This paper describes the microstructural effect of Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) thin film on micro-tribological properties. DLC thin films with density of 1.9-2.4 g/cm<SUP>3</SUP> were deposited on Silicon (111) surface by Plasma-Enhanced CVD method of the hot cathode PIG discharge type. The effect of deposition conditions on the microstructure of DLC thin film was evaluated by Raman spectroscopy. Increasing the bias voltage and the discharge current shifted the peak of the G-band shift toward high frequency and enlarged I (D)/I (G) ratio. Pin-on-Plate friction experiments were carried out using a diamond pin in high vacuum. The friction coefficients of DLC thin films indicated constant values during the friction. The friction coefficients increased with shifting G-band toward low frequency in the range above 1540 cm<SUP>-1</SUP>, but those did not vary with increasing I (D)/I (G). The friction coefficients were directly proportional to density of the film. Molecular orbital calculations revealed that the adhesion energy on the sp<SUP>3</SUP> bonding atom cluster was higher than that on the sp<SUP>2</SUP> bonding atom cluster.

The dependence of radiophotoluminescence (RPL) and photoluminescence (PL) properties on x-ray irradiation dose and heat-treatment after irradiation was investigated for Ag<sup>+</sup>-activated phosphate glass, which is practically used as glass dosimeter for individual monitoring of ionizing radiation. The RPL intensity was increased with increasing x-ray irradiation dose, while the PL intensity was oppositely decreased with x-ray dose. The glass exhibited the vice versa tendency between the PL and RPL changes for heat-treatment at 250&deg;C after x-ray irradiation, that is, the PL intensity was increased with annealing time, while RPL was decreased with annealing time. These results strongly support that the luminescence center of the PL is Ag<sup>+</sup> and the centers of yellow RPL and blue RPL are Ag<sup>2+</sup> and Ag<sup>0</sup>, respectively, which has been proposed in previous report. In addition, annealing temperature at 250&deg;C for 40 min made it possible to save much energy and time required for recovering the used glass dosimeter to initial condition before x-ray irradiation.<br>It was also found from the dose dependence of the RPL intensity that the RPL intensity was saturated around higher dose region than about 15Gy, which means that there is no linearity between RPL intensity and radiation dose in high dose region.

This paper describes the effect of density of Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) thin film on tribological property. DLC thin films having the density of 1.9-2.5 g/cm<SUP>3</SUP> were prepared on (111) of Silicon surface by the hot cathode PIG Discharge Type Plasma-Enhanced CVD method. Ball on disk friction experiments were carried out using diamond ball. The friction coefficients increased from 0.05 to 0.20 with increasing film density in the density range below 2.185 g/cm<SUP>3</SUP>, but those did not change above 2.185 g/cm<SUP>3</SUP>. The specific wear value also increased with increasing film density. The effect of film density on tribological property between DLC thin film and diamond pin was examined by molecular dynamics simulation. The diamond pin slides to uniaxial direction on DLC thin film having the density 1.5-3.0 g/cm<SUP>3</SUP>. Atoms of DLC thin film having the density of 1.5 g/cm<SUP>3</SUP> were moved most actively. Atomic movement being like to shear deformation was observed during frictional processes. The effect of film density on friction coefficients in MD simulations was similar to that in experiments qualitatively.

Osteonecrosis of the femoral head is usually progressive and once collapse of the femoral head develops, joint destruction almost invariably follows. Therefore, various methods of surgical treatment have been developed in an attempt to save the femoral head and maintain the natural function of the hip joint. We studied the histological findings of the necrotic lesion of cases of osteonecrosis of the femoral head following transtrochanteric anterior rotational osteotomy described by Sugioka and varus osteotomy. We were able to evaluate four hips followings osteotomy. They were all male with average age at operation being 36 years and with age range of 25-52 years. In two patients, osteonecrosis was associated with steroid administration and in he remaining two cases with alcohol abuse. According to the classification of the Japanese Investigation Committee, three hips were stage II and one was stage III. All four hips were obtained following removal of screws from 2 to 4 years postoperatively average of 2.9 years). The specimens were cut to thickness of 5&mu;m and were subjected to hematoxylin and eosin stain and Pas-Alcian blue stain. Histologically, in three cases the preoperative necrotic lesion remained as necrosis without reparative reaction and in one case proliferation of new fibrous connective tissue and blood vessels was observed in the necrotic lesion. Though the number of osteoblasts and osteocytes was decreased, the bone structure was well preserved, indicating that the purpose of femoral osteotomy was achieved. It is necessary in future to study cases with a longer postoperative course by delaying the time of bone biopsy.

アミノグリコシド系抗生物質であるnetilmicin (NTL) を測定するにあたり, 酸・塩基指示薬であるthymolphthalein (TP) およびmethylred (MR) をしみ込虫せた濾紙を用い, <I>Bacillus subtilis</I>の発生するCO<SUB>2</SUB>の酸性度により, この濾紙が変色する度合いを比色分析法によって測定した後, この変化量から試料中のNTLの量を求める新しいbioassay法について検討を行った。<I>B. subtilis</I>懸濁液, nutrient broth, 0.1Mリン酸塩緩衝液 (pH8.0) およびNTI水溶液をガラスバイアルに入れ, TP-MRおよびNaOHをしみ込ませた濾紙をパイアルのセプタムの内側に貼り付け, 3時間培養した。TP-MR濾紙は培地中の<I>B.subtilis</I>の生育に伴い変色 (脱色) し, その色はNTL濃度に依存した。この変色をコンプリメンタリートリスティミュラス法を利用し, pH依存性であるTP-MR濾紙の色を分光光度計で測定した結果, NTL濃度と滋紙の変色の間には十分な相関, y=0.0286x+ 0.0832;r (相関係数)=0.943, が得られた。本法は, 従来のbioassay法に比べて試験時間を13時間以上短縮することができ, NTLの簡便で有用な測定法であることが示唆された。

Biological resources are the basic infrastructure of bioscience research. Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a good experimental model for research in cereal crops and monocots and includes important genetic materials used in breeding. The availability of genetic materials, including mutants, is important for rice research. In addition, Oryza species are attractive to researchers for both finding useful genes for breeding and for understanding the mechanism of genome evolution that enables wild plants to adapt to their own habitats. NBRP-RICE contributes to rice research by promoting the usage of genetic materials, especially wild Oryza accessions and mutant lines. Our activity includes collection, preservation and distribution of those materials and the provision of basic information on them, such as morphological and physiological traits and genomic information. In this review paper, we introduce the activities of NBRP-RICE and our database, Oryzabase, which facilitates the access to NBRP-RICE resources and their genomic sequences as well as the current situation of wild Oryza genome sequencing efforts by NBRP-RICE and other institutes.

1) 調査対象は主として中高年齢層で8年から10年の長期間勤続した例が多い.このことは, 対象地に主婦労働を必要とする企業が誘致されるとすぐに就職した生活困難な低所得層であると解される.夫もブルーカラーが大半で2人で働いてもなおかつ生活は楽でない.したがって夫は妻の就労に賛成であり, 経済的期待がかなり大きい.<BR>2) 生活に余裕がないことは, 勤めに出ている理由のうち経済的理由の占める率が高いこと, 生計費が県平均よりかなり低いこと, 住居に持家が少なく狭いこと, 貯蓄の仕方が不定期で安定性がないなどに表われている.<BR>3) 主婦の家事労働を助ける機器が必要であるのにあまり使われていない.家事労働軽減のための機器の使用は娯楽的耐久消費財よりむしろおくれている.これは生活水準の低いためと低い生活意識によるものと考えられる.<BR>4) 家庭内における役割構造については概して夫より妻の役割が大きいが, これは家族周期がやや後期段階にわたることと妻の就労によって妻の地位が高められたものと考えられる.また, 家事の役割を分担するという家族習慣が形成されていないことが明らかになった.<BR>5) 対象の多くは結婚後初めて就職したので働く意識は全般に低いが, これからの女性の就労観について「家事と職業両立型」に賛成しており, 職業志向を示しているのは長い間の就労により養われたものかと考えられる.<BR>なお, 労務系の共稼ぎ主婦の生活構造の全般的把握は機会を改めて行なう予定である.

The Kannonkyôji located in Shibayama, Sambu gun, Chiba prefecture has handed down a Chinese painting with a scene of hungry ghosts. In the center of the composition, a hungry ghost sits in full lotus position on a boulder. There is a blue glass bowl on a rock to the right of this figure, and a bluish-green willow growing from a gold-colored water bottle placed inside the glass bowl. A white flag stands behind this arrangement. There is a circle above the ghost's head, and a seated image of Avalokitesvara is depicted within the circle. There is a red bench in front of the ghost with three bowls heaped with three kinds of food. Several starving ghosts attempt to grab the food from the bowls. Priests stand in the lower left of the composition, with a table in front of them holding gold-colored vase, incense burner, candlestick, and a seated figure of a Buddha. Arranged symmetrically with the priests are judges from hell and women who resemble those often seen in Ten Kings of Hell images. There is a rising cloud-like form to the right of the ghost and there are several human-shapes ascending to the heavens. Similar works can be found in the Shui Lu paintings (paintings of Buddhist and Taoist rituals), scroll number 139 from the Ming period preserved in the Bao Ning temple in Shanxi province. The sutra source for this image is either the Kubatsu enku gaki darani kyô translated in the Tang dynasty by Amoghavajra (705-774), or a different translation of the same sutra by the Tang dynasty Siksananda (625-710). These two sutras can be used to explain a considerable amount of the imagery appearing in this painting. And yet, they do not explain all of this work. For example, the imagery in the scene of the judge from hell seems to have been borrowed from a Ten Kings image. Similarly the issue of the Avalokiteśvara in a circle cannot be explained. It is well known that such hungry ghost paintings were created as one section of Shui Lu paintings (J: Suiriku-ga). The Shui Lu ritual services (J: Suiriku-e) are Buddhist ceremonies in which the gods of Buddhism and Taoism are summoned and offerings for the salvation of various ghosts are made, calling on the power of these many deities. The paintings of various deities related to Buddhism, various deities related to Taoism, salvation scenes, and demon-like figures are hung around the offering altar. However, the hungry ghost in Suiriku-ga is shown leading attendants, parading with his hands clasped in prayer. What then was the use of this image, with its demon placed facing directly forward, in large-scale, as if the central image of worship? This painting was very likely the central image of worship for a rite known as a Yugaenku. This is a Chinese Buddhist ritual that is extremely close in nature to the Japanese Segaki-e, or rite to save ghosts. In the Yugaenku rite, the hungry ghost is set up as an avatar of Avalokitesvara and is recognized as the savior of the masses. This is why an Avalokiteśvara image has been added to this painting. In Japan, the Suiriku-e name is almost never used, and in the case of paintings like this Suiriku-ga, or Yugaenku painting brought from China, the elements of these works which relate to those rites seem to have not been properly recognized, and these paintings were not necessarily used in rites in Japan.

This study was an effort to clarify in the taleʠSuisen-zuki no yokkaʡwhat meaningthe blizzardʠSuisen-zuki no yokkaʡhas for each of the main characters in the tale: the old snow woman, the snow boy and the child wrapped in a red blanket, and to elucidate how the snow boy saves the childʼs life in the blizzard, so as to determine the general relationship between formation of intrinsic reality in a human being and creation of extrinsic reality by god or goddess of nature. For this investigation, the hypothesis had been put forward that Miyazawa Kenji, author of and chef in"The Restaurant of Many Ordersʡ, a collection of tales including the above, ask readers or customers in his restaurant to appreciate intrinsic reality formed in the characters in his tales.Being bottled up inside her own circuits, like Narcissus in Greek mythology, the oldsnow woman saysʠSuisen-zuki no yokkaʡ, so as to mean nothing but the blizzard itself that she determines to promote here and now. The snow boy takes the old snow womanʼs ʠSuisen-zuki no yokkaʡfor the objective blizzard in the nighttime on the eve of Risshun, the first day of spring or February the 4th in the calendar year. The child wrapped in a red blanket takes the blizzard he encounters for a sleeping time dreaming of homemade candy since falling over in the storm and being covered with lots of quilts of snow. The child survives in the blizzard because of the snow boyʼs penetrating insight, practical knowledge and skilful actions, or cries that generate effective responses from entities in the universe: snow produced instead of spring rain by the big blue fire of the invisible Cassiopeia in response to his cry for bring spring rain, his intention to save the child, which is sensibly concealed from the old snow woman, his correct methods for preventing hypothermia of the child, and responses of both the child and father to his action resulting in the latter finding the former safe and sound covered with snow.The relationship between formation of intrinsic reality and creation of extrinsicreality in the tale can be summarized; upon perceiving or taking account of extrinsic reality, different intrinsic reality is formed in each of the main characters in the tale;extrinsic reality is created based upon intrinsic reality originated in god or goddess ofnature, whether it is created directly by the old snow woman, a narcissistic unresponsive goddess of nature or it is created indirectly by entities in the universe that respond to kind actions, or cries of the snow boy, a willing helper god of nature. Intrinsic reality in a human being formed by perception of extrinsic reality can touch intrinsic realityoriginated in god or goddess of nature, because extrinsic reality is created by intrinsic reality originated in god or goddess of nature. The intrinsic reality in a human being that touches intrinsic reality in god or goddess of nature transcends subjectivity, and thus is equivalent toʠmental sketchʡ, an expression by Miyazawa Kenji for his commonly called tales or poems, which is universal, as he claims, among all the human beings down in their hearts.

<p>Aim. We are in charge of the central diagnosis and cell preservation as a part of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment study in Tokyo children's cancer study group. It is necessary to diagnose with a minimal quantity of specimen, to preserve leukemic cells effectively as possible. On the other hand, recent progress in multi-color flow cytometry enable to analyze cell marker of leukemia in more detail. We therefore we intended to perform a immuno-phenotypic diagnosis of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia by nine-color analysis with digital flow cytometer.</p><p>Methods. We examined cell markers of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells by nine-color analysis using digital flow cytometers. We decided the combination of the monoclonal antibodies for nine color analysis based on the recommendation of Japan Pediatric Leukemia/Lymphoma Study Group using commercially available fluorescence-laveled antibodies.</p><p>Results. Nine colors that we used in this study were fluorescein isothyocyanate, phycoerythrin (PE), phycoerythrin-Texas Red, Peridinin Chlorophyll Protein - cyanin (Cy) 5.5, PE-Cy7, allophycocyanin (APC), APC-Cy7, Pacific Blue, and Cascade Yellow. Using list mode compensation, nine color marker analysis of childhood leukemia was easy to perform.</p><p>Discussion. Although several problems need to be solved are present, nine-color analysis using digital flow cytometer is useful to obtain precise information of antigen expression as well as save precious specimen of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia.</p>

障害を理由とする差別の解消の推進に関する法律(障害者差別解消法)が2016年4月から施行されたことにより、高等教育機関において障害学生への合理的配慮の提供が求められることとなった。独立行政法人日本学生支援機構(以下、機構)が2016年5月に公開した「平成27年(2015年度)大学、短期大学及び高等専門学校における障害のある学生の修学支援に関する実態調査分析報告」によると、発達障害(診断書有)の人数は、3,442人で、昨年度(2,722人)から720人の増であり、このうち支援障害学生は2,564人で前年度(1,856人)より708人の増であった。同機構が行った実態調査分析報告では、発達障害者支援法で定義づけられた三種類の診断カテゴリーの中で、高機能自閉症等の割合が最も高くなっている。文部科学省の調査では小・中学校においてLD等の学習の問題がある児童生徒の人数が最も多いとされていることを考えると、現時点では、学習上の問題がある児童生徒が大学まで進学することが難しい状況があるのではないかと推察できるとともに、未診断の学生の中に、LDの学生がいる可能性も否定できないとしている。支援内容に関しては、「授業支援」として、「配慮依頼文書の配布」が全体の40.9%となっているか、授業に直接関わる合理的配慮の提供等、具体的な項目まで明らかにされてはいない。「授業以外の支援」が充実している状況と比べて、授業支援に関わる項目の少なさが今後の課題として挙げることができる。

本調査の目的は,妊娠後期から出産後2年間の女性の心理・社会的状態と育児に対する意識,及びその影響要因について分析することである.本報は,妊娠後期の心理・社会的状態について分析を行った.1.対象と方法:対象者は,札幌市内8ヵ所及び道内7ヵ所の産婦人科病院または総合病院で妊婦健診を受け,研究に同意の得られた妊娠28週以降の妊婦である.調査期間は,平成12年3月下旬から5月上旬である.調査方法は,外来受診時,依頼文書,質問紙を渡し,郵送によって回収した.調査内容は,調査者が作成した29項目からなる心配尺度の質問紙(丸山知子.心身医.1999),ローゼンバーグ(1965)のセルフエスティーム(SE),及びエジンバラ産後うつ病調査票(EPDS)を用いた.2.結果:妊婦695名に配布し,467名より回収(回収率67.2%),そのうち有効回答数は465名であった.(1)対象の背景は,初妊婦61.5%,経妊婦38.5%,平均年齢は28.9歳,最終学歴は高校卒業が最も多く48.1%であった.家族構成は核家族が83.0%,拡大家族は10.8%であった.職業は,専業主婦が70.8%,有職者は28.0%であった.(2)心配尺度とEPDSは0.618,SEは-0.448で各々有意に相関があった(p<0.001).(3)妊婦の援助者は実母が最も多く(59.8%),次いで夫であった(43.4%).今回の妊娠は,計画的43.9%,計画外23.2%,どちらでもよかった30.1%であった.(4)妊娠中の心配尺度が平均3以上の項目は,夫の育児への協力,夫が側にいてほしいという夫のサポートと,妊娠前の容姿にもどるか気になる,体重が気になるという身体的イメージに関する項目であった.この他,育児や子供の健康状態,疲労感,体調不良,いらいら等,心身疲労や情緒不安定も70%以上の者にみられた.(5)心配尺度と年齢,学歴,計画の有無,妊娠歴,職業,援助者との関連をみた.その結果,初妊婦,計画外妊娠では心配尺度が有意に高かった.

同志社大学今出川キャンパスから近世の鏡作において使用されたと考えられる鋳型が出土した。鏡の文様を表現する真土にあたる部分は残っておらず、真土を塗りつける部分にあたる粗土が出土した。供伴した陶磁器の年代観から18世紀後半のものと考えられる。出土した鋳型を報告するなかで、近世の粗型製作技法と鏡の鋳造方法についての2つの可能性を指摘した。
