On July 28, 2006 the Asahi Shimbun began to critically report the controversy about the Christian Gospel Mission (called “Setsuri” in Japan), and Japanese belatedly acknowledged cult problems on campus. Jung Myung Seok, the founder of this cult, was internationally arraigned by the Korean police on suspicion of rape of female disciples and he escaped overseas in 1999, finally being arrested in China on May 12, 2007. In Korea and Japan there are allegedly several hundred victims. Providence conducted controversial proselytization on campuses and got approximately two thousand members in Japan. They concealed actual information about Providence in terms of the theology, the founder, and organization and set up various sports and cultural circles camoufl aging its missionary work object. According to the investigation by Asahi News Company, former members of Providence, and the Student Affairs Division of Hokkaido University, Providence has a church in Sapporo and proselytizes on the Hokkaido University campus. Faculty members should realize the fact that students in Hokkaido University are exposed to their masked proselytization. We must also take measures to protect the students’ right to safely study on campus and their freedom of religion. So far there has been little academic research concerning Providence except for the authors’ report in the monthly Journal “Chuou Kouron,” issued in October, 2006, titled ‘How should we protect students from controversial campus missions.’ I conducted additional research into former members of Providence and herein I illustrate their beliefs and behavior not only for faculty members of Hokkaido University but also for all student affairs offi cials and professors to understand the actual nature of Providence and the risk of their free campus mission. The contents of this paper are as follows: Chapter 1 introduces the reports and investigations of Providence. Chapter 2 explains the history and theology of Providence. Chapter 3 analyzes the method of recruitment and proselytization of new members and their daily mission work. Chapter 4 discusses the controversial mission of Providence and its harmful effect on students. The last chapter proposes possible measures to confront the controversial mission on campus.

Saturated fats are commonly claimed to raise human blood cholesterols and contribute to cardiovascular disease. Previous literature data were highlighted that although palm oil is 50% saturated, it does not behave like a saturated fat. Human trials were conducted to compare the effects on serum cholesterol levels given by palm olein and monounsaturated oils. It was postulated that saturation/unsaturation of the fatty acids situated at sn-2 positions of triglycerides in the fat molecules determine the induced blood lipid levels but not the overall saturation of oils. The results showed that the lipid parameters (LDL and HDL) effects induced by these oils are similar with no significant differences. This study provides concrete evidence that the unsaturation levels of these oils at sn-2 position of TG are similar (90-100%) which are claimed to be responsible for the lipid parameters. In conclusion, the public negative perception on believing that the overall saturation of oils is detrimental to health should be corrected because in fact the unsaturation at sn-2 positions of the saturated vegetable fat such as palm olein and cocoa butter make them behave like mono-unsaturated oils, unlike saturated animal fats that possess a high content of saturated fatty acids at sn-2 position.

KH Coderを用いたテキストマイニングにおいて,筆者らが試みた具体的な分析手順や注意点を交えながら述べる.2018年に実施した化学構造式研修会の受講者を対象として,選択式および自由記述式の項目からなるアンケート調査を実施し,アンケート用紙から得られた自由記述中の語句の関係を検討するために共起ネットワーク分析を行った結果,研修内容に対する理解度にばらつきが生じていることが示唆された.理解度の差による自由記述内容の違いについて検討するため,自由記述内容と研修に対する自己評価による理解度との対応分析を行った結果,理解できた点および理解できなかった点に関する自由記述内容は,受講者の自己評価による理解度別で異なっており,我々が想定した各テーマの難易度と,受講者が実感した各テーマの難易度は一致していたことが示唆された.テキストマイニングを行う際には,実施者が明らかにしたい意図に応じて分析手法を使い分けたり組み合わせたりすることにより,テキストデータのより深い解析が可能となると考えている.

明治期のわが国の鉄道用橋梁として主力を占めたものは、プレートガーダー (鈑桁) であって、径間15ftから80ftに至る領域は、これが主力を占めており、早くから標準設計 (定規と称した) が確立していた。しかしながら、その中でも主力を占める官鉄に関するものはかなり詳細が解っていたが、それ以外の私設鉄道のものや、全部を通じての架設状況などは系統的な記録に乏しい。そこで、かなり現物が減少してきたとはいえまだそれが存在するうちに、実証的な裏付けをもとに一連の研究を行って行きたいと考えるもので、今回はその導入部とし概説を述べるものである。

シュウ酸カルシウムによる尿路結石症の発病予防の観点から, 愛知県及び京都府の茶道教授の飲茶量をアンケートにより調査すると共に, 茶のシュウ酸及びカルシウム含量を分析し, 両者のバランスを検討した. その結果, 1杯の飲茶によるシュウ酸摂取量に対するカルシウムの不足量はそれぞれ平均, 抹茶10.23mg, 紅茶5.26mg, 玉露2.21mg, 煎茶1.87mg, 番茶0.81mgであり, 飲茶によるこのカルシウムの不足量は計算上コップ1杯の牛乳に相当する.

近年,科学技術を巡って専門家と市民の対話の重要性が高まっている。本研究は,そうした対話の場の一つであるサイエンスカフェをフィールドとし,話題提供者と呼ばれる専門家が一般参加者の「科学知では答えられない/答えにくい問い」にどのように対処するのかを検討した。その結果,話題提供者は科学知において答えられる範囲については科学知フレームで応答し,答えられない/答えにくい範囲については社会的議論フレームへと移行した。ところが,社会的議論フレームへの移行が参加者とのコンフリクトを生じさせると,ファシリテーターの介入を契機として,個人見解フレームへと移行していた。こうした話題提供者のフレームシフトは,参加者との対立を回避し,コミュニケーションを継続するためのストラテジーであるといえる。この結果から,話題提供者がフレームシフトを用いて自らのメンバーシップを「話題提供者」から「一参加者」としてその場に参加していた可能性を示唆した。

The pintle injector is one of the most promising candidate for propellant injection systems of liquid rocket engine combustors due to the throttling capability and simple structure. However, combustion characteristics of pintle injectors are still unclear. Therefore, combustion experiments are conducted for an ethanol/liquid oxygen rocket engine combustor with a planar pintle injector which simulates the injection configuration of a pintle injector and enables optical measurements at Pc=0.40MPa and O/F=1.08-1.56. Direct images of the flame structure and CH chemiluminesence are observed through an optical window using high speed imaging techniques. Backlit images of the spray structure are observed. Strong CH chemiluminescence is observed in the vicinity of the impinging point of the two propellants. Luminous flames are observed in the vicinity of the faceplate and the upper wall of the combustor. It is observed that atomization process of the planar pintle injector proceeds two-dimensionally unlike conventional impinging injectors. A periodic atomization behavior is observed with the frequency of approximately 700Hz, being equal to the frequency of the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability.

社会福祉は本来,ケアの1 つであるにもかからず,法制度化された社会福祉の思想においては,ケアの倫理ではなく自立,権利(生存権),正義(公正)といった正義の倫理が語られる.しかし,ケアの倫理は正義の倫理の言葉では語られていない福祉思想を補い,福祉思想の明確化と体系化に寄与することができると考える.このような問題意識のもと本稿の目的は,ケアの倫理は正義の倫理の言葉では語られていない福祉思想の重要な側面を言い表していることを示すことである.考察の結果,ケアの倫理は,①自立イデオロギーからの覚醒,②正義の外部の者への眼差し,③〈選びえない〉現実への眼差しといった,正義の倫理に対する批判的機能を有すること,および,ケアの倫理には正義の倫理にはない「傷つき易い人間存在を気づかい,その人の呼びかけ(ニーズ)に応える」といった内容を有していることを明らかにしている.

By analyzing "Shinkou Ichiba map", this paper aims to grasp the “markets” in postwar Tokyo from the viewpoint of development approach, planning and store constitution. The map drawn 138 sheets intended for Tokyo's 23 wards, recorded the “markets” of 281 places in it. The results are given follows; 1) from the development approach, the “markets” were classified into types of detached shops and planned unit development, 2) typically, the markets has a passage in the longitudinal direction of the site, and in order to take passage and arranging two or more rows the row houses is required about 5.4 meters short dimension of the site, 3) Retail store is located on the front part of the markets, housing and pub is located in the back.

近年,欧米では,チャイルド・マルトリートメント,日本語で「不適切な養育」という考え方が一般化してきた.身体的虐待,性的虐待だけではなく,ネグレクト,心理的虐待を包括した呼称であり,大人の子どもに対する不適切な関わりを意味したより広い観念である.この考え方では,加害の意図の有無は関係なく,子どもにとって有害かどうかだけで判断される.また,明らかに心身に問題が生じていなくても,つまり目立った外傷が無くても,行為自体が不適切であればマルトリートメントと考えられる.こうしたマルトリートメントにより命を落とす子どもがいるという痛ましい事実を,多くの人が知っているだろう.しかし何とか虐待環境を生き延びた子どもたちであっても,他者と愛着を形成するうえで大きな障害を負い,身体的および精神的発達に様々な問題を抱えている. 我々は日々の臨床の中で,不適切な養育経験に起因する愛着障害がその他の小児精神疾患と複雑に絡み合うことを知っている.さらに一見,複雑な様相を呈する愛着障害が皮質下構造の一部である報酬系の破綻によって引き起こされていること,加えてその破綻には感受性期があることを著者らは突き止めた.ヒトの発達段階における,環境要因に依存して形成される回路形成およびその障害は未解明であり,その病態メカニズムを明らかにし,生物学的エビデンスを有する新規診断法や治療法を見出すことは,精神医療費の削減に繋がる可能性がある.

Whale carcasses support unique biological assemblages in deep sea. The carcasses release reducing chemicals such as hydrogen sulfide and nourish chemosynthesis-based biological communities. Two “stepping-stone” hypotheses regarding whale-fall ecosystems have been proposed. One explains a dispersal pathway for hydrothermal vent/hydrocarbon seep faunae in the deep sea and another an evolutionary process of vent/seep specialists. Here we summarize the whale-fall ecosystems, especially in Japanese waters and our attempts to verify the hypotheses.
