酸化油脂を経口摂取したときの生体毒性の発現機構を知るため, リノール酸メチルヒドロペルオキシドおよびその二次酸化分解生成物(主にカルボニル化合物)を経口投与したときのマウス免疫系組織への影響を調べた.C67BL/6系雄マウス(体重20〜30g)に精製リノール酸メチルヒドロペルオキシド(過酸化物価=6100meq/kg)を90, 190, 270, 310mgずつ経口投与した. また別にヒドロペルオキシドの分解物(カルボニル化合物)を経口投与した. 投与24時間後に, 臓器重量正測定するとともに, 各種臓器組織をHE, PASおよびズダンIII法で染色し, 組織像(肝臓, 胸腺, 脾臓, パイエル板など)を光学顕微鏡で調べた. また, 血清GOTとGPTの活性を測定した. リノール酸メチルヒドロペルオキシドなどの脂質過酸化物を投与したときの胸腺細胞をフローサイトメトリーによるドットプロット分析に供し, 胸腺細胞の変化を調査した.リノール酸メチルヒドロペルオキシドなどの脂質過酸化物を経口摂取したマウスの免疫系組織(胸腺, 脾臓)の重量は顕著な低下を示した. とくに胸腺上皮組織では, 浸潤しているリンパ球の著しい壊死が観察できた. この時胸腺ホモジネートからの自発的な極微弱化学発光量は顕著な増加を示した. また脂質過酸化物を摂取したマウスの脾臓においてはヘモグロビンの変性を示すヘモジゼリンの蓄積が認められ, 一方, 小腸パイエル板においてはリンパ球の壊死が顕著に認められた. ヒドロペルオキシド投与マウス胸腺のリンパ球をフローサイトメトリーで分析すると, 免疫応答能の欠落した容積の小さいリンパ球群の出現が新たに認められた. これらの結果から, 脂質加酸化物を摂取した場合に生体の免疫系組織に大きな障害のあらわれることが明らかになった.

Circassians(Cerkes) were forced to migrate to Anatolia in the mid-19th century, when Russia completed its military conquest of the North Caucasus. The Uzunyayla plateau (Kayseri, Turkey) is one of the principal locations of refugee re-settlement. Circassians there tend to compete for prestige, partly due to contradictions between status differences among groups in the past and the socioeconomic standing of these groups in the present. Among Circassians in Uzunyayla, contested memories are produced along the line dividing two social groups: descendants of nobles and descendants of slaves. Those families who are of noble descent eagerly tell a version of history that enhances their own honour. The ways in which nobles employ a discourse of memory (hatira/hatzr) to control the production of historic knowledge can be termed the "politics of memory." This politics serves by not letting slave descendants give their own account of history freely. On the other hand, descendants of slaves produce favourable meanings by appropriating the discourse of those of noble descent as their own. They narrate counter-memories that provide them with a positive experience and a claim to social legitimacy. The memory politics of nobles is skilfully undermined. This may be seen as an exemplary case of the "practice of memory," an idea discussed by de Certeau.

Microdialysisシステム(MDS)は, 異なる細胞間の内分泌学的解析を分子レベルで行う方法である.今回, 馬の排卵前卵胞液中プロジェステロン(P_4), エストラジオール17β(E_2), アンドロステンジオン(A_4)とプロスラグランジンF_<2α>(PGF_<2α>)濃度を調べた.卵巣から卵胞を取り出し, ホルモン測定のため卵胞液を採取した.卵胞の大きさを大(30mm<), 中(29〜16mm)および小(15mm>)に区分けして, 各々の卵胞液中のホルモン濃度をEIA法により測定した.卵胞の大きさの違いで, P_4とPGF_<2α>濃度に有意差はなく, (A_4)濃度は大と中の卵胞間で差異を認めた.E_2濃度は, 中卵胞より大卵胞が高値であった.卵胞膜の小片にMDS操作を行い, LHを感作した時にP_4,A_4とPGF_<2α>分泌は増加した.PGF_<2α>を感作した時, P_4とA_4分泌の増加は認められたが, E_2の変動は小さかった.今回の結果から, 排卵前卵胞はLH感作により卵胞膜での黄体化とステロイドホルモン分泌を促進した.さらに, 発情周期のホルモン動態は, 他の動物種と大きく異なることが明らかとなったが, 主席卵胞が選択される機序は十分説明できなかった.

【はじめに】日本地球惑星科学連合および日本放射化学会を中心とした研究グループにより、福島第一原子力発電所事故により放出された放射性物質の陸域での大規模な調査が2011年6月に実施された。事故より5年が経過した2016年、その調査結果をふまえ放射性物質の移行過程の解明および現在の汚染状況の把握を目的として本研究プロジェクトを実施した。2016年6月から9月にかけて、のべ9日間176名により、帰還困難区域を中心とする福島第一原子力発電所近傍105箇所において、空間線量率の測定および土壌の採取を行った。プロジェクトの概要については別の講演にて報告するが、本講演では福島県双葉郡大熊町・双葉町の土壌中の放射性セシウム134Csおよび137Csのインベントリ、土壌深部への移行、134Cs/137Cs濃度比、また空間線量率との相関についての評価を報告する。【試料と測定】2016年6・7月に福島県双葉郡大熊町・双葉町の帰還困難区域内で未除染の公共施設36地点から深さ5 cm表層土壌を各地点5試料ずつ採取した。試料は深さ0-2.5 cmと2.5-5 cmの二つに分割し、乾燥処理後U8容器に充填し、Ge半導体検出器を用いてγ線スペクトルを測定し、放射性物質を定量した。【結果と考察】137Csのインベントリを航空機による空間線量率の地図に重ねたプロットを図1に示す。最大濃度はインベントリで137Csが68400kBq/m2、比放射能で1180kBq/kg・dryであった。インベントリは空間線量率との明確な相関がみられた。深部土壌(深さ2.5-5.0 cm)放射能/浅部土壌(深さ0-2.5 cm)放射能の比はおおむね1以下で表層の値の高い試料が多かったが、試料ごとの差が大きかった。また原子力発電所より北北西方向に134Cs/137Cs濃度比が0.87-0.93と明確に低い値を持つ地点が存在した。

多摩丘陵西部に位置する首都大学東京南大沢キャンパスにて,2009-2010年に移入鳥類ガビチョウGarrulax canorusの営巣場所と繁殖活動を調査した.ガビチョウは二次林からなる比較的自然状態に近い環境だけでなく,生垣や植栽林等のより人工的な環境にも営巣していた.巣の地上高は平均139.3±SD 44.57 cm(90-208 cm,N=10)であった.繁殖活動は4月から7月を中心に行っていた.2009年に本調査地内で出生し巣立ち前に標識された3個体のうち,オス1羽が翌2010年夏に本調査地内で繁殖に成功し,2010年9月,12月および2011年11月にも同じ場所で確認された.このことから,ガビチョウのオス個体において近距離の出生分散および1歳齢での繁殖成功が起こりうることが明らかとなった.

SLIM (Smart Lander for Investigating Moon) is the Lunar Landing Demonstrator which is under development at ISAS/JAXA. SLIM demonstrates not only so-called Pin-Point Landing Technique to the lunar surface, but also demonstrates the design to make the explorer small and lightweight. Realizing the compact explorer is one of the key points to achieve the frequent lunar and planetary explorations. This paper summarizes the preliminary system design of SLIM, especially the way to reduce the size.

We investigated the triggering process for the Mj6.4 Eastern Shizuoka earthquake of 15 March 2011, which occurred 4 days after the 2011 Mw9.0 Tohoku-Oki earthquake and about 4 minutes after the Mj6.2 Fukushima-Oki earthquake. The static Coulomb failure stress change on the fault of the Eastern Shizuoka earthquake from the Tohoku-Oki earthquake, was about 20 kPa, and the largest dynamic stress change by the passing surface waves was about 200 kPa. The largest dynamic stress change from the Fukushima-Oki earthquake and the largest tidal stress change after the Tohoku-Oki and before the Eastern Shizuoka earthquake were about 0.3 kPa and 1.4 kPa, respectively, while those at the onset of the Eastern Shizuoka earthquake were at most 0.01 kPa and −0.5 kPa, respectively. We also analyzed seismicity by detecting earthquakes immediately preceding the Eastern Shizuoka earthquake, which is done using a matched filter technique. A single M1.0 event that occurred about 17 hours before the Eastern Shizuoka earthquake and located about 3 km NNE from the hypocenter was found, however, this event may not be classified as a foreshock if we consider the background seismicity in this region before 2011. We propose that the seismic cycle was possibly advanced by about 101 to 102 years and delayed triggering might have occurred for the Eastern Shizuoka earthquake. The eventual earthquake was ready to occur to some extent, when the Tohoku-Oki earthquake occurred. The fault strength had significantly decreased due to imposed large dynamic and static stress changes from the Tohoku-Oki earthquake and probably its large aftershocks, in terms of a rate and state dependent friction law.

We reported a case of Addison's disease, caused by adrenal tuberculosis. The patient was female, seventy four years old. She complained cough and body weight loss. She complained cough from June, 1989, but her home doctor didn't take care of her symptoms. September 1989, she felt appetite loss, and easy fatigue, so her home doctor suspected her disease as pulmonary tuberculosis, so he introduced our hospital, and she admitted. When she admitted, her chest roentogenogram revealed bII12. Sputum smear examinations were negative. Laboratory datas on admission, we observed slightry eosinophilia, severe iron deficiency anemia, and accenturation of blood sedimentation rate. Immediately after admission, she complained nausea, vomiting, coldness, and powerless. On 25 days after admission, she lost her senses suddenly, and her blood pressure fell 5 days after, she fell in shock state, too. We found out her blood sugar data was 29. After blood examinations, we found out that ACTH was high, cortisole, 17KS, 17-OHCS were low. So we thought she got acute hypoadrenocorticism. We found her abdominal CT revealed calcification in her right adrenal gland. We diagnosed her disease as Addison's disease caused by adrenal tuberculosis so we began to give prednisolone, 7.5mg per day. After giving, her state made better. We thought her disease as Addison's disease caused by adrenal tuberculosis, revealed acute hypoadrenocorticism.

緩和的放射線治療は,適切に施行することで患者のQuality of Life(QOL)向上に寄与する.緩和的放射線治療の有用性の認知は進んできてはいるが,在宅医療機関からの緩和的放射線治療のニーズはまだ満たされていない.在宅療養中の患者が緩和的放射線治療を受けることでQOLが向上することはあるが,画像診断検査を行うことが難しい在宅診療の現場では,緩和的放射線治療の適応を判断することは困難である.また,在宅療養中の患者は全身状態が悪いことが多く,頻回の通院は難しいうえにその移動手段にも制限がある.そのような環境の中,われわれは在宅診療所と協力し,緩和的放射線治療を提供する活動を行ってきたので一部の症例とともに報告する.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between pitch rehearsal and phonological rehearsal with regard to working memory. We conducted a dual-task experiment using musical tones and speech sounds. A standard-comparison task was the primary task and a suppression task was the secondary task. The participants were asked to engage in articulatory or musical suppression while they maintain speech sounds (phonological information) or musical tones (pitch information). Under articulatory suppression, the participants were asked to say “a, i, u” repeatedly; under musical suppression, they were asked to hum in three pitches (e.g., do, re, mi) repeatedly. The results revealed that articulatory suppression decreased the performance of recognition of phonological information but not of pitch information. Moreover, musical suppression decreased the performance of recognition of pitch information but not of phonological information. This implies that ariticulatory suppression selectively interfered with the rehearsals of speech sounds, and musical supersession selectively interfered with the rehearsals of musical tones. Consequently, the results suggest that pitch rehearsal is independent from phonological rehearsal.

The number of patients attacked by bears has been rising recently because the opportunity to encounter wild bears has increased. Bear attacks usually focus on the head and neck areas, and the attack sometimes causes fatal injuries.We report two cases of multiple facial lacerations and mandibular bone comminuted fractures caused by a bear attack.A 70-year-old man and a 60-year-old man were attacked by a black bear while mushroom picking. They sustained mandibular bone comminuted fractures with deep lacerations of the face. They were brought to our emergency room. Their lives were saved by immediate surgery. In addition, it was necessary to provide preventative measures against infection.

競争を基本原理とするスポーツにおいて、勝利することに多様な価値が付随し、「負け」はマイナスの側面しか持ち合わせないようにみえる。しかしながら、新聞等のメディアによって「負け」はプラスの価値を付与され取り上げられる。こうした矛盾ともいえる事態を解明するため、新聞記事が「負け」をどのように取り上げているかを分析し、なぜ「負け」にプラスの価値が付与されるのかを明らかにすることが本稿の目的である。 本稿において分析対象とした記事は、戦後から現在(1946~2016年)までの読売新聞東京朝刊から、スポーツにおける「負け」を取り上げたものとした。国立国会図書館の新聞記事索引データベース「ヨミダス歴史館」と「日経テレコン21」を利用し、「負け」を見出し語に検索し、4,407件の記事を得た。スポーツにおける「負け」は批判すべきものか、もしくは称賛すべきものか、そして新聞記事において「負け」が批判および称賛される際、どのような側面に価値が見出され、語られているかに注目し、ドキュメント分析を用いて分析を進めた。 分析の結果、闘志や根性などの“精神論”を「負け」と結びつける状況が読み取れた。こうした状況は、「負け」を捉える記事と「負け」を称賛する記事の両方にみられた。また、努力や鍛錬などの用語に象徴される「厳しい練習」を称えることで、「負け」をポジティブに語る状況が浮き彫りになった。こうした価値観の背景には何があるのかを、日本人のスポーツ観の特徴と関連づけて考察した。新聞記事においてそうした価値観を継続的に語ることには(a)日本人の伝統的アイデンティティを再生産する機能と、(b)競争社会において生産された敗者を救済する機能の2つがあるのではないかと考えられる。

We have launched production and sales of "Monsieur", a microrobot that is probably the world's first micromachine to move from drawing board to factory floor. "Monsieur" employs an internalized CPU-IC, rechargeable capacitor, two drive units, and a pair of photosensors to enable it to independently propels itself toward a light source. Skilled technicians assemble "Monsieur" by hand from a total of ninety-eight parts, most of which are general purpose watch parts.

2020年に我が国でも5G商用サービスが本格開始され,2021年の東京オリンピック・パラリンピックでは,5Gを応用したサービスのトライアルが行われる.一方,同時に将来の技術やニーズを先取りしたBeyond 5G/6Gの研究開発スタートの年となる.Beyond 5G/6Gを検討する際は,将来を予想して必要となるサービスを左手とするならば,ブレークスルーにより発展する基盤技術を右手として,それらを融合するネットワークアーキテクチャを面的に考え,同時に時間軸のステップを考える必要がある.そのため,総務省が主体となり「Beyond 5G時代の有線ネットワーク検討会」を発足させ,キャリア,国立研究機関,アカデミアに加え,本分野の代表的な電子情報通信学会研究専門委員会の委員長,コンソーシアムの主導者にも参加頂き,Beyond 5Gのオーバービューとブレークスルー技術等の取りまとめを行った.本論文では,そこで取りまとめた「ネットワークビジョン2030」を電子情報通信学会の多くの読者,研究者に提供することにより,自らのビジネスや研究へのヒントを得ると同時に,各分野の最新動向をフィードバック頂くことで,常に最新のビジョンへブラッシュアップすることを目指し,執筆を行った.
