Nano-dots array whose diameter and interval were approximately 200 nm and 750 nm, respectively, were made parallel to the atomic step edges on sapphire wafers by focused ion beam (FIB) system. Upon annealing a bunched multi-steps structure formed at regularintervals and straight because the steps were pinned at the nano-dots. The step heights andterrace widths were approximately 2.0 nm, 700 nm in off-angle 0.15° and 10.0 nm, 350 nm in off-angle 1.0°, respectively.

閉塞性睡眠時無呼吸症候群に半夏厚朴湯が有効であった1例を経験した。症例は32歳の男性で, 21歳頃よりいびきと睡眠時無呼吸を指摘され, 27歳時に口蓋垂軟口蓋咽頭形成術を受けたが改善なく, 日中の過度の眠気を自覚するようになり来院した。「咽中炙臠」と考えられる咽喉部不快感を認めたため半夏厚朴湯エキス (ツムラ, 7.5g/日) を投与し, 2週間後には咽喉部不快感が消失した。1ヵ月後にはいびきが消失し, 日中の過度の眠気が自覚的に改善した。投与前と投与5ヵ月後に終夜睡眠ポリグラフィを施行したところ, 無呼吸指数は19.2から10.3に, 無呼吸低呼吸指数は19.2から12.8に改善していた。本例の経過から, 半夏厚朴湯が上気道抵抗を上気道下部において減弱させた可能性があると推察した。

深層学習を活用した胸部 X 線写真の自動診断は現在盛んに研究されている.診断精度を改善するためには,異常と疑われる局所画像を抽出し,深層学習ネットワークの入力とするかが重要である.そこで本研究では,「診断時に医師が凝視している領域を異常と疑われる局所画像として抽出できるのではないか」 という仮説を立てた上で,視線データを基に抽出された局所画像を入力とする深層学習モデルを構築した.その結果,視線データを使用しない場合,または医師訓練を受けていない被験者の視線データを使用した場合に比べて,医師の視線データを使用した場合により高い精度が認められ,視線データの有用性を示した.

We have found the new types of photonic liquid crystal, SmBP_<Iso> Phase, which shows the uniform isotropic iridescent color strongly dependent on the concentration, chirality and temperature for the first time. SmBP_<Iso> has both the finite local order parameter of the helix of the orientation and the smectic layer simultaneously, but spontaneously achieves complete isotropic nature in optical wave-length without any discontinuity in mesoscopic length scales. It was confirmed by visco-elastic measurement that the SmBP_<Iso> should be originated from the anomalous softening of the smectic layers due to the freezing effect on the molecular fluctuation induced by the introduction of the connection of the molecules. We expected that the random distribution of the distinct helix in 3-dimensional space can be stabilized by the apparent elastic long-range interaction "field" produced by the deformation of the smectic order. We have also first recognized two different types of thermodynamic phase transitions among SmBP phases, order-disorder transition for the spatial arrangement of the helix and the transition of the connectivity of smectic layers, which are attributed to the transition of the spatial distribution of the both orders, not belong to the order parameters themselves.

The present study was conducted to develop a Japanese version of the sport imagery ability questionnaire (SIAQ) and examine the features that determine imaging ability depending on the athlete’s competition level and competitive characteristics. In study 1, a questionnaire survey was conducted using the collective survey method. The subjects belonged to an athletic club at University A (N=196). Content validity was confirmed using the Content Validity Index, and factor analysis revealed a four-factor structure (subscale): skill imagery, strategy imagery, goal imagery, and mastery imagery. Furthermore, the results confirmed the reliability of using Cronbach’s α-coefficient. In study 2, a questionnaire survey was conducted in July 2017 using the collective survey method. The subjects were students of Physical Education University A (N=609). In order to confirm the test-retest reliability, a retest was carried out 2 weeks later. The results showed that athletes at a higher competitive level found it significantly easier to generate skill imagery, goal imagery, and sport imagery, and that skill imagery, goal imagery, mastery imagery and sport imagery reflected the competitive characteristics of the subjects. In addition, the test-retest reliability of the Japanese version of the SIAQ was confirmed. The Japanese version of the SIAQ developed in the present study will be useful for future research on imagery and image training in sports fields.

This paper considers the experimental analysis of the policy evaluation analysis in agricultural and environmental studies. First, the role of experimental analysis in the policy analysis is discussed. Experimental analysis requires randomization. However, for the agricultural policy analysis, it might be difficult to achieve assignment to treatment group randomly due to unfairness. Alternatively, hypothetical policy analysis using the stated choice and laboratory experiments are proposed. Second, the choice experiment study is considered to analyze the avoidance behavior of food risk after the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Experimental result shows that the radiation exposure via food consumption does not have an effect on the consumers’ choice behavior. It suggests that an appealing to the food safety aspect has less of an effect on the consumers’ choice behavior. Third, the effect of environmental policy in agriculture on farmers’ conservation behavior is analyzed using a laboratory experiment. Experimental result shows that the non-monetary support system has significant effect on conservation behavior in the early periods of the experiment. However, without compensation, most farmers stop the conservation activities in later periods. Finally, future research topics of the experimental studies for the agricultural and environmental policy analysis are proposed.

1993年にわが国最初の世界自然遺産に登録された屋久島では, 近年, ガイド者数が急増するなど, エコツーリズムが著しい興隆をみせている。本論は, わが国において先駆的な発展をみせている屋久島のエコツーリズムについて, 発展を促した要因を考察することによって, 近年の動きとその特徴を明らかにするものである。屋久島のエコツーリズムは,(1) 屋久島の優れた資源と (2) 交通機関の発達と観光客数の増加を主因とし,(3) 縄文杉保全対策にみる自然保護問題の顕在化,(4) 鹿児島県の環境文化村構想の策定,(5) 世界自然遺産の登録と行政の支援,(6) 西部林道問題の事例に典型的にみる従来型開発の転換を誘因として, 発展してきたと指摘できる。

筆者らが提唱した胃癌の組織亜型・胃底腺型胃癌,Gastric adenocarcinoma of fundic gland type(chief cell predominant type),GA-FG-CCPは非常に稀な腫瘍であるが,近年,日本全国の施設で発見され,海外からも報告されるようになった.しかし,胃底腺型胃癌の診断や治療の経験が無い場合,一般的には内視鏡診断,病理診断は比較的困難と考えられ,最終的には消化管専門病理医に病理学的に確定診断されるのが現状である.したがって,内視鏡医においては胃底腺型胃癌の臨床病理学的特徴を理解することに加え,通常内視鏡で胃底腺型胃癌を疑う所見を見落とさないことが重要であり,胃底腺型胃癌を疑う病変を生検した場合には的確な情報を病理医へ伝える必要がある.本稿では,胃底腺型胃癌の臨床病理学的特徴と現状での内視鏡的特徴を説明した後,胃底腺型胃癌のNBI併用拡大内視鏡を含む内視鏡診断のポイントについて言及する.

リアルタイムPCRを用いた未承認遺伝子組換えトウモロコシDAS59132系統(E32)の検知法を8機関によるバリデーション試験により評価した.試験試料は0%,0.05%,0.1%の3濃度粉末試料と0.01% の抽出DNA溶液試料で,各濃度試料を2点並行により併行再現性や室間再現性などを評価した.トウモロコシ内在性遺伝子の検出試験ではすべての試料において良好な増幅曲線が得られ,陽性と判定された.E32検出用試験では,すべての 0% 試験試料と1機関において 0.01% 試験試料2点の内1試料で2反応並行の1反応が陰性であった以外は,良好な増幅曲線が得られ陽性と判定された.検出限界は約0.01%と判断された.本研究により,E32の検知法の妥当性が確認された.

<p> 平成24(2012)年に「スポーツ基本計画」が策定され、「スポーツを通じてすべての人々が幸福で豊かな生活を営むことができる社会」をめざして「年齢や性別、障害等を問わず、広く人々が、関心、適性等に応じてスポーツに参画することができるスポーツ環境を整備」することが掲げられた。また、平成23(2011)年には、日本体育協会と日本オリンピック委員会より「スポーツ宣言日本~二十一世紀におけるスポーツの使命~」が発表され、スポーツの二十一世紀的価値とは、「素朴な運動の喜びを公正に分かち合い感動を共有することであり、身体的諸能力を洗練することであり、自らの尊厳を相手の尊重に委ねる相互尊敬である」としている。それにより、われわれが中長期的に取り組むべき課題が示されることになったが、そのひとつはオリンピック・パラリンピックムーブメントの融合(インクルージョン)であろう。</p><p> そこで本シンポジウムでは、この「融合(インクルージョン)」を進めていくための課題について、クーベルタン卿や嘉納治五郎先生、グッドマン博士の思想を取り上げて議論するために3名の先生にご登壇いただく。真田久先生には、嘉納先生の視点から多様性を認め合う重要性について、小倉和夫先生には、パラリンピックの理念の変遷と今後の課題について、そして藤田紀昭先生には、オリンピック・ムーブメントとパラリンピック・ムーブメント融合の可能性と課題についてそれぞれお話いただき、オリンピック・パラリンピックムーブメントの融合(インクルージョン)の意義と方向性を示すことを目的とした。</p>

A new synthesis of 24-fluoro-1α, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D2 (4a) and its 24-epimer (4b) is described. Starting with 1α, 3β-bis[(tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy]-24-norchol-5, 7-dien-23-al (5), a mixture of 4a and 4b was obtained in 3% overall yield in 6 steps. Reversed-phase HPLC cleanly separated the mixture into the two C-24 epimers. The X-ray crystallographic analysis of the 4-phenyl-1, 2, 4-triazoline-3, 5-dione (PTAD) adduct 11b, which was derived from the ester 6, unambiguously determined the configuration at C-24 of this compound. Based on the X-ray analysis, the configuration at C-24 of 4a and 4b was unequivocally determined.
