This study conducted a three-wave panel survey concerning subjective rewards as a factor that inhibits caregiver turnover (T1 [N = 1,087]), T2 [N = 690], and T3 [N = 546]). A longitudinal logistic regression analysis was conducted using the Subjective Rewards Scale for Human Service Professionals (SRS-HS), which uses the five factors of financial, growth, social, interpersonal, and stability as independent variables and the presence or absence of job turnover in the subsequent year as the dependent variable. In addition, we conducted a cross-sectional analysis that categorized turnovers into workplace or occupational turnovers. The regression analysis revealed that turnover among caregivers was prevented by hygiene factors such as financial and stability rewards. Furthermore, stability, interpersonal, and growth rewards, which showed relatively high levels, indicate the positive aspects of caregiver work and should be actively publicized to increase human resources.

This paper examines the issue of deepfake technology from technological and ethical perspectives. This technology has the potential to revise the traditional notion of replication and undermine the evidentiary capabilities of video and audio. The development of deepfakes also risks creating a threat to authentication technology. Pornographic videos using deepfake technology have also become a social problem. Therefore, this paper examines what possible countermeasures can be taken to address the risks of this new technology. Moreover, we argue that engineers who develop AI programs should consider the risks seriously.

「人種」は,一般に浸透している用語であるが,概念の定義を学ばなければ誤解しやすい.人種概念に対する誤った認識や,過去・現在の人種主義に対する理解の欠如は,国内外で生じている人種差別への理解を矮小化し,他者への差別・偏見を助長する土壌にもなりかねない.人種概念の理解に向けて地理教育も積極的な役割を担う必要がある.現行の高校地理教科書における「人種」および「黒人」に関する記述を分析した結果,すべての教科書において「人種」や「黒人」という語は使用されているが,概念の定義を説明している教科書は限定的であり,その説明にも不十分な点がみられた.「人種」や「黒人」という語を用いることでしか表せない現実も存在するため,使用を必要以上に避けるのではなく,注意を払って使用することが求められる.また,不必要に人種概念によって地域を表象することにより,単純な地域理解に生徒を導いてしまうことは避けなければならない.

Several good manufacturing practice (GMP) compliance issues and their associated quality problems that have been revealed since 2020 have led to large-scale recalls and supply suspensions of drug products in Japan. This paper provides an overview of the causes and countermeasures for supply disruptions of low-molecular-weight chemical pharmaceutical agents, focusing on quality-related issues. A recent increase in the use of generic drugs emphasized the importance of strengthening active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) supply chains and ensuring GMP compliance among drug manufacturers. In addition, increasing recalls in the drug products of certain marketing authorization holders due to storage stability problems strongly suggests the need to improve their development process considerably. Other measures to stabilize the supply of pharmaceuticals, including increasing stockpiles of APIs, were also discussed.

近年,ケアにまつわる議論が活発化しており,ケアを中心に社会のあり方を考えることが提言されている。ところが,成功するビジネスをケアの考えで構成できるか否かは問われていない。本研究では,ケアの考えで構成されたサービス,つまり,サービス・ウィズ・ケアがビジネスとして成立し成功し得るかを,「北欧,暮らしの道具店」を運営する株式会社クラシコムを対象とした探索的ケース・スタディによって調べた。ケースを特徴付けるファインディングとして(1)独自の文化資産の構築,(2)顧客からの雇用,(3)経営がアジャイルという3つを見出した上,これらがすべて正義の倫理ではなくケアの倫理によって説明されることを示した。このことにより,ケアの倫理に則ったサービス・ウィズ・ケアがビジネスとして成功し得ることを示しただけではなく,ケアを中心にしたビジネスのあり方を探求するための新たな研究課題を見出すことが可能になった。

Background: Healthcare workers (HCWs) employed personal protective equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic, crucial to protecting themselves from infection. To highlight the efficacy of PPE in preventing environmental infection among HCWs, a systematic review was conducted in line with PRISMA guidance.Methods: A search of the PubMed and Web of Science databases was conducted from January 2019 to April 2021 using pre-defined search terms. Articles were screened by three researchers. The approved papers were read in full and included in this review if relevance was mutually agreed upon. Data were extracted by study design and types of PPEs.Results: 47 of 108 identified studies met the inclusion criteria, with seven reviews and meta-analyses, seven cohort, nine case-control, fifteen cross-sectional studies, four before and after, four case series, and one modeling studies. Wearing PPE offered COVID-19 protection in HCWs but required adequate training. Wearing surgical masks provided improved protection over cloth masks, while the benefit of powered air-purifying respirators is less clear, as are individual gowns, gloves, and/or face shields.Conclusions: Wearing PPE, especially facial masks, is necessary among HCWs, while training in proper use of PPE is also important to prevent COVID-19 infection.

近年,韓国内ではプロテスタント人口が年々低下している状況であるが,福音主義教会は依然としてその教勢を維持し,海外宣教活動に積極的に取り組んでいる。特に,日本で成長している韓国プロテスタント教会の展開過程を通じて,韓国プロテスタント教会による宣教活動を再考することが本稿の目的である。  本稿は以下の章で成り立つ。  (1)韓国プロテスタント教会が海外宣教に目を向けることになった要因と,それを期に本格的に始まった海外宣教活動上の特徴を考える。(2)韓国に本部をもちながら日本で積極的に展開している「汝矣島(ヨイド)純福音教会(Yoido Full Gospel Church)」を中心に,韓国での特徴が日本においてもそのまま適用あるいは維持されているかを確認する。このために韓国においてのヨイド純福音教会がもつ特質について分析しつつ,日本における宣教活動の実態を把握する。(3)大都市を中心として展開している純福音教会(Japan Full Gospel Association)が,実際の伝道現場でどのように信徒の宗教的ニーズに応じているのかを,参与観察および聞き取り調査から検討する。
