交差点の安全性や効率性について、交差点構造や現示パターンに着目した研究はあるが、信号灯器の位置に着目した研究は少なく、灯器位置の違いによる運転挙動の違い等の知見も十分に得られていない。 そこで本研究では、信号灯器の位置に着目し、日本で主流の交差点の右手前・左奥(far)と、ドイツなどで主流の交差点の左手前(near)による、交差点性能の違いについて、ドライビングシミュレータを用いた実験により得られた運転挙動データを用いて評価した。交差点性能を評価するための指標として、安全性については、「通過判断率と追突可能性」及び「交錯点通過時間差」、円滑性については「交差点の交通容量」を用いた。その結果、far より near の方が、円滑性および安全性の両方で性能が高い可能性があることを示した。

Previous studies suggested that taurine (2-aminoethanesulfonic acid) administration enhances glucose uptake, one of the rate-limiting factors for glycogen synthesis. In this study, we investigated the effects of post-exercise taurine administration on glycogen repletion in skeletal muscle in ICR mice. In experiment 1, we orally administered either taurine (0.5 mg/g body weight) solution or physiological saline immediately after treadmill running at 25 m/min for 90 min. The serum free fatty acid (FFA) concentration at 60 min after the exercise was significantly higher in the taurine-treated group compared with the control group (p < 0.05). At 120 min after the exercise, the tibialis anterior muscle glycogen concentration in the taurine-treated group was significantly higher than that in the control group (p < 0.05). In experiment 2, we orally administered either glucose (1 mg/g body weight) solution or glucose solution containing taurine immediately after and at 60 min after the exercise. The area under the curve (AUC) for blood glucose concentration from 0 to 60 min after the exercise was significantly smaller in the taurine-treated group compared with the control group (p < 0.01). Our results show that post-exercise taurine administration enhances glycogen repletion in skeletal muscle. Higher skeletal muscle glycogen concentration by taurine administration may be partly due to the acceleration of glucose uptake. In addition, as the elevation of blood FFA level leads to an increase in fat oxidation, it is possible that a higher serum FFA concentration by taurine treatment is related to the sparing of carbohydrate for glycogen repletion.

In Akihabara, where various specialty stores accumulate, people gather searching for limited and rare products and exchange them to share their hobbies and interests outside the store, forming a kind of public sphere. This paper clarifies the mechanism of forming "the place for exchanges of goods". To grasp this mechanism that are common in the outdoor space of Akihabara is also important in considering the value of downtown, which used to be discussed with words "bustle" and was not considered its social meaning.  1) Geographical characteristics of group staying behavior on the street By patrolling Akihabara district, the distribution of places for exchanges of goods on the street was clarified from the wide-area viewpoint. Through this survey 12 locations were extracted where "appreciation and exchange" activities were concentrated, and from these locations it became clear that place for exchanges of goods tend to be formed in the near ground where manga, anime, and game content is sold.  2) Behavior and spatial transformation of places for exchanges of goods From the fixed-point observation investigation, the change of the range in which space for exchanges of goods forms and the change of the behavior were analyzed. As a result, special characters of places where exchanges of goods are likely to happen were grasped from a microscopic viewpoint. It has become clear that place for exchanges of goods occurs avoiding the flow of people. It was also confirmed that the larger the number of members, the more they stayed in the environment surrounded by street objects.  3) Behavioral psychology of people who form places for exchanges of goods Hearing investigation clarified what kind of behavioral psychology were seen behind forming the places for exchanges of goods, and what kind of actions were done for making their own place on the street. As a result, two types of actions were identified: "exchange of goods" and "exchange of information". It was confirmed that places for exchanges of goods occurs not only in search of a consensus of interests, but also in search of mutual empathy through the exchange of information in which people can deepen their knowledge of hobbies and preferences. It also became clear that they formed or joined in places for exchanges of goods with 9 kinds of behavioral psychology.

本研究は,演奏者の重心・重量を用いた演奏連携度の評価を通じて,小集団相互作用における動態をシンクロニーの視点から明らかにすることを目的とする。そのために,プロの演奏者によるコンサート時の合奏場面を対象に情報科学技術を用いて演奏連携度を算出し,これを社会心理学的手法により評価した。具体的には,椅子型センシングデバイスを用いて演奏者の重心移動・重量変化を取得することで身体全体の動きを時系列データとして検出し,短時間フーリエ変換を適用することで時系列振幅スペクトルデータを得た。これについて全演奏者の時系列スペクトルデータを乗算することで演奏連携度を算出した。この演奏連携度についてサロゲート法を用いることで,演奏者間に偶然以上の連携が生じていたことを明らかにした。さらに,コンサート時に取得していた音源を一般の大学生に提示した結果,一部の楽曲において演奏連携度の高い演奏が肯定的な評価を得ることを確認した。行動の同時性や同期性を扱うシンクロニー研究の多くは二者間の相互作用を対象としたものが多い中で,情報科学の技術を導入することで小集団における相互作用ダイナミックスが精緻に測定・検討可能になった点は異分野協同における成果であるといえる。

社会的構築のメタファーが流布するとともに, その意味するところは多義化し, 探究の方法上の指針としてだけでなく, 批判のための一種の「イズム」として使われるようにもなっている.そうした「構築」系の “バベルの塔” 状況を整理するために, 本稿では, エンピリカル・リサーチャビリティ (経験的調査可能性) という補助線を引く.ただし, 近年では, 社会的いとなみを “エンピリカルに調べることができる” ということの意味自体が, 方法論的に問い返されている.そして従来のポジティヴィストと解釈学派の双方が批判の対象になっているが, その批判者の問にも, 調査研究の営為について, 認識論的 (そしてときには存在論的) に「折り返して」理解するアプローチと, (語用論的転回を経由した) 「折り返さないで」理解するアプローチの種差がみられる.2つの理解のコントラストは, 価値と事実の二分法の棄却問題への対応や, リフレクシヴィティという概念についての理解をみるとき鮮明になる.後者の, エスノメソドロジーに代表される「折り返さない」タイプの理解は, さまざまな領域で, エンピリカルな構築主義的探究のプログラムを組み立てるにあたって, 有効な指針を提供すると考えられる.応用や批判といった, 研究のアウトプットを「役に立てる」方途について考えるにあたっても, 思想的であるよりエンピリカルであることが重要である.そして, 活動と活動の接続として社会的いとなみを見る後者のタイプの理解は, 従来のものとは異なる, ローカルな秩序に即応した応用の試みを可能にするだろう.

Mirtazapine (MTZ) is a noradrenergic and specific serotonergic antidepressant. MTZ is reportedly associated with an increased risk of bleeding. However, the underlying mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we investigated the antiplatelet effect of MTZ in mice via light transmission aggregometry to elucidate the mechanism of MTZ-induced bleeding. The results of the ex vivo study showed that the oral administration of MTZ (20 or 100 mg/kg) significantly suppressed platelet aggregation mediated by the synergic interaction of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and adrenaline. Additionally, MTZ significantly suppressed platelet aggregation, mediated by the synergic interaction of ADP and 5-HT or adrenaline. Similar results were obtained in vitro, under the condition of 5-HT- and adrenaline-induced platelet aggregation. Overall, the results suggest that MTZ exerts antiplatelet effect by co-blocking 5-HT2A and α2-adrenergic receptors on platelets and suppresses platelet aggregation mediated by ADP, increased by either 5-HT or adrenaline. Thus, a detailed monitoring of bleeding is recommended for patients taking MTZ.

野生動物を絶滅から回避させるための1つの方策として,環境省レッドデータブックで絶滅危惧ⅠA類に分類されるツシマヤマネコの保全について講演および意見交換を行った。ツシマヤマネコを保全するためには,生息域内における周辺住民とツシマヤマネコとの関わり方,行政,地元の団体他関係者などを含めた対策,また,ツシマヤマネコの減少の1つの原因となっているイエネコからの感染症対策について獣医師による側面からの支援および野生復帰のための生息域外における動物園における飼育下繁殖事業などそれぞれの分野で今後も継続した対応が必要である。今まで日本国内での絶滅に瀕した哺乳類の野生復帰が成功した例がないなかで,今後の野生動物保全に対して本事業の役割は大きいものと考える。

In contemporary adolescent friendships, there is a problem of people attacking those who fail to “take a hint.” In this study, we introduced four scenarios in which one friend failed to “take a hint” based on Bateson’s concept of the communication mode. We also investigated the differences in the coping behavior that the adolescent chose, depending on their relationship with their group of friends. We conducted a questionnaire survey of 226 university students. As a result, four types of coping behaviors for people who failed to “take a hint” were found: “Ignore,” “Criticize,” “Jeer or Tease,” and “Follow Along.” Furthermore, an adolescent’s relationship with their friend group was associated with their coping behavior. Adolescents who built an avoidant friendship tended to choose “Ignore” as their coping behavior. On the other hand, adolescents who built a mob-like friendship were likely to choose “Jeer or Tease.” This discussion deals with the possibility of becoming sensitive to the people who fail to “take a hint,” if the adolescent needs the friendships in the group.

The metalloenzyme ‘hydrogenase’ catalyzes the reversible oxidation of dihydrogen. Crystallographic structures of[NiFe]hydrogenases from sulfate-reducing bacteria have been determined and give detailed insight into pathways for the transfer of electrons, protons and hydrogen molecules.[NiFe]hydrogenases contain one nickel and one iron in the active site, the latter carries non-protein diatomic ligands, one CO and two CN-s. A possible catalytic mechanism of the oxygen-sensitive[NiFe]hydrogenases for the heterolytic dihydrogen splitting is proposed.

By examining with whom and how frequently Okubo Toshimichi met with different people during the December 1867 (Keio 3)-March 1877 (Meiji 10) period, the author has come to the following conclusions about Okubo's political relationships. First, his political relations with court nobles and feudal lords (daimyo) who had held high places in the traditional hierarchy of status and authority, including Iwakura Tomomi and Sanjo Sanetomi, became gradually estranged. The decline of the influence of nobles and feudal lords in politics and the contrasting rise of Okubo's influence can be regarded as causes of that trend. Second, Okubo's relations with those who came from the same Kagoshima clan were very intimate throughout this period. After around January 1876, however, he came to rely slightly less on these relations, because with his rise in politics it became more and more possible for him to win over competent officials directly without using intermediaries based on factional ties. Third, those who came from the Yamaguchi, Saga and Kochi clans worked in cooperation with Okubo during the period of the Boshin Wars. After the Boshin Wars antagonism between Okubo and Kido Takayoshi increased. At the same time opposition to the government led by these two men increased from those outside the government. Many men from these three clans played important roles in this arena of political rivalry, and it seems that the inclination towards supporting Okubo was comparatively strong among those from Saga compared to the other two clans. As his relations with the Kido group improved from around December 1870 and the centralization of the government increased, the number of officials from the three clans who attempted to secure closer relations with Okubo increased gradually. However, this trend was also influenced by Okubo's rivalry with the Kido group, the Saigo group and others in the government. Especially after the debate on the expedition to Korea, the status of Okubo rose while the strength of those who had opposed him declined and officials from the three clans tried to consolidate their relations with Okubo. Fourth, clans other than Kagoshima, except for the above-mentioned three, had relatively few persons of importance in the government. Few from such clans played important roles in the political rivalries after the Boshin Wars to 1871. On the whole the relationships between Okubo and those from such clans were not intimate. But as his political status rose rapidly after the expedition to Korea debate, many of them developed closer relationships with him as officials in the middle rank. Fifth, those who had intimate political relations with Okubo shifted, from those who held a high rank in pre-Restoration organizations to those in lower ranks.

現在の真菌感染症治療薬には抗真菌スペクトラムや副作用の問題があるため,治療薬選択の余地は狭く,有効な治療法の開発が急務となっている.有効な治療法の開発の1つの手段として,真菌のストレス環境下の応答機序(シグナル伝達や代謝など)の解明がある.本稿では,感染時に起こるさまざまなストレスのうち,鉄欠乏ストレスおよびそれに適応するために起こる代謝の変化に着目し,それらの応答システムの解明について,Candida glabrataを中心としたCandida酵母での研究の現状を紹介し,真菌症の治療戦略の創製の可能性に触れる.

Abnormal insertions of the pectoralis minor have been reported on by many authors, Most have dealt with its extending beyond the coracoid process and attaching itself to the capsule. We, however, studied the relationship between abnomal insertions of this muscle and the coracohumeral ligament.53 cadavers, i. e.106 shoulders were examined in this study,38 males and 15 females. The age of the cadavers ranged from 43 to 93, with mean age of 67.5 years.Abnomal insertions were found in 26 of the 53 cadavers and 39 of the 106 shoulders. This abnormality presented itself more often in females than in males.The coracohumeral ligament it usualy know as the ligament which occurs from the coracoid and is inserted in the humerus, but in our study this ligament did not clearly exist.In conclusion, we consider the coracohumeral ligament to be a residual l igament of the pectoralis minor or connective tissues in a part of the capsule.

1992年に設立され,系統的レビューの手法を確立したコクランは,現在130か国・地域を超える3万7,000人の人々が協力して,手軽に無料で入手できる信頼性の高い医療情報を提供している。設立当初から,研究や診療の意思決定に医療消費者(患者)の参加を真摯に取り組んできた。医療消費者はコクランの系統的レビューの査読を行い,設定したゴールが適切か,コクランのメッセージがわかりやすいかなどに重点をおいてチェックする。完成したコクランレビューには抄録のほか一般語訳が必ず付けられ,いくつかの国・地域では,研究教育機関だけではなく,市民に広く公開されている。研究や診療政策現場における医療消費者参加の現況を踏まえ,今後,医療消費者が「どのように参加するか」が重要になると考えられる。

看護職の石鹸と流水による手洗いの有用な方法について,石鹸泡立て時間,流水すすぎ時間,手拭き乾燥方法を種々に設定し除菌効果より検討を加えた。 その結果,流水時間を15秒間とした場合,石鹸泡立て時間8秒間群と15秒間群で手洗いによる有意な細菌数の減少を認めたが,30秒間群では減少は認められなかった。 石鹸泡立て時間を15秒間とした場合,流水すすぎ時間は15秒間,30秒間,60秒間群共に手洗いによる細菌数の有意な減少を認め,60秒間群の除菌効果が最も高かった。 ペーパータオル使用枚数は2枚以上で除菌効果があり,特に3枚使用群が最も高く,1枚では除菌効果は認められなかった。 布タオルの連続使用ではタオルに付着した細菌数は漸次増加し,手洗いによる除菌効果を認めたのは1人目のみであった。 以上より石鹸と流水による手洗いでは石鹸泡立てを8~15秒間行い,泡とともに存在する細菌を時間をかけ十分に洗い流し,ペーパータオル2枚以上,出来れば3枚を使用し十分に手指を乾燥させることが重要である。 また,共用タオルは使用する毎に手洗いによる除菌効果が低下するので,その使用は厳に慎むべきである。

As a RNA polymerase inhibitor, 6-fluoro-3-hydroxypyrazine-2-carboxamide commercially named favipiravir has been proved to have potent inhibitory activity against RNA viruses in vitro and in vivo. A four-step synthesis of the compound is described in this article, amidation, nitrification, reduction and fluorination with an overall yield of about 8%. In addition, we reported the crystal structure of the title compound. The molecule is almost planar and the intramolecular O−H•••O hydrogen bond makes a 6-member ring. In the crystal, molecules are packing governed by both hydrogen bonds and stacking interactions.
