 Japanese prefectural assemblies from 1967 to 2006, this study investigates the determinants of bill introduction by local legislators. We mainly focus on the effect of political institutions: executive-legislative relations, parliamentary rules, and central-local relations via the party system. The results of Poisson and a negative binominal regression model with unconditional fixed effects show that parliamentary factions tend to introduce more bills in following situations: while opposing the governor, when the factions are large enough to introduce bills on their own, and when they don't have a close connection with the central government via the party system. These results imply that the institutional restrictions of local legislatures cause their legislators to be inactive in introducing bills.

東北地方太平洋岸域の海岸林は東日本大震災で大きな被害を受け、現在、かつてない規模で山砂の搬入と盛土を伴う海岸防災林再生事業が進められている。生物多様性の劣化が懸念されるが、復旧事業直後の生物多様性に関する研究は乏しい。本研究では松川浦に面した砂洲である福島県相馬市磯部大洲において、施工直後の生育基盤盛土上の植物相と植生を調査した。造成完了から 3年以内で、植樹した翌年の生育基盤盛土上は、植被率が低く裸地に近い相観で、出現率が高かった植物の多くは一般に二次遷移の初期に出現するとされる夏緑性一年草や夏緑性多年草であった。木本は少なく高木性種はクロマツだけであり、海岸生植物は 3種類で被度も低かった。帰化植物は侵略的外来生物を含め 23種類(帰化率約 40%)であったが、被度は低かった。出現した維管束植物 58種類には震災前から林内や路傍で確認されていた種類が多く、生育基盤盛土の材料は砂岩由来で散布体に乏しいと推測されることから、これらは近隣から侵入したものが多いと思われた。本研究の対象地は限られたものであり、広大な復旧事業地の全域にわたる生物多様性の研究と知見の集積が望まれる。

肥満およびそれに関連した糖尿病などのメタボリックシンドロームの増加は世界的な問題となっている.最近の研究により,腸内細菌叢がこれらの疾患に関与する環境要因のひとつであることが明らかになってきた.無菌マウスを用いた研究は,腸内細菌が宿主における食餌からのエネルギー獲得および脂質・エネルギー代謝に影響することにより体脂肪蓄積に重要な役割を果たしていることを示唆した.また,肥満個体と正常体重個体との間で腸内細菌叢が異なることが,実験動物およびヒトにおいて観察された.さらに,腸内のグラム陰性細菌由来のリポ多糖が体内に移行して代謝性エンドトキシン血症を生じ,それが白色脂肪組織における軽度炎症,さらには全身性のインスリン抵抗性に寄与することが示された.これらの知見は腸内細菌叢が肥満およびメタボリックシンドロームの予防・治療の標的となりうることを示唆する.実際,プレバイオティクスおよびプロバイオティクスがこれらの疾患を予防・改善することが報告されている.本総説では,この数年で急速に進展した腸内細菌叢と肥満およびメタボリックシンドロームとの関係に関する研究を紹介する.

Rare metals such as vanadium and cobalt are dissolved in seawater at very low concentrations. Ascidians are known to accumulate extremely high levels of vanadium selectively. Vanadium is accumulated mainly in one type of their blood cells, and the concentration reaches 350 mM corresponding to107times that in seawater. Recently, we isolated vanadium-binding proteins, Vanabinl-5, from an vanadium-rich ascidian, Ascidia sydneiensis samea. Biochemical and structural analyses revealed that Vanabins make a novel protein family which is characterized by 18 conserved cysteine motif. They are thought to act as metal chaperones in ascidian blood cells. Vanabins can be used as an agent for selective bioaccumulation and biosorption of heavy metals.
