症例は89歳男性.54歳頃に2型糖尿病と診断され,レパグリニド1.5 mg/日,テネリグリプチン20 mg/日,ボグリボース0.6 mg/日の内服を行っていた.閉塞性動脈硬化症に対しクロピドグレル75 mg/日の内服開始翌日の夕食後に低血糖昏睡で入院となった.経口血糖降下薬はすべて中止したが,第3病日まで低血糖が遷延した.退院後,再度併用を開始した2日後の夕食後に再び同様の重症低血糖で入院し,第2病日まで低血糖が遷延した.レパグリニドは短時間作用型のインスリン分泌促進薬であり,単独では遷延性低血糖を来しにくい.Tornioらは,クロピドグレルによるCYP2C8の阻害がレパグリニド血中濃度を上げると報告したが,本症例はこの機序による低血糖と推測された.両薬剤は大血管障害を有する糖尿病患者において併用されることも多く,併用の際には相互作用による低血糖に十分注意する必要がある.

We examined the effects of foot massage on healthy adult females’ mental and physical functions by electroencephalography as an emotional assessment method. We randomized 20 healthy adult females into 2 groups receiving a massage by a therapist (Group A) and mechanical massage using a commercially available massager (Group B), each of which consisted of 10 subjects. After massage, the lower limb volume significantly decreased in both groups, but Group A showed more favorable results related to comfort, pain, and feeling refreshed. Electroencephalography confirmed increased beta waves, indicating enhanced neuronal activity, in the medial prefrontal cortex and anterior cingulate gyrus of Group A after massage. The results suggest that foot massage by a therapist positively influences not only physical functions, but also mental conditions.

本研究では離乳後約2か月間にわたって隔離環境で飼育されたラットの社会的行動とオキシトシン産生細胞の活動レベルを解析し、幼い時期に "ひとりぼっち" で育つことが精神的な発達に及ぼす影響を明らかにした。ラットは通常、単なる物体(非社会的刺激)よりも同種の他個体(社会的刺激)により強い興味を示す。しかしながら隔離飼育された雌性ラットにおいてはこのような性質が認められなかった。また同ラットは他個体に近づく行動が少なく、社会的な関わりへの動機づけが低下していた。さらに同ラットの視床下部オキシトシン産生細胞において、同種の他個体との接触に伴う反応が正常なラットのものと比べて低下していた。

This case study intends to deepen understanding risk communication and management on genetically modified organisms (GMO). マイクに向かって話すことを表すフランス語の表現parler dans le microにおいて,前置詞句はマイクの内部を指しているだけである。英語などの幾つかの言語では,これに対応する表現において,前置詞句がマイクの内部への経路を明示的に表している(英語:to speak into the microphone,ドイツ語:ins Mikrophon sprechen,チェコ語:hovořit do mikrofonu,ロシア語: govorit’ v mikrofon)。しかし,フランス語では,マイクの内部が経路の着点であることは,推 論による解釈の結果なのである。 parler dans le microという表現においては,移動するもの,すなわち「声」が,明示的に表現されず,動詞parler(話す)によって含意されている。この潜在的な参与項はLangackerのアクティブ・ゾーンに対応している。前置詞句は,アクティブ・ゾーンの移動経路の着点に対応する場所を表しているのである。同じ説明は,souffler dans le micro(マイクに息を吹きかける),se moucher dans un mouchoir(ハンカチで鼻をかむ),vider une bouteille dans l’évier(びんの中身を流しにあける),mordre dans une pomme(リンゴをかじる)にも適用される。これら の表現において,アクティブ・ゾーンは,それぞれ,息,鼻腔内の粘液,瓶の中身,歯である。

Through out the 16th century and into the 17th century, Japan went through a period of a historic upheaval. Opinion is divided as to how to interpret this upheaval, but the dominant view is that the political power arriving afterwards established feudalism. During this period of great change, revolts called “ikki” broke out in various parts of the country. They arose especially in remote mountain areas and for this reason it has long been thought that these revolts were retarded ones caused by old rulers who mobilized peasants under their rule in order to maintain their retarded society, and that, in this sense, there is not much historical significance in these revolts. This paper intends to challenge thus accepted notion, focusing our attention on the fact that these revolts broke out in deep mountains and examining their historical significance.The paper has considered the cases of the Kitayama ikki in 1614, Shiibayama ikki in 1619, and lyayama ikki in 1620 as revolts in deep mountains in the early 17th century. What is common to all these theaters of revolt is, in the first place that the areas' economy was based on non-paddy farming, especially on slash-and-burn farming, in deep mountains. In the second place, these areas had been politically independent, considered as “area having no ruler”. Another common factor is that all the revolts were armed and ended in massacres.All these points suggest that these 17th century revolts were not the revolts of old rulers in retarded regions, but rather were an inevitable result of the process of ruling non-paddy cultivators of mountains by the unifying powers based on paddy cultivation in plains shown in the term “Kokudaka system”. Thus we can see the historical significance of these uprisings in the fact that they represented the resistance of mountain people to protect their own society.

本稿では,陸上競技800m 走において行われているレースパターン分析を題材に,800m 走のレースパターンの特徴,レース分析結果と現場での経験知をもとに作成した好記録を出すためのモデルレースパターンと,作成の際に工夫した点,作成したモデルを用いたレースパターンの評価,そして評価結果をもとにしたレースパターンの改善による記録の向上を試みた事例について解説する.

本稿では,エスニックビジネスがホスト社会における中心商店街に進出する過程および要因を解明することを目的とした。対象地域は,明治期以降横浜の中心商業地としての機能を有する商店街,伊勢佐木モールである。本商店街の分布する横浜市中区は,1990年代以降ニューカマーが急増し,それと同時に商店街周縁地域には多数のエスニック事業所が分布,2000 年代前半に飽和状態を迎えた。一方,伊勢佐木モールにおいては,バブル経済崩壊以降,テナント賃料の低下や集合住宅および雑居ビルの過剰供給,老舗店舗の撤退が相次ぎ,テナント入居機会が拡大した。その結果,2000年代以降より比較的商業的価値の低い伊勢佐木町3~7丁目においてエスニックビジネスの進出が開始された。2010年代以降になると,商況の著しい伊勢佐木町2丁目におけるエスニックビジネスの展開が顕著となり,その業種構成についても従来の同胞集団向け店舗のみならず,日本人顧客を主要な対象と定める店舗が多数進出していることが明らかとなった。

Mach stems generated by the oblique interaction of waves were numerically simulated using a set of nonlinear equations derived on the basis of a variational principle without any assumptions concerning wave nonlinearity and dispersion. The Mach stems showed a larger amplification rate defined along the nondimensional time as the incident wave height to water depth ratio was larger and the water depth to incident wave length ratio was smaller. When the Mach stem reflected at a vertical wall, its wave height became remarkably large without wave breaking. A new method was proposed to consider the boundary conditions on a vertical wall which was set diagonally across computational grids. The wave amplification at the head of a bay depended on not only the incident-wave parameters but also how large the Mach stem was amplified.

19世紀中葉、上海美華書館においてWilliam Gambleは近代活版印刷技術を確立し、中国と日本の文化に多大な貢献をしたが、彼自身の記録は曖昧なままである。本研究は、W. Gambleの生い立ちから没するまで、その生涯を解き明かし、その間に起きた特記すべき点を織り込みながら印刷家としての功績をさらに浮き彫りにしたい。このための調査は、当時の資料がそのままの状態で保管されている米国議会図書館の協力で行われた。 この調査の結果、当時の種字(木活字)や活字さらにはGambleの肖像写真、その他多くのマニュスクリプトが発見され内容が精査された。 したがって、これまで実在しないと思われてきた電胎法にかかわる当時の資材について、さらには肖像写真等についても、初の公開となる。 本研究では、近代活版印刷の基礎を築いたGambleの印刷家としての実像に迫るとともに、近代活版印刷史の原点と潮流を解明することを目的としている。

本研究では「現在」と向き合い、いまを生きる人々と民俗を記述することが民俗学に必要な視点であるという立場をとっている。これまで「過去」を起点とし、「現在」までの変化を分析する方法を用いてきた。しかし前提となる「過去」を設定し「現在」を分析することで、「現在」を固定化して理解してしまう危険性がある。こうした点を踏まえ、近年の民俗学研究の成果から「照合」という方法を用いた。これは「現在」を起点として「過去」にさかのぼり、いまを生きている人々が持つ「現在」と「過去」とのつながりを発見する方法である。本論文では東京都青ヶ島の巫俗に関わる人々の語りを分析し、人々がいかに「現在」と「過去」のつながりによって生きているのかを明らかにすることを目的としている。分析を通して、巫俗の時代変化による衰退という結論にとどまらない、巫俗に関わる人々の「現在」を支えるものが明らかになった。青ヶ島巫俗現在照合語り

当院の老年内科が「抗加齢ドック」を実施しているのに呼応し, 当科でも2009年12月に「聴力ドック」を立ち上げ, 抗加齢ドックと連携して予防医学的観点から加齢性難聴の研究を始めた。聴力ドック開始から7か月間に, 抗加齢ドック受診者216名のうち96名 (44.4%) が聴力ドックを受診した。聴力ドックの受診は60歳代から増加する傾向にあり, その受診理由は「難聴の自覚」が最も多かった。抗加齢ドックで実施している脈波伝搬速度 (PWV) や頸動脈内膜中膜複合体肥厚度 (IMT) の結果と周波数ごとの聴力レベルとの関係を重回帰分析したところ, PWVでは8kHzの聴力レベルと, IMTは4kHzと8kHzの聴力レベルと有意な関連が認められた。この結果は, 高齢者の高音域聴力低下に動脈硬化が関与していることを示唆する。

失語症状の長期経過を明らかにする研究の一環として, 右手利き左大脳半球一側損傷後に失語症を呈した 270 例の病巣別回復経過を検討した。また言語機能に低下を示した 37 症例の SLTA 総合評価法得点各因子の機能変遷を検討した。その結果, 1) 失語症状の回復は損傷部位や発症年齢によって経過は大きく異なるが, 少なくとも 6 ヵ月以上の長期にわたって回復を認める症例が多いこと, 2) SLTA 総合評価法得点上回復しやすい機能は, 比較的簡単な言語情報処理である理解項目および漢字・仮名単語文字からの音韻想起能力であること, 3) 回復後維持されやすい機能は, 理解項目および漢字・仮名単語文字からの音韻想起能力であること, 4) 構文の処理や書字能力などより複雑な言語情報処理を必要とする機能は低下しやすいこと, 5) 言語訓練後に回復を示した機能は脆弱である可能性が高いこと, 6) 各症例に応じてメンテナンスが必要な言語症状に対しては長期的な言語訓練の継続が必要であること, などが考えられた。以上の結果に基づき, 失語症にとっての慢性期について再考した。

Research on individual-level ethical decision making and behavior, or behavioral ethics within organizations, has developed from a relatively niche concern to a formalized knowledge in the shape of academic disciplines. Behavioral ethics is defined as “the study of systematic and predictable ways in which individuals make ethical decisions and judge the ethical decisions of others when these decisions are at odds with intuition and the benefits of the broader society”. The purpose of this paper is to review recent research on behavioral ethics and attempt to provide a portrait of the current state of the field.
