道路案内標識で表示される地名を運転者が情報として十分に利用するためには,案内標識の情報を記載した地図を用いて自らが経路と地名の関係を事前に学習しておく必要がある.また,この地図を利用することで,案内標識が設置された経路を選定するなど,地図と連携した案内標識の積極的活用が可能になる.本研究では,こうした観点からシミュレータを用いた室内実験によって,案内標識情報を記載した地図を用いた事前学習の効果を分析した.その結果,地図を用いた事前学習により,地名情報の利用が増加し,予定経路どおりに走行できる割合が向上するばかりでなく,予定経路以外の経路を走行する距離,心理的負担が軽減することが明らかとなった.

本論は,鉄道事業者が通勤輸送向け着席保証列車を運行する意義を明らかにし,今後の通勤輸送向け着席保証列車の新規運行の可能性を展望することを目的とする。通勤輸送向け着席保証列車の意義および運行可能性について,全国の事例および東武鉄道東上本線TJ ライナーの採算性分析を踏まえ検討する。利用客の着席ニーズが高い場合,鉄道事業者は,通勤輸送向け着席保証列車を運行することで,収益を確保することができる。しかし,鉄道事業者にとって,通勤輸送向け着席保証列車の運行は,企業価値向上と着席機会の提供を通じた利用客の便益確保を両立する手段として位置付けることが重要である。利用客に着席という「選択肢」を提供する通勤輸送向け着席保証列車を運行することで,鉄道の魅力を向上させ,環境に優しい鉄道の利用促進につなげることができれば,自動車の利用者を減らし,CO2 削減,交通事故防止および道路渋滞の抑制を図ることも可能となる。

Aim: Numerous physiologic studies attempted to explain the effects of ambient hypoxia on humans, and now we know how humans adapted to it through changes in the expression of hypoxia-related genes. However, little is investigated about the gender difference from a view point of glocal (combined global and local) comprehensive assessment. Methods: We studied the effects of high altitude on pulse oximetry (SpO2), blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), aortic stiffness of cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI). Subjects were 1, 858 Ladakhis (777 men and 1081 women). We investigated the gender difference of compensatory mechanisms by comparing the cardiovascular functions among 3 groups of high altitudes, i.e., from 2500 to 3000 m, from 3200 to 3720 m, and from 3800 to 4590m. Results: There observed no significant differences of the cardiovascular function among the three altitudes in men, but in women systolic BP became higher along with the altitudes and incidences of ECG findings, including 1st degree of AV block, ST depression and abnormal Q waves, became more frequent along with altitude. In addition, Ladakhi women showed steeper negative slope of the regression line between SpO2 and age, and larger slope of the regression line between systolic and diastolic BPs and age, compared with Ladakhi men. Conclusions: Our study indicates an existence of gender difference of adaptation to ambient hypoxia especially on cardiovascular functions, which suggests a need for the glocal comprehensive assessment for the better diagnosis and for the more fruitful treatment in community dwellers, especially at higher altitude.

ニューモシスチス肺炎(Pneumocystis pneumonia; PCP)の原因菌であるPneumocystis jiroveciiは人工培養法が確立されていないため,塗抹検査や血清学的検査,遺伝学的検査等により診断が実施されている。本検討で実施した検査と診断結果との一致率はloop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP)法で感度94.6%,特異度94.7%,ディフ・クイック(Diff-Quik)染色で感度67.6%,特異度96.5%,β-Dグルカン検査で感度89.1%,特異度86.0%となった。3法を組み合わせて診断結果と比較した場合,2法以上陽性の症例は全例PCP群と診断されていた。また,PCP群において3法の検査が全て陰性であった症例は存在しなかった。LAMP法は感度の高い検査であるが,コロナイゼーションの可能性も否定できないため,単独でPCP診断を実施するのは困難である。これらの検査を併用することでPCP診断の精度を上げることができ,早期診断,治療につながることが期待できる。

ハイビジョン(高品位テレビジョン)の実用化を進めるにあたっては, 放送に用いる信号伝送方式の確立が必要である.NHKが開発した12GHz帯の放送衛星を用いてハイビジョン放送を実施する目的で開発したMUSE(Multiple Sub-Nyquist Sampling Encoding)は, 実際に運用中のBS-2b(放送衛星-2b号)を用いた実験をくり返し, その実用性が確かめられた.本論文ではハイビジョン衛星放送の要件を論じ, それに適合するMUSEの原理, 構成, 機器開発について述べる.MUSEは実用性を重視した固定サブサンプリング伝送方式であり, 極めて簡単なシステムではあるが, 高い画質を保ってハイビジョン画像を8.1MHzのベースバンドに帯域圧縮できる.MUSEの開発によりBS単一チャンネルで放送することが可能になった.

Transient Receptor Potential (TRP)イオンチャネルの1つであるTRPA1チャネルが環境ガス中に含まれる低酸素および有害物質のセンサーとして働き、これらを体内に取り込んでしまう前に忌避行動、覚醒や呼吸変化を引き起こす早期警告系として役立っているのではないかという仮説を検証した。仮説は実証され、しかも鼻腔内の三叉神経に存在するTRPA1が重要であることが明らかになった。

北海道新幹線について、日本一割高な特急料金の上限設定が総括原価方式に基づき認可された。しかし、割高な特急料金は、移動の自由の制約ならびに地域間交流や地域活性化の阻害要因となる懸念がある。航空路線に対して競争力のある価格設定の企画乗車券や鉄道の特性を生かした周遊券の全国の JR 線の駅窓口での発売、旅行商品の発売および寝台列車・観光列車を JR 他社と協力して運行すること等の工夫が必要である。JR北海道は、JR 他社との戦略的提携を進め、北海道新幹線の利便性向上を進める必要がある。また、JR グループと沿線自治体が連携して、道南・青森エリアの観光資源を広域的に PR することで、新たな観光需要を掘り起こす取り組みも必要である。JR 北海道が列車の安全運行に専念できる制度設計は、北海道新幹線の信頼性を高め、道南・青森エリアの観光振興に貢献する最善策である。

〔目的〕都市における結核発病の実態を報告し,今日の都市結核対策を検討する。〔方法〕症例研究を中心に行った。各症例の社会背景と結核菌DNA指紋分析を加えた菌情報により感染経路を調査した。〔結果〕2005年2月よりの1年5カ月の間に,川崎市川崎駅周辺の約500m四方の地域で9例の結核発病を確認した。9症例は16~55歳の比較的若い年齢層で,3例はホームレスであった。接触者健診の過程で,すべての症例が川崎駅周辺を生活活動圏としており,ネットカフェ等での関連が推測された。9例中7例はSM耐性菌であり,そのうち5例はDNA指紋分析により同一パターンを呈した。〔考察〕本事例はネットカフェ等の不特定多数利用施設を中心とした感染と考えられた。都市にはこのような施設が多く,若年者層とともにホームレス等の社会的弱者も利用する。結核未感染の若年者層と結核ハイリスク層とが閉鎖的空間を長時間共有する環境は,いったん結核菌の喀出があれば,容易に感染が起こりうることを示唆した。結核の都市偏在にはこのような社会環境も影響しており,それらを加味した総合的対策が求められる。

幼児の構音発達において/r/は/s, dz, ts/とならんでもっとも獲得の遅れる音, /d/は比較的早期に獲得されるとされてきた.しかし, 小学校入学前後の子どもでは聴覚弁別能力の未発達により/r/と/d/の誤りは互いに密接に影響しあうため, 別個に考えるより同一の誤りととらえるべきこと, 構音の誤りが書字にもあらわれるという報告もなされている.本報告では書字検査をもちいて小学校1, 2年生におけるラダ行音の構音獲得の状態をしらべた.1年生では7月では7%+α, 9月では約6%, 2年生では4%の子どもがまだ構音確立していないという結果をえた.同時に, 構音確立したあるいは確立間近の群では検査語間の難易度により誤答率に差が生じたが, 確立していない群では一様だった.検査語間の難易度と誤答率の関係から, 構音発達の予測の可能性が示唆された.

This paper reports the introduction of PBLs for social implementation as compulsory subjects, the efforts in first year practice, and the analysis of their effects. In the first half-year for the fourth grade students in KOSEN, “Social Implementation Project I” is placed to learn the importance of finding issues through case studies of social Implementations and to understand the relationship between technology and society. In the latter half-year, “Social Implementation Project Ⅱ” is placed, in which students work on social implementation as a team in collaboration with partners inside or outside of our campus. It shows the fact which the student’s self-evaluation of generic skills was improved by the student’s experience of PBLs. The fact that the student’s PROG scores were improved by the experience of PBLs suggests that PBLs for social implementation have the effect of improvement of the student’s competency. It shows that the analysis in this paper provides quantitative evidence for the effects of PBL for social implementation on human resource development.

This paper will give a functional account of preposing the adverbial phrase, during the weekend in the embedded clause of the matrix sentence: “Nine people are believed to have been killed during the weekend.”The author would tend to de-emphasize grammatical explanations for theplacement of “during the weekend” and rather look at it functionally. For most purpose of communication, the placement of an adverbial phrase becomes significant only when a matrix sentence is being crafted for a particular purpose.The reader or listener would be unlikely to be consciously aware of the subtlety in this case, though the impact would be greater.The author would depend on context to choose how to use the clause, “ during the weekend”.Case 1: Nine people are believed to have been killed during the weekend.In this case people and their number come to the fore. The “who” context rather than the “when” context is considered more important. This style would be used if the writer or announcer considered the human tragedy more worthy of attention than the time context.Case 2: During the weekend, nine people are believed to have been killed.As in the case of a broadcast news report, the announcer would begin a news story with these words to set a time coontext. He or she would also use the words to provide continuity with a previous piece also set in that time period; however, in that case he or she would be more likely to say, “Also during the weekend”.Case 3: Nine people are believed, during the weekend, to have been killed.This is the least likely case. The author finds the sentence awkward. This would be used only if it were necessary to provide emphasis to both “nine people” and “killed”. A newscaster might say, “Horror has struck Montana! Nine people are believed, during the weekend, to have been killed. Police are still searching for the gunman who....”.
