ウィルスを検出・除去するメールゲートウェイを導入以来,宛先不明のspamメールによるDoS(Denial of Service)攻撃をしばしば受けるようになった.そのため,OUNET(Oita University computer Network)の15台のメールサーバのユーザアカウントについてLDAPを用いて集中管理する統合メール管理システムを導入し,メールゲートウェイで,そのLDAPデータベースを参照することにより,宛先不明のメールをメールゲートウェイで拒否することができるようにした.従来,それぞれ独自のポリシで運用してきた各メールサーバのメールアカウントについて,この統合メール管理システムでは,ドメインごとに独立して管理できるように設計した.本論文では,我々が行ってきたspamメール対策,統合メール管理システムの必要性,構成,機能について述べ,さらに,現在までの運用状況について述べる.We often have DoS (Denial of Service) attacks by wrongly addressed spam mail ever since we introduced a mail gateway against computer viruses. Against that attacks, we introduced a mail account management system for 15 mail servers in OUNET (Oita University computer Network). Referring mail account database in that system by LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), it is possible to deny the wrongly addressed e-mail on the mail-gateway. We design that system to manage mail account of each sub-domain independently. This paper shows the structure, function and utilization of the system.

Aiming to discover the impact that ICU has had on its alumni, a questionnaire was mailed to all alumni whose addresses were available. Out of approximately 2200, 547 or approximately 25% were returned. Alumni evaluation of their international expriences at ICU indicates that it has bee extraordinarily useful and important. This includes language training, the library, experience with an international faculty, students and program and life in inter-national dormitories. These aspects have been successful far beyond reasonable expectations. ICU is thus well prepared for continued leadership in meeting emerging challenges of education with orientation to crucial global problems. Major studies, general education, interaction with the faculty, academic advisement, finacial and work experiences are rated "adequate," "very" or "especially" useful by a large portion of the alumni. This would seem to be a very creditable achievement, for all of these aspects of the ICU program are quite unique in the higher education of Japan. The minority of alumni who found them of "little" or "no" use provides a solid challenge for improvement. Compared with other aspects of the ICU program, religious experience on the campus has a low rating. But there are reasons to believe that in a predominantly non-Christian society and student body the ICU religious life and program on the campus has great strength. It faces the ubiquitous problem of keeping dialogue open with disinterested critical and disaffected students without intimidating or pressuring them. Effective placement of half of the graduates of a new university in Japan is a creditable achievement. But the other half, not satisfactorily placed, leaves no room for complacency. Extra-curricular cultural and recreational clubs are rated as "adequate," "very" or "especially" useful by a substantial majority of alumni. The absence of student goverment during the past six years seems to indicate that all constituencies underestimate their potential contribution to major objectives of ICU. Increasingly alumni have come to see little or no use in student government or the newspaper, though most of them are inclined to regard them with some importance. In 1949, ICU was projected as an international, Christian institution with the highest academic standards. It was to be a laboratory where adminstration, faculty and students could study and experience the values and process of democracy and Christian brotherhood. It has been outstandingly successful in some respects, moderately successful in other respects and disappointingly unsuccessful in a few respects. The nature of ICU's strengths and weaknesses are revealed in many dimensions by this study. ICU as a venture in higher education has prepared its constituencies to move into the second quarter century with courage, resourcefulness and enlightenment to strengthen what has proven uniquely useful, to improve what has been moderately successful, to cope with what has been its greatest weaknesses, to continue its commitment to purposes of abiding significance and to accept new challenges unique to time and place. This is both an opportunity and responsibility of all constituencies. The main challenge is to the faculty and administration. But it is, in some important respect, a responsibility of students. Some of the weaknesses revealed by alumni may indeed be the result of their disinterest or efforts to avoid that which they later regarded as very useful and important. Finally the future of ICU depends in great part on policies of the trustees built on familiarity with the strengths, weaknesses and potential of the institution.

周回衛星による移動体衛星通信サービス開始を数年後に控え,またほぼ同じ時期にアジアを中心とした静止衛星による同様なサービスが計画されている.一方わが国では,静止衛星を対象に技術開発要素の大きい分野を中心として衛星搭載機器の研究開発を進めている.本稿では,このような状況を踏まえ,静止衛星による移動体通信では不可欠な大型展開アンテナについてその技術の動向と将来の展望を概説する.

スメアー層が付着したままの研削象牙質への光重合型レジンの接着を目的として研究を行ってきた.拡散力の高いPhenyl-Pを含むボンディング剤を用いると6MPaの接着強さが得られた.しかし長期水中浸漬すると1年後に接着強さは3MPaに低下し長期接着安定性に欠けることが解った.これは十分量のモノマーが拡散できなかったためにスメアー層との樹脂含浸層が弱くなったためである.より多くのモノマーを拡散させるために研削象牙質の物質透過性を向上させる方法を検討したところ, 5, 10%Phenyl-Pと30%HEMAを溶解した水溶液で処理しても1μm以下の樹脂含浸層は形成されるが, 接着強さは向上しなかった.しかし20, 30, 40%Phenyl-Pと30%HEMAを溶解した水溶液で研削面を処理すると, 接着強さは1.5倍の10MPaに向上し, SEM, TME観察により2μmの樹脂含浸層の生成を確認することができた.研削象牙質に強固な接着強さを得るためには, 健全象牙質まで十分にモノマーを拡散させなければならないことが解った.

多国籍企業にとって社内プロジェクトマネジメントの標準化は,各国で培われたベストプラクティスの存在と,共通基盤となるグローバルスタンダードとのコンビネーションが必要になる.ビジネスがますますグローバルに展開される今日,効果的・効率的なPM標準の確立は重要な課題である.欧州と米国の企業合併により活動している弊社は,PMI/PMBOKとPRINCE2の融合をベースとした実践的な体系を定義している.これらの体系は,事業展開を推し進めるためにプログラムマネージャーとプロジェクトマネージャーの双方にとっての共有基盤となりつつある.今,我が社においてプログラムオフィスとプロジェクトオフィスの連携により,PM標準の見直しとPM要員の育成が開始された.

本稿では想起エレメント法を用い、学生の豊田高専周辺の環境についての意識を調査、分析した。その結果は以下のようにまとめられた。1)生活(居住)年数が増すごとに周辺の環境を認知する度合いは増すが、比例的に増加するのではなく、1年から3年の間に急速に増加し、それ以後は緩やかであることが明らかとなった。2)ショッピングセンター、商店施設等は女性の認知が高く、「買い物」に関しては女性のほうが周辺環境を意識していると考えられた。3)徒歩、自転車を移動手段とする学生の想起率には大きな差異は無かった。しかし、車(バイク)に乗ることにより、行動範囲が広がり、周辺環境の認知が大きく高まることが明らかとなった。4)個人の年齢、移動手段等に左右されるものの、中心となるのは梅坪駅、豊田市駅周辺であり、そこから半径約3km以内であると推測できた。また、建築物の認知についても、外観だけではなく、立地、用途等によって認知に差が現れることが確認できた。

日本古来の浮世絵は, 最も広く世界に行き渡った絵画形式であり, 西洋文化に対する芸術的衝撃, 特に多くの印象派の画家たちに与えた影響は"ジャポニズム"と言われる文化現象として知られている. 1823年ごろに刷られた葛飾北斎の浮世絵"四日市"の赤色の着色料(R1〜R3)と黄色の着色料(Y1〜Y3), そして1821年ごろに刷られた五渡亭国貞の浮世絵"木母寺暮雪"の青色の着色料(B1〜B3)について, それらの非破壊分析を光ファイバーを用いる三次元スペクトル法によって実施した. 色刷り標準試料のそれぞれと三次元蛍光スペクトルの等高線図を比較した結果, 赤色の着色料はベニバナの花弁から得られた染料"サフラワー", 黄色の着色料はウコンの根から得られた染料"ターメリック", そして青色の染料は藍の葉から得られた染料"インジゴチン"であることが明らかとなった.

Although the pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic actions of aldosterone on the vasculature have been reported, the effects and molecular mechanisms of aldosterone on endothelial function are yet to be determined. We investigated how aldosterone regulates endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) function in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). HUVECs were incubated for 16hrs with 10^<-7>mol/l of aldosterone. The concentration of reactive oxygen species (ROS) was estimated by measuring DCF chemiluminescence. Signal transduction was estimated by Western immunoblots. Realtime RT-PCR was performed to measure expression of transcripts of endogenous GTP cyclohydrolase-1 (GCH1) and components of NAD(P)H oxidase. In order to eliminate the possible effect of the glucocorticoid receptor (GR), and to emphasize the role of mineralocorticoid receptor (MR), we used GR siRNA and knocked down GR expression in several experiments. NO output was estimated by intracellular CGMP concentration. ROS production increased significantly in aldosterone-treated HUVEC, but was abolished by pre-treatment with eplerenone. Transcripts of p47^<phox> were increased by aldosterone treatment. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced eNOS Ser 1177 but not Akt Ser 473 phosphorylation levels were reduced significantly by pretreatment with aldosterone. Pretreatment with either eplerenone or okadaic acid restored phosphorylation levels of eNOS Ser 1177 in aldosterone-treated cells, suggesting that protein phosphatase (PP) 2A was upregulated by aldosterone via MR. The decrease in NO output caused by aldosterone pretreatment was reversed significantly by either 5,6,7,8-tetrahydrobiopterin (BH_4), GCH1 over-expression, or p47^<phox> knockdown. These results suggest that aldosterone inhibits eNOS function through bimodal mechanisms of BH_4 deficiency and PP2A activation.

ウマ卵巣より作出したcDNAライブラリーより, ウマインヒビンαサブユニット前駆タンパク質をコードするcDNAを単離した. ラットインヒビンαサブユニットcDNAの配列を基にプライマーを設計し, ラット卵巣RNAを用いたRT-PCR法によりスクリーニング用のプローブを作製した. 1.2×10^5個のプラークより19個の陽性クローンが得られた. そのうちの一つ(Eq-α-11)は, 367個のアミノ酸をコードする完全長のタンパク質翻訳領域を含んでいることが確認された. cDNAの塩基配列より推定されるウマインヒビンαサブユニット前駆タンパク質及び成熟タンパク質のアミノ酸配列は他の6種類の哺乳動物 (ウシ, ブタ, ヒツジ, ヒト, ラット, マウス) のものと比較して80%以上の相同性を有していた. ノーザンブロット法によりウマ卵胞及び精巣に存在するインヒビンαサブユニットmRNAのサイズは1.5 kbであることが判明した.

But I have no doubt that the knotty adenomatous type is observed most frequently on the prostatic hypertrophy.

In this paper, the vibration system of a piano string and a sound board (Fig. 1) is analyzed by the finite element method (Fig. 2). The string is stretched with constant tension P between the upper bearing and the lower bearing, and is assumed to be completely flexible. The mass point m are distributed along the string at equal distances, and m_1 indicates the upper bearing, m_&lt103&gt the lower bearing, m_&lt97&gt the equlivalent mass of the sound board, and k the spring constant. It is also assumed that the mass-point of the hammer m_H collides with the point m_N on the string with an initial velocity x^^^. _H, that they repel each other according to Newton's law, and that m_N is decelerated by the tension P. Then it collides with m_H again, and this series of motions is repeated. These motions of all points m_i, m_H, m_N are expressed by Eqs. (1), (2), and (3). The flow diagram of the program is shown in Fig. 6. The calculated values by this simulation program and the measured values of an actual piano are presented in Figs. 7 and 8. Comparisons between them show good agreement.

実験的膀胱癌誘発剤であるN-butyl-N-(4-hydroxybutyl) nitrosamine (以下BBN) の0.025%水溶液をラットに経口投与し, 投与5週目からラットinterferon-α (以下IFN-α) を0.1m1 (5×105units/kg/ml) 筋肉内注射し, 以後発癌に至るまでの膀胱の肉眼的変化と病理組織学的変化及びNatural Killer活性 (以下NK活性) の変化を経時的に検討した.1) BBN+IFN-α群の膀胱重量は, 膀胱粘膜に肥厚や血管増生などの肉眼的変化を認めるBBN投与10〜14週の時期 (A期) ではBBN群の膀胱重量と差は見られなかったが, 腫瘍が観察されるBBN投与15〜19週 (B期), 及び20〜30週 (C期) では, 前者重量は後者重量に比べて有意に小さかった.2) A期, C期における発癌率はBBN+IFN-α群の方がBBN群より低かった.3) B期, C期における膀胱癌の悪性度及び浸潤度は, BBN+IFN-α群の方がBBN群に比べて低かった.4) NK活性はA期では両群間に差は見られなかったが, B期ではBBN+IFN-α群の方がBBN群に比べて上昇していた.5) 以上の結果より, IFN-αはBBN誘発ラット膀胱癌の実験系において発癌過程から抗腫瘍的に作用していることが想定された.

腎細胞癌に対する化学療法の第4報として、インターフェロンの有効性について、リンパ芽球由来のhuman lymphoblastoid interferon(α型)を用いて検討した。1)転移のある腎細胞癌患者19例に対し、連日投与60回以上できた症例について効果を判定した。CRはなく、PR2例、MR3例、NC4例、PD5例で、有効率は35.7%(5/14)と従来の抗癌剤にない高い有効率を示した。現段階では腎細胞癌の第1選択薬剤として使用すべきと考える。2)効果の発現は20回から60回投与の間で起こり、それ故、効果の判定は60回以上投与後に行うべきと考える。3)性、年齢、腫瘍の大きさは有効率を左右しない。low grade症例は4/7の有効率であり、high grade症例は1/7で、特にlow gradeの腎細胞癌には第一選択剤として使用する価値のある薬剤である。4)最大の副作用は全身倦怠と食欲不振で、しばしばこのために治療中止をせざるを得なくなる。骨髄抑制はじめ他の副作用は軽微である。
