イネ科作物の分枝は分げつと呼ばれる.植物学的には側芽が発達した分枝であるが,わが国ではこのように呼ばれ,学術用語として位置づけられている.分げつの出現や成長,つまり分げつ性は種や品種によって特徴があり,その特徴が草型を特徴づけている.また,作物生産においては子実収量,バイオマス生産に直結する要素で,その消長は栽培の良否,施肥の適期,生育相を知る主要な手段として活用されている.一方,研究分野においても,その推移,規則性,他分げつとの相互関係の解析は,品種の特性,生育の特性,生育の良否を知る手段として重要な意味を持つ.分げつに関しては,分化発達,種や品種と分枝構造との関係,環境条件や栽培条件との関係など,興味深い側面を多々含むが,本稿では主にイネの分げつについて,基本となる表記や呼称,生育の様相,規則性,調査方法を述べることとした.

The Kyudo (Japanese archery) is a most popular sport among Japanese as the Judo and Japanese fencing. Even some their athletes had complains of neck pain, joint pain and back pain, the investigations in the orthopaedic aspect were rare as compared with the Judo and Japanese fencing.The orthopaedical questionnaire were made to one hundred twenty-two athletes from eighteen to seventy-eight years old, average forty-three old, and the analysis by roentgenological and clinical findings were made to thirty athletes who were had severe troubles.The results were as follows :1) Because of most disorders were localized about the upper-extremity as main action were using of arm muscles, there were discovered the osteoarthritis and osteochondro-matosis of the elbow joint, periarthritis of the shoulder joint, atrophy of the deltoid and supra-infraspinatus muscles, injury of the hand and back pain.2) To prevent these disorders, we emphasized the necessity of warming-up and other systematic exercise as usually.3) We had obtained the conclusion that the periodical examination was most important for early diagnosis and procedures of over ten years experienced athletes.

日本住血吸虫症に随伴した直腸癌及びS状結腸巨大ポリープ集落の各1例を資料とし, 前者標本全域の虫卵の分布を算え, 且癌境界部の粘膜の厚さと組成とを測定し, 計測病理組織学見地より若干の考察を企てた. 1) 虫卵は癌巣内及びそれより肛門側に皆無, 2) 粘膜下層全体の虫卵と直腸全体のそれと略等しい, 3)虫卵による異物炎は殆んどない, 4) 虫卵と上皮腺の増殖とは特に関係せぬ. 5) 癌境界域の組成と厚さとは全周で極めて不整, 6) 6mmの厚さは全て癌巣よりなるが4mm~2mmは正常粘膜内又は下に入りこんだ癌との総和である, 7) 癌の側方伸展は甚だ強烈, 8) 癌化腺と非癌腺との境は常に鋭利且鮮明, 癌化の過程を実像として追跡不可能, 9) 境界部も虫卵に乏しい, 10) 粘膜腺増殖は全く非特異的, 11) 随伴癌成り立ちの因果性は薄弱.

情報通信技術の進歩に伴い,マルチメディア情報通信技術の高次化への期待が高まっている。その方向の一つは,より自然でリアルなコミュニケーションシステムの実現であろう。そのためには,情報の受け手である人を意識し,臨場感や迫真性,自然性など高度感性情報の創出技術及びその評価技術を確立していく必要がある。本稿では,まず,従来用いられてきた感性情報である臨場感を取り上げ,質問紙調査から得られたデータに基づき,臨場感の本質とは何かについて議論を行う。次に,背景的・空間的な「場」の本物らしさに関係すると考えられる臨場感に対して,前景情報を中心とした本物らしさに関連すると考えられる感性印象である「迫真性」を取り上げ,両者の相違について論じ,今後の感性評価に対して,提案を行う。

Rehabilitation is a co-creative medical service that strongly requires patient involvement. Encouraging patients to continue rehabilitation is an important role of medical services, and evaluation technology is also important from that perspective. The evaluation technology for rehabilitation was developed from the physical structure evaluation using medical images to the physical function evaluation using motion capture, ground reaction force and digital human models. Also, the idea that what should be restored is not only physical function but also daily-living function has been advocated, and standard description and evaluation of daily-living functioning have been promoted since the latter half of the 1990s. Furthermore, since 2000, research to evaluate functional recovery of the cranial nervous system, which controls motor function recovery, has made rapid progress in the field of neuro-rehabilitation. The rehabilitation evaluation has been integrated by the evaluation of the physical function, daily-living functioning, and the functional recovery of the cranial nervous system. In the future, these three functional evaluation technologies will be implemented in cooperation with advanced medical equipment that can be used in hospitals and wearable equipment and nursing robots that can be used in daily life. We believe that each person will be able to continue their daily rehabilitation with motivation while confirming to what extent the effects of rehabilitation are exerted on their cranial nerves, motor functions, and daily-living functions.

Maternal immune activation (MIA) by an infection is considered to be an important environmental factor of fetal brain development. Recent animal model on MIA induced by polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid, a mimic of viral infection, demonstrates that maternal IL-17A signaling is required for the development of autism spectrum disorder (ASD)-like behaviors of offspring. However, there is little information on bacterial infection. In this study, we aim to elucidate the influence of MIA induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to mimic a bacterial infection on fetal brain development. We demonstrated that LPS-induced MIA promoted ASD-like behaviors in mouse offspring. We further found that LPS exposure induced acute phase immune response: elevation of serum IL-17A levels in MIA mothers, upregulation of Il17a mRNA expression and increase of IL-17A-producing γδ T cells in the uterus, and upregulation of Il17ra mRNA expression in the fetal brain. Blocking of IL-17A in LPS-induced MIA ameliorated ASD-like behaviors in offspring. Our data suggest that bacterial-induced maternal IL-17A pathway promotes ASD-like behaviors in offspring.

The notion of “Risshin-Shusse” and its functions can be briefly summarized as follows:(1) To rise in the world (“Risshin-Shusse”) or not was considered identical with winning or being defeated in life. This compulsive notion was to force “Shusse”-minded people to reject the usual institutional means and those who failed into despair.(2) There was, however, another kind of “Risshin-Shusse” notion, which contributed greatly to preventing people from such deviation and from despair. It was, what could be called, a double-image notion of “Risshin-Shusse”. One image was that the more secular value a man had, the more moral value he had. The other image, which was quite to the contrary in the content, was that the more secular value a man had, the less moral value he had.(3) The third notion of “Risshin-Shusse” was that of small upward mobility in non-elite, that was also regarded as “Shusse”. While the opportunities to try to rise radically in the world became less, this notion kept the fervor of “Risshin-Shusse”.(4) The fourth notion of “Risshin-Shusse” was one that was considered “Komyo”(acquiring fame). This notion had relevance not only to status-orientation, but also to achievement-orientation. This particular notion is thought to have worked as innovation energy toward the Japanese modernization.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the current situation in which youth teams in Europe are producing football players in strong teams and to explore the success model of the youth teams. The youth teams of the European top four major league division teams were examined, and as a result of calculating the contribution points based on the UEFA club ranking, the first place was Real Madrid youth, the second place was Barcelona Youth. Among the top 10 teams in total points, there were teams that showed high points even if they were not such strong teams. Also, although Manchester City Youth has produced many players, it did not differ much from other teams in regard to total points. In addition, there were teams that promoted many players in their top teams, like Athletic Bilbao Youth. Based on the above surveys, it was considered that the teams that successfully trained players could be classified into the following three major categories. ① Multi-player High Level Type, including Real Madrid youth and Barcelona youth, producing many players and operating at a high level. ② Self-Team Contribution Type, including Athletic Bilbao Youth, promoting many players to their own top team. ③ Release to Other Teams Type, including Manchester City Youth, producing numerous players who join other teams

JR east is developing a new ground coil to handle future speed increments in Shinkansen trains, as it is necessary to expand response distance of ground coils to cope with higher speeds. In addition, when lowering the mounting position of ground coils (as a measure against damage from falling ice), a need arises to adjust (expand) response distance. Therefore, in this research, we investigated measures to expand response distance of ground coils from the view point of feasibility, while maintaining compatibility with the current method. This research proved that an external power supply is effective for expanding response distance, so we have built a prototype ground coil with a built-in battery as a means of external power supply. The voltage detection control circuit supplies battery power only when electromagnetic waves are detected. The circuit configuration also uses a voltage induced by electromagnetic waves. This allows the battery to be used for more than 10 years. The high-speed rotation test confirmed that the prototype ground coil is capable of coping with 400 km/h even 300 mm from the ground coil and the on-board antenna. A falling-weight test confirmed that a new sturdier mounting base was capable of withstanding a load equivalent of 400 km/h. Since it was conformed that the prototype’s sufficient performance, we now plan to conduct a field test for practical use.
