ロシア,ウラル地域チェリャビンスク州に隕石が落下し,天体衝突による自然災害が発生した.隕石落下から43日後の3月30日に出発し,現地に赴いた.チェバルクリ湖の氷上には隕石落下の傷跡が,市街地には被害状況が残されていた.現地では,隕石爆発地点の計測,隕石落下地域の推定と隕石が採集された場所の確認,市街地の被害状況等を視察した.調査の過程で隕石を含む貴重な関連資料を収集することができた.本稿では調査全般について,及び調査で得られた知見について報告する.

紀伊半島南部に分布する古第三系~新第三系の牟婁(むろ)層群佐本川(さもとがわ)層は,四万十帯南帯の付加体を構成する砂岩・泥岩互層である.そのなかには堆積物がまだ未固結時に形成されたさまざまな規模の褶曲構造が見られる.写真は和歌山県西牟婁郡すさみ町口和深(くちわぶか)付近の海岸で観察される褶曲の好例である.かつて重力性のスランプ褶曲と考えられていたが,場所によって褶曲軸の倒れる方向が正反対のものもあることから,現在では付加体形成時の高間隙水圧下で形成された構造と判断されている.とくに目を引くこの褶曲露頭は,付近の小字(こあざ)の地名である天鳥(あまどり)にちなむ「フェニックス褶曲」という愛称をもつ.中央の「>」状褶曲上部の水平部分の長さは約5 mあり,迫力のある景観を提供している.ちなみに,この露頭を観察するためには,事前に南紀熊野ジオパークセンターを通じてガイドツアーに申し込む必要がある.(写真・説明:小松原純子 2023年3月28日撮影)

髄膜炎-尿閉症候群(meningitis-retention syndrome,MRS,尿閉と無菌性髄膜炎の同時発症)は,原因不明の急性尿閉をみた場合,一度は考慮すると良い疾患と思われる.最近さらに,MRSで髄膜刺激症状が無く,髄液異常のみを呈する不全型も知られるようになってきた.尿閉の病態機序として,脊髄内の排尿下行路の比較的選択的障害が推定されている.多発性硬化症,急性散在性脳脊髄炎,脊髄炎等はいずれも副腎皮質ステロイド剤などの免疫治療を要する一方,MRSは自然軽快することが多い.ステロイドパルス療法がMRSの経過を短縮するか否かについては,今後の検討が必要と思われる.MRSでは,急性期の尿閉を適切に対処し,膀胱過伸展を防ぐことが重要と思われる.

Surface temperature distributions of tree crowns were examined with thermo-couples and infrared thermal images in June and October. As to the temperature difference between the crown surface and the ambient air, thermo-couples show partially higher surface temperatures in the daytime by 8℃ at the highest. However the temperature difference obtained with the thermal images ranges from -2〜0℃ to -2〜2℃. Since the thermal images directly show the radiative temperature distribution, it is concluded the average radiative temperature on the tree crowns is almost as same as the ambient air temperature.

1. The cage used in the present study is a rectangular parallelopiped from, about 250cm×90cm at the base, and 850cm in height. 11 perches of tree branches are set in the cage, and the cage is divided into 9 sections (Fig.1). The names and numbers of the birds are shown in Table 1. Observations were made from Sept.27 to Oct.27,1956,in two periods separated by the transpositions of perches on Oct.10. 2. Interspecific antagonism is found in peckings and avnidances. Their frequencies are shown in Tables 2 and 3,which suggest the existence of the linear dominance-order among species. 3. The vertical distribution of each species observed in the cage is summarized in Fig.2. Apparently the individuals of Psittaciformes are found in the upper region of the cage (Sect.5-Sect.9), the individuals of Columbiformes in the lower (Sect.1), and the individuals of Passerlfomes in the middle. This segregation is probably derived from the differences of the life-forms of each Order. In the same Order, there are two types of interspecific distributions : the separating type, for example, Psittacus eyanocephala and Melopsittacus undulatus observed in the latter period, and the overlapping type, for example, Agapornis roseicollis and A. lilianae. Further observations reveal that the individuais of each species make species-flocks even in the overlapping type and they often exchange the perches (see Fig.3.) The principle of "habitat-segregation", proposed by K.IMANISHI (1941), is thus realized at all times. Only Taeniopygia castanotis and Uroloncha striata often make hetero-specific flocks together.

Magnets are key materials for the electrification of mobility and also for the generation and transformation of electric energy. Research and development in recent decades lead to high performance magnets, which require a finely tuned microstructure to serve applications with ever increasing requirements. Besides optimizing already known materials and the search on novel material combinations, an increasing interest in unconventional processing techniques and the utilization of magnetic concepts is apparent. Severe plastic deformation (SPD), in particular by high-pressure torsion (HPT) is a versatile and suitable method to manufacture microstructures not attained so far, but entitling different magnetic coupling mechanisms fostering magnetic properties. In this work, we review recent achievements obtained by HPT on soft and hard magnetic materials, focusing on powder as starting materials. Furthermore, we give specific attention to the formation of magnetic composites and highlight the opportunities of powder starting materials for HPT to exploit magnetic interaction mechanisms.

沖縄県南大東島において,2005年6月に巣内で捕食者に左翼をもぎ取られたオスのリュウキュウコノハズクOtus elegansのヒナを保護し,飼育する機会を得た.生後三年目2007年12月までの広告声(ホーホ鳴き)と飼育ケージ内の巣に見立てられた樹洞を引っ掻く行動の季節的変化を記録した.生後二年目2006年9月の換羽時期に初列風切が最後に抜けた14日後にはじめて広告声を発した.樹洞を引っ掻く行動は,生後三年目2007年3月にはじめて記録され,6月に最初の初列風切が抜け始める8日前まで続いた.

本研究はMV独自の表現を確かめることを目的として、実際のMV60作品を対象に、楽曲と映像の組み合わせの特徴を、作品の長さ、登場人物、編集の3点に注目して分析した。その結果、MVには、作品の長さは楽曲の長さとほぼ合致すること、9割を超える作品で歌手が出演していること、多くの作品が100前後のカット数で成り立つことが分かった。また、各項目同士の関係から、作品の長さは楽曲の制約を強く受けること、MVにおいて歌手は9割を超える作品に出演しているものの、それだけでは成立しづらく、その他の演出が行われること、テンポとカット割については弱い正の相関があることが分かった。以上の結果を映像と楽曲の関係から考察した。

自転車は,クランクの構造上,踏力トルクが一定ではなく変動するため,電動アシスト自転車で現在主流となっている比例制御による踏力アシストでは,アシスト後の駆動トルクも変動する.本研究では,繰返し制御を電動アシスト自転車に実装することで,駆動トルクの変動を抑え,滑らかな加速の実現を目指す.本稿では,実験環境の構築,電動アシスト自転車のモデリング,繰返し制御を用いたアシスト制御系の設計例を示す.滑らかな加速により,発進時や登坂時のふらつきを軽減し,転倒防止を図る.

A Straight Twisted Polymeric Fiber Actuator (STPFA) has attracted attention as a new rotational actuator because it is soft, lightweight, silent, and inexpensive. It can rotate when heating, and be back when cooling. However, it is difficult to improve the response, especially in the cooling phase when using natural cooling. In order to improve the response in natural cooling, antagonistical actuation is one of the effective methods. However, the diactivated-side actuator generates a disturbance-like torque when the other-side actuator is activated due to its passive torsional spring-like characteristics. In order to realize the antagonistical actuating module using a pair of rotational-type STPFA, in this paper, the models are constructed that can estimate the torque generated at both ends of an antagonistically arranged rotational STPFA from the change in heater resistance. A sensorless output torque control method is proposed for the total torque obtained as the difference between the torques at the two ends using the proposed STPFA models. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through fundamental experiments using a prototype module.

目的:性暴力被害者に対する看護支援に関する研究の動向を検討し,今後の看護実践への示唆と研究課題を明らかにする。 方法:国内文献はキーワード「性暴力被害」とし『医中誌Web版』にて検索した52件を,外国文献はキーワード「rape victim」「sexual assault victim」「nurse」とし『PubMed』と『CINAHL』にて検索した39件を分析対象とした。年次推移別,研究内容別,研究方法別,研究対象別に分析した。 結果:国内では看護者による具体的なケアを検討した内容はほとんどなく,総説が7割以上を占め,質的研究はみられなかった。これに対し,海外では日本より約20年早く研究が開始され,看護者や実際の支援場面が取り上げられており,量的研究約3割,質的研究約2割であった。結論:日本においては内閣府による性暴力被害者支援施策が進められており,看護者が主体となって支援することが求められている。看護者の支援内容を具現化する研究や,看護者へのケアに関する研究の必要性が示唆された。

生物の組織を用いたタンパク質分解酵素の作用を確認する実験系の開発を行った.動物の組織を用いることは難しいので,タンパク質分解酵素を含む植物の果実を利用した.タンパク質の消化の観察には,分子レベルで視覚的にとらえられるSDS-ポリアクリルアミドゲル電気泳動法を用いた.基質には牛乳を使用し,それらを果汁と混合することにより,タンパク質の低分子化が時間とともに進んでいく様子が確認できた.中でもパインアップル,キウイでは顕著なプロテアーゼ活性が認められた.本実験は「生物」における「酵素の作用」の学習および探究学習にも有効に活用できる教材と考えられる.

This study aims to evaluate the academic activities of female neurosurgeons at all branch meetings of the Japan Neurosurgical Society and identify related issues they encountered. The programs of all seven branch meetings of the Japan Neurosurgical Society (Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kinki, Chugoku/Shikoku, and Kyushu) were used to determine the number of presentations and chairpersons by sex. The covered period was from January 2008 to December 2020, which was available for viewing during the survey. Of note, only the Kinki branch used data from January 2008 to December 2019. The Neurologia Medico-chirurgica (NMC), the journal of the Japan Neurosurgical Society, was also reviewed to identify publication achievements during the same period. In all seven branches, the percentage of presentations given by female physicians increased from 7.9% in 2008 to 9.6% in 2020 (p < 0.05).Conversely, the percentage of female chairpersons in all branch meetings did not change over time and it was significantly lower (1.1%) than that of female presenters (7.9%) for all branch meetings combined in over 13 years (p < 0.01). In the NMC, the number of articles with female physicians as first authors did not increase or decrease over the years. We conclude that efforts to smoothly promote female neurosurgeons as chairpersons and increase the number of female first authors are necessary to facilitate their academic activities.

「働き方改革」により柔軟な働き方が広まりつつあるが、社会のインフラを支える24時間シフト制の職種は一定数存在する。体内時計とのズレにより生じるシフトワーカーの疾病や傷害を予防し、生産性と社会秩序を維持するためにも時間栄養学に基づく「食べ方改革」が望まれる。本研究では、1)食べる時刻(朝・昼・夕・夜間)や活動・睡眠時間帯を考慮した「食べ方改革レシピ」と「食べ方改革ルール」を開発し、2)夜間勤務のある事業所での介入研究により効果を検証する。最終目的は、一億総活躍社会をめざす「働き方改革」の中で勤務時間の変更が難しい夜間・シフト勤務者の健康を「食」で下支えし、活力ある社会の実現に貢献することである。
