This study investigated how properties of precedent stimuli affect the perceived temporal duration for the following stimuli by the use of an experimental methodology similar to a previous study’s, which found cue recruitment in depth perception (Backus & Haijiang, 2007). Participants viewed movies (Experiment 1) or static images (Experiment 2), which lasted for various durations. Each participant conducted 250 training trials and 250 test trials in alternation. In the training trials, duration of the movies or static images was consistent with retinal location. In the test trials, participants judged whether the duration of the stimuli, which were presented at one of the alternative locations in random order, corresponds to the short or long criteria. Results of two experiments showed no sign of cue recruitment based on Bayesian rule concerning with the stimulus location, while perceived duration was modulated by the duration of the immediately precedent stimulus in a contrasting manner.

結核菌は宿主の免疫系に何らかの影響を及ぼしうることが知られている.そこで全身性自己免疫疾患の代表である全身性エリテマトーデス(SLE)の病態が,結核の罹患によって変化するか否かを検討した.昭和54年より同63年までの10年間に当科に入院したSLE患者213名のうち結核に罹患したのは5名(2.2%)であった.このうち3名は結核罹患により, SLEの病態に大きな変化はみられなかった(2名:不変, 1名:軽度悪化).これに対し,比較的重症の粟粒結核に罹患した2名のSLE患者では,結核発症3~6ヵ月の間に尿蛋白およびRA-Tの陰性化,抗核抗体および抗DNA抗体価の低下など明らかなSLEの改善がみられた.このSLEの軽快はSLEに対する治療や自然経過によるものではなく,結核罹患による影響と考えられた.このように,重症で全身に結核菌が播種されるような粟粒結核では, SLEの病態が改善することもありうることが示唆された.

質的研究は事象の多様性を捉えられることからソーシャルワーク領域に用いやすいが,記述が主観的であるということや,一般性を欠くという点から科学的な研究とはみなさないという見方もある.したがって,ソーシャルワークの科学的実践を広く実施していくためには,質的研究の科学性を検討する必要がある.本研究では,近年医療・福祉領域において浸透しつつある認識論である構造構成主義に基づき,その一連の著作から質的研究の科学性確保への理路について,主客問題,科学の定義を中心に整理した.そして,その理路の視点からKJ法,M-GTAを検討し科学性を得るための手法上の修正を施した.その具体的方策として,M-GTAの分析ワークシートを,構造化に至る思考の軌跡の開示を図るためにカスタマイズし,統計学的には一般化しえない少数事例において一般性を付与しうる記述方法を検討した.さらに,質的研究による知見を用いた実践の可能性をSW実践の一例を通じ示した.

Crude high density lipoprotein of egg yolk was fractionated by rate zonal ultracentrifugation. Rate zonal ultracentrifugation was carried out with zonal rotor RPZ-43T (660ml) in density gradient d. 1.00-1.40 by sodium bromide at 40000rpm.By the ultracentrifugation for four hours, the separation of high density lipoprotein (HDL) from low density lipoprotein (LDL) was observed, but HDL was completely purified only by the second ultracentrifiugation for twenty four hours after the first procedure.The purified HDL shows only one peak in the schlieren pattern of the analytical ultracentrifugation.

歯性感染症が原因で深頸部膿瘍を形成した症例は多数報告されているが,側頭部に膿瘍を形成する症例はまれである.今回我々は下顎の歯周炎が原因で側頭窩および側頭下窩に膿瘍を形成した1症例を経験したので,その治療と臨床経過について報告する.症例は63歳女性で,左側頭部痛,開口時痛,開口障害を主訴に当科を紹介受診となった.造影CTにて左側頭部に膿瘍形成を認め,同日左側頭部に皮膚切開を加えて外科的ドレナージを行い,抗菌薬による加療を行った.膿瘍の治療として適切な切開排膿が重要であるが,今回側頭部の皮膚切開を工夫することで全ての膿瘍腔を開放できたことが早期治療につながったと考える.

近年,小児中心静脈カテーテル留置においては超音波ガイド下穿刺が普及し,解剖学的に決まった位置からの穿刺でなくなったため,これまでの計算式では適切な位置に留置できなくなった.そこで,新たな計算式と,体表ランドマーク(LM)を用いた穿刺後計測法を試した.従来の式(身長cm-45)/20+4.5で留置すると平均12.1mm気管分岐部より頭側に留置されていたが,新計算式0.236×身長(cm)+17.4を用いた方法では平均7.0mmと改善した.LMとして胸骨角右縁を用い穿刺部からの距離の実測にて留置すると平均2.6mm頭側であった.超音波ガイド下穿刺では,LMを用いた穿刺後計測が適切と考えられた.

脳磁図は非侵襲的にヒトの脳活動を捉える技術であるが、磁性を帯びた金属がアーチファクトとなり計測を妨げることがある。本研究では18種類の歯科用金属の組成の違いが脳磁図計測へ与える影響、磁気共鳴画像装置(MRI)による高磁場の影響、さらにハンディタイプの消磁器の効果を検証した。それぞれの金属材料を(1)未処理、(2)消磁器による消磁後、(3)MRIによる磁場印加後、(4)再度の消磁後の4つの状態で磁場計測した。各材料を往復運動させた時の磁場を全頭型脳磁図計で計測し1分間の平均パワーを求めた。対照として材料のない状態での状態の磁場を1分間、10回ずつ記録し、平均値+標準偏差の5倍をアーチファクトの判定基準値とした。主成分が強磁性体の8種類のうち状態1から4で基準値以上であった材料は、それぞれ6、5、8、7種類であった。強磁性体でない10種類では、それぞれ1、0、4、2種類であり、状態1での1種類も基準値を6.2%上回るのみであった。以上より、1.強磁性体でない材料では脳磁図計測に大きな影響を及ぼさない可能性が高いこと、2.強磁性体であっても脳磁図計測に支障をきたさない材料も存在すること、3.MRI検査による磁場の印加では磁性体の性質に関わらず材料が磁化する可能性が高いことが示された。この結果は様々な歯科用金属を装着する被験者の脳磁図計測の際に役立つ。

ゲームやゲーム的な手法を取り入れた教育・研修の取り組みは長年行われてきたが,近年ゲーミフィケーションという概念が提唱されて以降,新たな特徴や可能性が期待されている.本稿では,まずゲーミングシミュレーションやシリアスゲームなどの以前からのゲームの教育利用からの変遷の中にゲーミフィケーションを位置づけて概観する.ゲーミフィケーションのデザイン手法としての特徴を解説した上で,安全教育におけるゲーミフィケーション導入の方向性として,安全訓練・実地演習の活性化,安全意識啓発活動のアウトリーチ向上,安全教育の課題解決に向けた参加促進の3 つの観点から,関連事例を交えてその可能性を論じる.

This study aimed to investigate the differences in the development of muscle thickness (MT) in the lower limbs with specific sports-event training. Furthermore, the relationship between MT of the lower limbs for weightlifters and sprinters and their competition performances (total weight lifted and 100m sprint times) was examined. Subjects were 64 males divided into 3 groups: weightlifters (n=20), sprinters (n=20), and untrained subjects as controls (n=24). The MT{relative to (body weight)1/3}of knee extensors (KE), knee flexors (KF), plantar flexors (PF) and dorsi flexors (DF) was measured at 21 sites (proximal, middle and distal) along the length of the upper and lower leg by B-mode ultrasound. The MT of KE for weightlifters was significantly greater than that for sprinters and controls, while the MT of KF and PF for sprinters was significantly greater than that for weightlifters and controls. The MT of rectus femoris (RF), vastus intermedius (VI), vastus lateralis (VL) and vastus medialis (VM) for weightlifters was significantly greater than that for sprinters and controls, while the MT of RF and VM for sprinters was greater than that of controls. On the other hand, the MT of KE for weightlifters and sprinters (especially VM) correlated significantly with competition performances. These results indicated that squatting affected the MT of KE except for RF while sprinting affected the MT of KF and PF. It was also concluded that the MT of KE for weightlifters and sprinters (particularly VM) was related to their competition performances.

本稿の目的は,日本における二酸化炭素排出実質ゼロ宣言の波及過程を明らかにし,気候変動政策の転換を引き起こしたメカニズムの一端を解明することである.政策波及研究の知見に基づき,国と自治体の双方向の垂直的な影響,自治体間の水平的な波及過程,国際都市ネットワークからの波及,その他の促進/阻害要因を,日本政府を含む全国的な波及過程研究と神奈川県の事例研究から明らかにする.半構造化インタビューと文献資料調査の結果,まず国際都市ネットワークに繋がる先進的自治体が宣言し,それに注目した国が自治体へ宣言を呼びかけ,宣言自治体の増加が国によるゼロ宣言の一因となり,自治体の宣言がさらに促進されていくという,垂直的波及と水平的波及の連鎖過程が明らかになった.

Recent first-principles studies on step structures and adatom diffusion on SiC(0001) surfaces are reviewed. SiC is a promising material for next-generation power electronics, and SiC power devices are already on the market. The obtained formation energies of all the possible atomic steps provide a definite identification of the most relevant atomic step for two vicinal directions inclined toward either <1100> or <1120> direction on SiC(0001) surfaces. Relations between the energetics of surface steps and macroscopic step morphology are discussed. Diffusion mechanism for Si, C, and H adatoms which are three important chemical elements of gas sources of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) for SiC is revealed both on the surface terraces and near the surface steps.

Background: Little is known about the vulnerable populations and problem drinking in terms of health inequality. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between health indifference estimated by Health Interest Scale (HIS) and problem drinking identified by the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT).Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted utilizing data from a nationwide internet survey in Japan in 2022. The number of total participants was 29,377, with 49% of them being male, and the mean age was 47.9 (±17.9) years. The participants were categorized into the following groups based on the quintiles of HIS score: health indifference (0–16), low health interest (17–20), middle health interest (21–22), middle-high interest (23–26) and high health interest (27–36) groups. Problem drinking was identified as AUDIT score of ≥8 points.Results: The association between health indifference and problem drinking was explored through logistic regression with adjustment for various socioeconomic status, such as education, income level, and occupation; the adjusted odds ratio (aOR) was 1.72 [95% confidence interval (CI): 1.51–1.95].Conclusion: Health indifferent or lower health interest groups were a vulnerable population for problem drinking, regardless of their socioeconomic status. It could be useful to identify the health indifferent group through HIS and to monitor the impact of health intervention for this group for the reduction of health inequality.

価値という言葉はさまざまな使い方をされており,その意味するところは必ずしも同じものとはなっていない.本研究は土木事業の合理的な整備のために,土木構造物のもつさまざまな価値を明らかにすることを目的としている.まず,土木構造物の現状を整理するとともに,一般的に考えられている価値を分類して,その中から土木構造物にとくに関係が深いと思われる価値を抽出した.つぎに,それらを実例とともに示し,土木構造物の価値構造を提示した.最後に,土木構造物の価値向上に向けた土木技術者の取組みについて言及したものである.

This letter presents an integrated 5G NR n79-band power amplifier with high power and efficiency that was fabricated using WIN Semiconductors’ 0.25-μm GaN/SiC technology. The stability and linearity issues of the PA is thoroughly considered. High efficiency and broadband operation were achieved using a continuous Class-F mode output matching network. This two-stage PA had a power gain, 3-dB power bandwidth, saturation power, and peak power-added efficiency of 20.4dB, 3.6-5.4GHz, 39.1dBm, and 50.9%, respectively. Its average output power was 33.3dBm under an error vector magnitude requirement of 3.5% for a 5G NR FR1 256-QAM 100-MHz-bandwidth modulated signal with a frequency of 3.7-5.0GHz.
