特別支援教育の経験がなく不登校のASD青年を対象にショートケアを実施した。研究期間中に利用登録したのは11人で、就労移行支援サービスや進学などで卒業したのは5人、2年以上利用継続しているのは3人だった。ショートケア利用により親の総合的な精神的健康度は改善がみられた。外来通院患者で不登校の有無で比較したところ、不登校群の方が全検査IQ(FSIQ)、言語理解(VCI)、知覚推理(PRI)の得点が高く、ワーキングメモリー(WMI)、処理速度(PSI)では差がみられなかった。発達障害を伴う場合(N=22)では、同様のパターンがより顕著にみられた。

The latest revision of the Declaration of Helsinki was adopted by the World Medical Association (WMA) in October 2013. The year 2014 is the 50th anniversary since the first adoption of the Declaration in 1964, which was based on strong reflection over the unethical human experimentation conducted by doctors during World War II. Subsequently, the WMA has continuously elaborated the Declaration with the goal to prevent abuse of human dignity, and to guide physicians worldwide toward the conduct of ethically and scientifically sound research involving human subjects, to adhere to their duty of working for the patients' best interest.The most remarkable points discussed toward this 2013 revision are: (1) adding subheadings; (2) creating a provision to assure compensation and treatment for subjects harmed as a result of research; (3) clarifying the provisions of comparators e.g., placebo; (4) clarifying the provisions of protecting vulnerable populations and post-study arrangement; (5) adding the concept of biobank in the provision of research using human material and/or data; (6) strengthening the function of research ethics committees; (7) expanding the range of research to be registered in public database; and (8) clarifying the provision of the use of unproven intervention.There remain pros and cons of the principles in the revised Declaration; however, it is important to understand the historical background and continuing debates regarding the Declaration as a "living document". In this paper, the author describes such discussions that are believed to promote profound understanding of this document, which are necessary for the research communities in the world to conduct ethically and scientifically sound research involving human subjects.

茶タンニンの主要成分であるカテキン類のうち(-)エピガロカテキン(EGC),(-)エピカテキンガレート(ECg),(-)エピガロカテキンガレート(EGCg)はStaphylococcus aureusに抗菌活性を示した。また,Vibrio cholerae O1 classical InabaおよびEl Tor Inabaにも抗菌活性を示した。カテキン構造類似物質では,ピロガロール,タンニン酸,没食子酸の順で上記3菌種に対して抗菌活性を示したが,ルチン,カフェインには抗菌活性はほとんど認められなかつた。また,ECgは黄色ブドウ球菌α-毒素およびコレラ溶血毒の溶血活性を100%阻止した。また,EGCgは黄色ブドウ球菌α-毒素,コレラ溶血毒のほか,腸炎ビブリオ耐熱性溶血毒Vp-TDHの溶血活性をも100%阻止した。一方,タンニン酸はコレラ溶血毒の溶血活性を100%阻止した。これらの結果から,茶葉の抗菌活性および抗毒素作用にはカテキン類の関与が示唆された。

Although the eudemonic perspective seems to be a promising in considering vocational identity among working population, well-being at work has been discussed primarily in terms of subjective/hedonic well-being. This study aimed to develop a new tool to measure eudemonic well-being at work (The University of Tokyo Occupational Mental Health [TOMH] well-being 24 scale)and investigate its validity in a collectivist culture. Two online surveys were conducted with a total of 1,760 workers in Japan. We created 89 potential items from existing scales. An exploratory factor analysis indicated eight factors for the dimensions of measurement. After item selection based on item response theory, the factor structure with three items from each of the eight dimensions indicated an excellent fit for another sample. Cronbach’s α and intra-class coefficients ranged from 0.671 to 0.845. The scores of the tool were more strongly associated with subjective well-being in the work context rather than well-being in general. In addition, the participants in the group demonstrating a higher risk for mental illness and a more stressful work environment indicated significantly lower scores, even after adjusting for general eudemonic well-being. The new measurement may be useful both for academic and practical applications for measuring eudemonic well-being at work, independent from general eudemonic well-being.

リチウムイオン電池 (LIB) は今後ますます市場拡大が見込まれ,将来の廃棄量増大が懸念されることからその資源循環のあり方に国際的な関心が高まっている。そうした中で近年,欧州連合 (EU) ではサーキュラーエコノミーを目指した資源循環やカーボンニュートラル推進と関連づけたリチウムイオン電池にかかわる制度の促進の動きがみられる。 本稿では EU の電池関連制度の変遷を概観し,フランスの電池指令の運用実態を事例として紹介する。

脳卒中片麻痺患者の杖歩行パターンには,二動作杖歩行と三動作杖歩行がある。今回,各杖歩行パターン間における機能差違を脳卒中片麻痺患者24名(二動作杖歩行12名・三動作杖歩行12名)を対象にし,麻痺側運動機能(上下肢,体幹),非麻痺側下肢筋力,立位バランス(静的,動的),片足立位保持,歩行能力の検査項目から比較検討をおこなった。その結果,麻痺側運動機能(下肢,体幹),立位バランス(静的,動的),麻痺側片足立位保持,歩行能力に有意差が認められた。今回の比較において二動作杖歩行群が三動作杖歩行群を上回っていた機能は,①麻痺側下肢,体幹機能が高い,②静的立位の重心動揺が少なく,常に一定の範囲に保たれている,③動的立位の左右方向への重心移動距離が大きくなる,④麻痺側下肢の支持性が高い,の4点であった。

We review the involvement of a small molecule, oxytocin, in various effects of physical stimulation of somatosensory organs, mindfulness meditation, emotion and fragrance on humans, and then propose a hypothesis that complex human states and behaviors, such as well-being, social bonding, and emotional behavior, are explained by oxytocin. We previously reported that oxytocin can induce pain relief and described the possibility how oxytocin in the dorsal horn and/or the dorsal root ganglion relieves joint and muscle pain. In the present article, we expand our research target from the physical analgesic effects of oxytocin to its psychologic effects to upregulate well-being and downregulate stress and anxiety. For this purpose, we propose a “hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis-oxytocin model” to explain why mindfulness meditation, placebo, and fragrance can reduce stress and anxiety, resulting in contentment. This new proposed model of HPA axis-oxytocin in the brain also provides a target to address other questions regarding emotional behaviors, learning and memory, and excess food intake leading to obesity, aimed at promoting a healthy life.

目的:上腕骨外側上顆炎に対するPRP療法の臨床成績について報告する. 対象と方法:上腕骨外側上顆炎に対してPRP療法を施行した7例9肘を対象とした.従来の保存加療が無効であった患者に対して行い,発症からPRP療法を施行までの期間は平均25か月であった.PRP施行前,施行後1,3,6か月時のVAS,握力健側比,患者評価のPRTEEに関して調査した. 結果:PRP療法施行前,施行後1,3,6か月における手関節背屈抵抗時の平均VAS(53→23→14→4),外側上顆の圧痛の平均VAS(79→38→26→14),平均握力健側比(80→89→104→97),平均PRTEEスコア(53→34→23→20)は治療前と比べて有意に改善した. 考察:PRP療法は,他の保存療法に抵抗性の症例に対しても疼痛を有意に軽減させ,有用な治療と思われる.
